Food, for years , has always just been adequate but it's close to home and drinks were cheap so we always tolerated it. Tonight, the service was unbearable. Not too crowded but our server A. was just lazy and inattentive . We had to flag him down to place our order, and again to get a second drink or some water, and yet again to get a check ... infuriating. Never asked if we needed anything ( we did.) or if food was prepared as ordered ( it wasn't.) We watched him hanging out by kitchen doors with other young male servers socializing all night and just ignoring his tables. We almost asked to change tables because the women servers seemed on top of their game and attentive to customers all around us. Hopefully A. Reads this review and learns from the experienced servers around him to try to do better but we won't be back! read more

Sam Snead's has great food and excellent service all in a perfect setting for a nice experience.

Solid restaurant for the area and they are open later than most. Food and drinks were spot on at dinner. Fresh fish, cheesy risotto, and the super food veggie mix is so tasty. Cocktails were great and service was wonderful. Finished with some coconut cream pie. Delicious! Must come back for happy hour and some key lime pie. read more

The brushetta was fresh and tasty. I ordered the thin sliced chicken, cheese and nuts salad. My husband ordered fish & chips, kids ordered grilled cheese and a cheeseburger. See pics. The salad was great, exactly what I had in mind. Kids meal were large portion; adults serving. My husband's fish & chips, the fish (were only two would have been better if it were three) but it did bring fries and cole slaw bottom line was good, the best part was the cole slaw... Our waitress was not good (maybe her first job ever or not as detailed or even slacking on training) but Pam the bartender made up for it (good thing we sat by the bar) by picking up where she fell behind on. Refills, ketchup/mustard for burger/fries, a bag for the two to go containers, addtl napkins, small plates for appetizers so we wouldn't use our napkins... If u go to this restaurant, ask for Pam if you want excellent service. If she was our server I would have rated it a 4 star because the food wasn't bad. Will we go there again...? Only if Pam is working and will be our server. read more

Don't expect much from this place... The steak was super overcooked, but not really the place where you should complain given that it's just a resto to grab a bite after a round of golf. The flatbread appetizer was probably the highlight of the entire meal. Skip this place unless you're starving. read more

if there are five places on your list of dining options in the Naples area, make this one sixth. as i tucked into the starch i could almost hear chef ramsey screaming, "it's bloody wallpaper glue" as he stuck a fork in it that wouldn't move an iota. and what the kitchen did to a $30 plate of grouper was criminal. "blackened" is a seasoning not a literal color. the only saving grace was the server. very pleasant. there are at least a half dozen places that would be a better dining experience. read more

Nice place and nice setting. My wife and I sat outside with a view of the golf course. She had the shrimp and lobster pasta and enjoyed it. I went with one of the waiter's recommendations and had the pork tenderloin. It was very ordinary. The pork was dry and the mashed potatoes and warm cabbage salad were just blah. This has to be the best burger in Southwest Florida. Cooked to perfection. From 3 to 7 pm 1/2 price wine, beer and well drinks. Service is top notch and the view of the Mustang Golf course in Lely is perfect. I would strongly recommend this restaurant. read more

In a word disappointing. Pretty place with less than mediocre food. Soggy flat bread, shrimp cocktail that had a mefalic taste . The snapper was bland but not bad. If i were to go back i would stick to salad and burvers and hope for the best. read more

Wouldn't know if the food was good or bad, never talked to a server. Arrived about 3:30 on a Sunday, several open tables in the bar area. Sat for over 20 minutes as the server behind the bar, who looked our way twice, neglected acknowledge us, but spent plenty of time helping one guest select their beer. Not expecting stellar service at a Tavern, but do expect to order a drink within 20 minutes at a place that was only 60% full. I head the food was supposed to be good, I'll never know. read more

The baby back ribs are smoked, fall off the bone and consistently delicious. I eat in and take out. I have never had a bad meal and they have above average wine by the glass. Burgers are also delicious. read more

Food was OK, I just had a club sandwich which is pretty hard to screw up, and wrap sandwiches looked good. Only complaint is the hours, and I believe they are only open during season. They also offer cheap draught beer which is a plus. read more

We had a wonderful time here. The restaurant is a typical golf club setting. The food was delicious. I had the crab cakes and they were loaded with crab and really savory. My son ordered the ribs and they gave him a full rack. They have an oak smoker or something of the sort. His ribs were so flavorful and rich! Really delicious. We took half home for lunch the next day. Their happy hour wine special was decent. Overall it was a really fun time with some great friends. read more

We've been to Sam Snead's and food has always been reliable. Walked in tonight at 10:00pm after our flight at Ft. Myers was cancelled. We were thrilled that the website stated they were open until 11:00pm. Not the case - the staff and manager decided to close before 10:00pm stating their liquor license was based on volume. 10 other people came in behind us who were also turned away. Clearly, the staff wanted to go home before the closing hour. Horrible service and horrible management. Very disappointing. read more

Went here today for lunch as we are staying at the resort. Service and food were very good. our waitress was very attentive. The view looking out to the golf course is very beautiful. It was very cloudy and even started storming during our lunch, and even with that, the huge glass windows still made for a lovely view. The food is a little on the expensive side for what the offer (hence the 4 stars), but that's typical of a golf course restaurant. Try the spicy shrimp appetizer, it's delicious! read more
