Came after seeing a reel on Instagram. I don't see myself coming back here often, but it's an alright place specifically for pork belly KBBQ which is what they're known for. I would try to make a reservation in advance in case it gets busy. Better for social eats with friends. --- Food: The menu is limited to the pork belly platters and your choice of side dishes (also comes with Kimchi fried rice at the end). We got the soybean paste stew and found it was a little salty by itself. Might feel a little overpriced if you ever do KBBQ cooking or make pork belly at home but there is a lot of food and you'll probably have some leftovers. This was my first time having minari (korea watercress) and I thought it was a great combination - the pork belly platters come with a huge serving of it! Experience: Service was a bit confusing. I've been to places where you cook your own meat and also places where they cook for you but this was an odd in-between. It was a little confusing what was self-serve vs. what we could get ourselves. For example the side dishes are in the back and I might not have known to look for it and get it myself if I hadn't seen that on the reel. There was water further back on the table but I also wasn't sure if I could just take that or if I had to ask the server about it (ended up asking the server). The servers cook the pork belly for you, but there is a spout where excess oil pours out into a bowl and we had to let the server know it was going to overflow and they needed to change it. Overall the staff are friendly but it might have been nice for them to ask if we were first time guests and inform about what to do. Vibes: I came with my parents and I realized it was probably a better spot for coming with friends rather than family. They had a lot of current pop songs playing loudly and the restaurant demographic was an overall younger crowd. Along with he food quality and server experience I would go somewhere else next time with family. With friends we would probably want to go somewhere with more variety in meats but that's why if you're craving pork belly specifically this could be a good option.
I could have sworn I saw this go viral, and I remember I wanted to try it. Originally we wanted to try Seoul Belly, but they are closed on Monday nights. When we went, it was pretty empty. We had 3 people and we asked the waitress if we should get the portion for 2 people or 3-4. She immediately said 2 people. It came with a pancake, kimchi soup, pork belly, and fried rice. The pancake could have been crispier. The pork belly came out slightly cooked. She would cut it up for us and would come by to spread around the pork belly and cook it more. It also came with Minari and you could put Kimchi and garlic on the grill. They had unlimited side dishes or lettuce, cucumbers, kimchi, and fish cake. We made wraps with the pork belly, and it was delicious. The Kimchi fried rice served at the end was absolutely delicious. All in all, this place is fantastic and I would definitely go again. The portion for 2 people could definitely have served 4 people.
I had an absolutely fantastic dining experience here at Samgyeopjib. I visited during the week night with one of my good friends. We had to put ourselves on a waitlist and be on standby for about 15 minutes. The wait was definitely worthwhile! All the meals are cooked by the expert staff here. They are friendly and extremely efficient. All the sides were delicious. The watercress and other herbs enhanced the meal by 10000%. They are free to grab from the self-serve station. If there are any leftovers available in the end, the staff there will create some pork belly kimchi fried rice for you. It was a perfect way to conclude the meal and have something else to munch on. Nothing wasted from the pan! I can't wait to go back and take my other friends and family there in the future!
There was nothing particularly bad about this place. The atmosphere is more like a local neighborhood restaurant, and the servers were all friendly. I did not have any service issues or complaints during the meal. The food was good overall, and the best part was definitely the minari. It was very fresh and much thicker and better quality than what I usually see at grocery stores. You can tell that minari is what this place specializes in, and that part was genuinely impressive. The samgyeopsal was tasty, but it did not feel especially different from pork belly that I could buy and grill myself at home. It was solid, just not memorable enough to justify going out of my way for it. One friend wanted to try the yukhoe, but it had a strong frozen or previously frozen feel to me. I cannot say that for sure, but it did not taste especially fresh or stand out in a good way. My biggest issue was the price. They advertise an unlimited salad bar, but Korean restaurants will usually refill side dishes when you ask anyway, even without calling it unlimited. So the "all-you-can-eat" part felt a little more like marketing than a major benefit. Yes, the minari is fresh, but the overall meal still felt expensive for what you get. It is a decent place with good service and very fresh minari, but I would not personally feel the need to come back often at this price point.
I love Korean ssam, so when I heard there was a new spot in Cerritos specializing in pork belly wraps, I had to check it out. My family came for dinner on Saturday night, and the wait wasn't long. The restaurant is small with a hole-in-the-wall feel. We ordered the large combo, which was perfect for our group of 4 people. It came with leek pancakes, soup, grilled pork belly, watercress, unlimited side dishes, and a self-serve bar stocked with fresh vegetables and a variety of sauces. The staff grills the pork belly for you, then you can build each wrap however you like. Every bite was packed with flavor, and it was one of the best meals I've had. They also prepare kimchi fried rice at the end, which was a fun way to finish the experience. My only complaint is that everything leaned a bit salty - from the side dishes to the pork belly and even the kimchi fried rice. Aside from that, the meal was tasty, satisfying, and filling. I'd recommend ordering one of the combos sets to share!
Most AUTHENTIC Korean restaurant I have been too. The set two person menu is all you need to get the experience, quantity, and variety of flavor! The best quality food for almost what felt like all you can eat portions. It felt like I was in a halmeoni's (Korean grandma's) homey kitchen where she spent the whole day cooking because there were just so many options. I appreciate the SELF SERVE BONCHON which allowed me to eat as many veggies as my heart desired. Although unlimited they didn't skip quality freshness and authenticity. No sugary flavors and very crispy veggies really came through and proved to be top tier kimchi and cucumbers. Then the sizzling PORK BELLY comes out ready to eat and only keeps crisping on the skillet as more time passes which is the best of both worlds. The skillet is kept on top of a portable stove like the ones in Hmart! The first couple courses included a kimchi or soy bean stew and a fried vegetable CHAN which were both delicious. The KIMCHI stew had such good flavor and even had some pork in it ! They even allow you to order rice for free with the set menu. The last course was KIMCHI FRIED RICE mixed fresh on your skillet and topped with torched gooey cheese which the server formed into a heart! The thoughtfulness behind the SERVICE was also much appreciated. And workers attention to detail and happiness on the job added to the experience. This is my new FAVORITE restaurant. As someone who doesn't go to the same place more than once that will not apply here. Great quality, price, portion and authenticity you are paying for the food and an experience. I absolutely loved the food here at Samgyeopjib! The menu is small and everyone pretty much comes here for their Minari Pork Belly Platters. The platters comes in two sizes, $79.99 that serves 2 and $129.99 that serves 3-4. My hubby and I went with the $79.99 size and it could've easily fed four of us. It came with seven thick pieces of pork belly slices that was cooked and cut up in front of us. Along with your pork belly order, you can choose either kimchi or soybean stew. We went with soybean stew and it was a bit salty, but that is to be expected. Our meal also came with green onion pancake, which was perfectly crispy on the edges. They also cook up kimchi fried rice at the end of our meal as part of our order. There is unlimited sides and veggies that you can help yourself to, which was super awesome because I love to use a lot of perilla leaves when I eat Korean pork belly wraps. The pork belly was perfectly seasoned and wasn't tough or chewy. While I didn't take a picture of it, there was a tiny little snail on our minari. I picked it off and dropped it to the ground. But yeah, just make sure that your minari is cooked well before eating. The people who work here are super helpful and friendly. They are constantly checking on our meat and helping us flip them so they don't burn. I love that they provide disposable aprons here! Looking forward to dining here again!
Came here on a Satueday around 5:30 already wait to be seated. Waitlist on yelp. Took around 40 minutes to be seated. Inside big tables kind tight. Self serve side dishes. Tablet on tables to order. We ordered the combo for 3-4 people it was plenty of food. The kitchen soup was good. Wish the side dishes were a bit more flavorful. The pork belly itself was thick but cooked quick on the portable stove. The service was ok they kept messing up our order and even were about to hand us the wrong receipt. All in all good for a one time try for taste to price.
If you're a fan of pork belly and ssam wraps, this place is definitely worth checking out. I was honestly surprised by how generous the portions were. Since it's mostly pork belly, I expected smaller servings, but we ended up with more than enough and actually felt like we got great value for the price. One of my favorite parts was that they offer unlimited perilla leaves and oyster mushrooms. Considering how expensive those can be at H Mart, it really made the meal feel even more worth it. Plus, with all the veggies and wraps, it feels a little healthier too. The tofu soup and Korean pancake were just okay, pretty much what I expected. But the service was quick and attentive, and they finish the meal by making kimchi fried rice with mozzarella cheese at the table, so definitely come hungry. This place has gotten really popular on TikTok, so the wait can be pretty long, but there's a ton of food and we even had leftovers to take home. I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area again.
Came here because I was influenced by an instagram reel. The pork belly and unlimited banchan bar reeled me in so I had to give it a try. We ordered the pork belly set meant for 2 people but it's honestly more than enough for 3 people. For reference, we are 3 girls. We came out super full. The pork belly set comes with your choice of 1 soup. We chose the kimchi stew. The kimchi stew was very flavorful! The banchan bar was nice. It came stocked and all the side dishes were delicious! Rice is free upon request. The pork belly itself was nothing special. You can honestly just make this all at home. Going in, I had an expectation that their pork belly was special/more tender and different from the others but it just tastes like regular pork belly. On the plus side, the fried rice was super yummy at the very end. Service was ok, they were super busy and it took a while to flag them down for things. The servers were all really kind though. The restaurant is small and has limited seating. The wait time can be long at peak dinner time. They closed their waitlist 1.5 hr before closing and a few people were turned away. It's worth a try but I wouldn't come back since this can easily be made at home and their meat quality wasn't anything extraordinary.
Okay wait, let me tell you about this because I was actually kind of excited going in. You know how picky I am with pork belly spots in OC--there are only a handful I genuinely like. But this place kept popping up all over Instagram, and the whole concept looked cute. It was supposed to feel like those nostalgic, slightly chaotic Korean BBQ spots back in Korea... you know, the kind that feels authentic and fun. But... it just didn't land. The second we walked in, something felt off. There was no proper air vent system, so they had the front door wide open to deal with all the smoke. Which, okay... I might have been able to overlook. But it was hot outside, so now it's hot inside, and even though the AC is technically on, what's the point if the door is just letting all the heat in? And then came the bugs. Since the door was open, flies were literally coming in and hovering around the food. At that point I was already a little uncomfortable, but I tried to stay open-minded because hey--if the food is amazing, maybe it's worth it, right? Nope. We went to grab some lettuce from the salad bar, brought it back to the table... and there it was. A big dead fly just sitting between the leaves. Like fully visible. Not even hidden. That was it for me. The second I saw that, my appetite just disappeared. Completely. We tried to brush it off for a second, but honestly... we couldn't. It just ruined the whole experience. We ended up leaving without finishing our meal because it just didn't feel right to keep eating there. To be fair, the pork belly and fried rice we did try were okay. Not terrible, but definitely not enough to make up for everything else. Honestly, I really wanted to like this place, but between the heat, the flies, and that moment at the salad bar... I just can't see myself going back.
I had tried to come to Samgyeopjib with my brother for his birthday but the wait was too long, so I decided to come early a different day to line up for the first seating. I'm not sure if the excitement is finally letting up, but we showed up at 4:25PM on a Friday and were the first in line, and even after they opened at 5PM the restaurant was NOT full by 5:30PM (and there are only 10 tables). The restrooms are located outside around the corner but there is a sink inside the main dining area for washing your hands. The atmosphere was no-fuss. The menu is simple basically offering the core pork belly set menu, and you can add on additional dishes (see wall menu). The set menu includes the pork belly with minari, a choice of kimchi or soybean stew, a pancake, and fried rice or noodle at the end. You order through a tablet at the table. There is a 2-person set for $79.99 and a 3-4 person set for $129.99 (as of March 2026). Service was friendly throughout the meal. They do come to help grill the pork and make the fried rice at the end. The food itself was tasty, and it was a generous serving of pork belly. I like how crispy the pork got cooked on the tableside grill, and the unique oil dripping aspect to drain excess fat. The minari also complemented the meat well. There is a self-serve bar on the side with banchan and lettuce/perilla leaf for wraps. I will say that I was slightly underwhelmed by the banchan, and I was also a bit underwhelmed by the kimchi jjigae (stew). I felt like the stew was missing tofu and was a bit small for two people. Many people also mentioned that the set comes with a seafood pancake but we were only served a rather thin kimchi pancake. The menu mentions an option of fried noodle at the end but the tablet only had fried rice as a choice; I would have chosen fried rice anyway though and it was yummy. Chilled water bottles were provided and we asked for two refills (no extra charge). The sauces were also decent. I particularly enjoyed the grilled king oyster mushrooms. Overall, I enjoyed my meal but compared to some of what other people have reviewed I am not sure if the value is as great as it was before. It's still a unique samgyeopsal restaurant but perhaps the hype is cooling.
4.5/5! The restaurant is very small, so the wait could be long. We got the minari samgyeopsal and it came with complementary fried rice at the end. I liked the self-serving bar where you can get lettuce, radish, rice paper, perilla leaves, and kimchi for your ssam wraps. The amount of food is just right. The workers were extremely nice and helpful. For water, they provide water bottles which I thought was very nice.

There is a 2-person set for $79.99 and a 3-4 person set for $129.99 (as of March 2026). Service was friendly throughout the meal. They do come to help grill the pork and make the fried rice at the end. The food itself was tasty, and it was a generous serving of pork belly. I like how crispy the pork got cooked on the tableside grill, and the unique oil dripping aspect to drain excess fat. The minari also complemented the meat well. There is a self-serve bar on the side with banchan and lettuce/perilla leaf for wraps. I will say that I was slightly underwhelmed by the banchan, and I was also a bit underwhelmed by the kimchi jjigae (stew). I felt like the stew was missing tofu and was a bit small for two people. Many people also mentioned that the set comes with a seafood pancake but we were only served a rather thin kimchi pancake. The menu mentions an option of fried noodle at the end but the tablet only had fried rice as a choice; I would have chosen fried rice anyway though and it was yummy. Chilled water bottles were provided and we asked for two refills (no extra charge). The sauces were also decent. I particularly enjoyed the grilled king oyster mushrooms. Overall, I enjoyed my meal but compared to some of what other people have reviewed I am not sure if the value is as great as it was before. I have been waiting to eat this place since I saw it on TikTok. I came with my boyfriend on a Sunday night. We arrived at 4:30 and there was another family ahead of us. By 4:45 more cars came in and we decided to just line up behind the family. The restaurant opens 10 minutes before opening time so we put our name down on the iPad and waited. We were seated right at opening time. There's only one thing on the menu here so we got what everyone gets - pork combo for 2. Food arrived fast but once everyone got their food and the grills were on, the restaurant felt like summer. It was pretty hot and the ac isn't strong. Despite the heated restaurant, the food was good! The grilled pork was nice and crispy. They had a salad bar so I grabbed lots of pickled radish and perilla leaves. Overall, a great time. Super simple menu, no frills type of restaurant! Ordering is easy, just pick your items from an iPad. We went with the large portion of the Minari Porkbelly, and definitely get the fried rice! The large portion easily fed a group of 4, with lots of leftovers too. Along with the pork belly, the set comes with a choice of soup (kimchi jigae or doenjang jigae) and a kimchi pancake! Plus, they have an entirely self serve banchan bar where you can grab all your veggies, stir fried fish cake, and even tteokbokki! The pork belly comes to the table cooked, and the server works on cutting up the meat in to bite sized pieces. Once you're ready for the fried rice, they'll come back to cook it up along with whatever pork you have left on the grill. The fried rice was definitely a highlight for me! We ordered a portion for 2 and other dishes to share and it was definitely enough food. I usually do not eat a lot of pork belly but this was delicious with the watercress. We've always passed this place and never had a chance to try it! We finally were able to go right when they opened and didn't have to wait (usually there's tons of people waiting in line to get onto the waitlist). Grilled pork belly served sizzling on a hot stone, an unlimited veggie bar, kimchi jiggae, ssamjang, and a whole lineup of sauces - I had no idea we were walking into a full-on feast! We went with the Minari Pork Belly Platter, 2-person portion (a smart call.) Even as people who can eat *a lot,* we still ended up with a solid amount of leftover meat. The veggie bar honestly deserves its own shoutout. We wrapped, stacked, and inhaled so many greens that our meal felt impressively balanced... at least by pork belly standards. And then there was the cheese rice finale... which we completely forgot about. At the end of the meal, a worker scooped the leftover pork and rice onto the hot stone, melted cheese all over it, shaped it into a heart, and quietly walked away. Cute. Iconic. 10/10 for presentation. Service-wise, it was a little slow when we tried to get someone's attention, but I did appreciate the kiosk at each table that lets you order food whenever you want. That said, I do wish water refills were an option on the tablet too. Now for the real question: with this place going viral, was it worth the 2-hour wait and the hefty price tag? For us... not quite. We visited Samgyeopjib and got in line around 4:45 pm. Even though we were fifth in line, we were not seated until about 5:40 pm. The wait was longer than expected, and I am assuming it may have been due to staffing. Just be prepared for a potential wait, especially during peak hours. Parking can also be tough, so give yourself extra time. Once seated, ordering was easy through the tablet. We then got our sides/banchan, then followed by the appetizer, which was good and a nice way to start the meal. The pork belly arrived precooked, and we finished cooking it to our liking at the table. We mixed it with the minari, which added a fresh and flavorful touch. The banchan on the side complemented the meat well and completed the experience. Overall, it was a good experience. The food was satisfying, and it is a spot we would consider coming back to when we are craving Korean BBQ. Just expect possible parking challenges and a longer wait time. Finally got to try this place on our second attempt. The first time we came was last Saturday around 515pm and the parking lot was packed and line was out to the street so we left. This time we went early around 4pm and waited 1 hour to get in. It was worth the wait. The restaurant is kind of small but clean and they play decent Korean music. The staff and service is on point. They are all on top of their game and excellent. The menu is very small and simple. The kimchi stew was very basic not the best but not the worst 6/10. The pork belly with the Minari is the main star of this restaurant 15/10. So good we got additional orders of both. In the end they make a fried rice with the left over pork belly and it was bomb as well 10/10. The all you can eat side dishes is the best part because we love perilla and wrapping the pork belly with it and eating with kimchi so it was a 10/10. They do have other things as well but not a lot. Like the menu small and simple. Overall I would go again but may be better to go later than when it opens because that line was crazy and gets long fast. Soooo delish!! We waited patiently for the crazy line to finally die down, and tonight was the night! We cook minari and pork belly at home all the time, so we were SUPER EXCITED to try this place to get served and no cleaning up after! We ordered: Minari & Pork belly for 2 + Minari Yukhwe bibimbab + Soju!! BOMB!!! Service is super friendly and on point, they keep coming by to check on your pork and minari. I was so excited to try this place but unfortunately had a very negative experience. We waited 45 minutes to be seated, which was okay, but when the side dishes came out, the egg dish had a whole shell in it. I let the server know and he responded that's because they crack a lot of eggs at once. He was very nonchalant and did not seem concerned. We didn't feel comfortable to finish that dish. After we were halfway through our meal, I noticed the table behind us had not gotten their food despite being seated much earlier than us. I saw the server noticing and finally bringing out their food without offering anything for the major inconvenience. Bomb dot com. Came here to celebrate a friend's birthday and they were able to accommodate 10-12 ppl. We had the minari pork belly platter, it came with Korean pancake side dishes and super mouth watering pork belly and minari. They have a self Service bar for side dishes and lettuce and garlic and sauces. Idk if we added on or it came with, but we also had the soybean paste soup! And ofc at the end, they make you kimchi fried rice. It was delicious. It came out to be $60/person minus the bday boy (including some soju and coke 0). The hype is real and this time IG did not disappoint!! Simple and yet it was sooooo good! Grilled pork belly with minari wrapped in lettuce along with garlic, kimchi and of course, ssamjang - mouth watering and deliciously addictive. An order for 2 people gives you 4 huge and thick slice of pork belly, with Korean pancake, your choice of kimchi stew or soybean soup, and kimchi fried rice. It was a very fulfilling and hearty meal and with the waiters cooking for you, this definitely was an amazing experience. They open at 5pm and get busy during dinner rush so get there early because it's a small space with minimal seatings. Highly recommended and will be visiting again soon! Staff is friendly. They let my party move tables when were initially placed right by the open door on a chilly day. Limited seating. Side dishes were buffet style and not too fresh in my opinion. Went back for a second time and happy to find out that they installed a Yelp waitlist. They only give 5min grace period instead of 15 so you have to be quick otherwise they just give your table away. I wish they would increase to ten minutes since the yelp list isn't very accurate with time and you might walk away for a bit since the wait is more like an hour. Food wise it was still delicious. We had 4 people this time so we ordered the two person combo and the yukhoe. It was delicious. The kimchi pancake seems to have changed a bit - still crispy but more thin it seems. Saw this place on social media and came for Saturday dinner with my wife. We arrived early at 4:30 since it gets busy and were seated right at opening. The pork belly was excellent with a great fat-to-meat ratio, and the watercress added a unique, refreshing flavor. Saw this place on Instagram and came in excited to try it, but left pretty disappointed mainly because of the service. 1. Tried calling ahead on two different days and no one ever picked up. I understand places get busy, but this felt excessive. 2. No venting system. For a KBBQ spot, that's honestly unacceptable. 3. The menu on the wall doesn't match the iPad menu. They open at 5 PM, and by 6 PM they were already out of yukhoe and noodles. 4. A "Grade B" from the health inspection for a KBBQ place says a lot. (Updated 3/19/26) 5. Ordered extra minari, and the server came by and, without asking or saying anything, just dumped it straight onto the grill and left. (We were planning to add it after ordering more pork belly.) Only positive: the pork belly and minari were actually good. Decent portions and the seasoning was on point. But honestly, for what you're paying, I'd rather spend a little more and go somewhere else for a better overall dining experience. read more

Portions are extremely generous. We went there with three people total and we got the portion for two people, and we could not even finish it. I do love that you can get your own Banchan, I hate asking for it over and over again. If I'm honest, I'm just there for the sides my body doesn't like to eat more than 6 oz of red meat at a time lol. I will say the flavors run a little sweeter so if you like that you will like this. The best part was probably the fried rice, that fried rice was the best I've ever had. I'm not sure if I would come back because the wait was so long and we were attacked by mosquitoes outside.
