First off, location is good since parking is pretty easy. Lots of tables and great place to study. The treats also look delicious. My go to has been Yemeni latte half sweet with oat milk. The coffee is nice and strong and the flavors of the spices are tasteful without being overpowering. Temperature is great as well, though it depends on the person making it. They have options for to go or in store. They also give you a beeper to hold and it'll beep when it's time to pickup. I had to dock a star because they have given me regular milk twice already instead of oat milk when I was charged the extra 80 cents for it. I have allergies so I end up throwing the drink away. May need to double check with them again to confirm its oat milk at the end of the process. read more

We stopped by this gorgeous cafe this weekend and it was such a great experience! Seating is first come first serve and they have a section for large groups 7 or more but not sure if you need to reserve that area. The ambiance is obviously gorgeous but the food and teas are amazing! We did a medium pot of chai for 3 people but it could have fed 4-5 and the pistachio cheesecake, both were delicious! I was also surprised how warm it stayed since we sat for quite a while! Though they get busy the service is pretty good and they seem to get everything out in a timely manner. This was my third time. The World Cup was playing and the place was packed, no seats. I took my elderly mother with me since she loves pistachios. I approached the register and was not acknowledged or even looked at by staff. After waiting for probably few minutes, I was thinking of leaving, when finally staff asked impatiently for my order, with obvious annoyance. I felt unwelcomed to be there. I ordered the pistachio cheesecake for mom and staff picked the smallest slice and handed it over to me. The slice was not cheap. I asked where I could sit my mother who is elderly and I got no acknowledgment. I absolutely love the downtown location but when I saw they were planning on opening an Elk Grove location I was even happier as it is closer to me. I did go to their soft opening around 10pm and despite it being busy. We were greeted and had our order taken right away (when we were ready to order) despite it being so busy which was very nice. Although there were a lot of people in the cafe there was still enough seating for me and my sister to wait for our items which I really appreciated. The inside looks gorgeous and definitely a place I would recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy a drink/meal. Now on to what I drank and ate. Starting off with drinks I purchased a pistachio latter for me and a peppermint mocha for my sister (both hot drinks) and they tasted amazing right away. The pistachio latte tastes a little bit sweet but not overly and was very smooth so I would definitely recommend it if you like pistachio. For food I purchased baklavas and pistachio milk cake. The baklavas were delicious and a perfect treat for someone with a sweeter tooth. The pistachio milk cake was also delicious. If I could compare it to something I would compare it with tres leches but pistachio flavor and not overly sweet. Which I really enjoyed! This was my first time visiting and this placed has been super hyped on IG so I was excited to try it. It was 9pm on Friday and it was absolutely packed inside and it never died down the entire time we were there. Thankfully there was a table we were able to grab right away. My friend tried their coffee cake which looked like tiramisu. I tried their rose milk cake and the Yemeni tea. I have to say the inside is soooo pretty. I love all the decor and the music. The staff were friendly and helpful with my questions. Unfortunately both cakes were disappointing despite looking good. My rose cake was similar to tres leches but it was very watery from all the milk so the cake was pretty soggy and although there was dried rose petals on top, it tasted of zero rose flavor. My friend's coffee cake was obviously previously frozen because the she said the inside was still frozen/icey and the bottom layer had a freezer taste. It then started to defrost and get watery/mushy... I hope their desserts improve on texture and quality. My Yemeni tea tasted like regular bagged herbal tea and not like cardamon or cloves... I question if they even gave me the correct tea now. It def wasn't worth 5.49! Sigh... I'll give them another chance later because I really want this to be my new go to. read more

It did fill up within an hour of me getting there, but people were able to find seating. I went with a friend, and we both ordered the Biscoff latte, which I highly recommend. The good: it's nice to have a new place for coffee. It's great to try new things with different flavors. And they have an amazing assortment of things to try! It seems to always be busy and clean. Having said all this, I'm a creature of habit and I like what I like. I like a white mocha on a Sunday morning. And I've ordered more than a few from this place. This last time though I wanted it without foam (or art) because it's too syrupee for me. I got my coffee and sure enough there was foam. Very disappointing. The syrupee taste lingered throughout the mocha and turned me off. Maybe listen to your customer. It was my first time trying Yemeni coffee and I wasn't sure what to get, but when I asked the cashier for a recommendation, the first thing she told me was the biscoff latte...which was not what I was looking for because I was hoping to hear more about their specialties. I ended up choosing the Yemeni Latte which was okay. I also got the Dubai chocolate cheesecake which I didn't feel was worth $9/slice. It doesn't have much pistachio/chocolate taste, the plain cheesecake part was overpowering any flavors. I still will go back to try other coffee drinks, but I just wasn't very impressed with my first visit. read more
