Me and a group of friends came here after mimosas at a different location we had Margaritas we did not eat any food so I can't fully review the place with the margaritas were good & the service was good. I do like the view of the beach from the location and would give it another chance if I went there first and not after somewhere else.

Sand on the Beach has been better each time we go. Three of us went on a Friday evening to go for some seafood. When we arrived, the bartender greeted us and let us know that we would be seated shortly. A lovely woman walked over asked if we preferred upstairs or downstairs. We said downstairs, and she sat us. We ordered the calamari with jalapeño and it was very tasty and perfectly cooked. We then ordered shrimp quesadilla's which were the best I've had. They had great flavor and came with pico de gallo and sour cream. Great dish and overall, excellent experience while having a beautiful beach view.

Traveling south on A1A we stopped in for a beverage and the view. Little did we know, being a patron there's access to enjoy the beach as well. The bartenders were very nice and the beverages were tasty.

Best view on the beach! They open early so you can enjoy some breakfast while watching the morning waves There's two stories with two bars and plenty of seating for sunny or shady seaside gatherings We like biscuits and rosemary sausage gravy And the big kahuna They make a good mojito and have a good beer selection Free Parking lot is a plus Service is always friendly and attentive My HAPPY PLACE on Melbourne beach Highly recommend

I come here often for brunch, lunch and dinner. Great location with amazing views of the beach. A place where locals and visitors come. When you enter you will find a bar and plenty of seating overlooking the beach. If its too warm out you can head upstairs where you can dine inside in the air-conditioned dining room. There is also outside seating. They have great raw oysters. Love the fish and chips. Love the lobster reuben Very good attentive service.

We were seated and our order was taken, but only half of our party's order was recorded before the server walked away without asking the others. We had to call her back to take the rest of the orders. Another server then spilled sauce on the floor and table, which splattered into someone's eyes and all over our clothes. Our main server didn't even ask if we were okay and seemed unconcerned about the situation. Service was very slow overall, and we repeatedly had to wave down the server for assistance. The food, however, was good.

Honestly, I was surprised this place only has a 3.0 rating. The food was great, the view was awesome, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Definitely an awesome spot.

The ambiance is perfection! Who wouldn't want to eat here with this view. Our server was friendly enough. I was disappointed in the plating of the tacos - downfalls of having a chef in the family. Tacos were tasty. The Parmesan fries were plain - garlic butter would have been awesome. The tuna medallions were very tasty but the grits were just plain. The oysters could have been shucked better. Not in pieces- whole oysters please!

We arrive on time for our reservation. We are greeted, if that's what you want to call it, by a tall older man. I swear he looked at us like, can you really afford to eat here? So the initial interaction was rather poor. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, so maybe he just had a bad day. Yeah, apparently not. The place is very pretty and certainly airs of a higher end establishment. After Mr. Snooty took us to our table, we were greeted by, ready for this, and even more snooty lady. Think Mrs. Howell. It's kind of like going on a date with a psychiatrist, knowing that they are judging every word that's coming out of your mouth. Lol. So after getting a lay of the land from her, we ordered some drinks, which were fantastic. Then the first course came and it was fabulous. We had the escargot and the oysters Rockefeller. Yum. The Escargot was buttery and soft. The oysters were well seasoned and perfectly cooked. We tried a lobster bisque and it was so so good. The touch of sherry was perfect. As for the Caesar's salad, this was the star of the evening. It was one of the best I've had and is what a Caesar salad should taste like. I am seriously considering going back there just for that salad. For dinner my wife had a lobster tail. She reports it was excellent. The snooty lady wanted me to try some special they had, but I went for the lamb chops. Again, perfect, medium rare. Winner. Snooty lady went uber obnoxious snooty after I didn't pick her choice. I was scared for the rest of the night. Overall price to food value, negative 100 billion. Food was fantastic. $250 for the portion sizes not worth it. Then again, even if they were bigger, not worth the price. Like I said, go for the salad and pass on the rest. Make you car payment and go to a more reasonably priced place that won't treat you like you need to have a credit report or occupation that they might approve of. Oh and they had some nice live music. That was good. Too bad, the staff put a damper on the birthday dinner.

The entire experience was substandard with one exception; the cocktails were superb. But that's…read morewhere it ended. First, our server Michael was the least skilled of any I have been in contact with over my 69 years. He showed no interest in us, had no personality, acted indifferent, and was borderline rude. He constantly reached in front of me without the courtesy of "excuse me". He didn't bother to come back to the table after serving our entree and inquire how the food was. For that matter, we never saw a manager the 2.5 hours we were there. Second, while the appetizers came in a reasonable time, the entrees took over 45 minutes to arrive. Michael apologized once and said they were plating our dishes only to return 15 minutes later. This was likely not his fault but D'Jon's had an opportunity to make it right with us but did nothing. I had had to tell Michael a second time that "this wait wasn't working for me". Third, I don't mind paying a premium price when receiving value. That is not available at this establishment. The portion size of the Tomato Salad was laughable. As was our search to find the Salmon in the seafood pasta evening special. Typically we give a business a second chance knowing that everyone has a bad day. With everything that went wrong, we will not return. The service, the food, and the wait were a complete let-down.

As soon as we were seated, we were greeted by Brandon, who was incredibly friendly and had a great sense of humor. We also ordered the Meg Threesome appetizer, which was flavorful and perfect for sharing with the table. The Kilkenny sandwich was absolutely amazing. If you've been missing a classic New York corned beef sandwich, this is definitely the place to satisfy that craving. I also loved the Irish Cuban sandwich--it was juicy, packed with flavor, and a fun twist on a classic. The mac and cheese was rich, creamy, and incredibly cheesy. The chicken pot pie was generously sized and full of flavor. And of course, you can't beat the 18¢ cup of bean soup--such a fun tradition and a great addition to the meal.
