So they knew they were going to cancel beforehand and they didn't have the courtesy to let me know until the last minute. Instead they shared my contact information without my consent. Disorganized, shady, unprofessional, not reliable. I hope they do better to the next person.

But as for the cleaning I got 2 people for 2 hours at $60 per person for per hour. So I paid $240 total with a $25 tip. When the cleaners left I was confused on what they cleaned. The floors(only the living room and kitchen) were mopped and the outside of the cabinets were wiped, but that's about it. They didn't mop or vacuum the stairs or anything on the second level. Appliances were not touched. I honestly don't know what these 2 people did for 2 hours. I messaged the owner and she offered to have them come back to clean the fridge, but unfortunately I don't really trust their services anymore so I'd rather count my losses and do it myself or hire someone else. Long story short, I paid $265 for someone to mop one living room, and wipe the outside of some cabinets. Very disappointed and I feel robbed. UPDATE: The owner reached out and offered to send more cleaners. We eventually settled and they gave me a 50% refund which I appreciate. Seems like it must've been a fluke and the business owner wanted to make it right.

I have a 1,044-square-foot apartment with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The two cleaning ladies did an excellent job restoring both bathrooms and cleaning the refrigerator. They made them look almost brand new, and I was genuinely impressed with their work in those areas. The reason I'm giving three stars is that I originally booked three hours of deep cleaning, but the job ended up taking a total of six hours. Since the service time doubled, I expected the entire apartment to be thoroughly and professionally cleaned. Unfortunately, some areas were missed, including the insides and lower exterior surfaces of the kitchen cabinets, the kitchen and living room walls and baseboards, and the front entry door. In addition, after walking around the apartment in clean socks, my socks turned black, suggesting that the floors were not mopped thoroughly. As a result, my husband and I spent another two hours cleaning the kitchen and living room ourselves. I contacted the manager and requested a refund equivalent to one hour of service. He agreed to refund 30 minutes, explaining that the bathrooms were exceptionally dirty and required much more time than expected. While I understand that the bathrooms took extra effort, I still believe that spending six hours cleaning a completely empty 1,044-square-foot apartment should have resulted in a more complete and professional deep cleaning. Overall, the team did outstanding work on the bathrooms, but the quality of the cleaning in the rest of the apartment did not meet my expectations.

The cleaning crew arrived at 9:00 a.m., and by 1:00 p.m. they informed me that only about 50% of the home had been completed and that they needed an additional $600 to finish the job. What made the situation even more frustrating was that I was effectively left with no choice. At that point, half of the house had already been cleaned, leaving me to either pay the additional $600 or have the company walk away with the job unfinished. As the owner of a property management company, I found this business practice extremely concerning and unprofessional. If the scope of work was underestimated, that should have been identified before the work began, not after the customer is already committed. In my opinion, this pricing approach feels misleading and unethical. I would strongly encourage others to get all pricing and expectations in writing before hiring this company.

It felt as though they were looking for a way out. At the first head, I contacted the agency addressing the situation quickly and they acted like they understood my side. As soon as things officially ended, whatever the family said to them, made me appear like I had done the worst thing imaginable. I have glowing references, have never had an issue with a family before or since, but Ashley did not help me with finding a new position, nor gave me the opportunity to talk about the situation again. I felt powerless and especially having had uprooted my whole life for this family, did not expect to experience an agency that did not support the nanny on top of that. I should have gotten 2 weeks pay because there was no reason for the treatment I received. It has been a year and I have since tried to reach out for potential families, applying, but I either get no response or, just like last week, an almost immediate email saying "The family has gone with another candidate," only to see the post on the website and up on their emails and social media, still very much active and seeking. It's disappointing to write this, as I had hoped the agency would have handled the situation with more integrity, ensuring I was heard, understanding the full picture, and helping me secure another placement. Nannies deserve protection. If a family can no longer afford services, that's understandable, but the way this unfolded left me in an incredibly disempowering position. If anyone is seeking an extremely qualified nanny with 15+ years' experience, newborns to 16-year-olds, private jet, UHNW, and fully staffed home, homeschooling, neurodivergent, behavior therapy and more experience, feel free to reach out! She came over with 2 enthusiastic and hard working staffers and they got to work right away. Very diligent and organized and they made enormous progress. By the mid-day, the garage was completely cleared out. I thought it would take 2 or 3 days at least as I had a ton of crap. They diligently removed everything, sorted it out and categorized what could be tossed, or recycled or donated or would stay. And they diligently carried away several cars worth of donations at the end. The items I kept were put in nice transparent cases with clear labels, and there was a lot of room to move my storage in. SIMPLY THE BEST - honestly look no further, there is no one better in LA (probably the US). I have worked with over 10 recruiters all around the world, and I've NEVER had such great service. We moved to LA recently and after a disaster with a daycare who ended up not taking our son (despite paying the registration fee) because they didn't get additional insurance, a friend recommended Sandra Taylor Agency. I honestly didn't know what to expect and didn't even look them up, I just rang them in a panic thinking we needed help, any help. Wendy who answered the phone was AMAZING. She patiently listened to my crazed ranting and panics and calmly assured me that she was on it and would look for nannies that fit our household. I didn't have much of a choice, but just to hope and pray. Had I known how good Wendy was at her job, I definitely didn't need to panic. Within something like 8hrs, she had two INCREDIBLE candidates. Not only were they absolutely a fit for our house, they were on budget, within the specific brief we set. In 8hrs we had interviews lined up and everything. The nannies she sent were beyond. Not to name drop, but these weren't your every day nannies. Both of them worked for A-list celebrities, with over 10yrs experience and were perfect for our son. I don't think you could have found these nannies anywhere else, which is why their service is so great. I spent months trying Care.com and UrbanSitter and I just wouldn't have found these wonderful nannies without Sandra Taylor. BUT to add to that, she asked if we needed additional help and I jokingly said I'd love a cleaner but I don't think we can afford one, but Wendy came through and found us a cleaner that worked within our budget - who also is amazing. I cannot honestly recommended these guys more - and especially Wendy. She deserves a raise. If you go to Sandra, speak to Wendy, she is seriously AMAZING at her job. You won't regret it. I strongly recommend the Sandra Taylor Agency, in large part because of Wendy. I've worked with a few agencies in the placement of household staff and recognize my requirements for performance, experience, demeanor and capability may be higher than the typical employer. It has been difficult for me to find the needed staff, and in the past year I've hired three people through Sandra Taylor. Wendy takes copious notes and understands my specific requirements with fluency and clarity. In working with Wendy, I've never felt anything but empathy and commitment to find the right fit- someone I'm thrilled with- I've never been pressured to settle. She has a cheery and optimistic attitude, which helps with the stress these searches may bring. In two instances, the first person I hired ended up not being the right fit for my family, having nothing to do with the agency, and Wendy worked as hard as she did the first time (or maybe harder!) to find replacement candidates. The replacement candidates presented were as strong as the initial candidates, which I will say is a different experience to what I've had with another well known Los Angeles agency that had much higher placement fees and presented me with replacement candidates much weaker than the initial candidate hired. I didn't feel like I wasted time interviewing or trialing candidates because Wendy comprehensively screened anyone presented. When there were more complex issues to discuss with candidates, Wendy was happy to talk through those issues on my behalf. I'll also note that I've been presented with both more candidates and at a greater speed of presentation than other agencies, so it was efficient for me to focus my time in working with Wendy. read more

I am an Estate Manager who has worked in high profile communities in New York, Connecticut, Florida and California. I was reluctant to work via agency but heard great things about the Sandra Taylor Agency. I decided to take a day, mind you I did not call to make an appointment, to spot by and drop my resume. When I entered the office I was greeted warmly by the staff. I felt more at ease immediately. I was so impressed by how professional the staff handled themselves. Above all, I was incredible impressed with how involved they are with the thoughts of their candidates. The counselor was so keen to ask me about what my "ideal position" would be like. You have to take into consideration that most agency do not see applicants as people, more so as dollar signs. This agency was like a fresh of breath air. I've known this agency for years since I've been a professional nanny and baby nurse. It never had occurred to me to write a review on this business since it's an institution in Beverly Hills since the 60s, thus I really don't think they need my comments. However, I just realized that people like me should take the time to write a review when it's the right thing to do. So, here it is: Not only have I been placed several times on baby nurse assignments with wonderful families by this agency, but it has always been a pleasure to be represented with the care and professionalism of these counselors, who are always looking out for the perfect match. I have only good things to say about this business, and so do all my friends who have found great jobs throughout the years. The staff members at this nanny agency are super nice and helpful! I have kids, and I found my nanny through them. I do not feel confident in the mindset of the individual who runs the company to represent who I am to potential families. Before my meeting with a family I was asked to lie about the length of time I had worked with Nannies in LA. I was asked to say I had been working with Nannies in LA for 6months although I had only exchanged few emails with them. Before someone is allowed to work with a family he/she is asked to sign 26 pages of contracts. I did not sign all the paperwork because I found it unnecessary. I did not sign "Consent and Release for Release of Name, Photo, Image, Written Statement... etc.," because they are asking for full rights to your name, photo, etc., to do as they want. Please remember that these contracts can be negotiated. There are lines that can be scratched out if the contract does not fit his/her needs. After meeting the family, being hired, doing a background check, and signing the paper work the family decided they did not want to work with this agency and or me three days before the start date.
