Our motorcycle club meets in Alabama every other year for our national rally. We have been here twice now and it is amazing. First of all the help is always delightful and helpful. Usually about 50 or so bikers show up and they have plenty of room to accommodate this frisky crowd. One thing about bikers we top well so they enjoy taking care of us. Wish we lived closer we would come more often. The choices of food make it hard to decide. So we just try something new each time. read more

Kind of a knock.off of other Steak House Chains (Texas Roadhouse pops into mind) just not as well kept or quality. Place itself comes off as rundown and staff (except our waitress, who was very nice) seemed disinterested and not very happy. Food was in the middle, ordered the barbeque feast and it was edible but nothing really stood out other than the chicken (pretty good), the rest was okay. I don't normally leave bad reviews because I know generally everyone is trying their best. But we stopped here hungry after driving all day, and we were told there would be a 30 minute wait. We're fine to wait for good food. However, people kept pouring in while we waited next to a window where an entire patio room of empty tables was visible. My husband asked if we could possibly sit there, but we were rudely told by the hostess that she was about to seat a party of 12 there. But those 6-7 tables could've easily accommodated at least 30 people. We waited for about 20 minutes while NO other parties were called and the patio room remained empty. We eventually just left. We visited on Sunday so I don't think they were serving drinks. They don't open until 11am. Service was pretty good. We had a party of 12 and had two servers that took care of us. Food was very good. Prices are fair and not too expensive. We had a good variety of food all of which was very good. Something for everyone and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. We have been in the past with similar experiences. I would recommend this place over all the chain places. We will be back. They offer the peanuts and allow the kids to throw the shells on the floor which they love to do...big kids too. Burgers and steaks are very good. Some of the Mexican dishes are very good as well. The waitress was very attentive and personable and kept our drinks full. My steak was beautiful. I ordered the filet, rare, with rice and something else I can't remember. I just had what may be the best steak I've ever had. Or at least, I had half of it. I'm staying in town for a few days, and I'm going to have the leftovers tomorrow night and I may go there again the next night. I had the ribeye with garlic butter, side salad, and green beans. The beans were good, a little zing with onions and bacon. The side salad had plenty of eggs on it - something you don't usually see and it's appreciated because I have to leave off croutons and such (keto diet). I wish I could give less stars. My daughter was working there on a stormy night. She was 24 years old. A flash flood warning went out. They didn't close and she lost her life when the water breached the banks on her way out her car was swept down stream and she was killed. She died for greed. They knew the warming was out. She wasn't the first to die in that water over the years. I called tonight on a stormy night and spoke to manager Adam. Who confirmed he knew of the warming and was not closing early. I told him that I was her mother and asked him had her death not taught them anything. He replied I'm sorry for your loss and hung up on me. She died for this company's greed. It was really nice here. We were traveling back from Tennessee and we were starving so we looked on yelp to find something to eat before our 6 hour journey back to Mississippi. I seen the pictures on here and it looked really good. We took a chance and stopped to eat here and let me tell you I'm glad we did. We did have to wait about 25-30 minutes but it was worth it the staff was really nice and the food was really good. We ordered a lot of different things they all came out hot and just how we wanted. Our waitress was very attentive but not too attentive she even brought us our refills of drinks right before they were half empty. All around very good place to eat. We had supper here and ate outside due to COVID and there was no wait to eat outside. The service was excellent and they were very accommodating with fans and mosquito candles. We had the queso and chips for an appetizer and it was really good. Then we split a plate with steak and grilled shrimp. They were good. The yeast rolls melted in your mouth and we ate two each. The side salad and sweet potato was also great. We got the maple cheesecake to go. It was good but had a strong maple flavor so if you aren't a big fan of maple, pick something else. My wife and I have been visiting this restaurant less and less, we had hope things would change when over the past month or better it had gotten better with waiting and seeing management working the restaurants, bussing, keeping the wait staff on the customers needs until our return last night empty tables, wait staff standing around. A few weeks ago we had an issue with our food and a lovely woman came over to handle the issue the shock for my wife and I is this lady had been the one to seat us, bus's the area around us, bring out food to another table during our wait for ours, to us you could visually see she is some type of leader by her appeal. however, When we asked to speak to that manager, the training manager, or I believe she said she was at this restairs to to gain more experience through or with the help of this restaurant we learn from our waitress she no longer works with the company. This upset myself and my wife. We asked to speak to another manager and got no response from anyone the little girl up front got us our togo box and other than dropping off our receipt no service; cash left on the table we never do that and out the door we go left with the questions and unsure that our drive is worth the wait on an empty restaurant that is sending a clear message that the customer isn't important. read more

I'm a lover of the Roadhouse-style restaurants (Cody's, Texas Roadhouse, Logan's, etc), so I'm therefore a lover of Santa Fe Cattle Company. The nearest one to me is in Clermont, but I have yet to visit that one; if I ever do, I'll let you know how it was. But the one I always go to is in Fort Payne, Alabama, when I am on my yearly to twice-yearly road trips up there. I always stay at the Holiday Inn Express in that town (see my review for that one). Right across the street is Santa Fe, so I eat dinner there once per trip. I love their steaks, their yeast rolls, and I quite like their mixed drinks. This is one of those "peanuts on the floor" establishments, so eat up on the peanuts, but don't eat too much, because the rolls are so good, you'll most likely fill up on them before you get your meal. The burgers are perfect there! They also have numerous salads and chicken dishes and fajitas, but I'm a steak lover, so I usually get the ribeye. The seasonings on the steaks are perfect, and they have always been cooked exactly how I want them. Santa Fe has a number of signature drinks--mostly their own spin on the old standbys like margaritas and Long Island Iced Teas--but they are still pretty good. I've always has great service there, particularly the last visit for me, which was just a couple of weeks ago in the late evening. I don't exactly remember the server's name--I think it was Kayla but I could be wrong--but she was a sweetheart, very personable and cheerful. My food and drinks were brought to me in a timely manner, and the prices are about the same as any other roadhouse-type restaurant. So I recommend the Ft. Payne Santa Fe Cattle Company.
