    Nacho Fries w/Al Pastor
    LaDonna A.

First time trying their nacho fries w/al pastor. I ordered via DoorDash. Meat had good flavor. They use thin fries, which I enjoy. I added extra meat. (I always do for my nachos.) My only issues are really around the bottled Coke. 1) charge $4+ for the smaller bottle (not the 1/2 liter) which is A LOT & 2) They do not keep them very cold, so when they get to you they're room temperature at best.

A classic if you're in the area. Santa Fe has always been good fast food and service. I've only ever come in the evening and have never had a wait. Good for both meat lovers and vegetarians alike this place is worth giving a try.

I didn't realize Santa Fe Taqueria had a second location! Had a craving for their carne asada fries and saw they were available for DoorDash pickup. Tastes just the same as the original location on Alum Rock. Craving was definitely satisfied. Don't forget to ask for the aguacate and pico de gallo sauces on the side!

It's been so long since I've been here and I forget how good the food is. $13 for some carne asada fries. $5 agua frescas. It's good. Made to order. Don't come if you are in a rush because it does take about 10-15 minutes for your food. They load you up here! Lots of meat!

    Sopes plate

I live in the east side but rarely eat at a taqueria because they are usually underwhelming. This one was recommended by a friend who lives in LA area. I ordered the sopes plate which is a ton of food for $12. Sopes are made out of the same masa as tortillas but into a thick disc that is fried and topped with food. It is messy and amazing. You get to choose the meat for the sopes so I ordered one of cabeza (head meat) and one chicken without cheese. They are large and have lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream & guac and SO delicious! The plate also comes with refried beans and rice. My husband ordered their super burrito but it only had the meat, rice & beans. It desperately needs some pico de gallo and guac so we will be requesting that the next time. Call it in advance for quick service and don't forget to try their Pepino Limón (Cucumber lime) agua fresca which is super refreshing & light! Great service, authentic food, good portions & delicious!

    Chimichanga de asada

My partner's coworker recommended this place. Said it was better than our beloved SJ staple: you know, starts with a La and ends with a Vics. The chimichanga at Santa Fe Taqueria was a changa in my chimi for sure..okay that sounds bad. Seriously, guys, the service was quick and the ingredients were fresh. However, I was sadly disappointed that it fell a part whenever I took a bite, leaving me to fork up everything separately. Definitely got my arm work out (lord knows I need it). The red salsa is spicy, the green one not so much. I'll try the other location, but for now I'll stick to what I love.

    Fries and nachos

Great service, but food could have been better. The asada fries were amazing but the nachos not so much, but it looked amazing. I've never seen nachos and fries look so good before. I usually get shredded chicken for nachos, but they probably misheard and got me grilled chicken which was drier than the Sahara desert. Maybe if the nachos was asada meat then maybe I would have liked it more. Overall, I would come back to try the nachos and fries with a different meat.

    Steak fries

Hands down this place is the best Mexican food I've ever been to! Steak Fries: at iguana's, their steak fries usually have oil left over and it drenches the container. This place is nothing like that!! I love this place so much because I ordered to go and live about 20 minutes away. When I got home, the fries was still crispy and there were no oil! It tasted so good with so much meat and it was so flavorful! I wasn't sure if they allowed you to add avocados there, but I added it when I got home and it added to the flavor! I also added the green sauce and some lime. It brought out the flavor and was so goood. Super Carne Asada Burrito: I didn't eat the burrito, but my dad did. He likes this place more than Araujo's because there was more rice and Asians love their rice... Carne Asada tacos: I love how this place toasted their taco shells and it was so crispy! What I also liked was that they only placed the meat on the tacos. I was able to go to their condiments bar and add what I liked! Everything tasted so fresh and was so yummy!

    Chorizo Breakfast Burrito! So goood!
    Alece L.

Chorizo breakfast burrito was ordered through door dash and it was yummy! I would definitely order again! But I do wish they had better salsa.....

Been eyeing this spot for their carne asada fries and we ordered that and some tacos via Doordash. The fries were still crispy and not soggy at all, plenty of toppings. The carne asada was actually not tough, and the tacos were stacked with meat and they didn't add cilantro as requested! The al pastor was so so good, so much flavor! Chorizo was good too, but was too full to enjoy it from the taco and fries. Would be back again!

Plenty of parking available since the restaurant is in a strip mall. It wasn't too busy when we got there, but then it started picking up. There was only one server working and she was really hustling to meet everyone's needs. Plus, she was friendly. I had the carne asada burrito, it was good but nothing over the top that made it stand out. My friend had enchiladas with mole. We were most excited about dessert and decided to share the churros and Tres leches. It was a nice touch that the churros and Tres leches did not come plain, a little pizzazz since they were both served with berries, whipped cream, and a cajeta style sauce. Both of the desserts were so good and a perfect touch of sweetness.

The service is not the best and you have to try hard to catch the servers attention. The food was better this time, but not as good as many other Mexican restaurants. It is not what I consider authentic Mexican food.

We waited 1.5 hours to be seated while half the restaurant sat empty. After we were seated, it took about 30 minutes for anyone to ask if we wanted drinks, another 30 minutes before our order was taken, and then an hour for the food to arrive. Throughout the wait, several servers were gathered in the corner talking and laughing while tables--including ours--were left unattended. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the service. The meat was dry, lacked flavor, and the shrimp was so chewy that I couldn't finish it. It was honestly one of the worst shrimp dishes I've ever been served. I've seen countless influencers giving this place glowing reviews, and after eating here, I simply don't believe them. My experience was the complete opposite. If you appreciate good food and good service, I would strongly recommend spending your money somewhere else.

The staff were attentive, gave great menu recommendations, and constantly came by to refill our water. Very spacious dining room. We started with the Queso Fundido, served on a small hot plate with chilis, garlic, and oil on top. It's basically a block of cheese served with chips. Even with the hot plate, it didn't stay gooey for long, but it was a pretty good starter. The Coconut Campachano was creamy and refreshing.
