Today after church, I went there to eat lunch. A lady server came up to me and greeted me. I told her I didn't want the red salsa. I want the green salsa and she never came back. I waited for a half hour or more and then she never came back and I was about to leave. She never came back to take my order or ask what kind of drink I wanted so I was about to leave until the manager came. I told the manager I was about to leave. I was very upset. They didn't give me a discount or anything. I would recommend all customers not to go there again because they would ignore you or anything they leave you hanging with the dick or ignore you or anything they're very rude or this or something etc. I'm not gonna go there again. read more

I finally tried this restaurant the other day with a friend and was pleasantly surprised! The ambiance is decent and the waiters were kind. I tried a lunch special with two puffy tacos and they were yummy! I've never had puffy tacos before and don't normally like corn tortillas, but I enjoyed these. The beans and rice were good, nothing too crazy good but not gross. Woot! My favorite part were the sopapillas with a honey drizzle. So good!!!! I've never had sopapillas either but will definitely get them in the future!! I also enjoyed trying their fresh tortillas with a little butter. This is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant in a strip mall off NW Military. The staff was incredibly friendly and even held the door as I arrived. The food was very good. The chips and salsa were on par with other local restaurants. I also got the seafood enchiladas, which were a good price and pretty good. Apparently. This is supposed to be a Mexican restaurant that doesn't quite understand "Mexican" food. I want to preface this with the staff we're so sweet. No marks off there. Drinks. Solid marks. Food. Oh dear. This was like going to an amusement park and all the rollercoasters were broken. Or stuck at the bottom. Cause that's where the food was. I ordered a chimichanga, rice, refried beans, and tortillas that had been sitting around since Caesar was assassinated. They literally stood on their own. Pics. It happened. Listening to Van Halen in Spanish was interesting. The "chicken" chimichanga was slightly lacking in "chicken". As evidenced in my photo, you could have done ophthalmic surgery easier than finding said chicken. Not sure what the sauce was but it could have been recycled dog sick for all I know. Couldn't even stomach it. The refried beans were diabolical and tasted like Vaseline. The rice was cold and dry. Pretty sure you could crush up the chips and use them as grout for your colorful new backsplash. This then. Not the best effort for a TEXAS "Mexican" restaurant. TEXAS!!!! Sadface.jpeg. This place doesn't deserve a rating. We have been going there for about a year without issues. The last two times we went the food was mediocre the service, well there isn't much of that. The last time did it for us. Our food came out cool. The plate was very hot but not the food. We told our waiter about it. We advised him to let management know before it happened to another customer. He told the manager or he said he did. Manager didn't come out to even apologize. There were only two other tables occupied at the time. I was not expecting compensation. We just wanted to make them aware so that it would be corrected. We will not be back due to lack of management not caring enough to come out and apologize, at least to acknowledge the issue. read more

Family Friendly place to hang out enjoy a nice casual dinner or a good hearty breakfast!!! Went there for the first time with some friends and had dinner!! Chips and queso was pretty ok. Salsa was amazing!! I shared the combo plate with Carne Guisada!! I think I cleaned the plate with the flour tortillas I had left. Beef fajita quesadilla was amazing!! Slapped some guacamole on it and oh my!! I had to go back the next morning! And try the menudo!! Flavor of it needed just a little more umf!! A little more temperature hot would have made it also!! This place offers great food at good prices! It's a wonderful place for a family get together, gathering of friends or just to enjoy a great meal. The service is very good and the staff are super friendly. We have been here quite a few times and tried different dinner options as well as breakfast and have never been disappointed. But I have to say, the best thing on their menu is the caldo, specifically the chicken caldo. It is hands down, the best in town! And the tortillas are homemade so how can you do better than that! In at almost 1 pm for a late lunch. Nice they have a lunch menu with reduced prices. I ordered the lunch fajita plate. Seated immediately, drink and entree orders taken quickly. Nice and colorful inside with a good view out the large window. Metal utensils, paper napkins, and real plates. Latin music playing at a nice volume I'm the background. My food arrived quickly. Fajita meat was very tender and cut into small enough pieces to make two good tacos. Good portion size for lunch. I would recommend and come here again! read more

The staff was exceptionally nice, and the food was great. I got their traditional margarita on the rocks, and it was very good and only cost $5! The taco salad that I ordered was delicious. I have been going to Saritas for several years. The food is great, especially the refried beans. Our most recent visit was less than stellar. The beans didn't taste the same, neither did the sauce that they serve with their chips. And the last thing is that they now charge extra on your final ticket if you pay with a card. I am a fan. My family has been coming here for years. Witnessed the change in the establishment. That worked out. Yoho's combo is my go to dinner. Quesadillas are good. The tea is actually my favorite. Food is always good. They are very consistent. Their prices have gone up but so has everything else. They could fix the tv on the north wall it hasn't worked in years. The only negative I have is they have added a piano player. Who plays at a volume that is unnecessary. If your 60 and up he may be your favorite. You can also catch him at craftiques across the street. I believe it's only Friday nights. read more

The food was okay, but the service was horrible! I asked if I can get an add on of gravy to my burrito and the waitress took forever to get it back to me. When she presented the bill to me she was charging me for 8oz of chilly. I politely informed her that I didn't mind paying for my meal but I felt that I didn't not get 8oz of gravy. She immediately gave me attitude and asked if I wanted to speak to her manager. I said yes and she marched to the area where the manager was at. She went to her manager and made a rude comment to her in Spanish about me not wanting to pay for my meal but I ate the burrito. The manager approached me with a bad attitude and asked what do you want me to do. I explained to her that I did not have an issue paying for my meal but I thought $5.19 was a bit excessive for adding the gravy. She asked what I wanted to pay and the took my receipt and marched off. She came back and was rude about the entire conflict when she handed my receipt back to me. I got up to pay and the waitress seemed like she was about to assault me and spoke very disrespectful to me and started telling me that I was arguing with a woman that I wasn't a a man. The the manager instructed her to not argue however, she continued the manager, then stepped out to call the police on me instead of trying to de-escalate her employee. read more

Everyone Monday you will find us here for their Fajita special. It's so good. And their tortillas, they are the best ever!!!! They also have a good Happy Hour! So we always try to hit that up too. They now charge $8 for chips & salsa & the last 3 times we have ordered from there the chips have been so stale they were barely consumable. They increased the price of the fajita special & cut the number of tortillas included. It's very disappointing to see such a wonderful place take a turn like this. We've lived within walking distance of this location for 3 years and have never been disappointed! From breakfast tacos to enchiladas and margaritas, great taste all around. The owner is super sweet and remembers the regulars (I guess we go a lot) and the first time we went for margaritas, we asked for the BIG glasses, expecting normal fishbowls, but the waiter came back with even BIGGER ones! In the city of San Antonio Tex-Mex restrauants are abundant. With so many Tex- Mex eateries it's hard to stand out. Sarita's is food but nothing spectacular. I had he chips and queso, cheese enchiladas, and beef tacos. The salsa is complimentary at Sarita's and is very good and fresh tasting. The food is just average. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive to there patrons at Sarita's. Again not a bad place for Tex-Mex but not any thing to write home about. read more

First time at this place. My grandpa comes here all the time so we decided to try it for my moms birthday. Went to the bathroom and there is a handwritten sign asking not to put the toilet paper down the toilet. I asked for a drink menu. On the drink menu it stated happy hour from 3pm to 7pm. I pointed to the menu where it said 3-7 and he said that was not their menu, it was for their sister restaurant? Even though it had their logo and everything. Oh my goodness worst food ever. Are cheese enchiladas were so disgusting you could tell they were old and reheated multiple times the manager had the nerve to say that's just how we make them ?!! With rock hard cheese and rubbery tortillas? I don't think so these were clearly reheated multiple times for this to Happen. And at first he was standing his grown that there was nothing wrong with them. It's cheese enchiladas! There's only so many ways to make them?!! I took 1 star because i ordered the steak and egg and it exactly took 21 mins which for me its too much time for 2 eggs and a steak. I was surprised it was so empty since the food was great! Had the beef fajita for two and it was more not only great, I had left over to go! I recommend Mondays for the Fajita special! The only thing I could say needs improvement is friendliness by the staff. They seem kinda stiff and for being sort of empty they are hard to find for ordering and paying.
