07 June 2025 We walked over for breakfast. We were seated in the back bar area; never sat there before. Ordered tacos: bacon and egg mixed, bean and egg and a 'special' taco (country sausage, eggs, beans and cheese). Also ordered the pork chop and eggs plate. The chops were large and cooked well. Took half home. The tortillas were soft and fresh. We were initially served by a manager-type as the server had a leaking sink at home that she had to attend to. Two managers ended up helping us in the interim. The server did return and did not seem disturbed at all. She was pleasant and appropriately attentive. Stopped in at around 4 PM on a Wednesday . I was craving chips and queso. The waitress dropped off the happy hour menu. Beef empanadas or street tacos for 6 dollars! I ordered both! Our family was celebrating our Niece's birthday and she picked Panchito's for her dinner. First time here and I was very impressed. I ordered a Panchito's Margarita which was smooth and delicious. And the bartender did not skimp on the Tequila. For dinner I had the Chicken Fiesta Plate which came with rice and Charro beans. Everything was delicious and the beans were outstanding. Just a horrible establishment to be honest with you. Margaritas taste like artificial syrup and are overcharged. Ask for a side of red sauce, and they charged me 450 for it, after trying to charge me nine dollars for it. Sauce is pretty awful, the only thing good about is the tortillas. And that's sad! I took my family out to Panchitos because I was very excited for them to try the food. No, don't get me wrong. The food was great. I had told the waitress that I would get everyone's food. We were a big group and everyone else would get the alcohol drinks when we got our tickets I paid for the ticket along with gratuity now my family who got the alcohol drinks. Their prices were outrageous not only that they added gratuity to their drinks when we asked to speak to the manager, he came, and I politely asked him if he could explain the tickets to us. The moment I walked in, I felt like I was stepping into a Fast & Furious family reunion hosted by Selena and officiated by a mariachi band. It was loud, colorful, and full of energy--the kind of place where your soul does a little two-step just from the aroma alone. Let's talk about the chips and salsa. I don't know what wizardry they're working with, but those chips were warm and just salty enough to make me rethink every bad relationship I ever had. The salsa? A perfect blend of "wow that's flavorful" and "okay now I need to sit down for a second." If this salsa were a character, it would be the Latinx version of Deadpool--charming, dangerous, and absolutely unforgettable. Then came the enchiladas verdes. Friends. My daughter and I dined here last night. It was packed full of people but the service was still really good. We ordered and our plates came out in 5 minutes! Wow! I ordered the Santos combo which consisted of 2 cheese enchiladas with gravy, refried beans, rice and choice of a side. I chose the Olmos taco that has beef fajita, beans, white cheese, and grilled onions. Everything on the plate tasted fantastic and the meat was tender. I checked in online on our way to the restaurant and were sat very shortly after we entered the building! We must have came at the perfect time because usually there is a longer wait. We were sat and greeted by our server promptly. Thomas was so on top of it and was even showing a trainee the ropes. We had our 2 girls with us (3yo & 8yo) and ordered for them first while we looked over the menu for ourselves. If you have kids you know how important it is to have them served first. Their food came so quickly and ours not long behind them. I had the taco salad, so simple but always delicious. No matter what meat I choose it's always well seasoned and flavorful. My husband had the Enchiladas Picadillo and I swear his plate was clean just about as soon as it was set down. The girls always get bean tacos which may seem easy to get right but these girls are picky about the kind of beans and tortillas and you really never know what the verdict will be with the. Hooray, we had no complaints! They were all smiles with full belly's. We are also thankful for the complimentary chips and salsa that help tame hunger and wild children! If you enjoy cocktails you can't miss with a house margarita or my favorite the Paloma. We have been here before and always enjoy it. I'm so pleased to report the food is delicious and the service is top notch. I typically eat breakfast here and this time we ordered dinner. The fajita pack - with rice beans etc - the fajitas were moist and tasty, the rice, as my friend said, was cooked to "perfection". The tortillas were hot and fluffy and the salsa was fresh with just the right amount of heat (ask for the green one if you like more heat). And the charro beans are the fantastic! DO NOT EAT HERE!!! We ate here a couple of weeks ago and they served us EXPIRED food. They gave my mom enchiladas with burnt/old meat sauce twice so she sent back her food. The Beef in my sister's tacos tasted rotten and the tortillas smelled RANCID- either bad flour or bad oil. Came in for lunch at noon on a Saturday and were seated quickly for a family of 5. Food comes out super quick! I haven't been to Panchitos in forever, but it's just as good as I remember. I love the salsa that comes with the chips for the table. More of a charred dark brown salsa that I love. The puffy tacos were soooo good! I could only finish one. I'd recommend to share the plate if you aren't super hungry because they are best to eat when freshly made. They will get soggy if you let them sit too long. Or maybe out the second taco over a napkin so it absorbs the moisture. Our waitress was very sweet and patient. Food was mehh nothing more than a regular taqueria restaurant . Ordered the shrimp fajita for two and boy was I disappointed. I was brought a plate of maybe 10 medium sized shrimps with a lot of onion and a big bowl of beans and rice. Probably more beans and rice than anything else. And to top it off it doesn't come with actual fajitas!! And the waiter has the nerve to make me feel stupid, like it comes like that everywhere and I must be from some other planet. Horrible experience I have not had this bad service in such a long time. Our server name was Diane and did a horrible job first off asked for a to go cup. She brought me a regular cup no big deal. I asked for lemons to eat with my chips I had to remind her three times to bring me the lemons per excuse was she needed to cut them? She finally brought them. We ordered a queso she brought the queso out, but she did not bring saucer plates to eat them on. I asked for two plates, but she only brought one as she was walking off I was going to ask her to bring me one more, but she walked off even though I was calling her. when she was walking by the table again, I called her over to us and asked for her name since she did not provide it at the beginning. I asked her for her name and told her that I tried calling her because I needed one more plate, her excuse was that she had five tables to take care of at this point I will certain her tip was going to be diminished. The food was brought out by the manager, and I could tell the food was sitting there for a while it was not fresh at all after that, Diana did not check on us at all she came when my plate was finished and asked to take it. She had been spending about three minutes, chatting with another table, and she suddenly came to take my plate and it was really really quick. I could tell she was aggravated with us. Then I asked for the check at this point I was still going to tip her because I am a very good tipper so she brings me the check and started talking with that other table that was in front of us with her back towards us, I was still going to tip her at this point I don't know why, but I felt like tipping her anyways she was at that table for over five minutes, neglecting other tables, and I was ready to pay at this point, I just wanted to leave and I decided to go to the manager that brought me the food to pay i'm not sure what his name is some guy with grey pepper hair. I go to him and I give him my card and I told him I was not going to tip her. He said something to the effect that he doesn't want to know why I am assuming as the manager, I would want to know why to correct the problem and provide better service for my guests, but he seem not to care. The wait time was understandable due to 3 large parties ahead of us (29,13, and 9) However, once seated our server was very rude and basically neglected the table. It took over 45 minutes to receive our food. It was so disappointing because we hadn't been here in a few months maybe a year but the service was just horrible. I don't know how many times we thought our food was finally coming and it would go to tables next to ours even tho we sat down before them. To make the matters worse when we finally got our food it was poorly done the enchiladas were hard, I couldn't even cut them with the butter knife provided. I ordered the lunch chicken flautes today. They were 11.49. What I got when I picked it up was 2 small flautas that were about the size of a spring roll rice and beans. I have never in 12 years of living in San Antoino gotten 2 rolles tacos on a lunch or dinner plate and I've never seen anything this small. I ordered 2 orders and they were both the same so 25.00 for the smallest appetizer serving. What a shame cause this place gets good reviews. They were tasty but no grown man is going to get full on 2 of these. I should have just gone to taco bell and got a lux box for 5.00 I'd have gotten a drink too and dessert. read more
