Had my husband birthday lunch during their grand opening. I thought to myself it's gonna be crazy and trying to accommodate a party of 20 plus people. So, we called ahead of time to confirm, and they said, " we will gladly accommodate you guys." Our table was ready upon arrival. Service was okay and needed some work. Food came out quickly. I ordered the com ga roti, which was supposed to come with fried rice, but I noticed it came with white. (My husband told me to just eat it and that we had a big party, lol). If you ever had Pho 999, they are the same owner. They also offered free vietnamese che thai (dessert), which was so refreshingly delicious on such a hot day. Overall, we had a great time and were glad we could make it out for their big day. Cons: The menu needs some work and is very unclear. I have been here several times. I especially love their vermicelli bowl. It's refreshing and not too flavorful. It comes with 2 chagoi so I didn't have to order it seperately. It is my favorite dish and keep coming back here for it. On a cold day I get chicken pho. I've had their pho through Ubereats and tried their bun Bun Bo Hue in person and both are delicious. Their pork chop is different, I was expecting a grilled one but it has a taste of bbq pork flavor pink coloring. Overall, great flavor if your in the area. We ordered seafood pho, the big beef rib pho, egg rolls and pork chops. The broth is good. I like my seafood pho for $14 which came in a huge bowl! I thought I could not finish it but I totally enjoyed it and so I finished it. The egg rolls were spot on, crunchy on the outside and rich in flavor inside. Took sister and wife to try for the first time I'm not very familiar with pho but I was craving a shrimp soup and possibly some appetizers to go along with it. This replaced the old and very crappy Chinese restaurant that was a very miserable experience in itself years back. The place is pretty clean well lit and has a TV showing sports. Great thing is it's never crowded. Our server wasn't very knowledgeable though; pretty much any question I asked he had to go to the kitchen and ask. For example I asked what's the difference between pho and a hot pot he did not know (and I still don't either.) Ordered the shrimp pho it was pretty good a huge size tasty thin noodles and the shrimp is not farm-raised for a change. Would prefer a shrimp broth but this was done in a beef broth so B+ for this. The appetizer egg rolls that I ordered with vegetable were crap; grossly overfried and tasted like a weird potato paste inside this was an easy F. Order one noodle dish that came with everything but the kitchen sink it was also not very good; a sticky yellow thin noodle, the sauce was delicious but the strange squid and fish balls were very bizarre and did not taste good and of course the horrible imitation crab sticks inside. The only thing that salvaged it was the vegetables and the sauce and the shrimp in it. This was a C- The Jasmine iced tea was good and they were kind enough to allow refills. Gave three stars and being a little generous but to try once but won't be back due to the lack of quality ingredients in the non soup dishes. I let two months go by since the last time I was in here. It's still as friendly as I remember it. I was offered water while I wait for my food to go. I love that they decorate for the holidays. When I was in here back in October they had a Halloween theme but they went all out on the Christmas theme. Beautiful tree near the register. (It had to be done) So much flavor with the limes and the jalapeños. I think if I order it again I'll ask for extra jalapeños. A little kick is good sometimes. I rate it a 3/5 The Vietnamese coffee doesn't come up to the top of the cup. Not sure why, because it's pricey for the amount. The flavor of the coffee is so good and I highly recommend it. If you don't come in here for food then make sure you get the coffee you'll be happy with the taste. My sister texted me and says it's okay. I suppose we came here on an off day. I think I'll drop my review to a 4 and not have it continue at a 5. I also saw different faces working here with the same sign outside now hiring. 3rd/4th time I've come and not the same people working. I'll be back to change my review next year. I will say it was delicious and tasted waaaay better than the previous times. I got the sliced beef with short ribs pho. My boyfriend got the beef bùn (his go to)and he said the meat tasted fresher and the fish sauce cleaner. I did a build your own pho, and got the chicken broth with chicken, mignon, and brisket, it was delicious! I loved everything! Great customer service, delicious food, and the modern decor. I was here last Friday night for dinner and our waiter was friendly and attentive. I appreciate being able to substitute my noodle preference without an added charge. Most of the places here in the valley charge extra or they do not have fresh rice noodles (banh pho tuoi) which is why I'm happy to get my pho in the 626 or OC area. I got the pho special and I absolutely love the quality of the meat and tendon cut. My bf got the shaken beef and he was very happy with their sauce/seasoning. The portions are TINY and so pricey. The menu is different with build your own bun and com dishes. However, the descriptions arent super clear and the staff was oddly not knowledgeable. The com ga roti is the only good dish here. The chicken is super crispy and flavorful. However, it was advertised with fried rice (odd ) but they served it with white rice. When I asked, 3 different staff were baffled and tried to upcharge me for fried rice. Finally, one person said i was right and brought out the rice. Truthfully i prefer the traditional tomato rice anyways. My Vietnamese dad who always wipes his bowl clean, left more than half of his food uneaten. The broth is terribly bland. Honestly it was just okay. Nothing really stood out and most of the dishes weren't super flavorful. I had the bun bo hue and it didn't impress me. The meatballs were probably the best part of it as the sliced beef was super tough. I tried a bit of the pho my family member got and it just tasted super bland. My brother got the pork chop rice plate and the flavor was good but the portion was quite small for the price. The banh xeo was probably my least favorite thing we got as it was soggy instead of crispy and really sweet for some reason. Service and cleanliness of the restaurant were probably the only good parts of the restaurant. All of the staff were really nice and attentive and the restaurant looks vibrant and inviting. I'm floating between 3 and 4 starts per the reasons below. The place is clean and the parking plentiful. It was easy to get a seat and the tables were clean. I think they even had real sriracha! I ordered the Number 1 which is filled with all the good things. It comes with your standard sprouts, basil, jalapenos, and like on a plate to put in. The food also comes out quickly as is pretty standard at Vietnamese restaurants. It's also pretty large for the price ($14). The eggrolls were $10 and came with 4. Solid crunch eggrolls. Nothing wrong with it. My only issue is the broth. I was missing the standard pho broth that you can taste through the noodles and meat. Don't get me wrong, it does taste like pho but when I drink the broth alone, I find myself searching for a lot more flavor. I'm looking forward to trying their bun and banh mi though so we'll definitely be back. As another review stated, it's a good alternative if you don't want to go below the 118 freeway. read more
