Very simple unassuming pleasant restaurant with open space good food great service and a large menu food selection. Reasonable price as well. If someone has a cold this place is perfect for a hot Pho. Delicious, light savory hot food. Parking is easy the place is large enough that you can have a conversation and not cramped.
Yum! I had a great time dining here with family, and even though we came closer to closing time, we were warmly welcomed and provided with wonderful service. The portions are pretty big and the broth had great flavor. I actually had the Shrimp and Beef Vermicelli Bowl which was super fresh and filling. The Shrimp Spring Rolls were not my favorite, but they were still good; I thought the peanut sauce was a little bitter for my taste. The real star of the show, however, were the Chicken Wings. Super crispy and juicy and they had a great sweet and spicy flavor that everyone loved. The decor was pretty minimalistic and overall, I enjoyed my food and time.
Don't let the exterior fool you -- with its fun lights, clean seats and pops of color, this pho shop in Porter Ranch is quite inviting and aesthetically pleasing on the inside. This restaurant has been here for two years, but we only recently noticed it and decided to venture in for lunch. We're glad we did! The menu features noodle soups, noodle bowls, rice dishes, hot pots, handheld appetizers like spring rolls and egg rolls, banh mi sandwiches, boba, smoothies and more. Great selection of veggie-friendly options for those who may appreciate it. We had the shrimp and pork spring rolls -- good, but very small portion of pork. We also had a couple of pho bowls. Mine came with short rib still on the bone, which I found to be a bit intimidating. Decent portions, several options to add spice, and overall delicious taste. Attentive and personable staff. Plenty of free parking available in the lot. Lastly, their website says they are closed on Tuesdays, but that seems to be outdated. They are open every day from 10am to 9pm.

Came here during a rainy day with the wife Wife got grilled pork spring roll for $6 (came with two) and create your own pho with beef broth, flat rice noodles and double brisket and flank (you get to choose 3 proteins). She really liked the broth flavor and tenderness of the meat. I got two Bahn mi sandwiches - one grilled pork and one grilled beef. Each was $9. Total after a small tip for takeout was about $44. Should cover two meals for each of us, so an acceptable amount. Next time we'll probably eat there though so the food is hotter and fresher. Might have sat too long as we ordered takeout, shopped at Amazon fresh and took our sweet time and then took the food home. Service was pleasant. Inside was bright, clean and had ample seating. Also had a tv showing sports. I also like the dessert options. If not for the rain, I'd have considered the taro smoothie $6.
Friendly staff with a clean and inviting atmosphere and can hold large groups. Pho was decent but did lack the depth of flavor I was hoping for. Good clean broth though. Meat was a bit too overcooked for me personally before getting to me. Banhmi was decent. Chicken lemon grass... but not much lemon grass. Chicken had relatively no seasoning of flavor and slightly overcooked. Baguette could use an upgrade. Overall not a bad spot to get your vietnamese food fix.
What an amazing find! Great friendly customer service. I was looking for Vietnamese servers, seems they're all in the kitchen cooking. OK by me, cuz the food was delicious and the customer service better than other Vietnamese places. Maybe a business strategy to be considered by others? The portions are generous. Enough to eat half at the restaurant and the other half for later. Loved that there is a long booth on both sides of the restaurant that can accommodate a large party. I plan on bringing more of my family here.
A local hidden gem in a Porter Ranch strip mall, serving high quality Pho in a very clean and updated environment complete with a tv if you want to know what's going on in the playoffs. Dine in and take out have both provided excellent experiences for my little girls and I. Their pho comes out almost immediately steaming with vibrant greens on top. Crispy cooked to order egg rolls. Thai tea with boba so delicious. The bbq beef and rice plate or the marinated chicken (a whole Cornish hen flattened and super yummy. Hard to go wrong! Also our favorite waitress is Soraya hands down so attentive even when they are crowded. The staff cares about your culinary experience.
Popped in for dinner before heading over to the movie theaters down the road and it was perfect. We got seated right away, service was prompt, food was fresh, they split the bill for us and we were on our way! Decor had a lot going on but the restaurant is spacious enough for it. I had the vermicelli with beef, shrimp, and egg roll... minus the noodles and double up on the greens... it was really good. The hint of lemon grass (which I believe was on the beef) was really delightful. Will likely return when in the area.
Food is good! My pho had a lot of meat, which I was surprised, a good surprise! Service was great and place looks nice, sharp and clean. Lots of tables and parking lot is big.
Savory Pho, is a small but elegantly appointed Vietnamese restaurant at Tampa and Rinaldi, in Northridge. I have eaten here several times and the food has never disappointed me. One of their signature dishes is the Beef Luc Lac, which is also called Shaking Beef. It is touted as a French fusion of sweet & savory cubed filet mignon, stir fried with onion, garlic, butter, & oyster sauce....Served with steamed rice & soy sauce. This time, I got to the restaurant and then ordered it to go. They asked for payment (and tip) immediately and the take out bag came out in less than 3 minutes. I was floored. Because I was still in the process of trying to check in on Yelp :) So I asked the server bluntly, whether it was an already prepared, microwave job. Never have I got a carry out so fast. She replied by saying that they just cooked it. That was not accurate. When I got home, it was clear that the dish was not stir fried, there was no char, no wok fragrance on the dish or the cubed beef pieces. Half of the meat pieces were tender, the other half chewy. It also lacked freshness, flavor and spice with lackluster taste and definitely was not as I had experienced it before. More of a kind of boiled and reheat affair. Disappointing, to say the least (see my pictures of this dish from before). Furthermore, I recently got back from a trip to Vietnam, where I had this entree, perfectly prepared, in all its composition and splendor. But this story does not end here. After learning of my dissatisfaction, Michael, the owner communicated with me to apologize, offering to prepare the dish one more time or fully refund my check. You do not see this level of immediate, caring customer service often, if any. Mistakes can happen. And, it is only fair to give a hard working establishment the chance. So i did. They prepared the dish again, at the level it should be, succulent, seared and enticing. Customer service during this encounter was, also high class. Thank you, Candace, for making me feel extremely comfortable. Also, high marks to Michael. Every restaurant should take note, in how this should be done. Thank you very much.... and see you soon.
Still our favorite place to diner in Porter Ranch because the Vietnamese food is nostalgic. The service is generally good but our favorite server is Carmen. She's friendly, quick, and always available as soon as we need anything. She must be very intuitive! I love the decor for lunar new year, but any time of year the restaurant is bright and clean. Now that we've tried more dishes, our current favorites are the Catfish soup, crispy pan fried noodle, and house special pho. The Catfish soup is sweet and sour with lots of fresh veggies. It's bright and comforting. The crispy pan fried noodle is a deep fried noodle that is super crunchy and is smothered in a sauce and topped with veggies and meat. It's very filling and we love it with the pickled chillies. The house special pho is a great way to have pho with a little bit of everything in a savory broth. I love it when I'm not feeling well or when the weather is cold or rainy.
A colleague had the hankering for pho, so we made our way down here for a quick lunch. We had a party of 14 and were seated quickly since the restaurant wasn't too full. The interior was brightly lit with LEDs all around, and American pop music from the aughts was playing. Although I would usually go for something like a bun thit nuong, I went for their pho dac biet to try their soup (the Savory House Special with Flat Rice noodles). Order was completed just as fast, which was surprising considering how large our group was and the variety of selections which included sides of chicken wings and spring rolls as well as iced coffee. The soup was delicious and included a decent amount of the beef steak, brisket, flank, tendon, tripe, and beef balls. I felt the flat rice noodles were slightly overdone and broke easily. With that said, it was a satisfying bowl of pho overall, and the waitstaff was on top of things.

This place was very welcoming our server Aimee was amazing she gave the best recommendations, the Vietnamese caffe which she made was amazing it was strong and sweet to my liking. The grilled pork sausage spring roll was really good I liked it with the fish sauce vinaigrette better. The beef loc lac was bomb!!! So flavorful and garlicky to perfection! Pho looked the part but was seriously lacking flavor. It was decent but not amazing. Broth was sodium heavy and lacked that unique deep broth. Definitely not a meal to write home about. Restaurant was empty and all one could hear were its employees sharing a loud conversation echoing throughout. Service was prompt yet the cuisine was sorely lacking. read more

The food here tastes so so to go. The pho was not very good. The Bun Bo Hue was good. The soup was very flavorful. The Banh Mi sandwich was tiny. It looked like a half portion. It tasted really dry. The spring rolls were tiny too. The rice wrap was soft but the inside tasted so so. The sauce it came with was not very good. It tasted like they put plum flavor in the sesame peanut sauce. Had my husband birthday lunch during their grand opening. I thought to myself it's gonna be crazy and trying to accommodate a party of 20 plus people. So, we called ahead of time to confirm, and they said, " we will gladly accommodate you guys." Our table was ready upon arrival. Service was okay and needed some work. Food came out quickly. I ordered the com ga roti, which was supposed to come with fried rice, but I noticed it came with white. (My husband told me to just eat it and that we had a big party, lol). If you ever had Pho 999, they are the same owner. They also offered free vietnamese che thai (dessert), which was so refreshingly delicious on such a hot day. Overall, we had a great time and were glad we could make it out for their big day. Cons: The menu needs some work and is very unclear. There was a lot of confusion with the bun (noodles) and the com (rice) dishes. Welcome to Porter Ranch. Finally, a vietnamese pho restaurant in the area. read more

This place is amazing! Place is always clean & great service! I feel like the area has noticed too because every time I come now there's more people! I get the Savory House Special Pho without the Tripe & Tendon & of course my favorite, Shaking Beef! So good! Everything we've tried has been good but those are my two favorites! Yay, a place to have Pho close to home. Very clean and modern. A bowl of Pho is a decent size. I also tried the fresh spring rolls and it was delicious with peanut dipping sauce. Staff is friendly and attentive. We didn't feel rushed at all. I can't wait to go back and try other dishes. I will definitely be back. read more

We ordered seafood pho, the big beef rib pho, egg rolls and pork chops. The broth is good. I like my seafood pho for $14 which came in a huge bowl! I thought I could not finish it but I totally enjoyed it and so I finished it. The egg rolls were spot on, crunchy on the outside and rich in flavor inside. If you check in on yelp you get a free can of soda too. The place is clean and the staff are friendly. The owner was there and I think he is the same one from Pho 999 I heard. The server was very attentive and made great recommendations. We tried their pork and shrimp wonton and it was a clear winner. the inside had a full sized shrimp and appropriately pork ratio and the wonton was incredibly light and crispy. It was not a harsh crunch at all. Easily one of the best wontons I've had. The pho was as expected but not outstanding. read more

I let two months go by since the last time I was in here. It's still as friendly as I remember it. I was offered water while I wait for my food to go. I love that they decorate for the holidays. When I was in here back in October they had a Halloween theme but they went all out on the Christmas theme. Beautiful tree near the register. The tree is glowing a light shining on the ceiling and it's so awesome!!! Food review: my S9 wasn't hot but lucky for me I heated it up with all the fixings they gave me in the microwave at home. (It had to be done) So much flavor with the limes and the jalapeños. I think if I order it again I'll ask for extra jalapeños. A little kick is good sometimes. I rate it a 3/5 The Vietnamese coffee doesn't come up to the top of the cup. Not sure why, because it's pricey for the amount. The flavor of the coffee is so good and I highly recommend it. If you don't come in here for food then make sure you get the coffee you'll be happy with the taste. My sister texted me and says it's okay. I suppose we came here on an off day. I think I'll drop my review to a 4 and not have it continue at a 5. I also saw different faces working here with the same sign outside now hiring. 3rd/4th time I've come and not the same people working. I'll be back to change my review next year. You definitely haven't lost me as a customer. I'll tell my coworkers about this place and mention all the good stuff. read more

Took sister and wife to try for the first time I'm not very familiar with pho but I was craving a shrimp soup and possibly some appetizers to go along with it. This replaced the old and very crappy Chinese restaurant that was a very miserable experience in itself years back. The place is pretty clean well lit and has a TV showing sports. Great thing is it's never crowded. Our server wasn't very knowledgeable though; pretty much any question I asked he had to go to the kitchen and ask. For example I asked what's the difference between pho and a hot pot he did not know (and I still don't either.) Ordered the shrimp pho it was pretty good a huge size tasty thin noodles and the shrimp is not farm-raised for a change. Would prefer a shrimp broth but this was done in a beef broth so B+ for this. The appetizer egg rolls that I ordered with vegetable were crap; grossly overfried and tasted like a weird potato paste inside this was an easy F. Order one noodle dish that came with everything but the kitchen sink it was also not very good; a sticky yellow thin noodle, the sauce was delicious but the strange squid and fish balls were very bizarre and did not taste good and of course the horrible imitation crab sticks inside. The only thing that salvaged it was the vegetables and the sauce and the shrimp in it. This was a C- The Jasmine iced tea was good and they were kind enough to allow refills. Gave three stars and being a little generous but to try once but won't be back due to the lack of quality ingredients in the non soup dishes. The steamed squid in the dishes was virtually unchewable and tough as a rug very bizarre. It's best you stick to the soups/pho. read more

This place is SO GOOD oh my. Literally everything was flavorful, hot (even for takeout), very filling, lots of protein and vegetables, so so yummy and I definitely recommend and want to try more!!! Service was good too; even for the little time we were there getting our order, everyone was nice and attentive. The inside looked very nice too and had lots of big tables for groups! I loved everything! Great customer service, delicious food, and the modern decor. I was here last Friday night for dinner and our waiter was friendly and attentive. I appreciate being able to substitute my noodle preference without an added charge. Most of the places here in the valley charge extra or they do not have fresh rice noodles (banh pho tuoi) which is why I'm happy to get my pho in the 626 or OC area. I got the pho special and I absolutely love the quality of the meat and tendon cut. My bf got the shaken beef and he was very happy with their sauce/seasoning. I will say the rice can be more soft and fresh. Other than that, I'm happy and will return. read more

I wanted so badly to like this restaurant and support the Vietnamese community. This was one of the prettiest Pho restaurants of ever been to. Everything else was terrible. The portions are TINY and so pricey. The menu is different with build your own bun and com dishes. However, the descriptions arent super clear and the staff was oddly not knowledgeable. The com ga roti is the only good dish here. The chicken is super crispy and flavorful. However, it was advertised with fried rice (odd ) but they served it with white rice. When I asked, 3 different staff were baffled and tried to upcharge me for fried rice. Finally, one person said i was right and brought out the rice. Truthfully i prefer the traditional tomato rice anyways. My Vietnamese dad who always wipes his bowl clean, left more than half of his food uneaten. The broth is terribly bland. The egg rolls are barely stuffed and the fish sauce was beyond watered down. Definitely not catered to a traditionally Vietnamese palette. read more

Brand new! Just opened in Porter Ranch so with that said, this Vietnamese restaurant still needs time to get up to speed with order turnaround time. Had lunch on their opening day and took almost an hour after we ordered for the food to arrive. Understandable but hoping this gets better over time. Great ambiance and food was delicious! Honestly it was just okay. Nothing really stood out and most of the dishes weren't super flavorful. I had the bun bo hue and it didn't impress me. The meatballs were probably the best part of it as the sliced beef was super tough. I tried a bit of the pho my family member got and it just tasted super bland. My brother got the pork chop rice plate and the flavor was good but the portion was quite small for the price. The banh xeo was probably my least favorite thing we got as it was soggy instead of crispy and really sweet for some reason. Service and cleanliness of the restaurant were probably the only good parts of the restaurant. All of the staff were really nice and attentive and the restaurant looks vibrant and inviting. Overall probably wouldn't go back unless their food gets a lot better because it's more expensive than all the other viet restaurants in the valley. read more

Recently opened in porter ranch! It is very modern and simple Vietnamese style. My fiance and I ordered pho soup, egg-rolls and special marinated chicken with rice. They are so good and simple. Its perfect for someone who like simple meal. Very beautiful decoration inside. Friendly staffs and have public parking. Its in the plaza with amazon fresh, post office and etc. read more
