Savy Donuts & Smoothies is a perfect hole-in-the-wall donut shop. Everything is incredibly affordable, its a wonder how they make money. You can get a box of dozen for around $5, and 10 donut holes for just $1! Today I got 20 donut holes for $2....gluttony at its finest. ;) The ladies that run this place are also so genuine and sweet. One time I was short on cash by a couple of cents (embarrassing) and the lady just winked at me and said to just come back again. Their customer service isn't canned. Open 24 hours, across from Gyu Kaku Tustin. They have old school arcades, small place, but i LOVE how they have bomb ice cream all the time and its sooo cheap!! It's like Thifty ice cream for HALF the price! the two cambodian/vietnamese ladies were friendly and hooked it up with the extra half scoop of ice cream when they saw how big my eyes and smile were when i saw the ice cream and the price. Omg, I should have visited a long time ago! I usually go to Janny's Donuts in Irvine. Savy's are just as delicious and in my neighborhood! I picked up a sugar donut and a cinnamon roll. So fluffy and fresh. They also serve smoothies and other items. I will need to try something different on the next visit. The woman that helped me was so kind. I love that this place is open 24/7. Plus one star for that. Whether you're drunk or you just have a late night donut craving, this place is here for you! The selection isn't the best, but it'll do. They have humungous ham and cheese croissants, pretty decent tasting. Last time we went was around 2am, all they had were the yucky cake donuts and sugar donuts. No maple, no chocolate, no nothing. So we got a sugar donut. Yummy! I'm a happy camper. Very moist and fluffy. I went earlier today and no donut holes. Sad face. But at least I know now from the pictures, they do serve donut holes here. Again, mostly cake donuts but there was a maple log today! No chocolate again from what I could see. I stumbled onto this hole-in-the-wall donut shop while meaning to visit Sushi Wasabi next door. As Sushi Wasabi was closed for holiday hours, I ventured next door to find a somewhat peculiar donut shop in that they also sell sandwichs and large variety of smoothies ($2.99 for small, and $3.75 for large). The staff is friendly. The donuts are inexpensive. And, the sandwiches are a healthy size, and also at reasonable cost. There are 3-4 indoor seating and a few tables for 'patio' (i.e. sidewalk) seating. My kids enjoy coming here for their selection of donuts and smoothies. The setting is very 'informal' (i.e., again, hole-in-the-wall). Also, I was told sandwiches and smoothie orders can be taken over the phone. We will try that next time ... especially helpful as often there is only 1 or 2 people in the shop taking orders. The shop is freeway close (5 Fwy and Newport Ave exit - southbound). And, I suspect we will be back often. read more

It was 6pm on a Sunday and I was searching everywhere to fix my doughnut craving when I stumbled across this place...the doughnuts were rich and tasty, especially the old-fashioned and buttermilk glazed, and it was all very cheap too-6 doughnuts for under $4.50! I was recommended here through a friend and I gotta say what a great hole in the wall establishment Savy Donuts is! I went in and impressed by the overall atmosphere and not to mention top notch tasty donuts! The thing is, is that my dad is a baker in a donut shop so I'm very familiar with pastries. They have an excellent selection of donuts to choose from and a great variety on sandwiches and smoothies. The place looks better than most of the donut shops in town backed by their focus on quality and cleanliness. HORRIBLE customer service at night. I work the night shift, so occasionally I come here after work for a special treat. Woman at the front counter always looks extremely displeased, never greets anyone with a smile. A recent time I went there, I knew exactly what I wanted, she comes from the back and says "hi" I open my mouth to order and she just sighs and goes back to the back before I can even say anything. when I'm done ordering, she swipes my card. Gives me the look of ultimate stinkeye and tells me "your card doesn't work" I try another one, and she gives me a harsher stinkeye. "this doesn't work either" and she shows me her screen. you wanna know what the screen says? "Internet not connected"ok my cards work, her internet just isn't connected and she's acting like its my fault? I think "whatever, I'll just pay with cash" She charges me for using card anyway? um.... one would think "oh, maybe this worker is having a bad day" first of all, you NEVER take that out on her customers. secondly, she looks that cranky EVERY TIME I GO THERE. ------------------------------EDIT--------------------------------- I'd have to say, as long as you don't get a smoothie during the night hours, you're fine. as the girl working at that time just doesn't like making smoothies. I found that when I don't order a smoothie, she's very friendly. Donuts are mediocre. The toppings are bland. The dough is too... doughy. I only go here because it's 24 hours and convenient. I've driven plenty far for a better donut. Never had ice cream, smoothies, or coffee. Customer service is bad if you get the older Asian ladies, but I don't include customer service in ratings. Just the food. read more

All was good--A good last minute shop to get late night snacks and drinks while in OC, until we were rudely asked to move tables just because we were in front of the coffee that someone wanted to get real quick. "you move to the other side..." No please or any pleasant conversation. It wasn't our fault that the other tables were taken at the time we got there. Customer service is important when owning a food establishment or type of retail. This donut place has the best ham & cheese croissants in town. Actually, in TOWNS because it's better than anything in Irvine and anything in Santa Ana. It has a big slice of ham in it and it's fairly large and tasty. They always have the same people behind the counter and they always remember you...and they're all very nice so that's a plus. The donuts were utterly revolting. I am trying to figure out how this got such great yelp ratings when everything we got was essentially inedible. We had to throw these dry, tasteless lumps of garbage out. On the other hand, the Mango Boba we got was just fine and tasty enough. But if you're going to do Boba, do that. They have donuts and are open 24/7! Donuts are good, but pretty standard. They don't have anything that really stands out. I think they add like 45 cents to credit/debit cars, but that's kinda standard for fare. I didn't try the drinks. read more

I have lived in Tustin for two years and Orange County my entire life. Finding a place to get a midnight snack that is not Jack in the Box or Del Taco can be pretty tough. This donut shop is by far the best I have had for such a cheap price. They have amazing smoothies made with creamy ice cream that they also sell 24/7. Not only do they specialize in sweets they also have really good sandwiches with your choice of bread, meat, and other toppings. (Best croissant breakfast sandwich!!!!) If you just ate at the Cajun Bistro, you'll end up here for a smoothie cool down because that place is too spicy. That's why we ended up here on Friday night at 7pm. My hubby loved that this place had 51 Smoothies then we went inside and I think it went up to 71. He really liked his #19 Mocha smoothie which has a scoop of chocolate ice cream in it. I got the #62 with Taro & Banana w/ boba which I loved. It's better than plain Taro. There was a really nice customer there and she told us their glazed blueberry donuts are the best in town. But, sadly I'm allergic to blueberries so, bummer for me. We did get a crumb donut and a basic glazed and they were moist and fresh. I get why other Yelps were upset with the older Asian lady but, if you're not in a rush (like us) then you got to love her. She was cute and didn't seem to speak English. We thought it was funny. A young, cute guy came running in right when we were ordering and saved the day. He seemed to be showing her the ropes. He was very kind and patient with her and I thought that was nice to see. My hubby liked it here and we like supporting family owned businesses that sell food we want to eat. We'll be back to try more smoothies and donuts. Was in need of a sweet after dinner at the Korean BBQ next door (delish)... So we decided to check this place out... Donuts didn't look too amazing so my bf and I opted to try the boba milk tea. I didn't notice the wall full of large containers of flavored powder until the woman started making our drink which consisted of powder, milk and ice cream. I guess they forgot to add tea..
