Found this place on yelp and figured we would give it a try. My husband ordered the turkey avo sandwich with fries and I ordered the Travis steak burrito. Neither one of us could finish our meals. Everything was delicious!! The staff was very friendly but did not hover(a huge plus in my book). The only downside to this place was the parking. VERY small p-lot on a hill, the food/service were so good that the lack of parking wasn't a big enough downside to lose a star! read more

Atmosphere is pretty laid-back, however I do prefer eating outside and the restaurant is located next to a bustling town street; kind of mitigates the mellow vibes a bit. We needed a family-friendly place for breakfast on our way to Knotts Berry Farm. We called ahead to get seating for 8, ended up with two tables of 4 which was perfect (adults + kids). The management here is awesome and breakfast never dissapoints. I grew up in San Clemente and now everytime I go home i make sure I stop by here to get the Mexi Huevo Rancheros or the Gringo burritos. Found this place while driving along the I-5 N. It's located in a little business strip mall like area. At first sight it looks like it is closed but that is only because the restaurant has bamboo roll down blinds to shield the bright sun from its patrons. As you make your way in, it is apparent that this restaurant is very clean. All of the servers say hello when you walk in and offer you a seat wherever you like. I was extremely pleased with the customer service. I ordered The Country Mix which is hash browns, cheese, and ham mixed and you also have a choice of toast or tortillas. The plate had an option of a side plate of cheese, sour cream and, avocado which I chose for an additional charge which was definitely worth it. I also ordered a side of pinto beans because someone in my party ordered a plate that came with beans and it looked amazing. This plate came with a great serving enough to feed 2 people. I would definitely recommend stopping by SC Cafe if you're ever in San Clemente or driving through the area. Yelp doesn't let us down again! The breakkie is super excellent here. I had Bea's omelet, no mush, and my dh had something excellent that we can't remember the name of, but was 3 eggs scram with hash browns, spinach, jack cheese and tortillas. The hash browns, handmade corn tortillas and fresh salsa were SO excellent. We loved it! Yum. Highly recommend. Service is quirky, but all servers are really nice and sweet. So recommend! The coffee could've been a little better, but we loved that they served in random mugs-very homey feeling. Wish we lived nearby so we could go again! read more

This is my favorite breakfast place. I get the Bea's omelet but always have them scramble it. I always ask for a side of jalapeño and they always bring me a whole jalapeño. Yum! Their salsa is great. Mimosas are priced right. The best thing about this place is the service!!!!! They sit down and chat with us every time we're there.
