What a beautiful restaurant tucked in rather discreetly. With beautiful views of Bellagio fountains and The Strip. We were seated in a very private booth that allowed for easy conversation without the background noise of the restaurant. Starting off we ordered a cocktail. Berry Smash and Italian dirty martini. Both were amazing. But hands down the crowd pleaser was the berry smash. Started off with a beet salad. Each roasted to earthy perfection and bread service delivered about same time. Some of the best bread service ever. Focaccia was delicate pillows with light Italian seasonings. We ordered the shrimp scampi, the scampi was with house made fresh pasta the 16oz ribeye with crispy fingerling potatoes. The steak was charred perfectly and the crispy fingerlings are worth ordering the steak for. The potatoes perfectly crisp and just the right amount of seasoning. The atmosphere, the food, the hospitality was at the top. My favorite was the polenta w/ mushrooms. It was pure umame, delectable. And the foie gras ravioli is a must have, unlike nothing I've ever had. It was delicious. For desert, everyone would have to order the chocolate soufle. I'm not much of a chocolate fan ordinarily, but this was the perfect amount of bittersweet. And the caramel sauce that it was lying on was the perfect combination. Scarpetta has 1 of my fave pasta dishes. We came here for our 1st time and for a 7 pm reservation on the weekend, we had a good seat. The ones right in front of the window were reserved, but we had a seat on the row right behind them. We got to watch the Bellagio water show and it was a very peaceful and nice experience. We ordered the Salmon Carpaccio and it was good, but we didn't realize how many olives and capers it had (yikes). As olive haters, this kinda threw us off, but it's our fault for not reading the menu closer. The fish itself was good though after we removed all those olives. The bread basket they give you at first also has great bread. We both ordered the Agnolotti as our main course. It was extremely rich, flavorful, and truly divine. The cheese, the bone marrow, the little dumplings. That's basically what they were. I thought I wouldn't get full eating it, but I couldn't finish. It was extremely rich, in a good way. I loved it. For my wife's 52nd birthday we spent a couple days in Vegas. She's a vegetarian so Italian food tends to be her go to for a fancy meal. Having tried Amalfi, Carmines, and a few other places on the strip on previous trips we went to Yelp and picked somewhere new to us. We made a reservation at Scarpetta which is in the Cosmopolitan (next to Bellagio, where we stayed) on the 3rd floor. In the reservation we noted her birthday as our special occasion. From the moment we checked in we were treated like VIP's with an enthusiastic "Happy Birthday" and quickly taken to a nice table with a Bellagio fountain view (although we would've loved being right next to the window), Our waiter was friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the bread for the table which included sourdough, abd a couple types of focaccia. For dinner we decided to share the TABLESIDE PACCHERI PASTA (for two). We were a little reluctant due to the truffle which we kind of got burnt out on the last few years with all the truffle soy and hot sauces, but we went for it. Boy were we glad we did! The tableside preparation was such a wonderful touch with a knowledgeable chef explaining every ingredient and expertly preparing and plating the meal then telling us the toasted sourdough was perfect to "scarpetta" the extra sauce. OMG the hand made pasta was perfect and this was the best cream sauce either of us has ever had. We were reminded that fresh, quality black truffle is in a category of its own and not to be compared to the stuff that ends up in mass produced sauces at the grocery store. For dessert we shared the AMEDEI CHOCOLATE CAKE which they made extra special for her birthday. The cake was made to order and still hot at its center with a brownie-like density and edges. The Amaretto gelato was a perfect complement and the salted caramel sauce was rich, buttery and perfect. We will be back! Save us a window seat! read more

10 out of 10 experience. Probably one of the most accommodating, well put together restaurants I have been to on the Strip, and in general. It's a dark, romantic vibe with views of the city. Don't forget to give them any dietary restrictions ahead of time. They double, even triple check these down to the tee. Me and a couple of friends dined at Scarpetta and unfortunately the experience was pretty mediocre. Our server, Leo, could have done much better. We waited about 15 minutes just to get water and had to continuously track him down when we were ready to place our order, which made the dining experience feel more frustrating than relaxing. For appetizers, we ordered the carpaccio, oysters, and yellowtail. The yellowtail was actually pretty good, but the rest were very mid and didn't really stand out. For my entrée, I had the scallops, which were undercooked and disappointing, especially for a restaurant of this caliber. The atmosphere was okay and had potential, but better service would have made it much easier to enjoy. On a positive note, the drinks were good and probably the highlight of the night. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience, but it definitely didn't live up to expectations. read more

This is what modern Italian food should be from scarpetta. Some of their pastas are classics and some are unique like the ravioli and short ribs. They combine classic flavors with unique twists, which is what makes this place special. Highly recommend these 2 pastas as they are both rich and filling. Their Caesar salad was somehow exceptionally crispy even though it was well dressed, not sure how they made it happen, but it was also great. The veal chop parm was yet another classic, but executed well with a big chop. It was crispy, but very cheesy and tender. The tiramisu was on point and very creamy. The donuts were very light and fluffy, could have used a little more filling though. I'd go back especially for the ravioli and veal chop parm, perhaps the tirmisu too. read more

We came here while staying in Vegas one weekend in September for our anniversary dinner. Scarpetta in NYC was one of my favorite Italian restaurants so I wanted to try its Vegas counterpart. Scarpetta is located within The Cosmopolitan casino. The restaurant is much bigger than it looks from the entrance. We arrived about 30 minutes before our actual reservation time, and did not get seated until our reservation was scheduled. We were taken to the main dining room area, which has large windows that overlook the fountains of Bellagio. Scarpetta was super busy that night and it seemed like every table was full at 6:30 on a Saturday night. Our waiter was welcoming and explained the menu to us, as well as going over recommendations. In hindsight, we probably over-ordered. One of the things I love most about Scarpetta is their complimentary bread basket. When most restaurants aren't providing free bread anymore, Scarpetta very generously offers a whole basket, filled with different kinds of bread- but all of them delicious. Our appetizers included arancini and a caprese salad. The arancini is a must-order. For sides, we couldn't go past the creamy polenta and mushrooms (if you are visiting Scarpetta, I highly recommend ordering the polenta). I've never tasted anything like their version of polenta. We ordered two pasta dishes to share between us. One of these was a foie gras ravioli which was delicious, but decadent, perhaps overly so. The other was a tagliolini with lobster. The sauce was much lighter than the foie gras ravioli, but it still had good flavor. We had a delicious meal here. I'd highly recommend if you're craving Italian in Vegas. read more

Our best meal in Vegas is always Italian! We have to eat at an Italian restaurant at least once whenever we are in town! We'v stayed at the cosmopolitan countless times but never noticed this hidden restaurant and bar. We were seated at a fountain view window table which was perfect for our date night! The menu was great with good varieties and gluten free options. We have tried risotto and grilled octopus as apps, truffle chicken and ribeye as entrees. Also espresso shots and a birthday dessert from the restaurant. Everything tasted fantastic! Italian really is my favorite food. Our last dinner in Vegas was at Scarpetta at the Cosmopolitan. We sat in a secluded round booth in the bar area, but if you want a view, sit in the dining room and you'll see the Bellagio fountains. Our server tonight was David and he was absolutely fabulous! We started with a bottle of Italian red, and then my husband and I shared the charred octopus and also the roasted beet insalata. The kitchen split both items for us. I liked that. The charred octopus with fingerling potatoes was so tender and grilled perfectly. The beet salad came with herb ricotta and citrus, so fresh. I would say they could use more ricotta. It was just a tiny schmear. My husband had the pork chop with red cabbage as his entree. I'm not a pork chop gal, but my hubby said it was flavorful and moist. I had the scallops with butternut squash purée and a green apple & fennel slaw. The scallops had a nice sear and were sweet, and the slaw added the perfect crunch and freshness. David brought us crispy fingerling potatoes as a side, as well as a limoncello cheesecake for dessert, both complimentary. David's personality, our conversation with him and the great service he provided really made our dining experience enjoyable. Even though Scarpetta is an Italian restaurant, no pasta crossed our lips, which is unusual for this Italian girl. It was a delicious ending to our time in Vegas. I have been here a couple times. The first time blew us away completely. My party was unexpectedly given the private dining room which was a wonderful touch to our dinner plans. Service was perfect, attentive and food was great. I had the branzino and absolutely loved it. The raviolo didn't ooze the yolk the way we expected but still tasted good. The desserts were phenomenal and we couldn't wait to go back for the desserts. Second visit we sat in the normal dining room but had a window seat with a phenomenally clear view of the Bellagio fountains. They forgot about me when they were pouring the initial glass of water and the server assistants and food runners couldn't seem to time things right as far as picking up old plates, giving new silverware and bringing food out. Twice the food runners had to walk away from us and stand in a corner with our food because we still had the previous courses' plates on the table. Food was still decent but I think lacking salt throughout. I had the duck breast which was difficult to cut through but still a tender bite. The octopus appetizer and the veal chop were the highlights of the dinner with the most flavor. My first time trying octopus and I was blown away. The desserts were fine but not as wonderful as what we remember. Overall a decent celebrity chef Strip restaurant, but not my favorite. read more

I started off there, and actually got some help bringing my appetizer to my table when the reservation came up sooner than realized. I had a beef carpaccio and drinks to bring as well as specifically having asked for some types of bread in my basket instead of others It's dark, not exactly noisy, but everyone *is* close and the space isn't too large. From the moment my girlfriend and I walked in we were wowed by the ambiance and views. As soon as we sat down we were greeted by our server and shown the drink menu and told about all the specials. We started with cocktails and Calamari and a bread basket with 3 different types of breads and different toppings for them. Wow, all were so fresh and tasty. The pasta was good, but it was $50 pasta because it had lobster in it and as you can see in the picture there was two tiny pieces of lobster. The free bread that comes in the beginning was a really nice touch and the Stromboli in there was delicious. As for desserts that lemon cheesecake and tiramisu, we're both really good. Service was sub par for vegas. Bread plates were left on the table while entrees dropped n they never wiped it down before dropping dessert so food on table while eating desert at these prices shouldn't happen . Wow! That short rib raviolis are a must have here! This is signature for them. So we came here for a private dinner and had an OKAY view of the water fountains. If you really want to have an amazing view of the Bellagio fountains in Vegas..it isn't this spot. I've been to restaurants face in center view. But you can still see it from here..maybe not in private room as much. Since this was a private event with a prefixe menu...options were limited but I would choose the short rib ravioli over the filet mignon any day. This isn't a steak-based restaurant. It's Italian. If you want steak, you go to a steak restaurant. But my husband said the filet mignon is okay..nothing better than the others. We started with appetizers. I didn't care for their caprese/tomato app. It was chunks of veggies with cheese. The polenta dip was delicious and the focaccia bread was so addictive!! It was so warm and delicious! That short rib ravioli was so good with that meat very tender that it melts in your mouth. The sauce was light and delicious . That bone marrow just makes it even more tastier. I literally finished this in one sitting! Dessert- We got the beignets which were okay. It was good but nothing amazing. We also got the ricotta cheesecake and coconut panna cotta which were better. Service was great and friendly! One major critique I have is...if it's a private dinner..I don't get why bottled glass water wasn't on the table! I honestly think a high end restaurant like this shouldn't be offering tap water. Bus out the Acqua Panna water. Don't let tap water be an option at this point. We've been twice and have tried several things. Scarpetta is a solid choice for Italian. The service has been uniformly very good. Both times, we were steered towards dishes - albeit completely different ones - and away from a couple of choices. The bread basket is wonderful, served with a trio of topping options. Both times we had the raviolo, which is a favorite dish of mine. The version here is good, but it pales when compared to the egg yolk raviolo served at Osteria Mozza in LA. The oysters were undeniably fresh but the tangerine mignonette, apples and other flavors overwhelmed the bivalves. I wouldn't order these again. First visit, I had the squid ink tagliatelle with lobster. It was good, particularly the lobster which was good quality. This time, I had the brown butter pasta, which was good but not that exciting. My SO had the short rib with crab the first visit (crab was the highlight of that meal!) and this time went with spaghetti with meatballs. Maybe we do keep ordering wrong, but there is something about Scarpetta that keeps it a very solid option but not a stellar choice, especially since Carbone is temptingly nearby and the Italian there is truly outstanding. read more

This is my favorite restaurant in Vegas and this recent visit topped all previous ones. As someone with Celiac disease, eating out can be really difficult. Chef Katie was spectacular! She made me the best custom gluten free pasta dish with alfredo and prawns. Definitely one of the best gluten free pastas I've ever had (and that's including pasta I've had in Italy). The appetizers and desserts were spectacular too (Yellowtail Crudo, Caprese, and Beet Insalata; Flourless Chocolate Cake and Salted Caramel Budino). I can't wait to visit again. read more

However, get the bread basket as it feels like you're eating small sandwiches. Some had prosciutto and I believe the other one had some sort of a broccoli, garlic cheese of sorts. It was absolutely delicious! The gnocchi wasn't really anything special and the short rib pasta which was a bit too salty for my liking. We did get the cheesecake which was divine! read more

If she wanted to be treated like crap over a plate of pasta, we could've done that at home. People save to go to Vegas to have an experience and that experience was ruined. The room was cozy and perfect for a small gathering. Luckily because we had a group of people we went ahead and ordered multitude of items from the menu, so glad because I got to taste a bit of everything! My memory of the night starts to get a little hazy, we were having a lot of tequila throughout the day... so bear with me... if I don't remember things correctly or... if I allegedly had a dish that doesn't exist... A few that were very memorable were: agnolotti, short rib and brown butter absolutely delicious! The pasta was cooked to perfection, the filling did not overpower the pasta itself. Gnocchi, I typically avoid gnocchi because it feels a bit heavy to me but... at Scarpetta I found myself indulging pretty heavily on this dish, it was outstanding! Soft, fluffy, buttery... just tasty! The Octopus was perfectly cooked and seasoned I would highly recommend you order it to share at the table. Def a spot you need reservations for. But keep in mind this spot does have a dress code, so you can't roll up with sweats and your swim wear lol. Had dinner right when they opened at 5 pm and within a few moments, the restaurant was full! I would recommend requesting to sit by the window so you can see the Bellagio Foundation and night lights if you're into that. It was my first time here. Move toward one of the highlights of the cosmo hotel, the chandelier and it takes you to the escalators. You'll take the escalator to the third floor and go to the right. You'll see Red Plate and then Scatpetta is to the left with a colorful wall. Started with a drink, which was the Sophia Loren which is made with prosecco which was pretty decent. I ordered the Agnolotti which is a pasta dish with bits of short rib and breadcrumbs in a brown butter sauce which was very flavorful with each bite. And what makes it good? Fresh made pasta! But who can forget to mention the breadbasket?! It comes with 3 types of bread being traditional sourdough, then two types of bread that are warmed being the focaccia and Stromboli. And they prvide a circus olive oil, eggplants, and a whipped butter which were all tasteful. With the eggplants, a little goes a long way. And to end the night, had the mascarpone creme brùlée which was huge! But it was so delicious! My server was Ricardo I believe, and the service was really good! On our reservation, we requested a booth seating and were seated accordingly. Complimentary bread basket had a variety to choose from and were all fresh. My boyfriend ordered the Braised Prime Short Rib with butter poached king crab and mashed potatoes. The beef was tender and flavorful. I ordered the Colorado Lamb Rack with pecorino cheese crust, crushed potatoes, roasted bell pepper, and lamb jus. We were told that it takes about 40 minutes for the lamb. It took less than that. It was tender and cooked as ordered (medium rare) and good flavor. We ordered Thé Limoncello Cheesecake (limoncello cream, blueberry compote, blueberry sorbet). It was really delicious ! Our server, Rod, was friendly with a good demeanor, knowledgeable of the menu and checked on us regularly. Ambiance - high end Italian restaurant. Lighting is adequate. Not loud which is perfect so one can enjoy a quiet, relaxed dinner. A bit pricey but considering it is on the Strip (3rd floor of the Venetian) and the portions are adequate. Everything was SO salty. My mocktail was good(Notte Rosa) but was SO sweet. 1.5 hours from seating to main course hitting our table (was fine but we felt forgotten). I declined a second mocktail and was never asked/checked on to see if I'd like something else. Seabass was recommended over the scallops but it was not a good choice.
