There's a reason there was only one car in the drive thru when the other 4 restaurants around them were packed. I worked for over 12 hours today and decided that I would pick up dinner and lunch for tomorrow. What a disaster. The drive through lady handed me my soup and half sandwich with no pizza. Once I finally got their attention to tell them my pizza was missing, they said they would get me the pizza. 7 to 9 minutes later, I end up with this cold, nasty mess. They told me there was no money on the card, was very rude and acted as if I was trying to scam them. I went home and checked the balance of the card online there was $10.00 on the card. Visited on September 20. As soon as I got out of my truck, I stepped out of my truck onto an uneven curb. My second foot planted on a manhole cover. The cover tilted and my leg went straight down into the hole, stopped myvfall when my waist reached groundlevel. I hollered out to my wife as I was pulling myself out of the hole. We went inside of Schlotskes and told managment what happened. I had to go to restroom to clean blood off my leg. The manager on duty immediately told us it not on their property. I came out ofvtge bathroom, cleaned up but still in a great deal of pain. My wife ordered us food as I sat down. Making small talk with the lady taking her order. She stated this was the second time this happened today. The manager on duty came to our table, saide he talked to the District Manager. The DM said to give usvthe number to NBU because this is not on their property. Still Schlotskes never took a report. My wife called NBU, in 5 minutes two gentlemen and The safety manager all from NBU arrived. They checked on me and stated that it is Schlotskes sewer cleanout drain. It is on Schlotskes property. My wife went back inside to let them know. One of the NBU managers went with her. There was a new manager on duty a female, she rudly said "well your husband is ok he is walking around". My wife said "who are you a Dr". Schlotskes never followed up on if I was OK. As I drive by the Cover has a single cone on top. A child can easily fall down the hole. NBU said its at least 7' deep, with sewage floating in it. Schlotskes doesn't seem to care about their customers. By the way my wife couldn't eat her sandwich because they had put so much mustard on it, it was very poorly made. That night my knee swelled up and was all bruised, in case Schlotskes wants to know. I got a smoked turkey sandwich a couple of weeks ago at the drive through window. I ate half my sandwich when I saw something moving near the other half. A BUG! Gross, nasty, awful. I haven't been here in a long while. The Ord's is closer to where we live so it has been over a year since we have eaten here. We needed a quick bite before heading off to SA. I ordered a turkey club, daughter had the turkey, hubs had the original and son ordered the kids pizza. We grabbed our drinks and headed over to sit. Our food was brought over in less than 5 minutes. Every bite was eaten. I forgot how good the bread was! We may need to come to this part of town more often. My son didn't get his cookie that came with the meal by that was fixed quickly. Last week I ordered a Chicken Avocado Cobb Salad. Got home and there was no garlic bread in the bag. I thought ok mistakes can happen. Yesterday I ordered the same salad. Got home and there was no garlic bread and NO CHICKEN on the salad at all......NONE. We live 5 miles away, so after eating the partial salad I drove back over there and went inside with my receipt to talk to the manager on duty. He said he would need the complete meal back to replace it. I explained that I live more than a few blocks away and decided to eat the partial salad. I said I just wanted him to be fair with me and maybe give me partial credit back on my card for the main protein missing and he said he would not because he did not get the complete salad back. I won't deal with this business ever again. If a business cannot be fair with customers than they don't deserve hard earned money from unhappy customers. I'm mad I had to put one star. I would caution everyone going to the New Braunfels, TX location of this business to check their receipts before leaving. I ordered a medium sandwich on the 6th of August 2020 and days later saw my debit card w as dinged for $11.17 for the sandwich. The employee and the manager never seemed to understand we had paid for and selected delivery.
