The staff are friendly, the store is well-stocked, and the prices are competitive and sometimes lower than Dierbergs. I just left out the store had a bad experience at self check out! I'm not sure why I had to leave the register walk over to produce to take a screen shot on my phone for the first at self out to adjust the $1 price difference! I don't think $1 would have sent Schnucks into bankruptcy! She even called the produce person and it took him just as long to give her the price of $2.99 as it did for me to walk over there! I've been shopping here since 1985 and have always had a great experience. My recent problem has been with the single bagels in the case - they are always hard as a rock! I tried buying a muti-pack, but they were stale before I could eat them all - very frustrating! A little quality control would go a long way. read more

This store is very pricey compared to other schnucks locations. There's not as much selection and no offense but the older cashiers are very grumpy and stiff often looking like it's a chore to speak or do something extra. Their only saving grace is the pharmacy which doesn't have a drive thru and that's only because the staff is overly friendly. That said, a few times the prescription isn't ready after it's been called in hours beforehand. It's quite a shame because I love using schnucks for rewards but this location isn't worth going to. read more

I like Schnuck's, stop at several on my way home from work and the Webster store is my local. It's always organized and well stocked. Here is my comment. Given Schnuck's large security error a couple years ago, giving up personal account and credit card information, having been hacked, wouldn't you think that Schuck's would have the chip-technology enabled? I stopped at the Webster Groves Schnucks on a weekday morning on the way to work. I picked up a few premade meals so that my father and I would have a few lunches for the next couple of days at work. I picked up a Buffalo Chicken Stromboli, a Chicken Parmesan Stromboli, a soup, and a Boar's Head salami sandwich on pretzel roll. Everything was actually pretty good and lasted us 2 lunches. I'm going to have to start stopping at Schnucks as well as Dierberg's. They have upped their premade food game! read more

This is my neighborhood store. It is convenient, clean, well organized and not so terribly big like some other big grocery stores. I wish I lived a livestyle that allowed me the time and the money to shop "boutique style" like in Europe. A stop at the baker, a stop at the vegetable stand, a stop at the butcher etc. But I (we) don't. So, if you're going to do it the American way, this is as good as any. Nice store, friendly people, as fair priced as any Schnucks ever is, best when things I use are on sale. Nice variety and the fish department is particularly nice. read more

Schnucks Webster Groves - the front of the store - Grocery Near Me - St. Louis, Missouri

I regularly go to the Schnucks that is only about 2 minutes drive from me but since I've discovered the Jamba Juice attached to this one, I suspect I will frequent this location from now on. As far as the Big Bend traffic, it is slightly a pain but since I grocery shop in the middle of the week during mid-mornings, traffic is not at all an issue. First of all, I think I might actually like this location way better than the one close to home for several reasons: 1. The organization is slightly better. I came into the store and immediately to the right are the fruits and vegetable area but also the deli and freshly prepared food area/sushi. So if I ever come in just to grab something quick for lunch, I don't have to walk all the way toward the back of the store to get it. 2. The employees were very friendly. I went over to the deli to pick up a couple of things. The deli attendants were still busy putting things together (for lunch, I suppose) but someone came over and helped me right away. She was very nice and assisted my needs happily. Then I was off to the fresh meats where.... 3. There was only one personnel working but he was trying his hardest to come over and get me what I needed as soon as he can. He had a lot of patience especially since I need 3 different things weighed and packaged. 4. I also needed some pork chops so I went over to the ones already packaged. The gentleman kindly moved his cart of meats so I could pass with my shopping cart. I didn't even have to ask. What a nice gesture! 5. The cashier and the person bagging my groceries were even nice and friendly during checkout. Then of course, I headed straight to Jamba Juice. Overall, it was a great shopping experience that I had to write a review right away! read more

I visited this location yesterday and while checking out, a bottle of wine fell off the conveyor belt and spilled. The staff was so kind as I was so embarrassed. This Schnucks location to me is simply just ok. It appears neat, clean and semi-organized. It isn't stocked as well as other locations I noticed. I hate how dark the parking lot is at night which is concerning. I do like the floral selection at this location. The flowers appear fresh and nicely arranged and reasonably priced. I find their meat selection to be lacking in options and not well stocked. The parking lot is a pain and I'm not even referring to getting in and out, I'm speaking of the setup. Remember going to the grocery store in the early 90's? It's only like this in St. Louis. If you go to any other city and grocery shop it will blow your mind. Stores like HyVee and Safeway are modern and current, but if you live in St. Louis and only grocery shop here you would never know that the entire rest of the word has advanced far beyond these bad local stores that we have. The unions keep any of the nice, modern stores away from growing into the St. Louis market so we'll just have to stagnate. read more

Oh Schnucks Webster Groves, why does everyone hate you! Ooooo...the traffic. Yes, has to be the traffic. This place IS a pain to get in and out of during rush hour and can become quite packed but it's soooo close to the highway so I still come here. Although, the key is to not come during pique hours. It's a just like any other Schnucks, great service and products. It seems a little small for how busy it is but you work with what you have. Another bonus, it's 24 hours. I know there are a lot of 24 hour Schnucks but this one is extra special. What sets Schnuks apart from other local grocers? Probably their donuts. I love donuts and they're dirt cheap! Asked cashier if my entire purchase was in the one bag she gave me. She said yes. I got home, entire purchase wasn't in the bag. I called up a little agitated, they told me sorry. Burned a gallon of gas coming back up and going home, and I got a sorry. Don't get me wrong- I'm not looking for a handout, but maybe take the time to put a little more effort into your service if I call and sound angry. No worries for me, Dierbergs is nearly the same distance- and I'll pay extra to go there in the future. read more

Odd situation if you are just stopping in to buy lottery tickets. The guy at the customer service counter counter was super nice but they also had him checking groceries. I stop at this Schnucks on my way home sometimes - it's not my preferred location, but it does ok. It hasn't been nicely redone like the Crestwood location I go to, but I can find things a lot easier than the Brentwood location. It's very convenient to my home. Good for basics - bread and milk. When anything is on sale, they are usually out of it! Don't carry a lot of things that are new. A few days before thanksgiving, they were out of Stove Top Stuffing (my children's favorite) and this week I went in for soup meat (the thick cut of meat around marrow bones). They had none! The "butcher" or worker at the meat counter came out and showed me a package of sharp, thin bone shards. Yuck! Also, bag boys (not special needs young adults) don't know how to bag! read more

I haven't been going back to Schnucks as the new grey carts are very dirty. When outside the wind or rain must push all the grime & leaves (dirt) to the back of the cart. When you have a full cart of groceries they end up back in the dirt...yuck. A lot of the dates on items are expired and we bought an item in the meat section, encased in plastic and I immediately put it in the fridge. When I took it out there was a very large bug of some kind in the package trying to get into the plastic container of cooked ribs. That turned me off but the dirt in carts is the main thing. The women in the deli are extremely friendly and so helpful. They are an asset to your store!! read more

I can't say enough nice things about the Schnucks Pharmacy in Webster Groves on Big Bend and Elm. They are super helpful and patient. I've had several experiences where they go out of their way to help. My mom is elderly and uses this pharmacy. I iive out of town. We tried using mail service and other pharmacies to save a dollar here or there, but it wasn't worth it. We came back to the Schnucks pharmacy in Webster for their customer service--it's priceless! read more

I quit going to Schnucks in Webster 25 years ago because the employees complained and were crabby. I've been three times in the last month trying to give it a chance. This morning I went in to pick up a few items. The checker and bagger were crabby, out of it, and both had long faces. the pharmacy employees including the pharmacist are completely inept and poorly managed. they blame their slow and uncaring "service" on being very busy, as they let me know on nearly every contact i have with them. well, I'm busy too, and what they need to understand is that NO ONE wants to have to have prescriptions filled, we would rather be perfectly healthy, and not need their "services", but i need my prescriptions filled in a timely, efficient manner in order to preserve my health and their incompitency is not helping this already unpleasant task. read more
