I also got banana bread, one of the baked goods they offer. Their banana breads are really cute and baked into little loaves. They also offer chocolate cake, cake pops, pie, macaroons and cookies. I believe the offerings change daily. When we visited, we sat outside on the deck. It's a two-story deck, with lots of seating and tables on the top story, and lots of seating and tables on the ground floor, but the ground floor also has a fireplace and a few patio games, like giant Jenga. I was really impressed with Schoolhouse 7 cafe. I picked it from yelp for a breakfast meeting because it looked cute, had great reviews, and was near to HSE high school. The coffee I ordered was hot and delicious- I ordered one of the Valentines Day/February specials, a lavender coconut concoction that was seriously so good! My friend ordered a drip coffee and a cinnamon roll. That cinnamon roll!! Apparently everything but the macaroons are made from scratch in house- you could tell the cinnamon roll was, it had so much cinnamon and looked very fresh. The ambiance was good for a meeting- not too loud, plenty of places to sit, and everyone was really friendly to us even as we sat for an hour. Went to get coffee this morning and stumbled across this cool place in the neighborhood Very Clean and Very friendly! They have recently celebrated one year. Everyone working was wearing a mask and tables were six feet apart and you must wear a mask before walking in. I was shocked that there were sugar free syrup options so I got a freshman sugar free Carmel latte. We also ordered the bacon, egg, and Gouda sandwich and broccoli and bacon crust less quiche. The Gouda was melted onto the sandwich...hello delicious! I noticed that the building is laid out in a way that allows louder groups to congregate upstairs and outside to study and work. Cute little cafe with a sweet ambiance! We came on a bright cold winters day when the ground was snowy white. Seating down stairs was ample but we sat upstairs by the balcony. At 25 degrees it was too cold to go out but it looked inviting non the less. While we weren't hungry the chocolate cake is made on premises and we did partake! So happy we did. 5 stars! This cafe/coffee shop is sooooo stinking cute - I just love how they've woven the school theme throughout the business. The centerpieces on the tables downstairs are just darling. I appreciate attention to detail... I met a colleague here for coffee one morning and we sat upstairs. There's are small tables for individuals and a larger table for groups. But the play area for toddlers was really the gem! It's perfect for a quick play date or mommy-n-me outing. My little one thinks their blueberry muffins are ahhh-mazing. I think they are a little over priced, personally. But I understand there's a convenience fee built in there - and rightfully so!! Their location is superb! The drive thru is phenomenal!! Some mornings when I'm working from home, I don't get dressed and love that I can grab a delicious chai latte without having to comb my hair and put on clothes! And the latte is pretty tasty! I also tried the green smoothie. It was delicious, but different. It had an after taste of Earl Grey...weird, but true. And I love earl grey, so it was right up my alley. I'll have to try it again to see if that was just a happy mistake. Lol I already know what I wanna try on my next visit... Next time, I'm hoping to try the cookie butter flavor shot in my coffee. What a cute place! It's located across from an elementary school but the coffee shop used to be the actual school. It's a historical location. It's bit small but cozy. Second floor is also available with some seatings outside. I didn't get to check it out this time but next time I will. I tried standard latte so I could compare with other coffee shops. My first new place of the year! Came here on a coffee date with my husband. The building is beautiful with all the brick. They have 2 very large outdoor seating area and I look forward to returning when it is warmer to try it out. My husband got the caramel macchiato and loved it and I got a honey cinnamon oat latte. I'm looking for coffee shops to work out of during the week and came across this one so I stopped by. I ordered a peppermint tea with some fruit flavored syrups and the tea was actually very tasty for only $4. I went upstairs to the bar to set up my computers and after spending 15 minutes getting the wifi password right (the board is not very clear that the "s" is lowercase) I saw a gnat fly around my head. No biggie. Gnats happen. Then I saw a bug flying around so big it looked like a bee! It fell to the ground and I stomped it. Ok, bugs happen. But THEN I saw another one crawling right above my laptop. And another on the door. And another and it was clear this would be a distraction from my work so I packed up and left. I don't know how cool this place is normally, but my wife and I stopped in during the winter holiday season and the place was so cool! First, the place is a 100+ year old schoolhouse that is in great condition. Throughout the cafe are items that play on the school theme (like an employee office/closet labeled "principal's office" to deter visitors.) Second, there is a lot of holiday decorations that seem to fit perfectly with the rest of the decor for a very inviting setting. And in the warmer seasons, there is a two-story patio for enjoying the nice weather. Inside, there are coffees and teas, breakfast and lunch menu items available. Sure, the space is a little crowded during the cooler months, but on a Sunday afternoon, my wife and I were able to grab one of the last available 2-top tables on the first floor (there were still plenty of spaces left upstairs too!) We were greeted as we entered and having noticed the advertisements for hot holiday drinks, I passed on my usual black coffee and tried a tasty "Reindeer Tracks" beverage while my wife went with the "Frosty's Hot Cocoa." Both were really good, though I would advise stirring my choice before drinking so that the added flavors that float on top can be mixed more thoroughly/evenly throughout the drinking. Both hot drinks were served at a temperature that was immediately enjoyable! My wife, a former schoolteacher, fell in love with the setting and though she isn't anywhere near old enough to have taught in a single-room school, she really enjoyed the thought that the owners put into this place. They were having a free fitness class on the lawn when I arrived, looks like a cool perk they have going on there. The cafe itself is super cute, an old schoolhouse converted to a coffee shop. I love all the touches they've added, including the binders set out that tell the story of how the schoolhouse began and it's history. So cool! I was first introduced to this place on the local news recapping the renovation and future opening. Driving past it on our first wintry mix meant I had to stop in. The newest, cutest coffee shop in town! Built inside of an old schoolhouse, the name is incredibly fitting. By leaning into the schoolhouse theme, they've done a lot make this place feel brand new. all while keeping the classic schoolhouse look. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, from cozy chairs by the fireplace, to long tables with benches for groups, to seats on their beautiful two story outdoor patio. The second story indoors and outdoors isn't open yet, but it should be within the next two weeks according to the owner! Every single staff member was helpful and kind. Hailey was especially helpful in telling me about vegetarian and vegan options, as well as allergen friendly options (coconut, almond, soy, and oat milk, woo!). I got a vanilla oat milk latte and it was smooth and delicious! They sure know how to make a cup. Along with drinks, they also have bakery goods and a small breakfast sandwich and lunch menu. I got their coffee cake and that was delicious as well. They have a points system where every dollar you spend equals a point and there are rewards starting from 77 points and above. They host lots of community events and specials depending on the day of the week, mostly surrounding school schedules because they're positioned right next to a junior high. You can find these on their Facebook page. The music was playing quietly enough that it wasn't distracting and the noise level was average around midday. Their bathrooms are gender neutral, and the bathrooms and building are handicap accessible. They have free wifi and the password is on the chalkboard above the fireplace.
