If you buy a scooter from anywhere else you're going to get screwed I know because I did my homework they sell scooters for $1,000 cheaper than everyone else and the scooters that they sell are top line with the same type of dependability as Yamaha Honda or Kawasaki. Seeing a lot of crazy ass reviews on here, but honestly my experience was great! I crashed my scooter a couple weeks ago and needed some of the body replaced. If you don't have a Vespa or a Honda, your scooter is like a one-off so hard to find Chinese imported parts. They were able to get all the parts replaced for me and fixed on the day of. I struggled so hard to find a place that i towed my scooter all the way from San Diego to LA. I was given my invoice before arriving including labor time. They actually worked on it longer than quoted and i was still charged the same price. Still got it back same day! When i got home, i rode it around and it actually feels better than before i crashed. Quieter, no stalling, and they even fixed my trunk area that continuously popped up. The ONLY downside is that i was unaware that one of the pieces i thought i ordered didn't come, so they replaced my front fender with one that is slightly off color. Doesn't bother me much but wish i would have known that. Regardless, i am happy with the price, the service, and the fact that they helped me strap it back into my uhaul tightly before i drove home to San Diego to make sure i was safe. I bought a scooter from them in November 2020. To make a long story short. My brake lever had broken in half. So I went into the store asked for replacement the guy gave me one I went home put it on and realized it was the wrong one. I then went back to the store because he told me that he would replace it with the right one. Once I got there there was a lady who had no idea what I was talking about and the mechanic who searched for it but could not find the brake lever. She then told me she would check the warehouse for the brake lever to call back on a certain day. I called back she then tells me that she couldn't find it in her warehouse. I contacted the seller of the Macon brand of scooter I have and they told me that they only sell parts to scooter companies that sell scooters or their brand of scooter. The showroom is easy to get to in DTLA. Allen kindly told me about all of the different deals and types of scooters he carried. He wasn't pushy or high pressure at all. I already knew what scooter I wanted so I purchased that one. It took about an hour (after I paid and signed a few papers) to have them prep and test drive the scooter etc. Mark, the mechanic, met me in the back with the scooter and went through a detailed orientation of the scooter which I appreciated. He was super friendly and is an expert on all details of the scooter, and a cool dude too. I felt comfortable and welcomed from the moment I entered until I rode off on the scooter. I do not recommend! I bought a brand new scooter from this place with 0 miles and within the first 3 months 3 things on my scooter broke and needed to be replaced. I asked if my warranty would cover it and the lady asked me if I was doing deliveries with the scooter, I replied yes I am. She then told me that the warranty does not cover delivery miles and that is considered "wear and tear" and then told me my total would come out to 480$. That's half the price for another brand new scooter, why pay such an absurd amount of money just for it to brake again in another 2 months. The scooters are cheap straight from China and is not worth spending your money. Now I'm seeking other options to get my scooter fixed. I bought a scooter back in august 2020, last week my scooter broke down, I called this place to make an appointment for repair, I paid a tow truck to take my scooter there, days go by and I don't hear back, I called them and the lady on the phone says it will take weeks before they can even check my scooter for repairs...! What!? Weeks just to check what's wrong? Why did they give me an appointment on the first place? What kind of place is this!! she was rude and hanged up the phone on me. I had to pay another tow truck to bring it back so I can take it to a serious and reliable place to get fixed. Please be aware don't buy from this place, don't make the same mistake I did. They don't value you as a customer, and have no respect. They don't even know what they are doing, when I bought the scooter they registered the wrong scooter on my name and I even had to take care of that myself with the dmv, but that's a whole other story! I really love this place. The owner Allan really cares about the customers! I hadn't had a scooter before, and I had so many questions. I honestly felt like I was in great hands this whole time. He once face timed me when I had trouble at home and helped me trouble-shoot my battery not starting. Then he tried to charge the battery before I bought a new one. (PS Pro tip fellow newbies, start your scooter every couple days! Don't let it sit too long or the battery will die!) Mark, the mechanic, is really friendly and smart. He once messed up in a tune up and left a tube too long so air was only part of the time getting into my motor and it was stuttering. He fixed it immediately and apologized and explained what had happened. I just like these guys! I trust that they mean well, and when they mess up, they own up. Five stars! read more

My scooter squeaks, leaks oil, front left blinker fell off, loud random clicking sounds, speedometer and miles gage went out at 800 kilometers, and grinding sounds once i touch the throttle. Do not bother with these crooks! I saw an add for a bws 150 tao tao for $1150, so i decided to go to the store and get more info. It turns out that after taxes and fees my total cost was going to be more than $1500!. I could order this same scooter online with free shipping for less than $1000 and it will take me less than 1 hour to put it together. Apparently their hour rate its $75dls....what a joke! Also i asked if i was required to go to DMV and register for this scooter, their response was this " You do not have to, i have a friend who rides a similar scooter and has not registered the scooter for more than 6 months" later i found out that is illegal! read more

I was stepping down from a super street motorcycle and picked up a scooter from these guys. I thought it was going to be seriously lame riding this thing. To my surprise, I LOVE it! It gets great gas mileage and is genuinely fun to commute on (about 20 miles round trip). The shop was friendly and very helpful. They quoted me an out the door price and stuck to it. I had the scooter in about an hour and was zipping off down the street. On top of that, one of the wires came loose, I drove up a few weeks later, they with the utmost courtesy, fixed it that moment no charge. I can't recommend these guys for a scooter purchase high enough. They care about keeping your business and it shows. ...and if you are looking for a new scooter to get, I'm the proud owner of a PCC Ruckus clone, it's fun and can easily carry four bags of groceries (which my motorcycle could never do). read more

They give you a 30 day warranty on a BRAND NEW scooter, and don't take responsibility when every major component of the scooter breaks down and stops working IN LESS THAN 2 MONTHS! They'll charge you 3-4 times the amount for the items to be replaced, not including the labor cost. My carburetor and odometer stopped working and they tried to charge me $80 for BOTH pieces when they only cost $20. These crucial parts should NOT fail within 2 months of buying a BRAND NEW SCOOTER. Bought a Taotao bike from Scooter Importers on 3rd n DtLA late October. First there was a hole In the muffler was making a lot of noise so the mechanic put two screws in the muffler which quieted the problem but he did tell me I needed a new muffler. I asked could he weld the muffler he said he didn't have the equipment. I purchased a new muffler and had a Friend put it on. Fast fwd about a Month or two bike leaked some gas out the release valve due to the floater device in the carburetor. A friend fixed that for me. It leaks some gas out the release Valve again like maybe 3wks later. So I think let me just get a new carb and that will be that. Buy the new carb bring it to the mechanic at SI. He changes it out then when I come to pick the bike up, he tells me there was nothing wrong w the old carb. So I'm Thinking "why did u change it instead of calling saying hey this is working properly how do you wanna proceed" charged me full price for labor. My Bike broke down the next day. The mechanic did inform Me I need a new engine. Got the engine , called the dealer explained the situation about the carburetor and how he charged for something he didn't even have to do. And the guy I was on the phone with agreed that I could pay $150 for the replacement of the engine . Then when I came to pick up my bike the mechanic is still saying $190 lying saying he welded my Muffler when I just got that muffler put on . Like it's spanking brand new . This place is not the place you wanna buy any type of vehicle from I suggest you go elsewhere !!!! Seemed cool at first but they ain't $&@! read more

Last year I made the biggest MISTAKE of my life, I came here to purchase a scooter. I always try and give people the benefit of the doubt and a second chance. I bought the scooter brand new for 1,500 after three months of riding the brand new scooter. It starts sputtering trying to stay on at red lights and so on. So I take the scooter in for a diagnostic they tell me "it's no problem, sometimes this happens with our new scooters since they sit on the showroom floor for awhile" we talk things out and they give me a full tune up. At full price. For a mistake they made. Fast forward another 5 months now in April 2019. I come into the shop because the scooter has completely stopped working at 4,000 miles. Once I step in I speak to the mechanic a younger Latino male about the problem with the scooter. He points me to the new manager an Indian man (the KING OF SCAMS) so we can write up an invoice. He gives me this whole spiel about my scooter needing a new battery, new headlamp, gasket, and possibly a starter. I knew this was not the case. I explain to him I am not going to put up with them trying to scam me every time I go in and I also explained to him about the former manager and the problem I had with her. He tells me "I do not know who this person is that you speak of, but I am the boss now, so you have to deal with me now". (In that moment I should have walked away but it was the only shop open that day and I live ridiculously far to go back and forth). I give into it because of that. So after awhile of arguing he changes his attitude I leave my bike there. I pick it up and turns out it was just "headlight and a new battery" even though the battery was tested at auto zone for 100%. All I wanted was my scooter back so I just went along with the KING OF SCAMS word. Fast forward to July 2019. I come in because my headlights neck (the gooseneck) that is attached to the frame has broken. I take it to the shop only because it's their scooters and they know how to repair it. Or so I thought. This new mechanic (an older white male) asks what's going on. So I explain to him that it's broken. He tells me "no it's just the bolts that are loose" arguing that it's loose back and forth and he is willing to bet his life on it even though he has not taken a look and I tell him one more time it definitely seems broken but he keeps on insisting without looking it's just loose. Once he takes a look he says "oh yeah it is broken, go talk to the manager (KING OF SCAMS). I ask about the price. And already they try and rip me off. He says "I am not sure I am only the mechanic but if it were up to me I'd charge a whole lot more". I say nothing and walk into the shop. I speak to the KING OF SCAMS and he gives me a whole spiel again. This time about how he cannot give me a set price yet because they have to order the part and the labor and other problems might come up. Even though I never asked him for that I specifically said just the gooseneck. I explain to him that my scooter was not working 2 weeks after the time I brought it in April 2019. He starts getting defensive and hostile saying "it's been longer than April since you brought it in I can show you proof on the computer here" he browses through the computer. Only to find out he was wrong. Then he says I apologize you are right it was April now backpedaling and saying that sometimes these things happen and that's why he needs to take a further look. I got tired of his whole gimmick so I told him to let me out and that he would not steal money from me again. Keep in mind I never exceeded over 35 mph for the first 1000 miles because that's what they say on the pamphlet and the seller (which was a manager and she was awfully rude) Just be advised these are cheaply made scooters and they will break on you very fast. The attitude they give a customer is not worth it only to find out 3 months after purchase that it's a horrible scooter. This is my second Znen scooter. The first one was bought used. The person I bought it from told me not to go to the shop it was purchased. Scooter Importer. And to get my tune ups done at the other scooter store there in DTLA. Read the comments. this dealership demonstrated great qualities in reference to customer service and personal attention. i recently bought a scooter there and am very happy with the way gayla assisted me when i brought the scooter in for servicing. i purchased a 2021 amigo polo 150 scooter from her. the bike runs great. after about a month the muffler came loose. this was obviously not the dealerships fault. it was a mistake by the manufacturer. so when i called they immediately gave me an appointment to come in. they fixed it free of charge and were very accomodating. i had a knee injury and needed to sit down. there were no chairs available so they allowed me to sit in the back next to the service area. everyone that i dealt with at that dealership was helpful, kind and most important of all very profesional with kind smiles. much love to gayla and her daughter as well as chris and both joses! read more

WORST SCOOTER SHOP/REPAIR IN LOS ANGELES If your thinking of buying a moped/scooter or considering taking it in for repairs, avoid this place at all costs. The service is lousy, unreliable, and sub-par at best. If your lucky enough to get them on the phone, don't tell them what's wrong with your bike because if you do and it seems like alot of work for them, they'll tell you their busy until the following week. You'll never get any receipts for repairs, service, or maintenance and their warranty standards seem to change depending on who your talking with. One guy will say 1000 miles, another will say 2500, and of course only certain things are covered but never will they give you an actual warranty guide listing whats covered. The manager "DON" has an ego the size of Texas but in reality he thinks he's a big fish in a very small pond. I'll describe my experience with this company and you can decide whether they are worth your time and money. I bought a moped from them in January with 6 miles on it. The moped ran great! I brought it in at the 500 mile mark for a tune up which they did. I never received a receipt and of course 3 days in a row they gave me the "were busy today, try us tomorrow" line. I finally just brought it in and told one of the guys that a different guy said it was ok to bring in. After that, it got tuned up! About 1000 miles later, the bike started leaking oil and sounded like Harley with a loud exhaust. After constant run-a-round about being busy, I just brought it in and they guy told me the exhaust pipe underneath the bike detached and lead to the bike leaking oil. I left for a bit, came back, and the guy said he repaired it and everything was fine. I drove it for about 100 miles until the bike completely shut down while driving 45 on the street. After several failed attempts to start it, I had it towed to the Scooter Importer. They looked it over and told me the engine seized up from a lack of oil or faulty maintenance. I told him, DON, everything I've written above and about his man recently repairing the leak and he became extremely defensive. It apparently was MY FAULT for not bringing the bike in at 300 miles instead of 500 and for driving it too hard. I told him I barely take the bike over 45mph and that a 200 mile delay in a tune up wouldn't cause an entire engine to seize up. Plain and simply, his man didn't fix the problem the first time. He told me it was 450 bucks to repair and I didn't want to pay it. He then told me that they were refusing to work on the bike and to get it out of the shop ASAP or else they were going to charge me a storage fee. "YOU DON'T WANT TO GET CHARGED A STORAGE FEE DO YOU?" were his exact words. The bike's been in there a week and they still havent fixed a thing. I'm getting it towed to SCOOTER DYNASTY who's rated 5 stars by everyone. I'm also reporting SCOOTER IMPORTER to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU and to investigative reporters at every major news outlet. Called asking for hours, looking for a scooter buy that day with 3000 in hand. They said they close at 7pm, got there at 6:14pm and they were closed. This is why the economy is so bad; bad service. I bought one from a private seller instead. I told them that I am coming to purchase a scooter, not window shop.
