    Lone Star BBQ Burger
    Grace W.

We thoroughly enjoyed this counter service burger joint on a Sunday afternoon. The food was delicious, and it was quiet and conducive to conversation. The restrooms were clean and well stocked. The Lone Star BBQ burger, Greek salad, and the fried pickles were delicious. Our friend got the Irish nacho burger and LOVED it.

One of our favorite little spots before a hockey game! TheHatch Green Chile burger is perfect amount of crunchy and spicy. The fried pickles are fried to perfection and they have mastered the art of the sweet potato waffle fries! I should've gotten a video of the cheese pull from the grilled cheese because it was giving. The staff is super friendly, the restaurant is always clean and well stocked. Definitely give them a try!

    Mushroom & Swiss

A decent place for burgers. Ambiance is nice and it's counter service but you don't have to clear the tables. We got a mushroom & Swiss burger with fries as well as a fried chicken sandwich with onion rings. The onion rings are humongous! They taste fine but I personally like my onions rings on the smaller side. Portions are large. The fries were good and the burger was cooked well. Overall a good burger place.

Met some family members here for dinner. Chose this location for convenience. The food was ok but not even close to what it once was. There are much better options around these days.

My sister asked me to meet her here for lunch. The place was very busy, and a large group let us go in front of them. That was some nice Texas Hospitality. The Darby salad was delicious and big enough for two. Plenty of good veggies, the chicken was tender inside and charred on the outside. Sister got string onion rings with our salad. Had fun with Olympic Rings. Hahahaha Have to try a burger next time.

This chain offers well priced burgers and bar style food for a reasonable price especially given the portion sizes. Service was great, fast; efficient, and the staff were all very friendly. Scotty P's has a pleasant atmosphere that is an enjoyable hybrid between a classic diner and a bar, having been to both locations they're both well run and a good all around burger joint. 9/10, there is nothing making them stand out from the crowd but they're consistent and delicious.

    Fish'n chips.

This review is more about a recent addition to the menu. It is their fish and chips. I am a huge fan of fish and chips. So when I saw that they had added this for a period of time, I thought I needed to try it. The picture of the plated, fish and chips note very enticing. I like large fillets, perfectly battered and fried. However, what arrived at my home was significantly different than what was pictured. Not only were they not large fillets of fish they were more like fish fingers. So much stubby, not at all meaty and considerably smaller than the $15 price tag with suggest. I will say, that my family and I have been fans of Scotty P's since they opened here in Allen. I do not recall having a bad meal. From the Hatch Green chili burger to the 1967, it's all quite tasty. So to receive such a very disappointing, fish and chips meal... scratch that, make it a snack, that's quite surprising. I suspect I will stay on the beaten path, and only order the items I am sure of. PS - the coleslaw was about 1 1/2 spoonfuls, so barely worth the dirt in my mouth. And the dill tartar sauce, was less than appetizing.

For $20 my onion straws should be hot! Just to expensive for a burger a side & a drink. Sorry won't be back too pricey!

Burgers were ok, but they're very small for being 10 dollars and also a bit bland, they also look nothing like the ones pictured here. Bruh.

The food is definitely a step above what you'll find at most popular fast-food burger chains. While Hat Creek may not be trying to compete with gourmet burger restaurants, it delivers a quality product in a casual and family-friendly environment. One of Hat Creek's biggest strengths is its outdoor play area. The restaurant clearly caters to families with young children, and the play space gives parents a chance to relax while the kids burn off some energy. It's a feature that sets Hat Creek apart from many other burger restaurants. Overall, I get the sense that management genuinely wants to provide a good customer experience. My advice would be to continue investing in employees because great team members are what ultimately create the experience customers remember. Based on our recent visits, Hat Creek is doing a lot of things right, and we'll continue to stop by when we're in the mood for a good burger and a family-friendly atmosphere.

First, the teen put my combo in as a kid's meal. I asked why she gave me a kid's drink and argued with me that, that is how "the little hat comes." I told her no, it's a full combo and pointed to the wall. She backed out the order and put it back in without cheese. Then she asked if we wanted cheese on our cheese burgers. Told her yes, so she backed out the order again and forgot to take off the mustard on item 2 (despite repeating myself forbthe 3rd time). Fast forward, my chocolate shake has 1 pump of chocolate, is 3/4 full, and has no whip cream. The same teen fixes the cream, and I ask if this was right amount and mix level for a regular. The teen proceeded to argue with me, so I asked for a manager. The manager agreed that the shake was wrong and fixed it. Then comes our burgers, 1 has tomatoes on the burnt bread and a patty so dark it was hard. The other is drenched in mustard. Get the manager again. She calls over the kitchen manager. They take the order again- 1. cheese, lettuce & tomatoes 2. Cheese and lettuce. They do a very nice job on the re-cook, but burger 2 still has tomatoes and not lettuce. Show the kitchen manager the original receipt, and he takes the burger back, removes the tomatoes, and adds lettuce. This takes off 1/3 of the cheese. At this point, I gave up and just ate what was provided. I appreciate the managers trying to make the order right, but some of the staff definitely needs more training.

The menu continues to evolve, which is good. Although this last visit both my husband and I noticed the menu is becoming very similar to Cheesecake Factory. By that I mean, they are adding more pages, more loose menu pages with options and their menu items are going into realms that seem very off brand (raw ahi tuna plates, shwarma salad, bao buns, etc). Lazy Dog has always been associated with a diverse beer selection, a down home (almost) southern like food menu. A more elevated and sophisticated Cracker Barrell if you will. This detour from the 'norm' gave us both pause - could the food actually be good? While my hubby and kids stuck to their regular options (crispy deviled eggs, buffalo chicken bites, kids menu) I chose to try the Chili Crunch Ahi Tuna - sashimi grade seared rare tuna, furikake-seasoned rice, edamame, avocado, marinated cucumbers, pickled ginger, spicy garlic crunch, citrus soy dipping sauce and it was DELICIOUS!!! I enjoyed every bite of my meal and would absolutely order it again. I definitely think Lazy Dog is making a run for being competition to Cheesecake Factory when it comes to their menu. Their desserts however have a LOOOOONG way to go. The Campfire Cookies were awful!! Stale, cooked firm, every bite had so many white chips it was overwhelming, there was barely any chocolate, the drizzle soaked into the stale cookies and was tasteless. I have a hard time saying no to any cookie, but could easily say no to these every time. I will actually look forward to trying Lazy Dog again now that they have other healthier options to choose from.

We expected service to take a little longer because of how busy it was, but Dustin made sure that we received amazing service! He continued to check on us to make sure we were well hydrated in whatever beverage of our choosing while we waited for our food orders. The food all came out hot and fresh. My husband and I chose the Armor signature burger and I decided to have a side of chili instead of fries and man was that filling! The chili had big chunks of beef in there and didn't have any beans. The cornbread was very moist and delicious with a little kick from the jalapeño. The burger was also very tender. My kids really enjoyed the Milwaukee pretzels because of how soft it was. It had the perfect mixture of sweet and salty and was very fluffy for a pretzel. Overall, I truly enjoyed coming here with my family for the food and great selection of beer.
