We arrive right around noon. It was not busy at all at that point. We ordered rotisserie chicken. We sat down and waited a full 15 to 20 minutes for rotisserie chicken. I don't understand why it would take that long to get something that really only requires cutting it off and putting it on a plate, so for that reason I am rating this place with a three. The rotisserie chicken was delicious, my only concern is that it was sweet and I am assuming that it was infused with some type Of sugary substance. I have been to Scratch several times since it has opened but I waited to do a review. I wanted to see if the food was consistent especially the Fried Chicken. I am very happy to report this place is the real deal and has some of the best fried chicken in town. My favorite and only choice is the double fried buttermilk ranch chicken. The chicken is super crispy on the outside and hot and juicy on the inside. It is clear they change the oil because my chicken is a light golden brown. I hear the wet sauces are great but I like to stick with my favorite. The donuts are also amazing. They are not overly sweet but have a light fluffy middle. This place is amazing and is my new favorite place in town. I live right around the corner from this place and have to use a lot of restraint not to stop there every day. read more

Ordered the Sriracha Honey Chicken sandwich on doughnut bun. This was very good with tons of flavor but it took almost 40 minutes to get. Also, I ordered the Caramel Macchiato doughnut and it was terrible (and I am not exaggerating). The doughnut itself was dry and completely lacking any flavor. They also had free samples of their coffee doughnuts and they were also terrible. The only good part was the drizzle on top. The attitudes aren't worth it. They have this strange rude disposition for anyone that challenges them, want to switch out sides or orders a drink over the phone. Please don't order a drink over the phone because they will not have it on the receipt at pickup & you end up paying for a drink anyhow because they have the price on the receipt without listing the drink item. When you let them know they question every employee on site. Also, I thinking it's pretty weird that you can't substitute sides or chicken pieces. For example, 3 wings only comes with the waffle. I'm allergic to waffles, asked could I get it with fries instead they made a huge scene behind it only to say no or that I could pay $16 for 3 wings. Absurd! I used to go Scratch every other week. The first time, I went to the restaurant. The food was good. I referred friends and family. However, I will never go back or refer anyone else. A few weeks ago, I spent $36. The chicken was very salty. Immediately, I called back to the establishment and I informed his cashier of the problem. She said, there was nothing. She could do. She told me to send the owner an email. Are you serious? It is 2020, you cannot offer a refund, offer to replace food or give store credit. This is my new favorite place for breakfast or lunch. On our first visit we ordered the Californian sandwich. It's a fresh fried boneless chicken breast with lettuce, tomato and avocado on a glazed donut. My husband and I were both obsessed with the sweet, salty, crunchy deliciousness of this sandwich. We also had the white meat chicken which is a wing and a breast. I chose the southern ranch dry seasoning along with the double coated batter on the chicken. The breast meat was cooked to perfection and very juicy. The batter was light and crunchy, and the chicken was the juiciest I have ever eaten. It came with a small side of coleslaw. The young man who does it all..(he takes your order, brings your food, tops off your drink and clears your table) is outstanding, and super nice.
