I was staying nearby and was looking for somewhere close by to grab a quick coffee and something to eat. Scullery popped up as being close by so I decided to give it a try. The coffee shop is decorated really cute and is very clean and welcoming. The staff is friendly and outgoing and very easy to talk to. There isn't a lot of seating but enough that you could sit for a while and still enjoy your time here. I decided to try the Welsh Rarebit based on how delicious it looked in the photos I saw of it. I added ham to mine for a few extra dollars. And I also tried the burnt caramel latte, iced. First off WOW. The Welsh Rarebit is out of this world. The toast is thick and hearty, and the crispness of the melted aged cheddar on top is so good. This was definitely one of the best things I had my whole time in San Francisco. The burnt caramel latte was good as well. It wasn't anything to rave about but for an iced latte it was good. I love the unique food options they have and the service was quick. I love this place. The coffee is really good and the toast is to die for. I like the unique coffee drinks they come up with. Right now the cardamom rose latte is my favorite. Been only twice, both times before working/during rainy days. I enjoy the ambiance. I will say the area is a bit sketch but hey, I felt comfortable enough to drop in and draw for a but. I probably wouldn't bring a bike or park my car, but if I'm on foot, it's got a great atmosphere. The guy (shaved head/glasses) feeds dogs and it's fun to see. Not sure if he runs or leads it often but he's been there both times I've been. Might just be me but if you're not going to go, I feel you get more bang for your buck as the yellow cups are huge. The first time I went, the coffee was good. The second time was trying the pistachio latte, I'm pretty sure it was either monthly or seasonal but I'd love to try it again when it rolls back to that flavor. read more

Perfectly acceptable latte although I was expecting a bigger cup. The coffee shop is tiny with limited seating and a couple of benches outside. The area is fine if you're ok with the Tenderloin but steer clear if you're easily offended by the colorful characters and poopy streets. Knocking off a couple of stars because service was not the friendliest from the gentleman with the glasses. They are very dog friendly and even go the extra mile by feeding cold cuts to visiting pups. I found this to be strange for a food establishment. Surely a health code violation but SF does have more dogs than kids so I guess they have to keep their customers happy. read more

This place is only recently on my radar. I was looking for "toasts" - This place popped up with good reviews and is not in the scuzzy part of the Tenderloin. When I did my deeper dive on this place, this Yorkie pudding popped up in the photos. MAN, it looked right up my alley. I got there around 11:30 on a Sunday, no line and a couple of spots to sit outside and watch the circus of Tenderloin players. The guy warned me that the Yorkie takes a bit to cook and is not a toast...I was fully vested and said to rock on with the preparation. I went to the deli next door to grab a soda as I don't drink coffee. About 15 or so minutes later I was up. It arrived piping hot and with a glorious crispy/chewy, cheesy salty crust...This thing was unlike anything I have everhad before, it included flacid (non-crisp) bacon (which sounds bad, but it was more like a hammy element, and really worked undercooked). The only thing that might have made it better would have been if the egg inside were runny, BUT, that would have been less cook time, and the way the cheesy top was broiled, was necessary perfection - so any less time for the egg, would have been less time for the top. The right call was made, that top crust..whoa! I'm a gal that can eat, but I would have liked to have had a friend to maybe split the Yorkie and a sweet toast, the yorkie was pretty rich for my delicate belly. I have a couple of friends who are going to have to try this when they are in town! read more

I'll forever have a very fond memory of this little spot. While dropping off my partner nearby at their work, she told me she had a food spot to take me to that is tiny but delicious. Which in hindsight is a perfect way to describe the Scullery. The avocado toast was perfect. The bread is special and not your everyday toast. I make my own sourdough at home. I enjoy original different breads. Their toast was thick, substantial, and delicous. I love the thin sliced perfectly placed, and generous portion of avocado. I love they offer quality coffee options. I enjoyed a cappuccino and my GF enjoyed a plant based vanilla latte. Lastly I tried the pesto egg add ham toast which was also delicious. The owners recognized my GF which is always a nice touch when proprietors notice their frequent customers. We entered with a hello, and left with a "have a great day". Friendly service, great food, great coffee, great company. I couldn't have had a better start to my morning. read more

DISAPPOINTING review not because of the for quality and coffee but rather posted business hours and service. I was there couple weeks ago to get some coffee before closing. I was told by the barista that the machine has been cleaned and could not make any orders since they are in the process of closing. My absolute favorite items to get from scullery are their chai latte which is packed with flavor and spice in every sip. My favorite food items to get are their lox egg toast or avocado toast. Both are packed to the brim with toppings and are decadent and delicious. The bread used is very thick and packed with nutritious seeds and the lox and avocado are always fresh! Scullery was one of my favorites coffee shops in SF. I was especially fond of their Iced Vietnamese Coffee, which I would have multiple times a week. However, the quality of drinks has unfortunately diminished over the past few months. Even their specialty drinks are now only just okay at best. Parking can be challenging in this area of town, especially as parking enforcement is so active. I recommend parking in a paid meter or Nob Hill and walking down.
