I'll admit the chicken and waffles I had were nothing special, but it still tasted pretty good. Above all, the ambiance of this place is super nice and fancy looking. As I said, we came for brunch, so it wasn't too busy, but I imagine it would be pretty popular for dinner based off the aesthetic alone. The service and pricing were also decent as well. We came here to celebrate my friend's birthday on a Girl's Night Out and our experience was lack luster due to the long waits for food and difficulties with service. The establishment itself is beautiful. I loved the upscale, grandiose set up. However, our server seemed to be new and frequently left us waiting. Every time she told us she would be back to take our order, or check on us, it would take a tad too long. It was also notable that she wasn't too familiar with the menu items. As of July 20, 2024, the entertainment (dancers, performers, etc.) is not available. At least the food was good, we enjoyed most of the dishes. We ended up ordering the Pollo Dumplings, Mushroom & Truffle Risotto, and Chipotle Lamb Lollipops for our Appetizers. The Mushroom & Truffle Risotto is to DIE for, it was super flavorful and a favorite amongst our table. The portion was generous enough to be considered an entrée. The Lamb Lollipops were okay. They weren't bad, but I personally thought they could've used more flavor. We never got our Pollo Dumplings and ended up cancelling the order. For our entrees, We ordered the Filet Mignon, Potato Crusted Chilean Sea Bass, and the Oven Roasted Warm Lobster Tail. Everything was great. I had the Chilean Sea Bass and really enjoyed the flakey, crispy crust. The only downside was that we had to wait so long to get our food. Our server was no where to be seen for most of the night. We had to flag down the food runners or other servers to be able to find her. Halfway through the meal, we ordered water and waited about 20 minutes to have a bottle delivered to our table. The bartender came to the table with water, spotted the empty bottle in the ice bucket and walked off without giving us the new water bottle or giving us a chance to speak. We then had to flag down another server, wait another 20 minutes for water, totaling 40 minutes for a water refill. Our server did apologize at the end of the evening, acknowledging her inexperience and the challenges posed by busy parties. A friend of mine had her birthday dinner here. It's confusing on how to get to the restaurant once on Kirby. It's located in the same building structure as Pinstripes and A Ma Maniére. There is street parking behind the building but limited as it is a residential street. The garage parking or valet was the best option this night. You insert your debit or credit card which takes the place of a parking ticket to access the garage. Once you park you walk to an elevator that puts you in front of a luxury apartment foyer and parking. You take a left and walk down until you reach valet. Walk past valet and enter the glass doors where you take the elevator to Se7en restaurant. We were greeted with a smile as we confirmed our 7pm reservation. The ambiance and aesthetic were really elegant and intimate. Our waitress was very kind as well. The menu is small, but had great options. The value of the food and drinks are pricey. We had the pulpo as an appetizer. It was very good. My friends enjoyed their cocktails. It was the right amount of liquor and flavor for them. For our entrée we had the Filet Mignon and the Chipotle Lamb Chops. Each dish was flavorful and fulfilling. We inquired about ordering the early bird menu pasta for dinner and were told no via the chef. So if you have a taste for a particular dish if it is outside of the serving time no exceptions can be made. We asked before ordering do they offer a birthday dessert. We assumed it was free but was charged. As the night went on the venue was full, but they had plenty of seating for indoor and outdoor guest. Our overall bill was $338 for a party of three people. Itemized bill one appetizer, three cocktails, three entrées, two desserts, automatic gratuity of $48 and an automatic service fee of $5 plus tax. I would recommend this restaurant for any special occasion, but expect a large bill once done. I rated the establishment 4 stars because of the mess ups we received during our visit. We were brought the wrong meal items twice due to a misunderstanding on the waitresses part and had to wait longer for the correct dish. They have their own parking garage and valet which is convenient and super cute patio deck area. Great vibes there even though it was empty, (I think they just opened.) We had Alexandria as our waitress and she was cool and had good energy. We let her know we were dining for our anniversary and she took good care of us. I took a star away because we booked because we wanted a little entertainment and we were informed that they no longer had performers. Either way the inside was nice and the tables weren't too close together so we still had a nice view of the bar and the vibe of the restaurant. We had a shot of 1942 and they served it in a cute mini glass, and it was chilled perfectly. We both had a cocktail and they both tasted good and had a nice punch. We tried the empanadas. They tasted pretty good but we thought they came with 4 but we were served 3. My husband kept playfully making jokes about the missing empanada and Alexandria magically gave us 1 more. We had a later reservation because the restaurant had a networking event so we really didn't get sat/served until an hour past. The bar was pretty crowded so we had to wait about 10 mins before someone was able to get to us. We ordered some raspberry lemon drops with tequila instead of vodka and they were worth the wait. So...I was excited to try this place. I went with a group of goodies so we were ready! Upon entry the host was a pure delight! He said I looked incredible and told me he wanted to take a photo shoot of me. You think I said no? Lol! So he charismatically went to my table and told them to hold on because he was going to take pictures of me lol. He proceeds to actually take professional looking pictures from my phone outside. He was all about angles and creating the moment. I was so so blown away. The pictures were so good I used them as my social media profile pictures! A few Yelpers and I decided to stop by Se7en on a Tuesday evening during restaurant weeks. I was surprised that we were one of only two parties in there but I chucked it up to the fact that it was a Tuesday. I ordered a lemon drop and hesitated on if I'd get something to eat, but, I decided to take advantage of the restaurant weeks price. I went with the octopus, sea bass and for dessert, the one I wanted wasn't available so I opted out. As we waited and chatted, one of the owners came by our table, introduced himself and gave us an overview of the restaurant's concept. He even had the kitchen prepare us his favorite appetizer on the house. The octopus was good, but the sea bass was so fishy that I took it home and tossed it out. The smell made me so nauseous. Sad to say that I had higher hopes for this restaurant but it fell short. I'll give it another try on a more popular night so get the "nightlife" feel. I had quite a few of the beef kebabs and they were tender. My friend had the grilled octopus. She said it was cooked perfectly. Not chewy. And it came with potatoes a couple different ways (mashed and roasted). It is on the appetizer menu but filled her up. I had the sea bass entree and I was thoroughly pleased with the fish. Sea bass is already a light flaky fish. It is so easy to overcook and it was perfect. It came with ginger rice and bok choy. The ginger was light and not overpowering the lemongrass in the rice. This dish definitely 10/10!!!! The Seven Sidecar was good. I love a good sidecar. I would have put just a dash more grand marnier in it. Came for dinner service with a large group for a friend's birthday. Club/Restaurant atmosphere giving off a Vegas vibe. There's a live DJ and the music definitely got louder and louder as the night went on. Dancers came out later and even moved around the room from table to table, creating a very lively environment. I ordered the Chef's 3 course which is available Monday-Thursday. Se7en is located on the second floor, so you take the elevators up. Valet parking is available. What a night! The newest club restaurant off Kirby was LIT. Blue velvet seating, chandeliers, cabaret/burlesque dancers, a wide range of music with a DJ, and an accompaniment of a trumpet, bongo drums, and an electric guitar was all the vibes. A friend of ours knew someone important who had invited a group of friends from the rodeo the night before, plus us 5 ladies. I think they're building engineers and such. The music was so loud, I could barely hear the person speaking next to me without getting all up in their space. Lol. I did say bye to the mystery man before I left, so that should count. I've never had Dom Perignon champagne and probably never will, so I was glad to try it. It was tart, bubbly, and not too dry. I liked it. What I loved most was the glowing text on the label. I'd save the bottle just because. We opted to order cocktails and appetizers at Bloom & Bee, so we could eat here for dinner. The food was delicious. The salad looked fresh, but I didn't try it. I had the prime beef kebabs which was an appetizer. It had sautéed red onions and parsley. The meat was tender and flavorful. It was great dipped in the hummus we ordered. There are 3 stalls in the women's restroom. The soap and paper towel dispensers were automatic but not the toilets or sink. All of it needs to be automatic, and the space needed to be bigger and more elegant to match the rest of the restaurant's ambiance. The restaurant was freezing, and we were seated right where the AC vents were. It was cold outside, too. We kept asking them to turn it off, which they did, but someone turned it on again. On the second floor, this beautiful restaurant is dark and sexy. They offer indoor and terrace seating. Hookah and cigar fun happens on the terrace, too. The drinks are beautifully presented. Kathya was our server (for the second time which was cool). Her service is timely and impeccable. I am currently expecting, and she brought out a complimentary dessert (the bread pudding) with CONGRATULATIONS written on the plate, which was very thoughtful. She even put a blue candle in the dessert, as I am having a boy. That was a very nice surprise. We ordered lemonade which was good, and this time I ordered a mocktail which came with a neat presentation . I believe a few of their drinks come with a show, which is cool. The food in general is very lite weight, yet tasty. We ordered the kabobs, pollo dumplings, lamb chops, greek and Caesar salad, and bread pudding for dessert. The restaurant is clean, music is not too loud or unfitting...honestly just a nice place overall. I think my only true complaints is the women's bathroom... it doesnt really match the restaurant... but it was clean. And, I noticed its $10.00 per lemonade. That's...interesting. This was my first experience at Se7en, and it was pretty good. I appreciate Se7en having a lot of open seating for a last-minute reservation. Se7en has 7 specialty cocktails that are inspired by the 7 deadly sins. I had the Greed cocktail which was basically a Paloma. It was pretty good and refreshing. I have to give it a 7/10. For food, we started with the chargrilled oysters, which were okay but they didn't seem chargrilled. Nonetheless, they were seasoned very well. I would rate them a 7/10 as well. As an entree, I had the Waygu burger and it was delicious! I had the wagyu cooked medium well, but next time I would order it medium or medium rare. It also comes with a fried egg, but I should've ordered it with an over-easy. The burger came with fries but I substituted them for truffle fries which were also delicious. In total, I would rate my entree an 8/10. For dessert, I had the espresso martini which I give a 7/10, and had the bread pudding. The bread pudding seemed kind of burnt on top but nice in the middle. Okay, move over Ciel. We really enjoyed Seven! A group of friends and I went out for HRW. We had a great server. Her name is Florence. You should totally ask for her. Even in sitting down we were treated so kindly. However, something weird is going on with the number of menus they have at the restaurant but I'm sure that's a quick fix. Wrong location. Horrific execution. You are embarrassingly out of your depth. How much more cash are you going to burn in this pit? I get that you're 'pot committed' and too stubborn to fold, but the writing's on the wall. What's next? Slapping on a 40% service charge to bleed the last few customers dry? The place is so beautiful and location is great. That's where the positives end. We had a dreadful experience on a Wednesday evening with less than 10 tables full the whole time we were there. The menu is small and extremely overpriced. Portions are very small. We had the Greek salad that consisted of a few tomato slices, some feta chunks and micro green garnish. We asked for lettuce to provide some substance and the chef "approved" the request. Food came out randomly with one person served well ahead of others and entrees being served before salads. This past weekend this restaurant had a Miami Vice themed party. I had already tried this place previously but never for brunch. A group of us decided to go and it was amazing!! They have the seven deadly sins as a theme for their signature cocktails. And they are so good I got "Greed" it was really good. Also if you love lemon drops they make a great one here! The service was excellent and the food was good. This is definitely a date night place for couples, or a girls night out. I highly recommend checking it out. read more

More of a 3.5 stars. Service, drinks, and food were fine but there was no entertainment other than standard music on Tuesday. Se7en is located on the 2nd floor in the same building as Pinstripes. There's $10 valet or garage parking. If you valet take the elevator to 2R. If you park on the second floor, take the elevator to 2R so it opens to the hostess stand for Se7en. The restaurant itself is sleek and chic. Our server was personable and attentive. Food was overall good. The octopus was a slightly over cooked and, personally, the torched salmon roll had too much rice. Kind of hard to gracefully eat it in one bite. The shish kebab was perfectly cooked and fries were crispy and hot. The restaurant wasn't packed so we were able to enjoy our bottle of rosé and chat without feeling rushed after we completed our meal. Per the website Se7en is "Houston's first true entertainment restaurant/dramatic entertainment." I wished it was indicated somewhere on the website which days they actually have that because without it, it's just falls into any other regular restaurant in the sea of new openings in Houston. read more

I couldn't decide between 2 and 3 stars, so I'll give Se7en the benefit here. The restaurant is beautiful--in a flashy, club-y kind of manner--and it's great people watching. But it's ridiculously expensive and, in my opinion, more style over substance. We paid $57 for two cocktails at the bar--the drinks were good, but not that good. My cocktail contained prosecco, and I saw the bartender pouring La Marca prosecco into my glass as he prepared the cocktail. Don't get me wrong--I like La Marca and use it often (particularly for mimosas!), but I was just surprised that they only used a $12 bottle of wine for a cocktail that cost almost $30. Anyhow, if you want a club dining and drinking experience with fun people watching, this is the place to go. But if you're more about the food/drinks themselves than the experience, you might look elsewhere. Just my two cents, each to his/her own! read more

One of the nicest and romantic, yet hyped places centrally located on Kirby. From the outside to the inside, the owners went all out on decor. Beautifully designed coupled with great staff. Please ask for Esay (E-say) when you stop by. He is the server on weekdays and bartender on Friday/Saturday. Now, the menu was refined with simplicity, not overwhelming with choices. Came here on a Thursday evening for dinner and it was empty. Should have been the first sign it was not good. Tried lobster raviolis, flounder, pork chop, empanadas, red velvet, and tiramisu. Everything was bland with no flavor. I would give it 2/10. Only giving it THAT high because it was plated pretty. Taste was 1/10. Bill came out and I noticed a "venue fee" and "service fee of 20%" automatically on the bill and it was just 2 of us! Not even a big party. I normally tip 20% but when it's automatically added for 2 people I get annoyed. I asked the waitress if they always add 20% and she said it was 18% but recently they increased it to 20%. Uhm really? So they can increase that for no reason and no where did it state - automatic gratuity? And venue fee for what? It was empty and only 3 other tables total for dinner time. Interesting that "guest count - 6" on receipt and 20% was automatically added for 2 people. SO SHADY! I even asked about it! This place is such a rip off altogether. On top of that, you have to pay to park in the garage. Basically paid $45 total- $35 in fees/taxes and $10 for parking for bland food. Would not recommend to anyone. DO NOT COME HERE. read more

Se7en was amazing, I went for my birthday and we had such a good time! The food was expensive but worth it ! My server got everything I wanted and gave us free Mac &' cheese and it was delicious!!! I put my experience on instagram and TikTok !! That's how good it was !! It was a beautiful place ! I took pictures and again service was amazing I'd go back anytime ! I love the steak ! Went with a group of 8 girlfriends. We had a great time. Cons: But it was HOT inside. The ac was out and the server told us it was like that the night before. They should of had fans or let people know before coming. I'm talking about everyone was dripping in sweat and it's 100 degrees outside... the drinks at the bar were way more expensive the ones at the dinner table. Bar drinks were $20-25. At the table they were all $14.... They have parking garage or valet. You use the elevators to enter the restaurant on the second floor. (2R) so if you park on 2, still go through the elevator. Pro: Our food was amazing! This was the highlight. The prime steak and sea bass were soooo delicious. They did not have the brownie dessert that we all wanted to try though. Dancers were great! And they do enjoy tips!! They have arm bands to stick the cash tips and their waste bands. We were the only table tipping them and they were very appreciative. Bring cash for them! read more

First things first, this place is gorgeous! It's giving Vegas with a splash of Miami, vibes. They have dancers, a DJ [he only played house music ], sparklers (the safe kind that won't burn your hair) Everything is chic & unique, & well thought out...even the layout is nice. No matter where you're seated you can see the action. Great photo ops, they even have a patio with a flower wall; it's beautiful. The drink names caught my attention & piqued my interest, as if a $26 cocktail didn't do that already. Nonetheless, the drink was delish, and the presentation was on point. Now the food...eeeeh, leaves a lot to be desired. The menu wasn't giving what I needed this place to give. Not many options, so don't come hungry. Second time here, the restaurant looks very nice and I was very impressed with the food the first time. This time my food was NOT COOKED. I ordered the organic chicken and it was served UNDERCOOK. The waiter just say he was sorry, didn't offered to replaced the dish and NO management showed up at the table to apologize for the inconvenience. it's such a disappointment that a beautiful place like this it's not consistent with their food. read more
