Was OC for the first time for a wedding last weekend and who knew Cancun existed in Maryland?! Great bar, live music and dancing on the water. Made me think of Papas & Beer, Senior Frogs and Carlos & Charlie's down in Mexico. Definitely and must do while in Ocean City. Crowd ranged from 21-81 and it worked! Everyone mixed well and seemed to be having a great time. Dance floors were packed. Service was fantastic with plenty of bars, strong drinks and above average bar food. Live music was AWESOME! Talented vocals, musicians and overall impressive production on the main stage. Would go back to OC just to hit this bar. I was there in the off season and it was packed so I can't imagine how packed Secrets gets in high season! FYI- there's extensive security screening with metal detectors and bag checks but no one seemed to mind and it's probably a good idea. There's also a cover charge so the line does move slow but it's worth the wait. There's also no shortage of taxis out front which is great! For good reason there's plenty of cops on the streets in the area. DUI is not worth it! Enjoy and take a taxi or uber! read more

I've eaten here several times before and was told this time that I couldn't even just eat there under 21 without an "adult". The lady on the phone hung up on me mid conversation. We have been frequent customers of Seacrets for many years and like countless others it is one of our favorite places to go in Ocean City. We visit the island frequently especially during the off season. Each time we come to Ocean City, we love going to Seacrets. We were excited to bring along another couple for their first trip to your establishment this weekend. We have always enjoyed lunch and dinner at Seacrets despite the busy party scene happening in the bay and at the bars. We have admired that families could come in and have lunch while young people enjoy the bars and music all around us. This trip, however, proved to us that in the future, we will not return to Seacrets during the busy summer season. Sadly, our visit was simply terrible. We were sat at a back room table in a blisteringly hot room. Just about every table in the area sat waiting endlessly for service. There appeared to be one very overwhelmed server responsible for the entire large room. While we sat unacknowledged, in an understaffed, overcrowded room, we looked out at two open tables outside along the water. As we watched from our table, we observed happy groups, laughing, and talking while pleasant hard working servers attended to them readily. When our server finally arrived after about 15 minutes, he was downright hostile. When we expressed our disappointment in waiting so long, he became combative even though our complaints were polite and appropriate. He was clear with us that he was extremely busy and felt compelled to use several expletives to express his frustration to us. His hostility continued for the entire brief lunch. We did not receive utensils, or plates until a food runner noticed and brought them to us. We basically had to beg for water and when the water arrived, we were given three cups for a party of four. The server commented that he only brought three and never returned with the fourth. We had arrived intending to enjoy lunch and a few drinks but each person in our party had one drink and quite honestly could not wait to leave. We all agreed that we wished we had walked a few blocks down and enjoyed lunch at Mackey's instead. While Seacrets is clearly a remarkable success that will not at all be affected by our displeasure, it is still important that all guests, even those just seeking to enjoy lunch or dinner, be treated well or at a minimum with some degree of civility. Our entire party questioned why they offer lunch and/or dinner if they are clearly only focused on or overwhelmed by the business garnered from the party scene. read more

The staff is clueless. My mother badly cut her toe in the pool at Secrets and the lifeguard had no clue what to do. I ended up taking his first aid kit and helping her because all he could say was - "looks like it's bleeding." When I walked by 4 hours later, I noticed that they never cleaned the sidewalk and the blood was still there. Nobody seemed to care that she injured herself on hotel property. read more

Yikes!!! Save yourself the over rated picturesque vision of watching the sunset here and find another place like Fagers Island or coconuts in ocean city. Food=thumbs downs Service=four thumbs down if I had it. View is nice but nothing other than a view from any other restaurant on the strip. If your 25 and under and want some drunk mosh pit, then that's for you and best of luck on getting in. I saw 10 young people get turned away for some made up reason or another by the absolutely unimpressive "security"...emphasis on the quotes. "Security" is nothing more than some ex high school football hillbillies that needed a job. The highlight of the night was watching a pretty girl get escorted to a taxi because she got elbowed in the nose and was bleeding. This place has so much potential... there are a few reasons why I took off two stars. First of all, we didn't see anywhere online that says it's a $7 cash only cover charge at the door. The ocean table sets you see in the water are an awesome concept! They're bayside so the waves are minimal. Be careful to not drop anything in the water and bring water proof shoes! What you don't see in the online photos are the trash and junk floating in the water along with the very rusted tables and stools. I completely get that they're all sitting in salt water but some sort of maintenance must be done for these. The whole time we walked around the vibe was just a bit strange. We felt out of place. We were able to have dinner under the palm trees (30-45 min wait for a seat) but it was definitely worth the wait. The food tasted good. The one thing we missed was the upstairs club, I recommend checking it out. Overall, we may go back in the future but hoping that some of the items I mention will be updated/ taken care of by then. read more

What is usually a great experience turned to distain while dining at Seacrets this evening. While at the high top seating by the beach bar tonight, we were served by a brunette named Rachel. Seacrets is understandably busy but our waitress was inattentive and rude to her guests. She mistook an order and then was very confrontational when asked what had happened. She used foul language and made quite a scene. We are yearly patrons that will have to rethink our attendance while back on island. read more

Seacrets is a great place for lunch, dinner, or just to hang out with friends. There are water tables (adults only) or Seacrets rafts (adults only) for use during the day, inside or outside dining areas (we prefer the outside under the big palm trees!), night club with great DJ's and bands, and several bars throughout the facility. Try their Pain in the AXX - it's a great frozen drink with pina colada and strawberry daquiri. My personal favorite is the "J" - different kinds of rum with fruit juice. This place makes you feel like you are on an island somewhere in the caribbean (without the airfare!). The staff is wonderful, food is good, and the atmosphere, well it makes this place. Note, this place gets very busy in the summer months and on special occasions (ie lunasea), but definitely worth the visit. read more

We went there for dinner and we were going to see a cover band after but the meal for 3 people would have been about $90 including the tip. They brought out the meal it looked like we were at a drinking party at a friends house on a paper plate. But here it is: So I just got back from a weeklong stay in ocean city, and me and my three friends went to Seacrets just about every night. This was our first summer being 21 in ocean city and we had heard all the hype about Seacrets and knew we wanted to check it out. WOW. What an amazing place. If you're looking for a great time, one that you'll never forget, go to Seacrets. This place has so many different people and such a great atmosphere. There are great views of the bay at night and the scenery is awesome. The perfect combination of drinking, dancing and interacting with such a wide range of people. You never know who you're going to meet at this place. We met so many people and made such great memories that we'll never forget. My friends and I had such great nights here and were so bummed when it was time to leave oc. Definitely the highlight of my trip. Definitely will be back here next summer and I can.. not.. wait.. This is a over priced tourist spot. Usually crowded with loud drunk people. It smells like urine and vomit which isn't what you look for when you are eating. People pay high prices for the palm trees and fake atmosphere but the food and drinks are subpar. The service is awful. If you want to go to Jamaica, go to Jamaica. If you want to be in Ocean City and enjoy really good quality food and drinks, then don't go to Seacrets. There are many really good quality places in Ocean City if you want a high quality meal. Such a fun, beachy atmosphere! Food was good, drinks were great! Had fish tacos, jerk chicken and crab dip. All we're good. Frozen drinks were excellent! The option to sit with your feet in the water or on a float make this place extra special though it was disappointing that we couldn't sit with our feet in the water with the kids even at lunchtime. Probably one of the worst places I've ever been. No one seems to know how to tell customers how to get to the seating area. They just make you pay up front and go about your business. Really fun when all of the drunk folk are tripping all over you and causing problems and no one does anything. Menu isn't too great either, but I guess that doesn't matter when your wasted. My wife and I spent the weekend in O.C. and decided to check out Secrets, since we haven't stopped in in a few years. To my surprise the place had gone down hill quite rapidly. Your charged an $8.00 cover to eat dinner. (very bad idea for diners) I was told by the girl at the door the cover is because quote "we have 4 DJ's and 3 bands" I asked what does that have to do with dinner? She looked at my with a confused dumb look. So I payed the cover and we were escorted to a table. After 30 minutes of just sitting with no one coming over I stopped the waitress. She apologized so we were brought out drinks it took about 15 more minutes to get them. We ordered an appetizer that took another 25 minutes. The waitress was apologized again. We finally ordered out meal over an hour after sitting down. We mad the best of a bad situation our dinner arrived some 35 to 40 minuted later and was luke warm and at best very mediocre to poor. So in my opinion "secrets" was much a better establishment 4 to 5 years ago. If I really have to rate this second rate restaurant if give it 1/2 star since I cant do that I'll give it one star. My advice to the owners don't charge people having dinner a cover to get in that should be a perk we spent over $100.00 with dinner and another $16.00 cover. Greed Greed Greed! The staff at this place is completely TERRIBLE. I'm 28 years old with a VALID ID and I have NEVER had such a problem getting into a bar. Reminder - I said I'm twenty eight years old!! They called six "experts" to read my ID and compared it to other NJ licenses and told me mine was fake and wasn't thick enough or had appropriate ultra violet light reflections. After 5 minutes and six people looking at it, I asked for my license back as I wasn't interested in being there anymore. Two individuals began questioning me "if it wasn't fake" why I would want to leave and said he would need to confiscate my fake. To which I obviously said "not without the cops here!" He then began questioning info on my license as well as when I graduated high school college and my zodiac sign. I was on vacation with my boyfriend and we were looking forward to coming here as most reviews were decent. My bf asked if they see a lot of NJ licenses thinking that may be the problem - but they claimed they did. After the seventh "expert" came and advised my ID was in fact legit, I didn't say a word, took it and walked away. Fuck that place!! I wouldn't recommend it!! Def not worth the trouble with all the other bar/clubs in the area!! read more

I have spent the past 20 summers in OCMD. I've been to secrets quite a bit... even before being 21, for lunch with family and friends. Last month I had a friend visit from Germany and could not wait to show her Seacrets Bar & Grill... we got to the door around 1pm and couldn't wait to grab some Caribbean lunch! They carded us and i handed over my ID and was fine. She handed her German ID over and they refused to let her in for lunch... We didn't even want to drink, we wanted to enjoy the Grill part of Seacrets. They told her she needed her Passport!!! Apparently home boy doesn't travel much because you never just carry your passport around for the heck of it, let alone to grab some damn lunch. I asked for a manager and kindly explained that we just wanted lunch we were both 24 years of age and didn't even want to drink. I got no eye contact and was rushed out the door saying she absolutely could not come in. While talking to him a group of six year olds strolled right in. I vow to never be a repeat client again!!! I was so embarrassed after telling her all about this place. They really need to learn some manners! read more

The "peace police" gentleman that checked our ID's was very rude in response to a simple question we asked him, however it didn't really phase me. When we walked in I was pleased with the atmosphere in general. Very fun and beachy like Margaritaville- however ridiculously crowded. When we were finally sat - we had bad service and ate overpriced but pretty yummy food. I got a fish taco that was 13$ with no sides? The same goes for my boyfriend who ordered a quesadilla. It really isn't surprising to come across overpriced food and drinks at a place like this, and spending money is never an issue with us on vacation, I just prefer to actually be full after a meal. After waiting 45 minutes to get our check back and pay, we decided to go for a walk. We tried to find a table to sit at in the bay area (by the way, that water is disgusting) however it was horribly crowded so we found a little secluded part of the beach right behind one of the bars. There were no signs that said we could not go beyond a certain point however 4 "peace police" came and flipped out on us. We explained to them that we were just taking a walk and one of them proceeded to use profanity at us. I was really appalled. We asked to speak to the manager/owner and he may have been one of the most ignorant, unclassy fellows I have ever met. He did not care about our experience or how we were treated and had the audacity to ask us to leave and return later if we would like. It just really threw me for a loop because we have never been treated like that at any establishment before. It is VERY apparent that the only thing the owner cares about is getting people in and out of there like cattle while draining their wallets. It could be a really cool place because of the general atmosphere, however the service is awful and it really is a big sleazy hookup joint. I was really disturbed to see that some adults had their children there. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I am counting down the days until I can go back this summer! This place is massive, we had so much fun exploring all the areas, and didn't even get to it all! The jerk chicken Cesar wrap was DELICIOUS! And the drinks make you feel like you're on the beach in Jamaica! I thought it was so cool how they had service in the water, although it did take a little long, but what do you expect? Fair warning, there is a cover at night that increases as the night goes on, so make sure you go early. Staff was extremely friendly and remembered us after our first visit. Came here with a large group of friends and had a blast!!! I was in Ocean City for a weekend when it was warm - and actually went to Seacrets twice in the same weekend, once in the day and then once at night, because it was just that much fun! They have multiple sections, and they have different vibes in each area. The vibes are also different in the day versus at night. Their beach bar was definitely my favorite, and the best beach bar I've ever been to, and I've been to Cancun twice. This would be a great alternative to an international "spring break" experience. Out in the water, they have tables with stools as well as floats, where you can hang out. It can be hard to find a table, so snag the first one you can find! If you walk away, they can be taken by other people within seconds. The water is so gross (drinks poured in there, limes everywhere, cigarette butts everywhere, it's probably 50% pee of drunken patrons and 50% water), but as someone who is a super crazy clean freak, it's still worth it! It's an incredibly fun time! The beach bar is the main area we stayed in during the day. There are waitresses that come around to the tables in the water to take drink orders, but you can also leave the water to go to one of the many bars inside to get drinks too, which could be faster depending on how aggressive you tend to be at the bar and how much the waitresses coming around might like you. In the water, the music is ramped up, it's packed full of people, and it's just a good ol' time. At night, we checked out a bunch of other areas at Seacrets, including an area with a live band, a section that was playing only 90's music (I loved it, but some people aren't into it), and more. The feel of each area is very different, with different music, different people, etc. You can find your spot, or hop around and experience it all! I'd say if you had to choose, go in the daytime and hit up the beach bar and get the spring break experience right in the states. But both the day and night experiences are a real good time :) Definitely check this place out! read more
