They deserve zero stars. Technician used master bathroom twice without asking and left urine the first time and clogged the toilet the next. There was a guest bath available. I am beyond disgusted - scheduled apt for today (Saturday) 12-4. Decided to call to call at 3:30 to check on the status of the driver, the customer service clerks, stated "oh your scheduled 12-6. Again it's a Saturday and I have things to do, she then proceeds to tell me they do not have a window of 12-4, so I must be mistaken????????????? Really?!?!?!?!? Approximately 5:15pm the dumb-butts call me and tell me they do not have my part in stock - duh this should have been identified during the initial scheduling call. I requested to speak to a manager and was on hold for eternity, only to be told "he left for the day". It's apparent the customer service clerks cover for each aka LIE TO THE CUSTOMERS! I told her I want to reschedule for next week, she gives me a window of 12-5 - um I asked I thought you guys only have a window from 12-6, again I am mistaken????????????????? The absolute worst. I booked both HVAC cleaning and carpet cleaning same day. Ended up signing off on something I should have looked at bit closer. Since the carpet cleaners were coming in right after the HVAC people, I was focused on the next appointment. I needed the HVAC workers to comeback and reopen up the system to show the area was cleaned. I got the runaround for a week to schedule someone to come back and double check the issue. The office manager George is a piece of work, never returned phone calls, dodged calls, once minute he was in office, two minutes later he was in a meeting. Horrible customer service. I wish I had looked at the rating BEFORE I made an appointment. I called on Wednesday 9/12 to make an appointment for 3 rooms and a sectional on Friday 9/14. I was given an 8-12 window. Come 12pm, nobody had contacted me so I called the 800 number. I was told that I never had an appointment schedule. I asked to make a new appointment and they gave me a 12-6 window for the same day. 6pm rolls around and no word. I call again. The 800 number hangs up on you is you hold for more than 5 minutes, so I had to call MANY times. I was finally told that they didn't have time to get to me because I'm too far away (no mention of my location was ever made previously). BUT, why didn't anyone call to say they weren't coming? I unleashed on Gia, the woman who answered the phone. Again, no offer to come another time. I foolishly asked for a Saturday 9/15 appointment. She gave me the direct number to their local office so I could call and check in. I had a 12-6 appointment and around 2 I decided to check in. Again, I was hung up on 3 times. I finally got through and Gia answers. When I say my name she immediately says "oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!", and I know I'm not going to get good news. When dispatch sat down to map out the route hey decided that I was The only person out this far so they just wouldn't add me to the schedule. AGAIN - NO CALL! How do they stay in business when they won't show up or call? It's insane that I even tried 3x, but I was desperate. This is the first and last time I used there services. I scheduled an appointment for a 7 room plus hallway for a great price. My son was present during the cleaning. He said they tried to upsale him but he declined. When I came home half of the house looked great. The other half looked like it was done using dirty water. So I called to express my dissatisfaction and requested a retreat. They scheduled the retreat for today. They said they would call the day before to confirm the appointment. I didn't receive a call the day before and they didn't show up today to do the retreat. I called to ask why didn't they show up today and I was because they called to confirm and left a message. He put so much water down in the room it didn't dry in three days and caused a strong mildew smell throughout my house!!! I called to complain and got a call back from the manager LAUREN ROUCKA who told me if I really wanted it fixed, I should have called the day before. WHAT?!?!? The tech told me to wait 24-48 hours for the carpet to dry!!!!! I called right after that when I noticed the smell!!!! VERY RUDE!!!! Trust me, DO NOT USE THEM!!! You will not be satisfied and probably pay over $130 for mildew and mold!!! It's a health issue so I REPORTED THEM TO BBB!! I suggest you all do the same to get them shut down!!!! read more

***DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE, MOST UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE***We scheduled a cleaning for yesterday, the time frame we were given was between 3pm-6pm, and we were told the tech would call 30 min prior to arrival. 5:30pm we still hadn't received a call, when we called the call center they told us the truck broke down. So not only did we wait at an empty house for 4 hours to get the carpets cleaned, they didn't show up and didn't even bother to call and let us know we'd have to reschedule. Although upset, we decided to give them a chance and reschedule for the next day, which was today (also it was too late notice to find someone else for next day cleaning). Not only did no one show up, when we called the Lorton, VA number, someone obviously picked up our call and hung up without saying anything. When we tried calling back, the line was all of a sudden busy. This is by far the most unprofessional service we've ever encountered. We wasted 9 hours (4 hrs yesterday, 5 hrs today) waiting at an empty house for the cleaners to show up. Now because of this, we probably won't be able to get our security deposit refunded. We've tried calling multiple numbers to complain or at least get service or speak to someone but we they keep giving us the run around and trying to forward us to non-existent departments. Now seeing all the other reviews of horrible/non-existent service, I don't understand why Sears hasn't done anything about this location, or at least responded to any of these inquiries. FANTASTIC - very happy. Martin was on time, courteous and did a thorough carpet cleaning job. As anyone would expect he fully explained different cleaning options available. There was NO pressure, only politeness. Martin was done within a couple of hours. I am extremely pleased with the work he performed. I highly recommend Sears for this and recommend asking for Martin who works the Burke, VA area. I've used other service companies in other homes in the past years ago and never felt compelled to review them, but I guess it is all in who you get to perform the work. Don't waste your time, use another company. Scheduled services for air duct and carpet cleaning on the same day. First crew scheduled for air ducts services never called and did not show for window time. When i called the service line I was told that someone called me and left a voicemail. I informed the customer service agent that this was not true, we were sitting waiting at home during the scheduled window time and have yet to receive a phone call or voicemail. I reverified my contact information in addition to my husbands telephone number being backup and neither one of us had a missed call or voicemail. Customer service rep was rude and said there was nothing she could do about it but she can reschedule. Long story short, the air duct service crew never showed, and the carpet cleaning crew apparently cancelled without notice. I thought I would save a little money by using SEARS services since their prices were slightly lower but I'd rather pay the extra funds for another company. K Brown called at 8.45 am on September 7th 2017 for air duct cleaning This tech came to our home, which we leased out to tenant's and wanted the ducts to be cleaned in Herndon. He started addressing the issue by dramatizing of how bad it is and explaining that Elderly people are living in the house and it's not safe because the HVAC machine hasn't been cleaned from ages... This fellow goes and tells our tenant's how dangerous the home is and that there is no air filter (WTF). Then with my wife on the phone and he yelling at the top of his voice with our tenant's next to him, he says it is going to cost us $1800 to clean up all the vents because we have not cleaned them in 30 yrs. and that it is too dangerous to live in this home, because it is so contaminated Finally my wife asked him to finish his cleaning the ducts and asked for managers number. I called them around noon and found out that my appointment is scheduled for May 10. Wednesday...I am at work, couldn't schedule for Wednesday. The people on the phone have no clue what is going on. MORONS!!!! When I told them that I spoke with someone the day before on Friday May 5th to confirm the appointment and have the call record on my cell phone in the call history, they didn't believe me. The cleaning crew did a great job cleaning the air duct however when they put the cover on the air conditioner a spark came from the unit then they tried to turn the ac on and the unit was not making contact to the thermostat A technician came to the rescue however he was not able to figure it out since the crew left and he was trying to find the problem. He had to leave but he was nice enough to call another technician, Juan Rodriguez to take care of the problem. He came he next day and the problem was that the cleaning crew BURNED my NEST thermostat and lucky for me I had an old one. Juan installed the old one and notified the problem to the office. The estimate was for $114.95 and I end up paying more for the cleaning and sanitizing etc. I should receive a NEST thermostat with the installation from Sears ,since Juan notified the manager about the problem. NO ONE CALLED ME BACK , I made many phone calls that ended up in Virginia because the office was not answering the phone. I deserve a NEST thermostat that they burned, refund for the aggravation of not having AC working overnight, I live with a 95 year old person. No one called me, but I received two emails to rate Sears. So here is my review: I will not recommend to my friends to use the service because if something goes wrong NO ONE from the office calls back. On friday 2/23 I was called to confirm my appt time for Sat 2/24 between the hours of 8 am &12 pm. Around 10:30 am Sat morning I called to get a ETA on my service and the young lady told me that my appt was changed to 1-5 pm, the person who had changed my time without my consent said she left a voicemail that was a out right lie. So I questioned who just changes someone appt without making sure that time works for them? Long story short the guy shows up at my house @ 5:40 pm and did a horrible job. I had scheduled a carpet and upholstery cleaning with an arrival window of 8am to 12 pm. At 8:30 am, I received a call from a technician who stated he would be at my home by "9:01 at the latest". At 9:38 am, I called the technician as he had not yet arrived. He stated he was having a conversation with someone at the loading dock of my building. I informed him that there is no loading dock where I live. He was located in Washington DC. I live in Hyattsville, Maryland. He said he would call me back. He never did. I called and left a message and waited but did not get a response. I then called 703-339-5888 and spoke Matia (sp?) who advised me that there was "a problem" on the technician's current job but that he would be headed to my home next. I wait approximately another hour and called back in. I spoke with Elijah and was told that the technician was in Temple Hills, Maryland on another job and had just left to make his way to my home. That would put the technician's estimated time of arrival at after 12:30. I was told by Elijah that the Dispatch Manager, John, would call me to further discuss the situation. John did not initiate any contact with me. I called back in at 1:05 pm and was told the technician was in District Heights, Maryland on another job. I requested to speak with the manager. I spoke with John who stated there were technical issues, the system was down and multiple other excuses. I let him know that I was frustrated regarding the experience and if that if there were equipment issues, etc, I should have been informed on the previous phone calls and offered to reschedule. Instead I was provided inaccurate, false information and led to believe that the technicians would actually come to complete the requested work. He then stated that he would be speaking with Mr. Fuller to determine when "the plug on the machine" would be fixed. He said he would call me back in 20 minutes (which would be 1:25). He never did. I called back in at 1:50 and was told that he was taking a payment and that he would call me back. He never did. At 4:15 pm, I receive a phone call from a technician (not Mr. Fuller who I was told would be coming) who stated that his estimated arrival time would be 5:15 pm because he was driving to my home from Potomac, Maryland. He said he was unaware that my scheduled time was 8am-12 pm and stated that the Manager who was supposed to call me (John) had already left for the day. I had to decline the carpet cleaning at this point because 5:15 pm would be way too late. When I called an complained, they offered a great discount so I decided to reschedule. I was told that I could be made the first stop of the day. My window was from 8am to 12 pm. I will not go into all of the details but basically, I got the same run around. The technician did not arrive until after 2:30 pm and did not have all of the equipment needed to complete the job. Good Morning, I need to speak to someone regarding an absolutely appalling service I have received from Sears. On March 26 I scheduled online to have a staircase cleaned and deodorized, a FREE tile and grout cleaning estimate, and to have 10 vents cleaned and my dryer duct work cleaned on April 1. On March 27 I received two emails: Email 1, order #406933, stated that I would get a $99.95 duct cleaning special and a trip surcharge of $15.00 and the service was scheduled for 4/1/2017 Email 2, order #114839, stated that I would receive a FREE tile and grout cleaning estimate, Standard stairway for $40.00, and stairway deodorizer for $26.00. (total $66.65 with tax), also scheduled for 4/1/2017. On Wednesday 3/29 I received a phone call stating that technicians were on the way to my house to do the service. I explained that I wasn't scheduled for Wednesday, I was scheduled for Saturday 4/1. On Saturday 4/1, a carpet cleaning technician came to the house around 9:00. I asked him if he was also doing the ducts and he said no. He said if I was having ducts cleaned, he would come back after they were finished so they wouldn't track up the clean carpets (which I thought was very thoughtful and I appreciated). The duct guys came around noon. They stated that since I lived on the 4th floor their equipment would not reach from the truck. The technician called the manager and the manger said the technician was "just trying to get out of doing the work" and demanded pictures. The technicians complied and took several pictures showing how high up they were and how far from the truck they were. One of the technicians stated that they had a portable machine and they would go get it and come back. He assured me they would be back in an hour or so. No call, no show and I stayed home all afternoon waiting. Nothing. No one called to say they would reschedule or that they couldn't come that day, just nothing. A completely different crew came for the carpet cleaning around 3pm. They had a work order for 2 staircases and no deodorizer or grout cleaning estimate. The crew was very polite and professional and got the job done quickly and efficiently. However, they charged me $104.88 which is NOT what was on my estimate. Since it is clearly not their fault and this is so obviously an issue with completely incompetent management and scheduling, I did not discuss it with the hard working crew. I called this morning to fix these issues. The first number I called, the number on my estimate, (888) 378-2494, started me out at caller 3. When I got to 1st in line it stated to leave a message and I would be called back. Since I was first in line I pressed "0" to be connected and it bumped me to caller 7. So when I finally got to caller #1 again, it AGAIN had me leave a message. So I tried but it said the mailbox was full and disconnected me!!!!!!!! I called back again, same exact thing. Tells me to leave a message but since I can't it disconnected me. So I look up a different number online, (800) 817-3067. I am told that I will be connected to someone who can help me and AGAIN, I am disconnected. This is clearly designed to discourage people from complaining or getting their money back because no legitimate business would operate in such a way as to frustrate their customers and make it IMPOSSIBLE to get any assistance. I called a third number that I received from chatting with a technician on Sears home services. I spoke with someone who OF COURSE could not help me and gave me more numbers to call. I would like a refund of $38.33 back to the card I paid with. This is the difference between what I was charged and what I was told I would be charged for the carpet cleaning. Today at 10am I was contacted by a technician saying he was at my house to do the duct cleaning. ARE YOU KIDDING ME????? You no call no show and then just send someone else when its convenient for you???? No one asked if Monday would work for me, no one told me they were sending someone back out, you just show up????? Who runs a business like this? This whole process has been an absolute abomination. I am obviously canceling all further services. But I expect a refund for the overcharge IMMEDIATELY. And someone need to call me and work that out ASAP. *Update* I have been attempting to call (703)687-1872 to voicemail that was left for me but have been unable to get through. The automated message states that it is no longer a working number. I also called (703)822-8312 3 times this morning. The first rep gave me an email of ikea.carter@searshomeservices.com which is not a working email. The second rep told me that she did not have an email and gave me a number of (703) 940-1890 and when I asked for her name and to speak to her manager she hung up the phone. The third time I called I was able to get through to a manager and she assured me that someone would call me and informed me that "phone lines are down". OK. read more

We had the absolute worst experience with this service! My husband and I scheduled a recent carpet cleaning for our previous house that we were moving out of and our landlord had a specification that before the move out inspection could be completed, we needed to have this service done. We compared prices and services for our home size and determined this was in our price range. We scheduled an appointment a month in advance for the day prior to the move out inspection. 5 days before the scheduled appointment, my husband called to confirm this appointment since we had not heard anything except the quoted price they gave us over the phone. They told us they didn't have our names in their system and that we could make an appointment for that day if we wanted. So he made an appointment, we were quoted the same amount as before and received an email confirmation that it would be done Thursday at 2 pm. My husband, mind you we both have an hour commute due to jobs, took off 5 hours of his shift so he could be there to let them in the house. After waiting and waiting, we called the service line and they told us that they were running behind due to a service job being extended with the work. Before hanging up we were promised that they would be there today for our move out inspection the following day. After calling and being strung along for 7-8 total hours that day, we were told the service man went home after the last job hours ago. Panicking, we called the office and got a mix of getting sent straight to voicemail or talking to representatives and being hung up on as we were "put on hold". Oh and we found out later by a representative that our original appointment that we made was in fact in their system. My husband, when he called, the same representative told him on two separate occasions that this situation was our fault! Eventually at 6:59 pm, they close at 7 pm, we were told that the service truck that was supposed to be in the area broke down and that is why he went home after. No one ever said this to us before! We were then promised again that they would be there first thing in the morning the following day in time for us to keep the move out inspection time. After multiple attempts of trying to get ahold of the manager, they again promised us that they would be there by 2-3 pm on Friday. Due to this we ended up missing out on 5 hours worth of pay from my husband and had to reschedule the move out inspection to a day where we were already running around. Long story short, I have never felt so disrespected by the rude service that was provided. Thank god the carpet cleaners finally came on Friday to do this service. We will never use this service again and I hope no other customer has to go through the nightmare we did! read more

Sears is known for their good appliances and tools and home warranty services, I used Sears because they have always been good to work with and reputable....until now-their carpet cleaning company is a joke! I had service Oct 2016 at my moms home since she is elderly. 5 rooms a hall and deodorize only 2 areas I was quoted $195 after tax. The guy from sears showed up at my moms and before he even went inside the house told my mom to write a check for $300. She didn't call me until the job was finished to ask me why it was so much and I immediately same day called the sears office to be told the tech wasn't back yet with the invoice and they would call me back. They never called me back and I had become sick and wasn't able to follow up until Dec 2016 in which I'm told policy over and over for satisfaction is 30 days from Lauren-she didn't care they didn't follow up or that I was sick she just kept repeating policy like a broken record. I have since called Sears corporate and apparently they refer you back to the office which doesn't care about customer service. Use Stanley Steamer as they were wonderful and guaranteed what they quoted me and don't rip off old ladies! Sears should be ashamed! read more

First I want to specify that this review pertains specifically to the Sears Carpet Cleaning & Air Duct Cleaning customer service department at 703 339 5888. This review does NOT pertain to Sears as a company nor does it pertain to the technicians who actually came out and cleaned my air duct system. On May 14th, 2018 I had an appointment scheduled for between 8am and 12pm for Air Duct Cleaning services. No one called or showed up and at 12:30pm I called the customer service department and spoke with a guy who stated that the technician's truck broke down and I was rescheduled for the following day. Mind you, no one called to tell me the technician wasn't going to make it and no one called to reschedule. Luckily I was available the following day again for 8am - 12pm. The following day, May 15th, 2018, 1130am rolled around and again no one showed up and I received no calls. I called the customer service number and was told by a guy that the first job the technicians had was running late but they will come out to complete my service by 6pm. I explained that it would have been nice if someone had called and let me know so I could have accomplished some errands in the morning. Finally around 530pm the technicians arrived. I could tell they had a long day, yet they were still professional, upbeat, and got to work immediately. Travis, the lead of the 3-man team showed me the crud that was built up on my coils and the tar build-up from whomever used to smoke in the home previous to my purchase. They cleaned, vacuumed, and deodorized my system and when they were done Travis showed me the cleaned coils, clean vents, etc, and the place smelled great. He mentioned the benefits of UV lights and I expressed interest because I had sears clean and install them in the system at my previous home and I was satisfied. Unfortunately there were no more UV lights on the truck, however I went ahead and paid for the lights therefore they would just have to be installed. I was scheduled for three days later, Friday May 18th 2018.....and this is where my nightmare began. Friday came and went and no one showed up, no phone calls or anything. When I called at the end of the day Friday it was after hours and I was told to call back Monday. Monday morning I called and spoke to a lady who explained she was one of the call center's after hours reps and that the manager, Maurice, should be in after 8am. She stated she would have him call me and I should also call back and ask to speak to him if he doesn't call me. Well, Maurice, didn't call so I called spoke with the same lady and she connected me to Maurice. Maurice explained that the UV light supplier had a delay in shipment and someone should have called and told me. He explained that Tuesday and Thursdays are when shipment comes in and I should expect to be scheduled later that week. It all goes down-hill fast from here......each week for the next month I call because no one ever calls me regarding when these lights that I have paid for will be installed. Whenever I call if a guy answers he transfers me to HVAC installation and who knows where else since sometimes I get transferred to oblivion and the call disconnects, after NOT listening to a word of my explanation of needed UV lights installed after air duct cleaning services. Yep, it even gets worse to where whenever I call (I believe by now my number is recognized) the automation says I am next in line yet no one picks up and the phone disconnects. The times a guy answers I would ask with whom I am speaking and they would disconnect the call rather than give their name. When I ask to speak to Maurice I am always told he is at lunch, in a meeting, or not in the office. When I explain that I want to lodge a complaint I am again transferred to numbers that ring and no one answers, EVER. I got lucky on three occasions and a female answered the line and tried to help. I want to be sure to note that whenever a female answered they would actually listen to my situation and schedule to get the lights installed but the no-show cycle was the same. After a month I am pissed because I paid a lot of money for something I do not have and I am getting the run around. I called sears air duct cleaning services in another state (the person actually gave their name when they answered), explained the situation, and that I want to file a complaint but all I have is the number to the place I want to complain about. She was very sympathetic and gave me the corporate number. I called the corporate number and explained the entire ordeal from May 14th on and the lady assured me this would be taken care of in 48 hours. Two seconds after I gave her my complaint I received an apology letter, less than 24 hours I was miraculously schedule to get the lights by the 703 339 5888 department, and I was provided the contact for a completely separate department who would also schedule my appointment. I ordered duct cleaning service from Sears at this location. They scheduled the appointment for me on 4/8/ 2019 from 8:00am until 12:00pm. Guess what, their contractors didn't show up on this time line, and they didn't even bother to call and let me know that they were running late. So, I called this office to reschedule my appointment to the following week which is 4/15/2019. The time line for this appointment is as same as previous one which was 8am to 12pm. Again none of their contractors showed up or called at this time. Then, at 12:30pm the contractor called me without leaving any message, so I called this location and asked why the contractors hadn't come. They told me that he already called but I didn't pick his calls. So he had to move on to the next appointment. Then I talked to the manager and he gave me so many excuses, then he canceled me appointment. I can't believe that this Sears manager is so rude. He doesn't care how many hours that I had waited for this service. So, I'm not surprised why Sears has gone to bankrupt due to all of bad service. Stay away! Do not select Sears Carpet Cleaning unless you are willing to get "ripped off!" I needed a carpet cleaning recently. Usually I have always gone with national competitor but Sears offered Sunday service. My appointment window was 8-12p and they arrived at 3pm. Then when I went to sign the invoice it was NOT what I was quotes over the phone and in FOUR emails including the last one on the day of service. I refused to accept this "portable fee," for my Townhouse. After speaking to multiple representatives after I learned they charge this fee for apartments. The Sears person told me wrong fee including sales tax after removing this portable fee, at the time I didn't realize it being so frustrated that I wasted an entire day. Then two days later I see a charge for $90 more than the stated price. Now 0 clearly didn't look like a 9. This was NO mistake. The technicians take the invoices back to the office to have your credit card run. If it was a mistake of a "0 looking like a 9," then they should have IMMEDIATELY refunded my money. Also they DUPLICATED the charge on my card after SUCCESFUL processing that Monday. Yes, all of this within TWO days of service. Now after about 10 phone calls and 5 days later no response after multiple messages and the person called LAUREN in QC (quality control) hung up on me. Look if it happened to me, it will happen to you! Use the National competitors. I used them sporadically over 15 years and I am so sorry I chose convenience that resulted in inconvenience and fraudulent activity over honest, reliable service. read more

We picked Sears Home Services to clean our air vent because of the brand name, and their quote price is attractive. But be careful, there are many hidden costs. You may end up paying significantly more if you want your air vent cleaned appropriately. Plus, the standard procedures posted on Sears Air Duct Cleaning System home page are deceiving. The crew who worked on ours clearly deviated a big time from their own procedures. Those are the high points. Feel free to read on if you are interested in details of their services. 1. They didn't seal the return air vent (to maximize the air flow) before cleaning. I had to show the sears web page to the "leader" and insisted that they follow the sears standard procedure. 2. They didn't follow Sears own instruction to install a galvanized sheet metal access panel over the hole and attach it with 12 screws in accordance with NADCA standards and seal the patch with metal tape. I noticed that some of patches miss screws and some of the patches don't even have tapes after they left. 3. They didn't follow Sears own instruction to seal the hole made to insert the air whip with an approved plug. Instead the hole was covered with a piece of duct type. I was told that the PLUG was out of stock and Sears doesn't provide the PLUG to technicians anymore. 4. Per Sears guideline, the technicians should call us ahead (30-40 mins prior to their arrival), but no call was received at all. 5. I asked for their business card many times, but never got one. They took less than one hour to clean the vents of my house, and left a lot of things uncleaned. I should have checked reviews beforehand. Hope you will learn from my mistake. Wished we had reviewed Yelp before calling the service of Sears for our carpet cleaning. Unfortunately a very unpleasant service. You are never sure whether customer service representatives who are at fault or the calling technicians; each blames it on the other and the customer is lost between the two! We called for the service and were promised that they will call the next day between 4 and 6 pm - The technicians turned at 8:20pm to tell us that they are very tired and if they could call the next morning. That did not work for us so we cancelled the service and asked for rescheduling for another day! Anyway, we asked for the cleaning service (for 10 areas, 1 mattress, stairs, and hallways) + the protective safeguard + deodorizer service. We needed the mattress cleaning because of two small stains. We were then assured that they will make sure they are gone for $65 charge. The technician arrived on his own with no helper (as this is the case for large orders as ours). But I must admit this time within the window time promised. To start him off, we had to figure for him water sources from our kitchen. After doing one of the rooms, he spent 2-3 minutes on the mattress, and said I cannot get the stains off! I donl;t think he even tried much!! Throughout the cleaning of the rooms, we felt exhausted to have to chase the technician to tell him what needs to be done. We were surprised when he came down at one point saying he was done with all upstairs. On checking, half of the rooms upstairs were not even touched! We also had to remind him to clean under the area carpets/rugs and to help him ourselves to roll them so that he can kindly clean underneath. At the end of the cleaning, he wrapped his equipment and started to make the paper work for the payment; so we asked what about the protector and the deodorizer service? He said that he would do this at the end after the payment. To our surpise, he also insisted that we pay an additional amount of $36 to what we were quoted. When we asked the reason, he said this is towards Taxes. I explained that we had checked twice with customer service and were promised that what they had quoted for us was already all inclusive. The response from the technician was that he did not know who told us this; he even did not want to take our offer to show him the confirmation e-mail with the booking quote saying that he only cares what he has been told by SEARS and this is what we have to pay! So once more, we let this one go! Though, at the time of writing, we are dreading what we will actually be billed eventually on our credit card.... hope it will be only this $36 When we came to the remaining services of Carpet Protector and deodorization for the rooms; the technician stepped out and brought a sprayer from the van, and filled it for most of it with water (assuming topping it to the protective material) and just went around spraying all the rooms in no more than 5 minutes! Not sure what he was actually spraying?! Now when we asked about the deodorizer service that we had paid for, the answer was: it has already been included with the protector in that spray! and we never even smelled anything close to a deodorizer. This is a total scam. The work was performed on 3/10/17. The Manager is Bernard. He's African American and talks a good game, but the work was horrible. I still had mold in my system (took pictures to prove it); the UV system light wasn't working after just a few hours of operation and they bent the top of my boiler. I called the company the same day to come back out to repair. No one has even called me back. I will dispute the charge with Discover. Don't waste your money on these scammers! read more

Bad service, upsale started as soon as the tech came through the door to get you to spend more money, terrible carpet cleaning - saturated with water and dries hard. Tech left water overflowing in my bathroom while he was cleaning, didn't come back to check that the water was over flowing but charged me a $15 surcharge when he had used my water and ran up my utilities. My original request was for truck mounted service but Sears ignored that and sent a portable cleaner that used my utilities. I let the tech do the service because I didn't want to take time off from work to reschedule. Not good. Should have cancelled and went with another company. Supposedly paid extra (for the upsale) for an 'infiltration cleaning" which turned out to be only a few sprays of yellow liquid from a bottle on the top of the carpet - I could have done that myself for $70 extra bucks. End of story - 24 hours later carpet still slightly damp and dirty where supposed "infiltration" was done. No more Sears services for me, was clearly bad business and a complete waste of my money! read more

This should be a zero. Because of condo regulations carpet cleaning must be done between 9 and 5. I wS given a 4 hour window and sure enough they showed at the 4 1/2 time and were refused entry because it was too late. One missed afternoon of work for me. We rescheduled but I asked specifically for the time slot 9-11 as I had to be somwhere st 11:45. They called to confirm, with the incorrect times the day before, and the person on the line couldn't be more rude, once he heard a yes to confirm he just hung up. The day of I got an earl morning call saying they would arrive between 8-12. I reminded them they had agreed to 9-11. At 10 I called, reminded them yet again of the time constraint and was assured the cleaner would call me very soon. At 11:45 I left, and at 12:30 (again even outside their parameters) I got a message from the worker saying he was at my building, why wasn't I answering. I didn't even bother to return the call. 8 hours of missed work and an uncleared rug before the holiday. Worst service ever. read more

Wish I would have checked yelp before trying to deal with this poor excuse for a business. Do not even bother calling this company. I scheduled an appointment online that was confirmed with a voicemail. The person who left the voicemail did not say anything about me having to call back. On the day of the appointment, it took an hour for me to even get someone on the phone, only to be told that they had cancelled my appointment because they never received verbal confirmation from me. I spoke to the supervisor who said they could try to get someone here but not guarantee it, despite the fact that it was entirely their mistake, and I only had this one day to deal with my floors. I was perturbed to say the least. I asked if I could send a picture to get the estimate done that way for the simple clean and seal grout job, and he just repeated himself that he could try but not guarantee despite the fact that I was offering a legitimate alternative to a person coming to my property. I explained that it was an alternative to getting someone to my property and he said he couldn't give a phone number. I offered email, all the while getting more and more frustrated that he didn't really seem to care that his incompetent staff made a big mistake. He said my tone was "pissing him off," so I decided to go with Stanley Steamer instead. They answer the phone and keep confirmed appointments. I am going to do everything I can to make sure the store knows what a mess this department is. Incompetence, rudeness, and inaccessibility - all at their worst with this place. read more

Completely outrageous! While cleaning air ducts, the tech broke a small window in the basement through which he was dragging his hose. I called the Quality Control department who agreed to send another team member to do an estimate of damage and assign repairs. Well, it took them a month (!!!) to come over and take the pictures of the broken window and its measurements. I called, the visit was scheduled, but no one was showing up. Finally someone showed up, took the pictures; next day they came again and took the pictures and measure AGAIN. Then, finally, after a month of this ordeal, I received a call from their manager and he told me they found a 3d party contractor who will replace the pane. It has now been 2 weeks since I am trying to schedule that 3d party contractor, American Windows and Glass Repair Services, to come over and do the work. American Windows and Glass Repair Services is playing the same game with me as Sears - they schedule a visit, they do not show up and they do not cancel. read more

I ordered a duct cleaning service, and when the technician arrived he offered to inspect the furnace to see if there's any needed cleaning. When the technician told me that the furnace needs to be cleaned I agreed to the additional service and additional cost. Everything seemed fine until the technicians left. After the technician cleaned my furnace I left the furnace on Heat and Fan mode as instructed by the technician to allow the chemicals to clean out the furnace. I noticed after about 30 minutes there was no heat. I tried to call Sears back to tell them the problem, and they told me to reset the furnace by turning off the whole system for 15 min and turn it on again. I did as instructed and again there was no heat. So I called Sears back and was told the technician is on another job and the manager would call me back within 10 minutes to see if there's anybody to dispatch and come have a look. I had other commitments in the afternoon, so nobody called me until 2 hours later. I missed their call and tried to call back and all I get is their voice mail box is full. I call their general (866) 881-2743 number and nobody answers. It's 8:30pm at night, and it's one hell of a cold night expected to hit 26 degrees tonight. I've got 2 kids 4/5 year olds that are freezing. What kind of service is this? read more

As the other stated I would give them 0 stars if that were an option. It's been almost a month and I have been trying to come to a resolution with Sear Cleaning. Their customer service has been absolutely terrible. Every time I call to talk to someone "they no longer work there" or they just flat out refuse to call me back. I hired them to come out and clean the ducts in our condo. I was quoted $115 for the work. After having my appointment change once the technicians finally showed up at 3pm (after waiting all day for them). Once they got there they told they had found mold in my system. They charged me $900 and said they would clean and get rid of the mold as well as clean my vents. After I agreed to the service,(because once you hear mold you of course want it taken care of!) one technician made me sign all the paperwork and charged my credit card while the other 2 guys started to work. 20 mins later they told me they were done! $900 for 20 minutes of work?? and my ducts were not even touched! After they left I called Sears right away and asked how much it would be for them to come clean mold out of our system. Three different people told me they don't clean mold!!!!!!! I informed them that I just had technicians from their company here and they charged me $900 to clean the mold and my vents. My case was then passed onto the "quality control team". I have been dealing with Lucas and he has offered no other resolution other than a $99 refund because the ducts were never cleaned. Clearly the technicians lied about cleaning my ducts so he was willing to refund. I told him that wasn't going to cut it for me. I asked him if he could break down the other $800 charge and why I was first of all charged so much and secondly how I was charged for mold removal when they do not do this service. He informed me that they could never say if the "bacteria" they saw was mold because they can't treat mold. Well why did the technicians tell me specifically that they found mold and that why going to clean and get rid of it for me!?! Now Lucas told me that since I denied the $99 refund the case has been closed! Closed!?! We have come to no resolution or have I gotten anymore details about why the charge was so much. So much for their customer satisfaction guarantee. I also asked for the technicians mold certification and he just ignores my calls and emails now. STAY AWAY!! read more
