Server took the order and a hot bowl of Bun Bo Hue showed up 3 minutes later. The BBH here reminds me of the flavor that my Vietnamese auntie used to make during family gatherings. The broth has strong lemongrass essence and isn't overly rich. If you don't add any condiments, the bowl is good as is. Since it's on the lighter side they provide shrimp paste, satay, fish sauce, chili in fish sauce so can add according to taste. I added a spoonful of satay sauce and it brought the broth to life. Ate some chilis on the side to get some more heat. The meats are all good quality, really enjoy their pork meatball. Service is quick and efficient from ordering to getting the order. Very disappointing experience. The food is overpriced, and the portions are much smaller than expected. I ordered two large bowls, but they were no bigger than the small bowls served at many other Vietnamese restaurants. The vegetables that came with the meal were also very limited. What really ruined my experience, though, was the customer service. After I had already sat down, I was told to go back to the front counter to place my order. At first, I thought this was the restaurant's policy for everyone. However, I later noticed that the staff walked over to other tables and took their orders instead.
