The staff and I think the kitchen is different now, and the food is different. The kid serving us seemed like the owners son. This place looked staffed by the owner and spouse, and our server looked about 16 and clearly wanted to be elsewhere. OK, maybe he doesn't know his stuff, and maybe he's got work to do. Maybe he's never seen great customer service, but this place got a little busy before we left, and honestly, they looked in the weeds, and acted like it. My first day as a server way back in whenever, I was at On the Border in Milpitas and I spilled a tray full of cokes on a dude. I tend to give a lot of leeway. No, this is not the Bings Dumplings we knew. I posted a snap of the Beef Noodle soup. The wife didn't love the noodles; they had too much sogginess and no really texture to them. The broth seemed rushed and there wasn't much depth of flavor. I've had worse. The torn cabbage was pretty good. The new chefs are putting some numbing spicy into the dishes so there was a nice heat that I enjoyed. For me though this dish is always better with some chopped up pork belly which holds a bit of sweet and sourness, and really adds to the dish. I actually enjoyed the cabbage salad and it had good flavor and depth, just not a lot of heat. I loved Mingles Mangos version, but they closed. The Zhajiangmian (looked it up), seemed to be up to my kids' standards, so no complaints. Look, give them time to grow. Give them time to establish their menu and I think they'll be a perfectly repeatable restaurant. I don't know if they'll ever achieve the status of the original, and I'm really sad it's gone now. But this place wasn't bad; we'll go back in a month or so to see how they are doing and how the food has progressed.

We sat in a cozy booth and ordered Thai iced tea, woon sen, Pad Thai with chicken and Pad See Ew with beef and gravy. We decided to share the dishes family style and enjoyed the woon sen and Pad Thai; however Pad See Ew took a long time to come out and it was a-ok, not much flavor but had big pieces of beef and broccoli. There was only one server and for the most part, when we needed her to bring hot tea (as the tea wasn't hot), she was not visible. We asked for hot tea a second time and she discovered the machine was broken as the water wasn't hot. Food prices are reasonable but seemed like service was slow.

Mango My Pork... yes I'd tango with or without a fork! The Mango My Pork features lemongrass pork, which was very tasty and perfectly seasoned. To bring out the taste even more, there is unripe mango, which might sound unappetizing.... but this mango had less tang, less sweet, less sour - just a bit of chew with no tenderness. Essentially, it served the function a tropical vegetable with substantial chew. Although this restaurant is not a regular sit-in with table-side service, the staff checked in on us to see if we were enjoying our food. We ordered Young Chow Fried Rice and BBQ Chow Mein. Both were excellent and since couldn't finish it so we asked for take out boxes. Don't expect great service. Very similar to what you get in Hong Kong. Another thing is one of the waitresses and her treatment toward us when we asked two plates. No problem with that. Instead got a nasty attitude when we then asked for chopsticks. She said that we should bring it when we asked for plates so that she don't walk twice. Maybe return in the future and hope for better service.

Service was very welcoming and friendly, with the staff even offering to text me when my order was ready. I don't generally get this more heavily battered style of chicken wings (I like them lightly dredged/seasoned/floured, fried, then sauced and seasoned), but when I do, I'll be back for the even more popular garlic wings. Chefs have to move aside to let you through and just didn't feel the most sanitary to have people walking back there.

Most of your experience is ordering through the QR code that you scan on the table, but my dad and I still had a welcoming experience with the staff. We never really had to flag anyone down to get their attention and I liked how they would just notice that our water needed to be refilled haha. Lots of seating for larger groups as well! I really wanted some sizzling rice with the beef. Theirs came with corn, garlic butter, and green onions. Very similar to Sizzling Lunch with the sauces and spices on the side. Garlic shoyu sauce is my favorite! I will say I noticed this place was cheaper and less salty than other places I've had. Their popcorn chicken was portioned really well and seasoned lightly. Tender and crunchy. Huge fan of their cheese corn too! Not too mayo-ey and the cheese incorporates really well with the corn. Lovedddd the portion size. Can't wait to come back!
