You pay $79 for a small combo and it does NOT come with rice, steamed egg, and only 3 SMALL plates of beef. It comes with about 5 sides (bean sprouts, kimchi, black bean, fish cake, radish paper). Honestly we were left hungry. There are other better non-ayce kbbq places around where you get rice, rice paper, corn cheese, steamed egg at a cheaper combo price. The service was extremely friendly and fast but they could defiantly use some more formal training to be more consistent. Love this place! Very high quality meat that is cooked to perfection. We've been coming for the past few years and have always enjoyed every dinner. We've usually get the large beef combo which has good variety (and all prime so the taste is always on point). What stands out is the servers are also the sweetest! We were looking for a quality over quantity Korean BBQ restaurant while we were visiting the area and are happy that they recently opened up a location in Irvine. Tiffany and the rest of the staff provided amazing service. We ordered the small Beef and Pork combo and the Galbitang for 3 adults and 1 child and it was just the right amount of food. We came here around Christmas time after going to Tanaka Farms with our 2 year old toddler. It was our first time here. There was a game on and we should have left before we even ordered, but thought the people causing the commotion were the kitchen staff and that it would be better once we sat down. There were no other patrons in the restaurant as far as we could see. We ordered and were sad that there was no rice paper. Turns out the people making the noise were a man and his friend watching the game on the big screen. One was obviously more drunk than the other one. The drunk one would loudly pound on the table and shout throughout the game, scaring our toddler and making the dining experience awful. The waitresses were apologetic but did nothing about the other patron. I think the owner came to apologize also. He was so disruptive that I had to take our toddler outside before the food even arrived. The other patron's friend told him to quiet down and that he scared a baby, his friend said "I'll pay $100more dollars!" My husband asked the staff to pack our food to eat at home. Granted there wasn't a whole lot the staff could have done, they could have asked the patron to move into the other room they had with closed doors, they could have comped our meal or offered a discount. It was the worst experience I have ever had and you bet we're not coming back. Food itself was okay. read more

There is better quality AYCE in Irvine, and since this place is not AYCE that's really sad. The portion sizes are an ABSOLUTE JOKE. A small beef combo is supposed to feed 2 to 3 people?? Are you serious? Maybe a dozen tiny slices of brisket, less than a dozen pieces of even tinier rib finger, and seven slices of the thinnest kkot sal I've ever damn seem for $80 is a joke. I can get all three of those meats at the Korean market for 1/2th that price, and enough for 3 meals. The service....well, we barely got any. EVERY OTHER TABLE in the restaurant had a server cook their meat except for ours. I don't know if we had a lazy ass server, but that pissed me off. The quality of the meat was above standard! However, there are some improvements that needed to be made. The server's cooks the meat for you, but it looks like they needed some training. The meats were burnt and not cooked properly which downgraded the texture of the meat and being dried. Also, the place were filled with smoke and looks like the fan was weak to handle the smoke. It's their soft opening period, so hoping that they will make improvements before their grand opening. Glad to see another choice of KBBQ in town! read more

So I've been here twice now..first time was marginally better than the 2nd. The service here is just so sub par and this is the type of Korean bbq where they cook your meats for you but it takes so long and is so inefficient that they really should change it to cook it yourself. The prices are ridiculous. You ever pay nearly $30 for lunch and leave still hungry? I ordered the bibimbap bowl and I kid you not there was maybe 1 tablespoon of meat on it. Was so disappointed. Literally had to go somewhere else to get more food afterwards. It takes a good long while for the banchan to come out even though it's sitting premade in the kitchen. And if you want refills on the banchan good luck. There are so many better kbbq places in the area I genuinely don't know why you would come here. read more

The cool thing about this spot is that they have a wide selection of soju options - even sugar-free options. We decided to go with a Jinro sugar-free option to share amongst the three of us. My husband and friend decided to order the Small Beef & Pork Combo at $98. It included boneless short rib, brisket, rib finger, and pork belly. All the combos come with soybean soup, side dishes, and sauces. The banchan options were fishcake, kimchi, pickled radish wraps, bean sprouts, mung bean jelly, and cucumber kimchi. and We also ordered the cheesy steamed eggs as an appetizer. And usually if places offer it, I love ordering cold buckwheat noodles to complement my meal. Super glad that they offer the option here! Everything was delicious. We ordered the large beef and pork combo. Meat quality was good and the side banchans were good. Not many in quantity but good quality and home made. The soybean stew and kimchi stew that came with our combo were solid. Soybean stew was better in flavor. The sleeper dish for me was their cold buckwheat noodles which I actually really enjoyed. For the price point, the quality of food is pretty good so I will give them that. However, the service we received was absolutely terrible and ruined my experience here completely. We came here at noon on a Sunday and I was surprised it was not busy (I think I see why now). Some tables have iPads to order on but ours did not and it took them very long to take our order and tables seated after us received noticeably better and faster service. It took a while to get our banchan, which normally comes out very quickly at other KBBQ places. I also had to request multiple times for refills or sauces. On top of that, I had to request our soups several times and their excuse was that the soups are supposed to come at the end of the meal but I saw other tables get theirs before us. When I spoke up about the awful service they were providing, they were apologetic and started giving us more attention but we were nearly done with our food and all of the other tables had left by then so it felt pretty half hearted. Best beef briskets (chadol) I've had in LA and OC area. The meat quality is superb, and the owner says it's wagyu quality -- it really lived up to his word. Just look at the marbling. FYI, we got a large combo, and one of my other favorites was the prime beef short rib (kotsal). Their pork belly and pork jowl was also amazing. Very unpleasant experience, 1. The environment was dirty, fingerprints and dust on the front entrance windows and doors 2. No host in the front to greet us, someone just popped their head out from the kitchen and said to go sit 3. Once the food was served then the employees decided to come out to our table, constantly hovering over our area, it seemed like we were not allowed to cook the meat ourselves, if I grabbed tongs to do it myself they'd come up and take them back 4. We wanted to just leave and get out of there but it took us 4 tries just to get our check and pay The service we received just took out all the fun of going to Korean bbq and getting to grill it for yourself, plus the prices are ridiculous for the portions, you would think with those prices it was all you can eat but it wasn't. read more
