Parking was a cinch in their little lot. (pardon the oxymoron) We dined in our car out there and it was kinda cool watching the Laundromat traffic next door...good people watching. We ordered the CHICKEN SANDWICH. An odd name for what is certainly a Pita Wrap but, they can call it a boat anchor for all I care, THE TASTE was outrageously good. The succulent perfectly seasoned chicken and fresh lettuce and onions with their homemade tzatziki and garlic sauce was right on. I've been coming here for a few years the new girl they have at the counter is extremely rude and unprofessional. Doesn't want to explain what orders are I asked her how many falafels came with the order and she looked confused? So do you not work here? Prices use to be $10.00 less now and the portions continue to get smaller. Might be my last time coming to this location. Business have to realize that people spend their hard earned money on restaurant locations that have good customer service, good prices and are kind. Which was accurate but wtf am I supposed to eat a pound of hummus w 2 pitas? So I asked her if large orders of hummus normally only get 1 pita to which she said yeah Going by that logic does an 8 oz of hummus get no pita or half a pita? I ordered food around 12 noon which is very busy lunchtime. They picked up the phone immediately and we're attentive. I ordered for combo number 13 with four Coca-Cola sodas the total came up to about $75. Let me tell you that the food was amazing. The ambience of this location was perfect. It was very clean, very organized and felt very welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place for anybody that wants to try Mediterranean Food. Next time that I am working in Atwater Village again or in any surrounding areas. I will make sure to order from this place again it was awesome. Mediterranean food is one of my most favorite foods. The freshness is the best part of the meals. Unfortunately, here at this establishment, that was NOT the case. I ordered the lamb kebab meal and I can't even describe how bad the meat tasted. They gave me spoiled meat that tasted so sour I couldn't even finish my meal. Even the salad was bad. How do you mess up a salad??? My stomach was in pain for the rest of the day. I am so happy I did not have a friend with me who wanted to try Mediterranean food for the first time. They would've been turned away forever. Do better and make sure you all are checking your meats and serving fresh food. It's ridiculous that I even have to leave this review. Where do I begin so first I see the cashier and cooks smoking with the door open all the time when I go wash my clothes at the laundry mat next door. Literally all the time and it's disgusting because every time I see them blow the smoke out it just goes back into the kitchen. Service is super rude and very depressing. I ate here once and never again. Till this day I still see all of the employees smoking in the back where the KITCHEN is. Health department should really check this place. I was invited to try this lunch spot and boy am I glad I did. I had the #e combo which clubs with a beef kabob, lule koobideh skewer, rice, salad, hummus, a grilled tomato and pepper. This meal was good enough for two meals. The rice was fluffy, the hummus smooth, the salad refreshing and rhetorical beef cooked just like I love it, medium. I added a side of falafels because I'm greedy. The falafels come in an order of 5 on top of a whole pita and topped of with a sauce. The food was out really quickly and the gentleman at the counter was helpful with my questions. Awesome little place in a tiny plaza with hard to find parking as it shares a space with a laundromat which is packed. The street parking is metered and always full as well. But if you find a spot, snag it and get yourself some food here because it's simply awesome. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The menu is clear with everything laid out in big pictures above the counter. I recommend the schwarama plates, either chicken or beef. Both are great. You get a big helping of meat along with pickled radish, salad, a pita, hummus, and tahini dip. I've eaten here a few times and it's great food at cheap prices. They have ample indoor and outdoor seating, the guy at the counter NEVER smiles but he is nice. their lunch special is a chicken kabob plate on a bed of perfect rice, salad and pita and hummus with a drink for 8.99. THE CHICKEN is succulent and juicy and flavorful and delicious. They have falafel and grape leaves and lamb and all the stuff these mediterranean joints have. hummus, tabouleh, not sure about babagonoush but you get the idea. . The chicken was tasty. The hummus delicious. The Garlic Sauce is intense and flavorful - I'm not sure if the "intense" flavor was that it was getting super sharp because it was close to turning. The two gentlemen were friendly. They greeted us as soon as we walked in. This place does have a parking lot - but it is shared and it gets crowded quickly. The Bathroom is outside - it's dive-ish - so don't expect anything fancy. It's a bit yucky. When you need the bathroom - they hand you a key on a stick - which grossed me out because we all know MANY DON'T WASH THEIR HANDS! My friend ordered the Tahini Chicken Salad and was happy with it. The salad they served with the plate was not very good. It seemed almost like an after thought. So, if you're in the mood for Mediterranean - stop by this place and give it a try.
