Though I think this is one of the smaller locations I've been to, they do have majority of the brands I shop for. I am never disappointed whenever I visit this Sephora location to stock up on my skin care needs. Located across the street from the Cheesecake Factory and with cool dessert shops nearby such as Lette's Macarons, Cafe 86 and Dot's Cupcakes, if you park in the 90 minutes free parking structure, you can wander around the area. Street parking is limited since it is Pasadena and there's actually a valet podium that sets up outside the store for the restaurant next door. The Sephora staff here are great & helpful and the lines are decent where you can just run in & grab what you need right away and leave in a flash. Everything is decently stocked up and offers more brand selections that the Santa Anita mall Sephora location may not offer. read more

I honestly LOVE Sephora because I've learned to just love make-up. So I personally love this location, but it's not my favorite one because the one in Glendale is way bigger! This one is decent sized, but gets quite busy on the daily basis, especially on the weekends. I came here on a late Saturday afternoon and the place was so packed that I could barely move. Girls just gotta have their make-up or skincare! I honestly think I spend way too much here each time I walk in, but luckily this weekend, I stopped myself and didn't buy anything. So a couple of tips about Sephora, is that they have a really good customer service return policy if you the color you bought didn't fit you, or you got an allergic reaction, you can return it. I also really like how you get samples of the perfumes there. I love perfume and always want to try new ones before I purchase it. So every time I go, I would ask for a sample of 2-3 types of perfumes and each one should last me about a week. (: YAY! Then if I like it, I would go online and order it. Well, honestly, Sephora is so known that they are self explanatory, so I wouldn't need to explain it much. The customer service there is superb and the place is nice and clean. Just be careful when you use their sample products on the shelf... could be running with bacterial with so many people using it and all. read more

A man needs to take care of himself too, you know. Don't judge. And yeah, that's right, I'm even a "beauty insider" where I can get samples and stuff which I end up passing on to the gf. Most of my Sephora shopping is fragrances, plus the occasional skin care products. At one point, they were the only place locally where I can get a hold of Masaki Matsushima's line of fragrances, or one of my faves, L'Eau Par Kenzo. I also seem to have sensitive skin and would get irritation from shaving. Thanks to Sephora, pre-shave lotions are a part of my daily routine. We came here August 2012 to find a specific Fresh face wash for my cousin, but the item was out of stock. When we inquired at the register, the associate, Orami, helped us by checking around different Sephora stores in the area. That was great! Also, he offered us free samples of his favorite items and tailored the samples to what kind of skin regimen we required. The staff is very friendly and nice. One specific time I went in looking at kat von d's foundation & one of the girls came up & offered to help match my skin. I will admit - I am an ULTA slut, but I spread my wallet open there for one reason - they carry NYX. If Sephora carried NYX, I would be a Sephora slut. Yes, I love NYX and love Sephora. Sue me. I came here yesterday as a +1 of a dear friend who is a VIB. They had a special event for VIB's and she invited me as her guest. As a result, I got 15% off and some free stuff! Love free stuff! The service is what I expect from Sephora, and they delivered at this location. They were staffed to the hilt, which I'm thinking had to do with the special event. Regardless, it was a fun day and a great experience. This location, like most others, is neat and organized. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. I was introduced to a new skin care line that, while expensive, may be my next purchase all b/c of the vast amount of info I got from the staff. I would return, but would have to save up a little. I can't remember the name of the gentleman who helped me, but he was fantastic. Today I took a trip to the Sephora in Pasadena, CA and left heartbroken. Seriously I will NEVER be back. I went to the store today around 2:30 PM & it was not busy. I began looking for a list of things that I came in to purchase and literally wandered for 20 minutes trying to color match myself to no avail. I went in circles trying to find someone who could help me, but the staff were too busy talking amongst themselves & I didn't think I should have to approach them and get glared at. My boyfriend saw me struggling and approached someone asking if they could help me. The associate reluctantly walked over and was acting so annoyed like I was nothing but an inconvenience. Her condescending tone was completely unwarranted; it wasn't like I was asking something so out of the ordinary to prompt a negative reaction. She called on her headset that I needed some matching and then disappeared. Another 5-10 minutes went by and the first associate I talked to was literally staring at me & talking to another associate. That was the final straw. I started to tear up because today was my 21st birthday and I was so excited to get a LOT of new goodies & a makeover because I'd planned to go out to bars that night. After that huge disappointment I had to go to my car to cry it out. No one should leave the store in tears at ANY Sephora location because of the employees. Came here in a last minute bind. Started to get ready for work and realized I had left my makeup bag at our rental on a recent vacation and was unable to get any of it back. I was in a time crunch as I had work, and needed to replace all my make up and brushes. I normally only buy about half my products at Sephora but needed one stop shopping so I had to figure out what I wanted super fast. The gals here were beyond helpful in helping me figure it all out in a timely manner. I believe the girls who helped me were named Eden and Taylor. I love this place! Huge selection of products and very well staffed. I am always able to get helped and am always thrilled with my foundation match when I leave. I have had my makeup done by the twice and was thrilled with it. They are NOT pushy with buying high end products and listen to my reasons for saving on some products and spending on another. Best Sephora staff I've ever had. I had all these bags from a Christmas shopping extravaganza & the sales girl came up & said "Please let me take these for you while you shop" My bags were huge & weighed at lease 9 - 11 pounds each - Pottery Barn had a big frame sale & I had just bought massive treats at Three Dog Bakery from across the street in addition to carrying my mom's bags. I felt bad & told her thanks but no thanks as she tried to take them off my arms. Besides, it was like a workout since I have skipped the gym a lot lately. That offer alone makes this store stand out, last time I went to my local Sephora I had to consult my iphone Sephora app for help finding a product. It's centrally located, clean & well stocked too! The staff here are always very helpful. Today I was there, hoping to pick up a bag of goodies that was advertised via email for the VIB customers. Unfortunately, they didn't have the bags available, but the saleswoman (so sorry I didn't catch her name!!) was completely wonderful and put together a customized sample bag for me. She then took the time to explain what each sample was for. I can't wait to try them all! I was at the Sephora store (Colorado Blvd. Pasadena location) on Wednesday, December 28th. The Sephora brand eye shadow (Girl Talk) I was seeking was currently sold out so I ordered it at the store (online) with the help of a service rep. Because I needed it for a trip and plan to leave for that trip on Sunday, January 1st.... I paid the extra $10 for 2 day shipping in order to ENSURE it would arrive to my house before i departed on Jan 1st. The person helping me at the store INSISTED it would arrive by Saturday, December 31st as long as I paid extra money for the 2 day shipping, so I did. When I checked the tracking on my package today, it said it would be arriving by January 3rd. This is AFTER my departure date. This is NOT what I was promised with the 2 day shipping charge I paid. When I called customer service to see what was going on, the person on the phone explained that it would be impossible for it to arrive by Saturday when it needs 3-4 days alone to process. She apologized for the in-store person's misinformation and false promise.... even saying it was ridiculous for the person in-store to promise such an impossible thing. I have since CANCELLED my order all together. I do not like that I have wasted 2 days, assuming my order would arrive when promised, when I could have spent that time finding the item at another location. Now, I have no time to do so before my departure... So, I will not have any of the eye shadow I need for my trip. This infuriates me! I am VERY disappointed with this whole situation and don't believe the customer service I received at the Pasadena store location is acceptable. Basically, I was lied to. BOTTOM LINE: The people who work at this location do not know what they are doing when it comes to ordering items online. Clearly, the girl who helped me had no clue how their shipping methods work. She lied to me and promised a delivery within 2 days and was dead wrong, as it is IMPOSSIBLE. Was she misinformed? or trying to take advantage of me? Not so sure myself! read more

I recently became a VIB at Sephora. I was eligible for a "free" makeover (actually it's not free - you need to buy $50 worth of product but it's advertised as free so read the fine print). I called for a makeover and they booked me within the same week. When I arrived, Sal greeted me. He was very friendly, made me feel very comfortable. Sal gave me a great makeover. He introduced me to new products that I absolutely love for my skin type. He provided excellent customer service. I asked for a wing eye, natural makeup, with a neutral smokey eye, and he gave me exactly what I asked for, he did a wonderful job. I was so worried about who I would get to do my makeup, afraid I'm come out looking too overdone or too fake, I so happy Sal was there to help me. He's new too! After reading most of the reviews, I see some things have not changed. Jeff is awesome. If you get a chance, look for him. I've gotten a makeover here and it was precisely what I asked for. It's true that a lot of times it seems the cast members are just hanging out talking to each other. My only tip is skincare. Maria is amazing. Her skin is flawless and she gave me a great facial. Every time I'm in skincare, people approach me to see if I need help. That almost never happens in makeup. Lol read more
