Plant Based Breakfast Mushroom Spinach Scramble

As a vegan, I was happy to see that Sequoia Diner offers a plant-based breakfast option. Overall, I thought it was pretty good! The potatoes were my favorite part of the meal, although they were a little on the oily side. One thing to keep in mind if you're ordering the plant-based breakfast is to ask for no butter on the toast, as it isn't omitted by default. While it wasn't my personal favorite vegan breakfast, I'm glad they have it on the menu. I do wish they offered a few additional menu items that could easily be modified to be vegan. It's also nice that they have gluten-free options, making it easier for groups with different dietary needs to find something to enjoy. I also ordered the Thai iced tea, which was really good. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting perfect for a weekend breakfast. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and only waited about 10 minutes for a table, which was better than I expected. I'd definitely come back and give it another try!

Great service, and food was creative but the noise level was too much to bare - keep that in mind.

Came here for brunch on a Sunday morning after church. The food was ok, the fried chicken was under seasoned and over cooked. The lemonade is made in house, it was good. The hashbrowns were good. If I return I would try something else. 10% gratuity is included in the check . Service was good, helpful and attentive. The

Solid local diner with great brunch! I've only been here on a weekday, and have gotten seated quickly. The interior is very cheerful, with b/w tiles and cute wooden chairs. The staff is usually very attentive and friendly. Food and drinks are always delicious. I'm an omnivore, but keep coming back for their Plant Based Breakfast. It's flavor-packed, pretty, and so filling! Biscuits and gravy, chicken sausage, and turmeric tonic are also our faves. Street parking is usually pretty easy to find. They do include a 20% service fee in their check, so no need to do math at the end of a meal.

I've been wanting to come here for a while. It seems like an older humble establishment from the outside, but it's quite modern and beautiful on the inside! The food was delicious, the crispiest hash browns and thick bacon were sooo good. ALL of workers were attentive and patient. So much good brunch dishes to choose from, I may come go back to try more.

20% service fee. - It gets crowded. On weekends, it's best to arrive before opening. - Very good service. It's more like you are dining at someone's kitchen table. 5: The Waffle is great. Ask for it well done to get it more crispy. I bring my own real maple syrup in a little jar. 5: Coconut thai tea is great. 5: Pecan sticky bun is great.

Sequoia Diner is a cute, cozy little diner with a warm neighborhood feel. Service was quick and easy during our visit. We came on a holiday, so it was quieter than usual, but most of the time this place is packed and can be difficult to get into. I'd definitely recommend calling ahead or making a reservation if possible. The food was delicious and very comforting. I ordered the Country Breakfast, which comes with biscuits and gravy, potatoes, eggs, and greens. It was hearty, filling, and exactly the kind of breakfast you want on a relaxing morning. My husband ordered the chilaquiles and really enjoyed the flavors, though he was disappointed that the dish initially came out cold. The staff kindly reheated it for him without any issues and were very friendly and accommodating about it. We also shared a waffle for the table, and honestly, that ended up being the star of the meal. It was perfectly fluffy and delicious in every bite. If you come here, definitely order a waffle to share.

Recommended by a local friend who knows I love historic diners with good food. The color palette is off white and mint green with wood accents. Very spacious with some vintage mirrors on thralls (wish there was a bit more decor in the walls). Decent lattes, coffee, and even alcohol options. Love their daily homemade baked goods. Tried their biscuit with homemade jam. Definitely the "star". Wish I could eat more of their baked goods! My friend had the chilaquiles with Chorizo. Not your typical version. It was the marked tortilla chips with scrambled eggs on top. The chorizo was not mixed in but more like sausage links on the side. It didn't have salsa on top. Disappointing. I got the beef cheek special. Beautiful display of food: the beef checks weee re braised and cooked to perfection but the pasta was overcooked and not really needed for the dish. The steam veggies were ok but needed seasoning. The pickle radish was good and sunny side up egg (need seasoning). I'd try more of their baked items next time. The entrees were just ok.

I love going to sequoia diner not just to support a local business but also because the food is great I can pop in there real easy and get grits. Eggs sausage hash And I have an option of eating in or getting it to go. This is a very convenient place. The staff is very nice and since it's so busy you may have to wait a second to get your order in but once they get you they'll take care of you. I'd highly recommend the number one breakfast sandwich easy serve a little Salad, fruit some jam biscuits and works. Often there's room at the bar so you can sit there and have a meal or you can get it to go or eat in ! The atmosphere is really nice. Staff is very friendly and helpful and I'd highly recommend you try it out.

My new favorite brunch diner! I love everything about it. From the customer service, the ambience, the booths/seating, the food!

I had a whole conversation with the server about my nails (little things like this make the experience more personal). I think my favorite option is getting a vanilla soft serve cone for later. I appreciate that they did not put too much BBQ sauce because that always drenches the buns and makes the eating process very messy. The fries were also great - fresh potatoes? Corn fritters were underwhelming for its price point, would've been fine not getting it. While the food was pretty solid, the extremely long wait and the packed seats are what makes my rating go down. Lovely's is a very popular spot, even for a weekday dinner. The vibes are immaculate. It offers both indoor and outdoor seats, very spacious. However, because of the amount of people, the wait in line was a bit more than 30 minutes. Then adds another wait to get the food. On top of all the waiting, seating options become limited and you will most likely be stuck with the outdoor tables, which can be unfortunate on a very cold evening. If you're hungry, don't come here. But if you don't mind the wait, this is definitely a great spot with great company.

The place looked nice and neat, tables clean, well lit, and overall the atmosphere was pretty upbeat on a Sunday morning. Even the staff was attentive to our needs and quick to bring us what we needed. However, the food wasn't what we expected. I ordered chilaquiles, my girl ordered the BLT, and we got the loaded potato wedges as an appetizer. Their chilaquiles need work. They didn't have the option of salsa rojo or Verde, it was just rojo (red). There was little to no cheese in the dish. There was sour cream mixed in but honestly that should be a side to add for oneself. I could've done without the use of red onion, or substitute with it with a yellow or white onion. The egg was not all that great to where I had to add a some salt & pepper myself. And I could tell that the avacado used wasn't ripe. I tried to cut into the dish and mix it up for more flavor but after a few bites I gave up. The BLTG wasn't that great either. The fries were a little too soft and not as crispy as they looked. The ranch tasted more like mayo. The avacado spread, used in the sandwich, didn't taste as good as expected either. The loaded potato wedges were the only saving grace of the entire meal. Needless to say, the meals were disappointing. Maybe down the line we'll come back and try something different, but it won't be anytime soon.

First of all, my order was TO-GO. And let me tell you... when I got home and opened that bag, I was honestly blown away. My food was packaged with so much care, precision, and pride--it was neat, organized, and handled like it actually mattered. That alone told me everything about the level of service in that building. Candalen--YOU DID THAT. The attention to detail on my plate did not go unnoticed. You treated my food like it was being served in-house, and that speaks volumes about your work ethic and pride in what you do. Aaron--listen... that peach lemon drop??? BABY. That was my first time trying one and it was EVERYTHING. Smooth, flavorful, perfectly balanced--you made that drink an experience all by itself. I will be back JUST for that. And let's talk about the vibe--the music, the energy, the atmosphere--it all came together in a way that made the entire visit feel GOOD. Not just food... a whole experience. But what really stands out is this: It has been a LONG time since I've experienced service this genuine, this intentional, and this excellent. Not rushed, not careless--EXCEPTIONAL. From the menu we saw they were out of beef ribs, smoked chicken, rib tips, no peach cobbler, no banana pudding and no kool aid. I come for their brisket and my friend loves ribs so we went ahead and ordered combo plates to share. Mine was the brisket with a side of collard greens, she had the pork ribs, a hotlink with a side of Mac-n-cheese, & cornbread. For drinks we had lemonade and an Arnold Palmer. I'm not sure what has happened over the last few months but the quality of the food, the service and the expectation to pay and tip up front were very disappointing. The greens, Mac cheese, brisket and ribs were cold. The hotlink wasn't BBQ'ed it was pan fried. Everything tasted like warmed up leftovers and we will not return. For 2 of us to eat it came to $100 and we were not satisfied. The dining room is an attractive space, it was completely empty. The staff was unclear about what we ordered, had to be told to bring our drinks, bartender is also working as server and apologized for his uncertainty. I suggest this restaurant hire and train more staff if they intend to keep their doors open.

Skip: - fried chicken, dry and a lot of batter, sandwich and the chick/waffle - shrimp and grits - congealed fast - drip coffee, good flavor, not burnt but not strong, small also $3.50, no refills Bathrooms are all gendered and shared with the museum goers. Lots of metered parking on the street $3/hr. Great service - will be back in the future!
