    Vodka Pizza
    Thomas T.

A beautiful restaurant you can easily walk by on Newbury Street. It's located under the street level. The interior has a really great vibe with European influence. The fig salad is very good and I'm not a huge goat cheese fan. The strawberries were a really nice touch and I really enjoyed everything together. The vodka pizza has a good crisp undercarriage with a good amount of toppings. I wish it had a stronger vodka sauce profile. Overall the food and service are good.

Came for dinner and the place was busy. Instead of waiting 20 minutes for a table, we opted to sit at the bar. The bar area was a bit dark without overhead lighting, but luckily we were offered a table before we even ordered. I ordered the gnocchi and added grilled chicken. The dish came out great. The grilled chicken was cut into small pieces and mixed in with the gnocchi and sauce. The tomatoes were nicely grilled and soft, and the sauce was creamy. The gnocchi was as smooth as can be, almost dissolving with just a little pressure from the tongue. Very satisfying in both flavor and portion. Will return again if I'm in the area and recommend.

One thing about me is that I love a creamy and thick carbonara! Its exactly what I got at this place. The service was quick and nice. The ambience was nice since I sat outside and the sun was good.

Very good portions and quality Italian food. Decent amount of options and quick service. Had Tagliolini Al Tartufo Nero with salmon. Was great.

Wow, wow! The food here was absolute delicious! I can't say it has super authentic italian flavors, but the tastes are of a more elevated style and bring exactly what you'd crave in any hearty italian dish. I highly recommend the vodka pasta- it was cooked to an absolutely perfect al dente and coated in a cheesy, creamy sauce. Additionally, pairing it with the arugula salad is a great choice to create a balanced plate and to add some variety. If we're nitpicking here (and I feel like you have to with the plethora of great italian food in Boston), I'd say the pasta lacked that traditional vodka tang and the salad was a little over dressed. Plus, the meal was definitely pricey, but that's honestly expected on Newbury Street , and for the quality, portion size, and experience I'd say it's worth it! The vibes of the restaurant were buzzing and it's a great energizing spot for a nice meal with friends. If I had one complaint, the service was a little slow and awkward for being a classier spot, but the vibes were still great and I would definitely come back every once in a while or for special occasion. This is a great reliable spot for a meal in Back Bay!

The food was SO delicious. The bread basket was a nice starter, however our waiter forgot to send our appetizer to the kitchen, so we never received to try. Our drinks & food came out very slowly, which isn't a huge issue, rather just something to note if you're in a rush. The restaurant was pretty crowded, but stayed relatively quiet to hear your party.

Service is good & so is the food. Although, I do think that the Rigatoni Bolognese could be boiled a little longer. Other than that, the food is pretty yummy!

I went a while back during Dine out Boston. The restaurant is in the basement but very cozily decorated. Good date night spot. Service was good. Tiramisu - best part of dinner. So soft and not too sweet. The fresh fruit was a good contrast to the sweet cream. Branzino - the dish was perfectly cooked and very tender. The tomato sauce wasn't too acidic and the mash potatoes were silky smooth Fig pizza - nice cheese pull. Fig was a nice sweet contrast to the salty pizza and prosciutto Meatballs - mushy and blandly spicy. The tomato sauce redeemed it Chicken parm with vodka pasta - small portion and not too special. Standard chicken cutlet and the vodka sauce broke.

Food was tasty, portions decent and the service is very good here. High prices but it's in a very nice area of Boston.

Serafina Back Bay is a fantastic place to find some delicious Italian food! Menu: They have a pretty extensive menu, covering all the standard pastas and pizza dishes you might expect from an Italian restaurant. Everything looks and smells delicious, and based on what I observed, everyone seems to enjoy the meals. I had the salmon plate recently and it did not disappoint. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the blend of flavors was top notch. They do have quite a few dishes that can accommodate different allergies and dietary restrictions. The menu has a handful of dishes that are dairy-free or vegan (or can be adapted to be vegan) and there is an option to sub gluten-free pasta for the pasta dishes. Experience: The ambiance inside is super chill! I love that you get to experience a calming, pleasant atmosphere, even when every table is filled. It doesn't feel like you have to start yelling across the table, and you still get a sense of privacy between the tables. If you are hoping to come in for a dinner at a certain time, I recommend making a reservation in advance. I did this and was seated promptly, and greeted by a kind server immediately. The restaurant is busy so for a bigger group, would definitely recommend planning ahead to avoid a long wait. Once seated, they provide complimentary bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, which is a nice way to start the meal. The servers we had were very kind, attentive, and had great recommendations on the menu and specials. Location: They are located right in the heart of Newbury Street, surrounded by so many fun shops and other cafes and restaurants. The entrance is tucked away from the street, and during the colder seasons, you might miss it if you are just strolling by (and don't pay attention to the yellow awning outside). t's nice because you really get to enter into a chill environment that you forget about the hustle and bustle on the street outside.

Great place!! Loved the food and ambiance. Had the pasta alla vodka and an arugula salad. Highly recommend!

This place as so cute! Stopped in by myself for dinner while in town for work. The server was so nice and suggested the house made pasta. I got carbonara and it was good. My only complaint is that I don't like peas in my carbonara but I understand that is how some places will prepare it. Overall a great little place on Newbury!

So yum! My party and I had a reservation here after seeing Hamilton in the theater district! Everyone loved their food. I got the penne alla vodka- so creamy, delicious, and flavorful! Their wine selection Is excellent as well. I recommend the orange wine if you sit outside a gorgeous day- definitely added to the experience! Our overall service was great. We arrived ~15 minutes early and we got a table fast.

As tables became available, they would call people inside. I ended up at a small table by the bar area. I ordered a small chicken and prosciutto pizza. It was excellent and perfectly cooked as promised. The flavor combination was great: prosciutto, chicken, spinach, ricotta, roasted peppers, sauce, and mozzarella. So big I couldn't finish it. (Hubby was happy because he got to try something too when I got back.) In terms of service, it's the north end so a little brusque, but you'll be happy you came.

We ordered a pizza by phone during the St. Anthony Feast, and the woman who took our order was curt and rude from the start -- I chalked it up to the festival rush. But it got worse when we picked up. We paid $32 for a pizza and asked if we could sit inside to eat it and there were plenty of available tables. We were told no -- inside is table service only, and takeout means you take it and eat elsewhere. Fine, except there was nowhere to sit outside at the festival. When we asked about using one of their own outdoor tables (they had roughly 30, and it was 11:15am, 45 minutes before the festival even started, so the tables were empty), we were told those were reserved for table-service customers only. This was after we'd already spent $32 in their restaurant. Regina's has been around for 100 years, but somewhere along the way they stopped caring about basic hospitality. Paying customers with nowhere to eat their food shouldn't be treated as an inconvenience. We won't be back.

While the kitchen delivered a solid meal, the service was so profoundly disappointing that it completely overshadowed the food. The culinary side of things easily earns a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars. We ordered a wide variety of items to share, and the highlights included: * The Pizzas: Creative flavor combinations with fresh, high-quality toppings and fantastic crusts. * The Bucatini Pasta: Perfectly cooked and packed with rich flavor. * The Asparagus Appetizer & The Chicken Milanese: Both executed well, flavorful, and cooked to a high standard. Unfortunately, the front-of-house experience was uniformly horrible. For a large party, hospitality can make or break the night, and our server missed the mark at every single turn: * Argumentative & Dismissive: He actively argued with our host regarding an appetizer that had been ordered in advance. When asked about vegetarian substitutions for a sold-out pasta dish, he curtly replied, "Pasta with butter is all we can do"--despite the fact that we could clearly see a wide variety of fresh vegetables being used right on their pizzas. * Inattentive: Dirty dishes piled up on our table, and when we politely asked for them to be cleared, he claimed he needed to get help and walked away completely empty-handed. Our drink orders were rarely checked on or refilled. * Rude to Guests: He displayed visible attitude and put-off body language whenever anyone asked a simple question. This peaked when he was outright rude to one of the young women in our party who simply wanted to put her order in a bit early because she had to leave before the rest of the group. It is a real shame because the ingredients and the kitchen's output are genuinely good. However, between the hostile attitude and the lack of basic service standards, we unfortunately won't be rushing back.

Even though I was born and raised in the Boston area and have resided here for the entirety of my three decade long life, I've never had the original Santarpio's pizza until just now. Ever since then I've always thought to myself, "the original has gotta be better, right?" Well, my boyfriend and I finally made our way to the original Santarpio's on a Saturday a little after noon. The place isn't much to look at but was hopping for the weekend lunch rush with almost every table full, and we got put in what appeared to be one of the last available tables in the place. Our order was taken very quickly after sitting down. The menu is strictly pizza with around a dozen toppings to choose from and a handful of grilled meats. That's it. We ordered a pizza with garlic and hot peppers as well as a steak tip skewer. The steak tips were juicy and cooked nicely, but they tasted like they lacked seasoning or marinade so I had to sprinkle some salt and pepper on them. Of course, the pizza is what we were really there for and I can tell you that it checks all the boxes for a classic pizza. The crust is on the thinner, crispier side which I actually prefer. The pie as a whole had a great color and good flavor between the cheese, sauce and toppings. After experiencing it for myself, it's pretty easy to understand why Santarpio's is so highly regarded in the world of pizza. They stick to what they know and they execute it well.

To me, service and hospitality are a huge part of the dining experience, and that initial welcome just didn't set the tone I was hoping for on my birthday. A heads-up if you're driving: there isn't parking immediately nearby, so expect to walk a little. Also, pay attention once you're on the street because GPS can be a little misleading when trying to locate the entrance. Thankfully, our server, Alexia was great! She was very kind, sweet, and attentive. I actually had to tell her myself that it was my birthday, and once she knew, she did what was necessary to acknowledge it and make the occasion feel a little more special. I really appreciated her for that. The food was good as well. I didn't end up trying any of their cocktails, which is unusual for me, especially during a birthday dinner. By that point, the overall experience just hadn't put me in the celebratory mood I had expected when I chose Yvonne's for the occasion. Maybe my expectations were higher because this was somewhere I'd wanted to visit for so long, but hospitality matters to me, especially at an establishment like this.
