Bruschetta
Candice L.

This restaurant was within walking distance of our hotel so we decided to check it out. They had a nice wine selection and the lobster ravioli was delicious. I wanted a bit more from the bruschetta, maybe a hint of basalmic glaze or something like that would have tied all the flavors in. All in all, I'd recommend trying this place if in the vicinity

Service was great, and nice vibes all around. Serafina has multiple locations across the city, so it's a dependable spot for good food. Unfortunately on this particular Wednesday evening, it seemed most of the dishes we ordered lacked salt or flavor in general. For apps we ordered the meatballs, bruschetta, and calamari. Meatballs were good; calamari was your average calamari, and the bruschetta tasted like crispy bread with diced tomatoes, but nothing other to note. I ordered the orecchiette. The red sauce wasn't flavorful, (it could have used more salt), and in fact the dish itself was quite bitter because of the broccoli rabe within the dish. While the pasta was cooked to a good al dente texture, I wouldn't recommend that dish.

My husband took me and our kids to Serafina, a place I had always wanted to visit. I was so excited when I found out where we were going. Upon entering, I loved the decor; it was so pretty! The service was also impressive--everyone was very nice. Unfortunately, the food did not meet my expectations. I was shocked because I had heard good things about the restaurant. For appetizers, we ordered meatballs and fried calamari. The meatballs were disappointing; I love meatballs, and honestly, I make better ones at home. On the other hand, the fried calamari was good and probably the only highlight of the meal. For main courses, I ordered shrimp pasta, my 8-year-old had spaghetti and meatballs, my other daughter had pepperoni pizza, and my husband ordered spicy rigatoni. My shrimp pasta was very bland, and my husband's dish wasn't spicy at all. I did enjoy a delicious strawberry martini. As for the pepperoni pizza, my daughter mentioned that the crust wasn't crunchy enough and said she had encountered better. Overall, based on this experience, I will not be returning to Serafina.

Stopped by for lunch. Out of cantaloupe starter. No steak and fries available. The pasta and cannoli were okay. Nothing special here.

I came here for lunch on Monday with some colleagues and the food was very good. It's a small restaurant with cute interior decor. They've got a nice spot wine and cocktail selection, even with non-alcoholic wine options. My only issue with this place is that service was a bit slow. Definitely not enough time to come here for an hour lunch.

$31 salad that I couldn't finish...

Expensive, but a nice escape from the canyons of Wall Street. Food was not memorable, and neither myself nor my partner could finish their salads. Leo's Bagels around the corner is a better deal.

Had a pleasant dinner at Serafina Vino E Cucina on a busy Friday evening. Started with the Calamari and for entrees had the Fettuccine Bolognese, Salmon and the Chicken Parmigiana - though none particularly stood out, all were solid. For dessert we had the Cheesecake and the Chocolate Soufflé (which seemed close to a Molten Chocolate Cake) that provided a nice finish to the meal. Very nice decor and friendly service.

Decent establishment. Standard restaurant with a nice ambiance. Food was good. I got a linguini pomodoro. It was flavorful and a good portion. Service was pretty good. The waitress was attentive and gave food suggestions. I would reckoned stopping in for lunch or dinner. Can't go wrong.

Nice ambiance for a sit down lunch, a good break on a tiring morning tour. Inside is clean and tables were covered in starchy white linen. Music is not too loud - giving us a very relaxing and comfortable feel. Lunch menu comprises of the usual Italian fare - classic antipasti, insalate, risotti & ravioli, pasta, secondi piatti, and vegetables.. We ordered the SPAGHETTI ALLE VONGOLE and SERAFINA BURGER and were very happy with our choices. Server is very nice. Knowing that we're tourists, he was helpful with giving us directions to a site we're looking for.

We ordered three appetizers. Meatballs - Burrata - Tartare . Meals were steak and salmon. Everything tasted great. Portions were very small but the wait staff was great and so was the food. We ordered 4 $40 tequila shots as well as lattes. It was a great dining experience. We were there from 5:30 - 9pm at night. Casual vibes and great drink selection.

We went here for lunch the other day. The place was packed. Although it took a while to get our lunch, everything was delicious. This is a place I would try again. Great food, nice atmosphere, and nice servers. Check it out.

Beautiful decor. Drinks were great but the food left much to be desired. Chicken parm was bland but the Brussels were decent. The bartender was really nice as well. Probably will visit again but for drinks only.

Tuna Tartare

Came here for a work lunch with my coworkers and initially everything started out great, we had made reservations so we got seated right away. We opted for the pre fix menu since it looked like a great deal. I chose the tuna tartare which was delicious and I highly recommend (it did cost $5 extra) I was debating between wagyu burger or the spicy pasta and I should have gotten the pasta cause the burger was dry (I ordered it medium rare too) and didn't taste like a Wagyu burger to me. Two of my coworkers who ordered the serafina Wagyu burger also in medium well had their burgers come out mooing, their burger was more rare than mine that they had to send it back. I did like their mocktails it wasn't overly sweet which was a hit with the group. Afterwards my VP ordered sorbet and they gave her gelato instead. I ordered their tiramisu and thought it was really good. Staff were apologetic but the restaurant wasn't busy so none of us understood why there were so many mishaps. I would come back for the tuna tartare mocktails and the tiramisu. Everything else I'd pass on.

Waiter was great. Couldn't have been better. Food was horrible. Just get some wine if you come here

Water and excellent bread arrived immediately and the waiter was helpful describing dishes and giving advice. Salads were fresh and crisp. Caesar was nicely dressed and the mixed salad was a nice combination with well balanced herb vinaigrette. Seafood dishes had large amounts of fresh seafood and the veal picatta had the lemony flavor you expect without excessive acidity. Dessert was tasty and innovative. The ricotta based cheese cake wasn't as smooth as the cream cheese form but the citrus flavor was great. Throughout the meal water and bread were refilled, plates from completed courses removed and next delivered without being overly hovering. All in all a really great meal.

It works especially well for a mixed group since they have plenty of options including dishes without meat and everyone can find something. Even my picky niece and nephew were happy. My favorite entree is the Capellini Puttanesca, with capers, olives, basil, and anchovies. It's super tasty, satisfying, and the perfect portion. I also love that they offer wine by the glass and the service is consistently attentive. The waiters are always moving through the room, checking tables, refilling water, and making sure people have what they need. It's good, reliable, and near Broadway.
