Start with the Shrimp Fondue. It is a three cheese shrimp dip that is delicious. The wedge was great with heirloom tomatoes and extra blue cheese crumbles. We had a party of 3 and ate at this restaurant on 9/3/24. We had a wonderful meal and the waiter was excellent. The next week I wanted to surprise my sister with a gift card for helping take care of my children while I was on a trip out of town. I purchased a $200 gift card online on Monday. I never heard back from the restaurant and then had to call 3 times as they did not respond. On Thursday, I called back again and was told that the gift card did not process because they thought it was fraud. It did not decline on my credit card, it showed pending nor did I receive an email saying it was declined due to fraud....No communication at all!! So, I am 4 days out without a gift for my sister. The staff I spoke with was less than concerned with helping me. I know places have to be careful with fraud but this is at the expense of customer service which they just lost two families because we WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN!!! Nashville has many nice restaurants that value their customers and especially if they are trying to be a repeat customers. read more

This was my first time for lunch at Serrato's and it was fantastic! The food was beyond delicious and the service was attentive. You definitely feel like you are in an upscale restaurant that's warm and friendly. The owner even stopped by to make sure everything was perfect. This was a business lunch and we both ended up ordering the lunch combo with a half steak sandwich and I had the house salad and my associate ordered the crab bisque. The steak was very flavorful and tender and the hoagie it was served on made me feel like I was in a French cafe. The salad was colorful and tasty and the house made vinaigrette dressing was divine. This is a great lunch spot, whether for business or with friends, and the prices are very reasonable for the high quality food they serve. The menu also has a diverse selection and I'm looking forward to going back to have a filet for dinner in the near future. Definitely recommend Serrato's. read more

We went to Serrato's last night for dinner. ALL of our dishes were superb: pork chops, ribs, couscous, truffle Mac and cheese and fries. It is hard to pick a favorite dish. But I will go with the truffle Mac and cheese The dining area is lovely and is not too noisy with dishes and neighboring conversations. I am making plans to go at least twice a month. Why not? Everyone needs a special meal out that is guaranteed to be very good. read more

We live close and enjoy our visits to Serrato's as they always make you feel like family. However, our last visit was a major disappointment. We were in for a late lunch and ordered the lunch pork chop and airplane chicken piccata. The chicken was excellent. The pork chop, not so much as it was a thin chop and was dry. The ladybug in my husbands salad was an unexpected addition! And while we can overlook a dry chop, when the ladybug was reported to staff, their remediation was to ask if he wanted another salad (Ah....no thank you) or a different side item. We did not see the manager or the owner and no compensation was given or offered. While we enjoy Serrato's it may be after ladybug season before we revisit. read more

I've been wanting to try this place since they've opened! I live right behind it and idk why it took me so long. The food is amazing and the steak is seasoned perfectly! I got the filet mignon and it was amazing. The calamari came out hot and delicious and their blue olive martini is *chef's kiss*. My boyfriend got the steak salad and it came with a really good horseradish salad dressing that wasn't too strong. We both really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and staff. The only tiny downfall would be that their wine pours are a little small LOL. We have gone twice now and will continue to when we want to spoil ourselves :) read more

A local food group had noted how great the food was,so the wife and I decided to check it out. Ambiance: As noted by others, the restaurant sits in a strip mall, which in itself is not an indictment. Once inside, it doesn't feel like you're in a strip mall. The place is clean and the décor is pleasant. 4.5 stars on a tasteful and well-maintained facility Service: We were greeted and seated promptly, into one of the comfortable booths along the wall. I should note, being a large man that I appreciated the room afforded by the booth-to-table spacing. I didn't feel like I was a mile from my wife and my food, but I also did not feel cramped. Our server was friendly, professional and timely. As no point did it feel that our meal was rushed or delayed. They were a bit slow, so sometimes, people can lose track, or speed up due to lack of tables. She did an excellent job. 5 stars for great service. Drink: The wine, liquor and cocktail menu can best be described as succinct. There is not a ton of fluff on the drinks menu. If you fancy some obscure wine, beer or liquor, you probably will not find it here. The drink menu sticks to popular domestic wine, and like most steak houses, is heavy on Cabernet. The drinks that we did order were well executed and tasty. I ordered the Apple Cider Bourbon cocktail, while my wife ordered a French Martini. Though our server (and probably the bartender) were not familiar with her drink, they did a great job at improvising. Overall, 5 stars on drink execution, and 4 stars on drink variety. Food: Unfortunately, problems began to arise when the food began to appear. For our appetizer, we ordered the special: a jumbo lump crab cake. It arrived rather quickly after ordering, and while very good and loaded with crab meat, was too thick for the cook to realize that the center was not fully heated. So, while it arrived quickly, and appeared perfectly golden brown, the outside was already starting to cool from the cold center. We knew that the cold crabmeat wouldn't hurt us, so we finished the appetizer. However, I would have preferred a properly cooked and completely heated crab cake. For the mains, my wife ordered the steak sandwich, and I ordered the NY strip with truffle mac and cheese. I ordered my steak medium, and the wife ordered hers as medium rare. When the entrees arrived, everything looked perfect. My steak looked cooked to perfection, and my wife's steak sandwich also looked perfect. Unfortunately, my steak suffered the same fate as the crab cake. I cut into the end, and the temperature could at best be described as rare. To me however, the temperature looked closer to blue rare. Fully 2/3 of the 1.5 inch steak was still raw, and cool to the touch. Our server noted my concern, and took the steak back to be refired. Unfortunately, upon return, it was still on the cold side of rare. So, it went back again. This time, they finally got it right, but who wants to sit and watch their partner work through their meal as you sit and wait for the kitchen, at a self-proclaimed steakhouse, struggle to properly cook a steak? Simply stick a thermometer into the steak and figure it out. It's not rocket science. Once my steak did arrive, properly cooked, it was a great steak. The truffle mac and cheese was exemplary, and my wife's steak sandwich, the rare bit of it that she actually shared with me, was fantastic. It's all a moot point however, when you consider it took them two more tries to get the correct temperature on my steak. By that point, the experience had been spoiled. Overall, 4.5 stars on food flavor, and 1.5 stars on food execution. Dessert. We went with the Crème Brulee, which neither wowed, nor disappointed. 3 stars here. Value: Their prices are fair, and comparable to other steak houses in the area. However, many of those steakhouses are located in higher end real estate, with higher rents, and a kitchen staff that know how to properly cook a steak the first time. I will say that the quality of the cut I received was notably better than some that I've had at a downtown Franklin steakhouse, not far from Serratos. So, the bottom line is, if you want a great steak in the Franklin area, you have many options. Serratos is the new kid on the block, and is clearly still figuring it out. They have ton of steak and seafood options: more so than many independent steak houses in the area. Other steak houses are a bit more adventurous when it comes to food and drink, while Serratos leans conservative. Which, itself is a bit odd. Given the owner's Latin heritage, I was a bit surprised about the lack of Latin inspiration in the menu items. Regardless, we will be back. The food is borderline outstanding, if they can figure out how to fire it properly. read more

We live nearby and I'm embarrassed to admit we had not tried Serrato's yet. My wife and I had dinner tonight to celebrate her birthday. We had a great meal, the service was outstanding and the atmosphere is great - elegant inside but welcoming and comfortable. Every dish we saw looked very very good - we had the bbq shrimp appetizer, split a salad and I had the twin filets: my wife had the Grouper special. Definitely worth noting: not only was the food excellent, the presentation of each dish was as good as I've ever seen anywhere! Plates looked almost too beautiful to eat but we did anyway . We finished by splitting a crème brûlée and an Irish coffee. The owner even popped by our table and we had a nice conversation with him as well. What a nice guy. Mariana was our server; she was AWESOME! My son claimed that his Shrimp and Salmon were the best he's had!
