It was such a small portion, i thought they had mistakingly given me a kids plate instead of the $16 dollar entree. I was still so hungry after scarfing that down, I ordered Fried pickles & peppers. It wasn't tasty at all! That appetizer was very greasy and over fried. For $10, there wasn't much of it, But, I didn't care because I didn't like it anyway. The pickles were small, and the peppers were so tiny, I couldn't even taste them. They were served with house made Ranch that didn't taste like ranch, more like a glob of sour cream. Service was great! They were apologetic for food not being up to par and asked me to come back for another try. I will go back, but if I'm displeased again, that'll be the last time. Too many places in Franklin to choose from to settle on mediocre food! I'm thinking I may go at happy hour and try the 1/2 price chicken fingers next time. I also had my eye on the Thai Peanut Chicken salad, so I may try it too.

Our server Luke S., was kind, friendly, helped with suggestions, answered questions and was a sharp server! Thanks Luke! Their small patio with umbrella covered tables was dog friendly and were it cooler that day, we would have enjoyed dining al fresco! My French Dip and fries were fresh and delicious! My pinot grigio was great! Sister's both loved their Reuben/tater tots, cocktail, and fish and chips. Honestly, I would get the Reuben next time! It really looked fabulous with a beyond-generous portion of meat!! The restrooms were clean, too. Parking was ample! And there was zero wait for a table on a Sunday afternoon. There were plenty of TVs to watch sports and things, and the menu was extensive offering numerous sides, meat and threes, and tons more! My only complaint is the plastic covered menus were sticky and really needed a good wiping down, as were most of the tables, and I had to ask for things like a set up for me, and I had to get bev naps since no extra full sized table napkins were provided to us, nor were they readily available at the server's section. To Luke's credit, I didn't ask him for extra napkins; however, we did need them. Thanks, Corner Pub, for providing a nice, filling meal and beverages with zero wait and zero hiccups to my Sorority Sisters and me!

Multiple friends have also raved about their wings! There's a super cute kids section play area. The bar seems to have a lot of variety of different types of beer on top. I sampled a few, but really enjoyed the grapefruit Italian soda, which had 4.2% alcohol. It was really smooth and delicious! Everyone that works there is super friendly, and it's a cool place to hang out and gather with friends!

Jonathan ordered the Double Oaked Old Fashioned--we were warned it was high proof and spirit-forward, which is exactly our style. It did not disappoint. I went with the Tea Time Old Fashioned, made with tea-infused whiskey, and it was everything I hoped for: reminiscent of a sweet tea bourbon, but more bourbon-forward and not overly sweet. Both drinks were dangerously good--we finished them way too quickly. They were unfortunately out of cheese for the charcuterie board, so we pivoted to the "Main Stream Mix" of nuts. We made our Valentine's Day reservation more than a week in advance and arrived early, yet still waited nearly an hour past our reservation time to be seated. The restaurant was clearly understaffed and unprepared for the evening. What was never disclosed ahead of time was that Valentine's Day featured a very limited menu at nearly $100 per person, with multiple upcharges. While we waited, customers were already complaining that the restaurant was running out of food. By the time we were finally seated, there were only one or two options left on an already limited menu. At that point, we were simply trying to make the best of a bad situation. Our server was visibly overwhelmed, and I genuinely felt for him. The couple seated next to us was so frustrated that they left no tip at all, so I tipped extra on their behalf. Guests were actively walking out and warning others in line how bad things were. One couple even decided to leave and eat at a nearby fast-food restaurant instead. This was a massive missed opportunity. The food was mediocre at best, wildly overpriced, and the overall experience was poorly managed from start to finish. We will not be returning and do not recommend this restaurant, especially for a special occasion.

When we checked in, the hostess asked for our name and the number in our party and wrote it down on a notepad. I had to clarify that we already had a 7:00 PM reservation for two. She didn't appear to be referencing the tablet system, and it may not have been functioning. Throughout the evening, she was walking around with her notepad, going table to table asking for names. It all felt very unorganized, and honestly, I felt badly for her being put in that position. We were told they were running 20-25 minutes behind and could wait near the bar. We grabbed a high-top near the jazz quartet and settled in. As we waited, we noticed several couples come in, wait, and eventually leave. A couple next to us who had arrived about 15 minutes before we did repeatedly checked with the hostess about their table. At 7:45, they were finally seated. By that point, we had been waiting nearly an hour past our reservation time. During the wait, my wife went to the restroom and came back concerned. The ladies' room was not clean and was out of paper towels. She also noticed that about half the dining room tables were empty, with a significant amount of bussed food sitting out in the open. I checked the men's restroom myself and found the trash overflowing and paper towels all over the floor. It did not inspire confidence--especially regarding what the kitchen might look like. As I stood in line to let the hostess know we would be leaving, the couple who had just been seated walked back out and told us several items on the preset $89-per-person Valentine's menu were already unavailable--including the shrimp. Running out of key items that early in the evening on a fixed holiday menu is simply unacceptable. Had we stayed, our bill likely would have been around $300 with dinner and wine. Instead, after waiting nearly an hour and seeing the condition of the restaurant, we chose to leave. Several other couples did the same. We ended up at Tito's Mexican Restaurant, which wasn't our first choice for Valentine's dinner--but at least we were seated, served, and able to enjoy our evening. What makes this especially disappointing is that we gave Ludlow & Prime a try last Valentine's Day as well. We went earlier (around 5 PM) and were told they were already out of our preferred dessert. Fool me once. We decided to give them another chance this year--and unfortunately, it was worse. The restaurant wants to position itself as a high-end dining experience, but the service, preparation, and execution simply don't match the price point. There are far better options in Franklin at this level. We won't be back, and we cannot recommend it to others.

The Pond doesn't disappoint. It is exactly what one would expect when seeking a dive bar atmosphere. A little ratty, a little rowdy and a whole lot of fun. The coup de grace was they had Guinness on tap, which was completely unexpected. We traveled to Franklin looking for an alternative to Broadway in Nashville on our first night in town. It is worth the trip. Franklin is a very old town with great old architecture and buildings over 200 years old that still look stunning. The Pond was the real reason for my drive down although it was our last stop on our tour of Franklin. The staff was friendly, the Hamburger and fries was delicious, and the beer was cold. They have many options to choose from on tap. They have Darts inside and a couch you'd find down in your friends basement that he found on a tree bank trash day, but that simply adds to the dive bar charm. We stayed for one drink and the burger as we were exhausted from a red eye flight the night before. If you're looking for a dive bar that stays open late and apparently gets packed as the night goes on, this is the spot for you. Most places close early in Franklin, so this is apparently the after hours spot that everyone ends up going to when all other options are closed. The Pond reminded me of a few dive bar spots in Vegas, and I have to recommend you pay them a visit, if for no other reason, just to say you've been there.

First was a food temp problem which went back to the kitchen and returned satisfactory. The second was another small issue with char grilled oysters. My wife asked to speak to manager for feedback. Amazing! Open only 8 days and we were thoroughly impressed. The food was all cooked perfectly and the flavors were abundant. We had The Cajun Shrimp Fondue, Crab Bisque, Seared Salmon, and Bourbon Glazed Pork Chops. Tough to pick a favorite as it was all incredibly well prepared. Even the side breads served with the bisque were perfectly light toast. If you're into well done and overcooked this may not be the spot for you. If you enjoy subtle full flavors cooked to perfection, jump in! Our server, Jaden, was on point as well! She easily helped us navigate all of the the options and took exceptional care of our evening. The filet mignon was really nice - the seasoning and temp perfect. Its not a typical filet mignon - 6 oz goes a long way. I opted for couscous - the turmeric hit well. By all means -- go for the brussels sprouts. I absolutely love Jordan wine, the cab paired very well with steak. The restaurant is well lit and very comfortable, don't be swayed by the strip-mall location. This is everything you would want in a restaurant for business or pleasure.

Scheduled specific table(works with my handicapp-none of the others do) six weeks in advance(there is a disclaimer that no guarantees on anything). Had 5 text messages to confirm we were coming. responded to all. Arrived early and the table was given away 10 minutes before we arrived.(there were plenty of other tables open. the Manager on duty was not the least bit applogetic. We were given a complimentary loaf of bread!!! Did i mention that the lobby reaked of gin? Ironically a similar thing happened to a fried the same night at a different restaurant and the owner was so upset that they gave the friend a complimentary meal!. If there is no integrity with the reception area think what is in the food!! So happy eating. our recommendation is go elsewhere.

I'm guessing that's due in part to Maverick, the General Manager, who seems genuinely committed to excellence. We actually came back this week because we realized we'd enjoyed our meal so much during our last visit that we forgot to take photos for our review. Believe it or not, we nearly forgot again! I rarely eat bread, but I always make an exception for the Spent Grain Loaf. Paired with the unbelievably fresh butter and flaky sea salt, it's one of my favorite things on the menu. My husband ordered the Prawn Cocktail. I'm allergic to shrimp, so I couldn't try it myself, but he said it was outstanding. I usually order the Koji Ribeye, but this time my husband claimed it first, so I ventured out and ordered the Alaskan Halibut with hash brown crust, orange vinaigrette, and watercress. It was absolutely delicious. My favorite side remains the Roasted Carrots with Leiper's Fork honey and tarragon--they're incredible. We finished with the Carrot Cake. It's less sweet than the version served at another well-known Franklin restaurant, which I actually prefer. The flavors are more nuanced, and the crunchy shredded carrot on top adds the perfect texture. The food was, as always, exceptional. We were fortunate to have Jeff Paul as our server again. He's knowledgeable, attentive, and strikes that perfect balance of being available without ever being intrusive. That said, we've honestly never had anything but excellent service at 1799. Maverick stopped by our table and was warm, engaging, and genuinely interested in making sure every guest had a memorable experience. It's clear he takes great pride in the restaurant, and it shows in every aspect of the dining experience. 1799 continues to be one of our favorite restaurants in Franklin, and we can't wait for our next visit. -Wendy & Ben Ellis

He's a 'pistol' extremely nice, friendly, sincere and professional. Can tell he runs a 'tight ship'. He suggested the carrot cake and OMG, it was delicious!!! Nice atmosphere and employees very attentive.
