Loved it so much, went two nights in a row.. one night with girls, next with husband. Pastas and salads are so fresh and delicious. The raviolis were a hit. Loved the lasagna. Had a reservation to celebrate a big birthday for out of town family member. We don't often go to Italian restaurants since some of us are gluten free but was so pleased they had plenty of options when I called to inquire. The food was absolutely delicious. Best shrimp scampi I've ever had - the homemade pasta is wonderful (this dish was not ordered gf). Also had gf pizza (which was very good and thick Sicilian style), gf order of scampi and pesto veggie pizza. The Tiramisu and gelatos did not disappoint. Highly recommend Sette! read more

Third visit was Disappointing. I wanted lasagna, so my wife and I decided to dine a Sette PH. The service was exemplary, but the meals were not very satisfying. I appeared to have pissed off the owner/chef when I asked for bread for my lasagna (customary accompaniment). I suspect he was upset because they sell a bread plate. I am a foodie and independent food critic, I like supporting local businesses, but reserve the right to decide on where I spend my money. There were 4 of us. The chicken parmigiana looked amazing. My son and I ordered the sausage and pasta. I only got about four small pieces of sausage while my son's plate had more than plenty. My wife had the butternut squash ravioli and it was not hot enough but the flavor was good . We ordered two different beers and they were mixed up. Went for my husband's birthday dinner on a Friday night. The restaurant is cute, I loved the photos of the pasta-making tools on the back wall. The service was wonderful, everyone we encountered was on top of it (thank you)! We ordered the focaccia, ravioli, lasagna, and tiramisu. We also added meatballs to the lasagna. We shared our dishes so they split them up for us, which was super clutch especially with a toddler and newborn taking up my arms! My favorite was the focaccia and meatballs. The lasagna pasta was way too soft and overcooked for me, but the ravioli was perfectly al dente! Tiramisu was the perfect sweetness (on the lighter side) and more soaked than others i've tried (the way i like my tiramisu). I would recommend this place and can't wait to come back to try other dishes! read more

Tried this new place with Good friends. I wasn't a big fan of the kitchenette style chairs so we asked for a booth. Our server was excellent! Unfortunately, i didn't catch her name. This is a beer and wine only establishment. My husband had a wonderful Pino Noir and I had an excellent cab. We started with the Caesar salad which was excellent! My husband is a caesar salad snob and he loved it! I had lasagna and it was delicious and I'm Italian and make lasagna. The pasta was so very tender. I'm so happy to see empty spots in this shopping center get filled. Especially by places that I enjoy and hope to visit again! We came with my parents and brought our baby. The environment felt beautiful, warm, and relaxing. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious: Mushroom cappuccino soup was delicious! We all really enjoyed that! The focaccia and spreads were very good. One in particular was my favorite. Meatballs were excellent as well. Lasagna was the best in my opinion. Great flavors, textures, it was a 10. Pesto pasta was pretty good. I wish the pasta was a softer variety and I wanted more vegetables and sauce in mine. Dessert was coffee and gelato--an excellent finish. Me and my girlfriends had a wonderful time at Sette's last night celebrating birthdays. The food was very delicious - Salad, Lasagna, and Pizza. So much to eat so I would suggest you share your entrees to get a little bit of more dishes. The ambience for Sette's was also very cozy - you can sit inside or outside. In regards to the passive aggressive comment left by Paul (owner)- I hope your own suggested quote opens your eyes and mind to helpful criticism. Your front staff mentioned you've been open for about a month or so? Also, several of your reviews mention how your food quality and taste is below average, over charging customers, wrongfully charging for dishes compared to menu price, bland pasta, undercooked halibut etc etc etc. Finally, if you must know, our party seemed displeased when you brought the focaccia as your restaurant posted images of the dish on Yelp showed it being 3x the size not two tiny logs. So advice: post images that ACTUALLY reflect how your dishes look. You've been open for 1 month...at least start off with honesty. read more

WARMTH LACKING First, the positives: The food was delicious, and our server, Ella Joy, was absolutely lovely. If it were just about the food and service at our table, I'd happily give this place five stars. Unfortunately, the rest of our experience left much to be desired. I made a reservation at Sette to celebrate my mother's 84th birthday, drawn in by its great reviews and convenient location. Upon arrival, the maitre d' began setting up a freestanding table for us. My mother, hoping for a more comfortable seating arrangement, politely asked if we could be seated at an open booth instead. The maitre d' responded with an overly cheery, "I don't think so!"--which took me aback. Thinking I had misheard, I asked again, only to receive the same response. When I inquired why, she explained that booths were reserved for larger parties, and since we were just a party of three, we couldn't be accommodated. While I understand restaurant policies, the delivery of this response felt unnecessarily dismissive. Once seated, we quickly realized that the restaurant was uncomfortably cold. It was a damp, chilly evening, and the combination of the restaurant's open layout, potential drafts from the doorway, and inadequate heating made for an unpleasant dining experience. We kept our jackets on the entire meal, and I rushed to ask for the check because I could see my parents were uncomfortable. To make matters worse, by the end of our meal, the booth we originally requested remained empty, and another booth that initially seated four was now occupied by only three guests. When I brought this up to the maitre d' on our way out, she casually replied, "Oh, that group is still waiting for another person." Whether or not that was true, the rigidity in prioritizing policy over hospitality was disappointing--especially when we were celebrating a special occasion. It's a shame because the food truly was enjoyable, but the lack of warmth--both in atmosphere and attitude--made for an underwhelming experience. I wouldn't return, at least not for a special occasion. read more

This is the second time we have eaten at Sette. The atmosphere is nice and they have plenty of servers who are willing to help. However, the service was very slow...over an hour to get our meal...and..... 1. They "ran out of napkins," so served customers a cocktail paper napkin for dinner. Raley's is right nextdoor....but nobody thought of going there and purchasing some paper dinner napkins? 2. They "ran out of Chianti.." Same problem...nobody thought of going to Raley's and purchasing some Chianti? 3. The meatballs say, "ground beef and sausage." No way there is any sausage in those meatballs. 4. The Caesar salad is at least half the size of a Caesar salad in any other restaurant. 5. The "mushroom soup" with crimini mushrooms, etc...was nothing more than blended mushrooms in a cup served lukewarm. 6. The fettucini Alfredo was dry...very little sauce. 7. The Italian pasta sauce over the meatballs was simply a meatless marinara...mostly tomatoes with a few seasonings. It seems like people go there for the "ambiance," however, go across the street to Dominic's or Vaiano's if you want real Italian food and good service. If Sette is going to be successful, they are going to have to be a bit more organized and someone needs to manage it a little better. read more
