I've visited twice. The first time I enjoyed the lasagna, which was excellent--probably one of the best I've ever had. During my second visit, I tried the special, which was the fish. Unfortunately, I wasn't as impressed; it was a bit overcooked and dry. However, the side of pasta was wonderful. The service was good, and I sat at the bar. Attended the soft opening and the food was delicious. My husband and I shared the focaccia bread board which had amazing dips. My daughter had the seasonal ravioli and it was very flavorful. I had the spaghetti and added meatballs. The meatballs were very tender and the flavor was wonderful. The homemade pasta was delicious. My husband has a filet mignon on truffled risotto. Our server, Ella Joy, lit up the room with her smile and provided us with excellent service. we both enjoyed our meals very much (nothing quite like homemade pasta) and even walked out with a gift bottle of wine when Ella Joy learned that we had been celebrating a birthday. Finally getting around to writing this review. My husband and I had the loveliest evening at Sette a few weeks ago on a Saturday night. The level of service we received was off the charts. We wanted to sit outside on the patio. Nobody was out there and the hostess arranged for a table to be set up for us. We had the entire space to ourselves! The server was super attentive and the owner even came out to personally deliver our pizza which was a newer menu item. All of the food was delicious. A fabulous addition to Granite Bay! Food was great- we could tell they hand make their pasta as it was VERY fresh tasting. A highlight was their Skillet Meatballs. Very expensive and small menu, but would come back for a special occasion. The downside is I wished they served a bread beforehand as other Italian restaurants in this price point offer. Love this much-needed addition to Granite Bay. My wife and I have dined here on two occasions and have already booked our third. The setting is clean and fresh providing a comfortable yet classy vibe. The menu is small and concise, making the ordering process very simple. All of the starters are excellent, a favorite is the Focaccia board, Mushroom Cappuccino, and the Cesar. On our last trip, we tried the Sete salad and it gave the Cesar a run for its money! For the main course, I recommend the Langsana, a very light option when compared to traditional Italian versions which is excellent. You can eat the whole piece without feeling too weighed down. The only advice is to request extra sauce. Not that the dish needs it, it is just amazing and you will want more. The second best dish, Spaghetti Pomodoro with meatballs, has the same sauce as the Langsana but is more plentiful. The fresh spaghetti noodles and perfectly seasoned meatballs make it an awesome option. My wife is a pescatarian so having the Halibut and Salmon options are helpful. If I were to choose one, choose the Halibut, it is pan-seared to perfection and the sauce is perfectly bright. One important last note, I wanted to try the Carbonara but noticed it was no longer an option. When I asked, the owner Paul personally informed me it was too difficult to maintain the dish quality so it was scrapped. He went into the detail of how the Carbonara is made and why timing is such a critical part of ensuring the dish is perfect. It did not meet his standards, so it was removed. Loved the attention to detail and the consideration for the best customer experience. I have dined at some very high-end establishments over the years, but many fail to provide the local touch and direct owner investment that Sette does. Looking forward to many more evenings here and bringing the entire family. Try it, you will not regret it! read more

Ella Joy and the young gentleman were doing their absolute best to give us a wonderful first-time dining experience at Sette Pasta House. First time diners and we were delighted with the service and food. We're foodies so here's some specifics: The service was 5 stars. Our waitress, Ella, was very knowledgeable about both the menu, ingredients, cooking process and wine selection. Her attentiveness and timing were impeccable. The table setting and dinner ware, immaculate. Started with the focaccia plate which was to die for. The bread hot out of the oven and fabulous. Loved the spreads that came with it. The Caesar Salad was fresh, crisp and chilled. Even had white, not brown, anchovies. Perfect. Our meals, chicken Parmesan and short rib Pasta were the homemade, spend 8 hours in the kitchen type of delicious. The crispy, tender chicken sits on top of house made pasta, not the soggy type you so often get. The sauce with the short rib pasta was rich and flavorful. Our party of five enjoyed our dinner experience very much! We had wine, appetizers and pasta and all were delicious. Our server, Dale, and the support waitstaff were attentive and engaging. The ambiance was nice. My daughter and I loved the chandeliers! We had a baby with us, and there were no baby changing tables in the men's and women's bathroom, so 1 star was taken away for that. What a great evening at Sette! We went on a quiet night and had such a wonderful time. We are locals that have had our eye on this place and were excited to try out this winter menu. I ordered the Meatball Skillet quite delicious, my mom ordered the Chicken Pesto Sandwich on homemade Focaccia bread. She loved it. Just ate at the Sette Pasta House last night for the first time. The pasta was out of this world good! My husband had the halibut, also great. Their focaccia bread was excellent. The service 5 star. My only complaint was the noise level is extremely high. It is a very small place with very high ceilings making it very hard to hear. Otherwise I would give them 5 star rating. So...I didn't love my entree. And the chef fixed it immediately with a smile and a let's make it right. That is a five star experience.
