So I love a good hidden bar. Hidden bars and speakeasies are definitely my thing. This spot was no different. This establishment is a basically have to know about type of place. You can't just walk in by any means. You need a reservation, so make sure that's first and foremost on your list. You can go to the site or wherever to make a reservation. Now, if you get to the door with the reservation but don't have the password, that's going to be an issue. I guess they're strict on that. There are people who made reservations but didn't know that and I actually ended up giving in the password to get in for the day. I would have hated for somebody to not tell me that so I had no problem helping somebody else out. The password in itself changes frequently but it's always on the Instagram page so if you're looking to get in, start there first and foremost. You hit a bus or the buzz in and they'll ask you for the reservation confirmation and ask you for the password so don't be surprised if you don't get in if you don't have all of your ducks in a row. So we sat down and saw the menu, the menu isn't super extensive but it has some decently crafted and well curated drinks for what it looks like. Mama Dee was the person who took care of us and she looked out for us. If you want something to eat, I suggest you going elsewhere before you get to this spot because they don't have a full full menu at all. But if you want a few drinks, this is going to be the spot for you. The music was dope, hands down. The music was super solid! It's an r&B bar so you're going to get all of that r&B music to boot. They had a TV on the wall that was playing old school music videos and then they had the music playing on the loud speaker. It looks like on some nice to actually have a DJ because they have a DJ setup. The setup is around where there are vinyls all along the wall on a shelf. Now I thought that was cool because decoratively speaking, those vinyls give a really great r&B look. They give the feel that you want out of the music lounge or a music bar. I loved that! I got the drinks Love and happiness and I got another one called her way. They were okay. I thought that they had a little more sugar or sweet in them than liquor, but I still drink them and they were still tasty. Would I get them again, no. Would I shop for other things on the menu, yes. The menu wasn't grand, but I'm sure you can pick a part a few things and find what you wanted. So if you want a menu with 45 different signature drinks on it, this will not be the spot for you. Make sure you know that password boo. You won't be able to enter without it. The good news is they post the password on their story each day. 3. Keep the noise to a respectful level. We stopped in as part of Dustland's Dust Lake Loop challenge. After jumping through the hoops with a reservation, knowing the password (check IG daily), we were greeted by Kesha who was very sweet. She went over the ground rules and pointed out available seating areas. Our party of four sat down to enjoy the place. There is an indoor and outdoor area. The outdoor area does have heat lamps, but there isn't much to look at so hopefully the conversation carries. This is an experience! My wife saw a video on this speakeasy on Instagram and we knew we had to go! Everything from the booking of your reservation, to the secret password to get in is very detailed. The hallway to the door has a looped recording of different artists and groups repeating lyrics that mention seven 45, while you're walking take your time to appreciate the different portraits of some of our greatest musicians throughout history. The service was amazing my wife and I sat at the bar and were lucky enough to have a great conversation with the owner and her mother. We learned a lot about the inspiration behind all of the records and decor. Let's talk about the food, the small bites are amazing! My favorite was the spicy olives, but the stuffed mushrooms are fire , the salmon spread is really good as well. For drinks I had the crane in the sky and let me say it's amazing you have to be careful it will definitely sneak up on you. Decided to try this speakeasy out on a Friday night. As soon as you walk into Seven:45, you are presented with a nice walkway with pictures of R&B artists, then you get to a white door with a doorbell that you ring. The hostess comes out and confirms your reservation and the password for the night. We had reservations for a Friday night and our wait wasn't too long before we were granted entry. I later found out that we were granted entry by the owner, DeAira. Immediately as you walk in, you are presented with a nice ambiance and all the best R&B music being played. Everything was positive so far however we were a bit let down by being seated at the bar even though we had reservations that required a credit card for the reservation. I tried to inquire about this with the owner but she waved me off and told me to hold on due to her being busy attending to other patrons. I assumed she would circle back to us but never did. This place definitely has 10/10 vibes, music is 10/10 as well however they are lacking in customer service. I heard by a fellow patron that during his last visit they attended to him and his partner and created a more intimate setting. He was even able to discuss the background of the speakeasy with the owner, DeAira. However during our visit, we did not get any of this. Service was rushed, lackluster and the owner appeared extremely flustered due to the busyness of the evening. This place has so much potential. It seems like when they are busy, that's when their weaknesses are exposed. The owner and 2 other ladies behind the bar are running the show, which decreases the efficiency of service to the individuals at the tables, or to those trying to enter through establishment. Also, the size of the establishment is not as big so suggesting more seating, especially during busy season, would benefit this speakeasy. In addition, we apparently came when they just changed the drink menus due to their one year anniversary. The drinks were decent, nothing special. I heard the previous menu had a bomb expresso martini so was excited to try that but they did not have any materials to make it. Overall I was pleased with this speakeasy by the decor and vibes alone however was very displeased by the service and lack of communication even from the owner. If you have reservations and put down a credit card to secure the reservation, you should be seated and not taken to the bar. It makes the reservation pointless. Also, things did not appear as friendly as other reviews stated. Again, might have been due to the busy nature of the night. Oh and did I mention they play r&b music The place is not hard to find although the area it's in is kinda sketchy but you forget all about it once you're inside. You do need a password to get in so make sure you have that, hint: look at their socials. Reservations are encouraged, not needed, but if doesn't guarantee you a table either. Small blank plain door opens to a narrow hallway lined with pictures of artists and filled with softly playing music, ending in another blank door set with a small shielded window. Before pressing the glowing blue buzzer, read the small sign next to it for the entry and conduct requirements. Then, if found worthy, be escorted inside. Bright space, pretty casual, white with pops of tomato red but somehow vibe was chill rather than stark, picture frames promoted Black artists, and a double turntable positioned in front of record-stacked shelves. The wee patio was even more casual, only its wood tables had LP sleeves embedded. Couldn't say why I chose Low Tide ($18) for what would be my last drink of the night; possibly because it descibed my energy levels at that point. Also requested the Salmon Stuffed Mushrooms ($14) to try to soak up some of the alcohol swirling in my bloodstream. Low Tide: Smooth, floral, light, creamy. A gentle enough cushion to wind down, but still elevated one's sense of well-being. Mushrooms: Three giant firm and (good) chewy caps, piled high with clean-tasting fish, stretchy mild cheese, with a hint of a kick. Managed to finish one-half of a cap before surrender; leftovers held up as a post-buzz snack. Value: Menu prices trended toward the upper-but-not-audacious level, but neither food nor drink was budget in volume or taste. My girlfriend and I love discovering new bars, and we've been keeping an eye out for a listening bar in Vegas for some time now. We stumbled across Seven:45 on twitter and put it on our list to try! This is a bar where they curate R&B music playlists for customers to enjoy. It is a speakeasy, and you need to have a password ready in order to enter and it is in a small area that may be harder to find. The entrance takes you down a long hall with a door at the end where you present the password and are then let in. We came on a Saturday night and made a reservation on open table over the phone (but you can also do this via their website) for when they open @ 7:45 so I thought that was cute. They say that at 7:45 this is the time to wind down and listen to R&B and I loved this concept. Ambiance 5/5: This place is so tasteful. I would say the interior has a mid-century modern style. The space is cozy and has a beautiful wall filled with R&B records. They place a vintage magazine featuring R&B artists on each table, and I personally love old magazines and enjoyed going through them, this was a nice touch. The music is loud, which is part of the experience. The space smells good and the bathroom smells good as well. The chairs and seating is comfortable and are organized in a way that allows for comfortable socialization. Service 5/5: The employees were accommodating, knowledgeable about the menu, and checked on us throughout the night. Their energy was great and I felt comfortable. Drinks and food came quick. Drinks 5/5: My girlfriend and I ordered 4 drinks in total (there is a 2 drink minimum for each customer). I ordered the "whip-lash", a lavender gin cocktail with lavender sugar on the rim (my favorite) and the ex-factor, a cucumber gin cocktail with tajiin on the rim. We also ordered a blueberry lemonade drink (Cranes in the sky) and a California sour beer. The drinks were great and I loved the play on names. Food 5/5: As far as food goes, we still have yet to try the rest of the menu. We ordered the charcuterie board (there is a vegan option) and it featured dark chocolate, nuts (almonds/cashews), dried fruits (mango), olives, cheeses, mustard tasting spread, jam, crackers, and meats (salami/prosciutto). In town for the 4th of July weekend and the Jodeci concert, this place was on my list! No stranger to a speakeasy, I was excited to learn that this one had a R&B theme! So after dinner, we made our way over. The website recommended reservations, so I made one an hour before closing around 11:00 pm. It appeared to be a slow night so the team was preparing to close, but welcomed us warmly as the only 2 remaining guests. DeAira (sp) and team, graciously went over the specials and gave great recommendations as 90's R&B played in the back ground! I ordered the " Come & Talk To Me" cocktail, which was their play on an espresso martini and dark chocolates, and my best friend had the "Whip Appeal". The atmosphere was warm and intimate, like your cousin's or best friend's apartment! On the tables were Ebony magazines with beautiful black women on the covers, and articles which started great conversations! The halls were lined with R&B icons, that I couldn't resist snapping pics in front of! We left at midnight after having the most memorable time!
