I don't really love the AYCE format of Shabu Club. Basically, you can order (unspecified) cuts of beef, lamb, or pork or combination of veggies/noodles. There is no variety in terms of cuts (i.e. sirloin vs brisket) and you can't choose which vegetables. We got cabbage, spinach, baby carrots, and pumpkin. The udon and ramen noodles are fresh, which is nice. They include a generous bowl of cilantro ponzu, but you can request a sweet sesame sauce as well. Since there is so little variety, I felt like the meal got boring fast. The tonkotsu and miso broth didn't really taste different from each other. Compared to other AYCE options, I feel Shabu Club is just ok. The meat was good quality, so you can easily eat your money's worth. The ice cream at the end though was a nice touch. The service was a bit slow too, so we had to keep flagging down staff. Although, to be fair, there seemed to be a lid birthday party during our service. Ultimately, other hot pot spots in the city do a better job, so I probably wouldn't come back.

I was trying to figure out where to get hot pot in SF with my friend after work. We found this place on yelp and ubered here. There were plenty of street parking when we came too. Went to eat around 5:45PM and it wasn't busy at all. A few parties there but plenty of seating. We were able to sit wherever we wanted. We opted for the regular beef and lamb option which was more than enough. They were very generous with their meats and we didn't finish our food :o I got udon with spicy miso broth and my friend got a mix of ramen and udon with tonkatsu. The green sauce was pretty good! I never had a sauce like this when I would go to shabu places. The service here was great! Checked up on us a lot :) I did enjoy the ice cream option at the end as well.

Happy hour has some good deals. I was a little surprised they didn't top off the broth with how much we ordered but maybe we just needed to ask. The udon noodles were my favorite, very tender and tasty. Broths were good and distinctive. The ice cream was good too. Fries were just ok. Service was a little slow.

UPDATE! Went here for Valentine's Day dinner with the hubby and we were able to get seated as soon as they opened even though I made last minute reservations. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Clean restaurant. Food was superb! The meat we got was the Wagyu beef with plenty of veggies and ramen noodles. Loved the ice cream after too!

Had a great visit at the Shabu Club, ate the $45/person AYCE for 90 minutes. We had a reservation and was immediately seated on time. Only thing weird is that I had to confirm the reservation over the phone once and by text twice close to the visit so this can be a bit much for some. Parking can be challenging in the neighborhood and the lychee soju bottle (sold as a "pitcher") leaks at the pour spout. We had a split plot with miso and tonkotsu broth. The burner was an Amazon Basics induction burner with a run timer so you know when your 90 minutes are up. Food was tasty, protein (pork, beef, lamb) were thinly sliced and was not served frozen unlike some establishments. There are a only 3 proteins available. The vegetables and ramen were also fresh and had a nice "chew" to it. A generous dish of garlic cilantro ponzu is provided at the table for each of us. That was fresh and tasty but will overpower the thin slices of protein I recommend using that condiment sparingly

For roughly $40 a person, this is a no frills place to get some decent Shabu Shabu. You choose a meat with a choice of rice, udon and/or Ramen. The set includes some standard vegetables and an ice cream at the end. What sets it apart is the premade sauce that they include for every person. Yum, but not if you don't like cilantro. Unfortunately, four stars for the service. It was pretty slow and they're not good at managing a crowd.

I've always been curious about Shabu Club. Every time I've hung out with my friend, he's talked about it. I suggested we finally go before we met up with some other friends for trivia. It was such a filling meal! We arrived right at opening and were the first customers. Reservations are available, and a steady flow of customers came in and left. Service by all workers was efficient. You scan the QR code for the menu and place your order with the staff. Multiple staff members would come by to check on us or deliver our items. The vibes are super chill, it's clean and spacious, and they play clubbing music. There are plenty of seating options inside for pairs or larger parties. We went all out for food. He and I both hadn't eaten all day, so by dinner, we were starving. We shared the Large Two-Meat Combo and the Large Vegetarian. We also ordered Pork Gyoza and an adult libation off the happy hour menu. The portions are massive; aside from the meat, you get to choose noodles, and they are accompanied by lots of veggies. We agreed that ordering the vegetarian set was overkill, but we had plenty of leftovers! The meat was tasty and of decent quality; we got the pork and beef. The veggies were good, can't really mess them up! It was all a nice variety. For our broths, we chose Miso and Spicy Tonkotsu, which were hearty, warm, and tasty. I'd come back again. If you are a shabu fan in Richmond, I recommend Shabu Club! I wouldn't go out of my way for it, but the quality and price point are pretty good, and they offer AYCE/AYCD. Looking forward to coming again in the future!

Maybe the best shabu ayce in the city. That geeen sauce go cray but don't underestimate the habanero drip, did about 7 and was sweating. Didn't matter cuz purdy n the boys are taking it all this year. TVs are small so don't expect a flat out niner party. Milton and James took care of throughout the night gottta give them a shoutout.

    Left: Spicy miso, Right: Tonkatsu

TLDR: Came for AYCE shabu and would come back. The beef was our favorite meat, the house sauce was delicious, and the soups we chose were also great. The veggies were fine but nothing special. We loved the ice cream to end the meal. Service was casual but fast, and the environment was also very laid back. But it did have several TVs playing different sports games in case that moves the needle for anyone! ------ FOOD: SOUPS: We chose the SPICY MISO and TONKOTSU. We slightly preferred the Tonkotsu to start because the spicy miso was spicier than we thought it'd be (there's a real kick to it). However the spicy miso was better for giving flavor to the veggies. When they came around for soup refills, we asked them to pour tonkotsu soup into the spicy miso and that soup became our favorite. We may ask them to do this from the start to begin with. 3 MEAT CHOICES: Pork, Beef, Lamb. Our favorite by far was the beef, but the other two were perfectly good too. VEGGIES: We got a pre-made bowl to start that included tofu, spinach, napa cabbage, baby carrots, mushrooms, and either ramen or udon to start. We opted for the udon which was good, standard udon. ICE CREAM: At the end you get your choice of green tea or red bean ice cream, or a fruit sorbet (it might have been mango or another tropical fruit?), in a cone. We got the red bean and it was a great not-too-sweet way to end the meal. ------ ENVIRONMENT / AMBIANCE: * Bright lights, a bit cold, and multiple TVs playing different sports programs. This felt like a hometown sports bar-turned-shabu spot, so come here for more casual catchups with friends or comfort meals with SOs. * It's a relatively quiet neighborhood at night and there should be plenty of parking around the nearby blocks. * They're able to accommodate larger groups at long tables. They can also host semi-private gatherings in this little alcove inside the restaurant. ------ SERVICE: * It was perfectly fine. Very casual, with the servers saying little to nothing to you and just picking up empty bowls as they walk by. You're always welcome to stop them to request more of a specific item, and that item will be at your table within a minute or two * There's a timer on your portable stovetop, so you know exactly how much time has elapsed and they never need to rush you

As a SoCal native, I have pretty high standards when it comes to shabu. It was my first time getting shabu in the bay area and I must say I was very impressed and it definitely satisfied my hot pot craving! My friend and I came at 5pm on a Tuesday and both got our own 2 meat combo sets ($32.5 for a large) since we didn't feel like getting AYCE ($45). We also got the Kobe beef fries ($10 during happy hour) and it was the perfect amount of food! The spicy tonkatsu broth was very flavorful and not too salty, I liked it better than the spicy miso. Their garlic cilantro ponzu was also really delicious (I just love ponzu). For meats, we got the Wagyu beef + Kurobuta pork and I was impressed by the quality of the meat! Wasn't too thin and I could really taste the quality. I also liked their assorted veggies + udon/ramen selections - their portions are very generous. The kobe beef fries were kind of soggy and underwhelming, so I'd skip out on it. The matcha & black sesame ice cream at the end was so good though, definitely a hit! I havent had many shabu spots in the bay but I'd come back here during happy hour to beat the dinner rush! Service was a bit slow despite it being pretty empty inside so that's my only complaint.

The food was always good that's why we always come back here. But the service was terrible. The server has zero service mind. He work here for long time but every time I come here he never smile and barely check back on us. Poor customer!!! We left 20% tip because it is what we always do. But we will never come back here anymore.

    Udon noodles and veges

We used to go to Shabu House and they closed their locations. So we were so happy to see this spot open up. Every one raves about the cilantro sauce, I prefer their sesame one. I love the spicy miso and my family likes the regular(wimps) lol. Service is hit or miss but never rude. We are now BIG fans!!! See you all soon :)

We visited shabu club a few days ago for hot pot shabu, and while we were looking forward to the meal, we were disappointed by the service we received. We had a very negative experience with the waiters. Every time we needed to ask for something, such as more meat or water, both of the male waiters seemed resistant to serving us or would walk away. We often had to ask multiple times to get a single item. We felt that this greatly detracted from our experience. I wanted to bring this to your attention as we hope to have a better experience in the future.

The DJ upstairs was playing a great mix of Latin and hip-hop music, while downstairs had old-school reggaeton, which I absolutely loved. It was a little warm downstairs, so I decided to stay upstairs for most of the night. I also appreciated that there was seating available upstairs because the main floor was extremely packed. Overall, I was having a great time until it came time to order my second drink. Unfortunately, I didn't catch the bartender's name, but he was wearing glasses and had a sleeve tattoo on one arm. My first order was quick and easy, so I didn't think much of it. However, when I went back for a second drink, I ended up waiting about 15 minutes at the bar. What was frustrating was that the bartender clearly saw me waiting, yet repeatedly served men who walked up after me. Another woman who was also waiting noticed what was happening and actually spoke up, saying, "She's been waiting here first, and so have I," after he immediately was trying to serve the guy next to us. The bartender looked at her, dismissed the comment, and continued serving other men who had arrived after both of us. As a former bartender myself, I was taught to scan the bar and serve guests in the order they arrive whenever possible. The way the situation was handled felt dismissive and unprofessional. What bothered me most wasn't the wait itself, it was feeling overlooked despite being visibly next in line. That said, I genuinely enjoyed everything else about Long Weekend. The music, atmosphere, and overall energy were great, and I don't plan on letting this one experience keep me from coming back. I'll definitely give it another shot. I'll just be ordering from a different bartender next time.

The overall place was very Cuban inspired, we got some drink which were so good, very fresh, sweet and cute. Now the music was so good they played a lot of modern Latin music the kind that makes you forget you were just going to stay for one drink and one dance. I also enjoyed how they were was a good amount of room for people to dance or enjoy their drinks. I also loved the fact that there's a downstairs which is a former bank vault, which adds a whole secretive, intimate and cool vibe to it. This was a perfect way to end a girls night. So happy I stumbled upon this place, will definitely be coming back!

We came here on a Thursday around 9pm…read more We ordered 2 drinks and a ceviche appetizer, and it was $85, before tip. I guess that's SF for ya.. We ordered the Oaxaca, which did not explicitely say was more of a "shot" than a drink. We also ordered the guayaba which we liked. The guava tasted fresh and I liked that the rose petal flavor really came through with a flavorful floral addition. The ceviche was good, and the creaminess from the coconut rounded out the flavor well. The chips were also seasoned well with some spices. We mostly just came for the views and ambiance, which I will say was beautiful.

Last Sunday, I had one of the best summer nights in San Francisco!…read more We came to Cavana for dinner, but we had no idea there was live salsa music and dancing happening on one of the patios. The vibe was incredible, a live salsa band, everyone dancing, people having a good time... we definitely came on the perfect night! The band played until around 8 PM, which worked out perfectly because our dinner reservation was at 8:15. After dancing and enjoying the music, we got to watch one of the most beautiful sunsets I've seen from this rooftop. Such a beautiful way to start the evening. And the food made the experience even better! The menu is mostly small bites, so we ordered several dishes to share. We started with the classic ceviche, which was fresh, citrusy, and so good with the chips. We also had the al pastor tacos with pineapple, flavorful and a classic combination that worked perfectly. But the arepitas... OMG! Definitely my favorite. They come with three little arepas filled with shredded beef, and they were SO good. Between all the dishes, it was actually plenty of food for two people, and we left very satisfied. For drinks, we tried the guava and passion fruit mocktails, and both were refreshing and had really nice flavor. I've been to Cavana before, and I already thought it was a great place to stop for drinks or food before a concert at Chase Center or a Giants game. But this Sunday experience made me love it even more. It's also such a nice spot for a date night or just hanging out with friends. I don't know what the rest of their weekly schedule looks like, but this particular Sunday was a 10/10, salsa, great food, rooftop views, and a beautiful San Francisco sunset.
