TL;DR: Great for vegetarians! This has become one of my go-to spots in the city, mostly because the value is just hard to beat. You get a ton of food for what you pay, and the spread of options is huge. Lots of different meats and seafood if that's your thing, but honestly what stood out to me is how well they do it for people with dietary restrictions. If you're vegetarian or vegan, you're actually taken care of here, which is rare for hot pot. They've got a big range of noodles and veggies, and they offer both a vegetarian and a vegan broth, so nobody at the table is stuck with sad sides while everyone else eats. That alone makes it an easy choice when you're trying to please a group with different needs. The other thing I appreciated is that everyone gets their own individual pot, so you're not all sharing one broth and you can do your own spice level and your own thing. Wanted to try a new hotpot place. It has some things I am wishing other hotpot places would have but it's also got a handful of cons. The place is layout very odd. The waiting area is extremely tiny so if it's busy and there's a line, there's almost nowhere to stand. The tables are cramped together and separated by a plastic sheet. There's not much table space to put your items, especially because there's four pots per table area. You'll have to stack your meats and rotate which can get annoying. It's also very confusing because they don't explain anything to you. They just ask how many people and ask you to sit down. I had to figure out how to order and the table next to us was so confused too. Usually it's not that complicated but I saw online there's non AYCE options and some items on the menu had prices or said "not included in AYCE" so it confused me. Then you have to walk by the tables to get veggies, sauce, random items. It didn't seem to make sense why they put certain items to get yourself and some you have to order from them. People don't seem to respect lining up and criss cross from one area to the next causing chaos. Some of the "hot food" like potstickers were not warm. They seem to put random food out because when I went back, I would find different cooked items. I also didn't like how they use disposable plates you'd put fries in. Wasteful and weird. Such a great spot for AYCE! It's $26.99 for lunch on the weekend and definitely a steal. I like that it's individual pots and you can pick your own base. For the price, I'd say the variety and quality is pretty good. I enjoyed the marinated meats (lamb in wine and beef in beer) which was a fun time and they do have calamari, shrimp, and octopus for seafood. Once you order, the meat comes quickly and the quality is top notch fresh. The wagyu, ribeye, pork belly and the rest of the meat was excellent but their must try is their fresh fish paste. In addition, they have a salad bar where you can get your own veggies. Lots of fresh vegetables including my favorite lotus roots, wide assortment of mushrooms, various noodle options, some friend food, a sauce creation station, self serve drink station to round it out. As with all hotpot, the success lies in fresh quality meat and veggies and the different ingredients to create your own dipping sauce; and this restaurant got it all. Been here twice now, once last year (would've rated 3.5 stars), and came Feb 26, 2026 and will now give it 4 stars! They updated all the tables so everyone gets an individual soup pot. I prefer this because it's easier to manage your own pot/food that is cooking! Came with a group of 7. I think the biggest group size that can fit at one table is 8, so it worked great. You can call to make a reservation, not sure if there's a table size minimum, but I originally had a res for 6, which turned into 8, and then one person didn't show...My only advice about the table / seating situation is that for the big tables along the wall like ours, it was bench seating or stool seating. I wish the stools had been chairs because my back started hurting since I was slouching with no back to my chair (stool). The dinner price was 34.99 for AYCE. I like this place because they have a fridge where you can grab water and one of the tea options is free. Other drinks you have to purchase like soda, beer, or soju. There's a nice sauce bar (I loved the house sauce)! Then the bar also has veggies, noodles, and there's a lot of seafood to be cooked. You order from the QR code on your table. Heads up if you order just broth first, they make you wait 5 minutes between orders. It's probably easiest if you have 1-2 people do all the ordering. Once you order, the meats come out super fast. Everything was good but some of my faves were the Wagyu, toro, and brisket. I usually prefer the more marbled beef options. I went with the Chinese herbal broth because I like to start with simple broth and drink some at the end after all the meat juice has been cooked in it. We didn't order chicken, and I think we only ordered pork once. We had the lamb, but it wasn't my favorite. I'd stick with the beef options here, and grab seafood from the bar. The fish filet was also a fave from the seafood bar. We came on a Thursday night which was decently busy but nothing like a weekend. If you want a more chill night, go on a weeknight. Weekends get busy, and they will probably be more strict on time limit, which I think is 90 minutes. My group had about 90 minutes of ordering food, but we stopped and were able to sit and chat for a bit after since no one was waiting for a table. Service is quick and friendly. Whenever we ordered more food, it came out within a couple of minutes. They walk around to offer more broth. The table burners are deep in the table which we concluded was to help avoid splashing. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because sometimes the cuts of meat seemed a little inconsistent. One of the brisket orders we got were really tiny pieces. Even our server noted that when he told us what each meat was. And depending on how busy they are, sometimes they told us what each meat was and sometimes they didn't. The service here was really good, all the workers were attentive with taking away plates and all the meats that were ordered via the QR code all came out at a timely manner. My friend and I came here before heading to a Warriors game. Hot pot is one of our favorite meals, and he suggested this place. The wait was only about five minutes, which was great. The restaurant itself is much smaller than other hot pot spots I've been to. I understand that they needed to add more tables and chairs and divide tables when seating different parties, but it did make the dining experience feel very close and a bit tight, with little personal space between guests. There were many soup base options, and we chose the Tonkotsu and Spicy Tonkotsu. I do wish the spicy broth had more of a kick--it was a bit lacking in heat--but the flavor was still very good. For meats, we ordered our usual favorites: wagyu beef, taro, prime beef, pork belly, and kutoboto. One unique option we hadn't seen before was red wine beef belly, and it was absolutely delicious. The red wine flavor is strong, but since one of my favorite KBBQ items is red wine pork belly, this was right up my alley. The walk-up veggie bar was a big plus. They did run out of enoki mushrooms and hadn't restocked them, but when we asked if they were out for the lunch hour, they immediately refilled them without hesitation. The sauce bar also had a great variety of sauces to choose from. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience. We did have to flag down our server because our meat orders hadn't come out, but they apologized and brought everything right away. A really good deal for all you can eat hot pot in the city with a multitude a fresh ingredients and individual pots so that everyone can get what they want especially if there are spice/dietary differences with the group. For $35 AYCE hotpot, it's a nice place in the city. Located in sunset away from the busiest streets, it's not hard to find parking. I've been here twice, and there's always been a bit of a wait, but tables move quickly. You may have to share a table with others if you have a small party, but they put up dividers in between. Service is very friendly and attentive! I heard them greet a few regulars during both visits. There's a buffet for most vegetables, carbs, seafood, proteins, and non-sliced meats. What sets this place apart are the handmade noodles! I don't always remember to add carbs to my hotpot meals, but I can't pass them up - they have a great bounce and chew. Another plus is the fruit tea, Thai tea, and water pitchers in the fridge for you to grab whenever you please. When you're seated, the menu and ordering for certain items are from the QR code - you can submit orders every 5 minutes. It's convenient, but I've noticed there are differing options offered each time - the server explained that they may be out of items and take them off the system, so it was a little disappointing since I couldn't order tofu and shrimp paste my second time around. The broths are very tasty overall, especially the pork bone broth. Would note however, the spicy broth has a more pronounced herb flavor than other restaurants. Came here for dinner with a friend during the week. Was about half full and we got seated quickly. The service is super friendly here, although I wish they'd give more than just a single napkin without asking- hot pot is messy! So the process is pretty straightforward. You order via an app to get your choice of broth, meats/proteins, drinks, and desserts. For everything else (dips, a few hot food items, and veggies), you go up to the area in the back. There's also a fridge in the back where you get large bottles of water, tea, and carrot juice! The back area had a bunch of veggie options- enoki and king mushrooms, bok choy, Napa cabbage, kombucha squash and more! Additionally, there were a bunch of noodle and rice cake options, as well as kimchi, sliced jalapeños, green onions, and cilantro. It's not as extensive as I believe it used to be per the menu pictures from a few years back, but this felt more streamlined and was enough for me. Besides, this way I was able to eat enoki mushrooms (my favorite) without having to constantly order more. There were a decent selection of meats. The wagyu beef was my favorite (shocker, right?), but they had a variety of beef, lamb, pork, and chicken (only one chicken option- would've liked more though). Food - 3/5 - I liked that they had a good amount of variety for soup bases as well as for the food options. There was some things that you would order through the app, like the meats and frozen items, and other things you could help yourself to at the bar, like the veggies and some noodles. I appreciate that they had a good amount of drink options too, some you would pay a bit more for, and some were included in the AYCE price. Just pay attention to what you are grabbing. From what I saw, they had herbal tea, thai tea, fruit teas and sodas ($3 per can/bottle). I got the tom yum soup base and my bf got the curry soup base. Both were quite flavorful and fragrant. We ordered many rounds of meat and left quite satisfied for the cold night. Be advised that there is a QR code menu where you order those items. It's designed where a few phones can order for the table but I think its easier for everything to be ordered in one phone per 3 people, depending on the group size. Since we were a party of 2, we just ordered off of his phone. Price - $$ - The pricing was quite decent as it was about $35 per person for AYCE. I expected it to be more expensive but I appreciate this pricing a lot as it was quite worth it if you eat a lot. Service - 4/5 - All of the staff are pretty nice and quick with the service. They bring the ordered items out and clear the empty trays very quickly. Ambiance - 3/5 - The seating is a bit crowded but it is a small establishment so I don't personally mind it too much. If small spaces are a factor for you, it can feel a tad bit claustrophobic for some seating so please be advised or let the staff know so they can seat you somewhere with a bit more space. It is recommended that you make a reservation for larger groups of 5+. Location - 2/5 - It is located in a quite residential looking neighborhood so it can be hard to miss. Some really good shabu shabu in SF! We arrived on a Monday night around 6:45 and were sat immediately. There's lots of seating and they can accommodate all party sizes. Everything was clean, from the seating and tables to the self-serve station. The man who took our order was very nice and friendly. The meats and broth came out very quickly. The selection isn't as wide as other places I've been to, but it's pretty solid and covers everything you need. What I liked the most was the drink options! Service was really good and friendly though and everything was clean. However if you're a germaphobe prob want to stay away from this buffet style AYCE hotpots. I think they changed owners because everything was just a little off compared to when I came last time which was a few years ago. My main issue with this place is the sauce bar... there's too few options to mix up the concoction that suits your tastebuds and I felt like while all the dishes were decent, I couldn't get flavor profile to be right bc I'm not one of those ppl who just dip in soy sauce. The sesame paste was lackluster and there was no satay sauce. I thought these would be staples yet not available. The AYCE menu was fine. The meat was decently fresh and service quick to bring more over. The buffet style for the veggies and meat/fish balls were fine and you can choose how much you want rather than having waiter bring these over anyway so I appreciated the option to grab your own. However for sanitary reasons it's kinda weird but since you're boiling anyway it prob doesn't matter and you can just try not to think abt it too much if you're a germaphobe I would say stay away. Though the staff does keep the buffet area very clean and stocked so that's not the worst thing. Another weird thing was the chocolate desserts. Second time here and I'm giving it five stars (realistically 4.5, but overall it deserves it). I've seen reviews calling the meat average, but I disagree. I go to Japan often, so my standards are a little high, and for an all-you-can-eat spot, the meat here is above average. I've been to other highly rated hot pot places where the meat was tough, that's not the case here. Even the lamb was good (and I usually don't like lamb). Pork was my least favorite, but still decent. I got the winter melon broth again since I prefer lighter broths that don't overpower the meat. My boyfriend got a spicy one, flavorful but a bit strong for me. I don't care for the house sauce, but honestly the broth seasons everything well. I just make my own ponzu base sauce. Service is attentive, stations are constantly refilled, and the fried bread with condensed milk was a great dessert. The place looks small from the outside, but it's actually bigger than it seems. The meat was super thinly sliced so it was so tender when cooked despite not being the most marbled I've had. The broths are pretty good, not as good as the top tier places like liuyishou or feng, but for the price 100% worth. There's a ton of options at the lil bar to get like shrimp roe filled balls, noodles, and other stuff to put in the pot. There's also pretty good sauce and they had spicy pig ear cold dish. The meat and some stuff like fried buns with condensed milk were ordered from a link you scan with ur phone and anyone in the table could add to the table order and send em in. It was max 1 order per 5 mins but you could get a ton of stuff, like 6 trays per type of meat. The Pots is hands down one of the best hotpot spots in San Francisco. From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel welcome and the vibe is warm, lively, and perfect for a group meal or even a cozy dinner. The menu is fantastic--plenty of broths to choose from, each one rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. My favorite is the spicy miso. The quality of the meat, seafood, and vegetables is top-notch, and the portions are generous. The dipping sauces and condiments bar let you customize everything to your taste, which makes the experience even more fun. Service is fast, attentive, and friendly, and the staff is always happy to explain the menu or make recommendations. Wow! My new favorite hot pot place AYCE. Lealani our server was so attentive and a joy! She always checked in on us and her light energy really uplifted our evening. She was knowledgeable on allergies and checked on gluten free items for me. I appreciated her thoroughness. Others always checked in on us too when passing by which I loved. The interior was super clean and nicely decorated. I loved all of the options for our hot pot and the meat was super fresh! Everything was so tasty and the options were endless. I really enjoyed the teas as well and my friend liked all the desserts. I now will take all my friends here even though I live an hour away. Went here for the first time and honestly had a really good experience. The sauce bar was actually one of my favorite parts--there were so many options and it was fun mixing everything how I wanted. I also really liked that you can order from your phone, it just made everything way easier and we didn't have to flag anyone down. All the food we got tasted really good, nothing disappointing at all. We ended with the condensed milk donut dessert and omg... so so good. Definitely get that if you go. super solid hotpot spot! this place was AYCE which was perfect for a fulfilling meal. i thought the broth choices were well varied. i opted for the pork bone broth and my partner got the tonkotsu. both were really good in their own way. the pork bone was clean and had a literally piece of pork bone in it! the tonkotsu was richer and creamier. the order is through an online system were you mainly order the meat/proteins. they have a selection of beef, pork, lamb, chicken, tofus, and etc. the veggies, carbs, and seafood is at the buffet bar for you to go and pick to your heart's content. there is also some hot foods available. the sauce bar has a pretty good selection as well. drinks like water, soda, teas, and others are self-grab at the fridge. my fav meat cut was definitely the beef wagyu. i couldn't recommend this place enough!! read more
