One of my mom's favorite places to eat Food is decent and filling. Also feels healthy but flavorful. Service is good Dinner times are pretty crowded

BCD always a solid spot for soondubu! My go to order is the mild beef soondubu which is a good spice level for me lol. Boiling hot and hearty bowl full of tofu and beef. Comes with a huge rice bowl and a variety of banchan. Service was pretty quick and attentive as the ahjummas are always checking in and asking if we want side dishes refills. We came around 9 pm on a Friday and there was no wait with a few other tables occupied.

A hot, hearty bowl of BCD soondubu always hits the spot! My go-to is usually the mild beef soondubu which is perfect for my low spice tolerance. The portion is big with plenty of tofu, beef, and rice and a variety of banchan! The fishcake is delish. The ahjummas are always friendly and checked on us often. There was no wait on a Friday around 9PM

Solid late night spot... Needed a bit post pickleball and landed here. I got the Galbi entree plate, and as a table we split the seafood pancake. All the Banchan were good. Need to personally figure out how to eat the fried fish while avoiding the bones. Seafood pancake was delicious and crispy, and the galbi was tender and flavorful. It came with the spicy beef soup, which was perfectly spicy. Servers were super accommodating and attentive. It was also fairly busy for being so late, so great vibes. We will be back

1st time here but whenever I hear BCD, I think of CBD(cannabis) for whatever reason. Anyways, came here during their lunch hour & got the Clay Pot Bibimbap. This lunch time combo comes w/tofu soup of your choice along with your Ban Chaan(side dishes). Every Korean place offers different side dishes so it's always fun to explore the options you get. Today's Ban Chaan surprise was the fish. The clay pot bibimbap had a lot of vegetables(spinach, carrots, fenbrook, mushrooms & bean sprouts) but not a lot of bulgogi meat. Nonetheless this clay pot was deliciously crispy & filling for me & my daughter to share.

THE EMPLOYEE DROPPED A SOUP OVER A CHILD ON 6/21/2026 around 1:30pm. It was terrible. The Asian lady was careless. I witnessed it and having kids, this is not where you want to go. Employees are rude and careless which is why this accident happened. Spicy pork bulgolgi. First time ordering and it will be my last. Did not taste good

Pros: Good location with decent parking Bibimbap hot stone crispy rice was delicious and super hot temp wise Lots of flavor in all their dishes You can ask for varying levels of spice Soon tofu was so tasty - I still dream of this dish! Cons: Had to ask for Banchan several times They were out of bean sprouts Didn't have many servers so food took a while to arrive Pro tip: Come for the food, not the service cause they are busy!

I had a great dining experience at BCD Tofu in Buena Park, and Hyon Yi's service was truly outstanding. She greeted us with a warm smile and kindly explained the menu, which made us feel very comfortable throughout the meal. Even during a busy time, she paid close attention to customers and handled everything professionally. The food was delicious, but her thoughtful and friendly service is what really made us want to come back again. Thank you!

I come here once a week, if not every other week, and I can honestly say I receive the best service every single time. Hyon always goes above and beyond to make sure we have a great experience. She is incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming from the moment we walk in. Her hospitality truly stands out, and I've never once been disappointed with her service. It's employees like Hyon that keep us coming back. Thank you for always making us feel so valued!

Fast and delicious! We stopped by while in the area as we felt like having Soon Tofu soup. We were acknowledged as soon as we entered the restaurant by the manager. We went on a Friday evening so it was quite busy but we didn't have to wait too long for a table. The restaurant overall had sufficient seating. The placemats serve as the menu. Someone came over right away to take our orders. Another person came by with water. Every server at the restaurant had a role, so service was very efficient. We ordered the combo with the bulgogi and an order of tofu Japchae. Everything came out very fast and the portions were generous. Everything tasted great. You also get the usual side dishes like kimchi. There is a server that goes around with a cart and replenishes the side dishes. Overall we were happy with the food and the how efficient service was.

I love BCD and I'm happy that my husband got to finally try it. I think he actually prefers Kaju in Irvine just a tiny bit more, but food here is still really delicious. If you've never had soondubu before, this is a really good and reliable way to try it for the first time (which my friend did today, and he quite enjoyed it).

I really wanted japchae and this place has it as its own order. It was delicious and the kimchi here was good too. The place was clean and service was friendly. I'll definitely come back to try something else!

For food, I've tried a lot of their menu and everything is so good and shareable. The korean fried chicken is crispy, not dry, and seasoned so well! A favorite amongst the group was the beef intestine, which I've never had before and was pretty impressed by. It was super juicy and paired well with the scallions and sauce. Another favorite of the group was the corn cheese. It was like a pizza but corn cheese. My absolute tried and true is the pork belly. It is soo good, especially with the kimchi, peppers, and roasted garlic cloves. It definitely is my personal favorite on their menu! I can definitely see why this place is so popular!

And you don't need to tip at this place! Although there is a 10% service fee or something like that.

Are the servers nice? NO! Is the price decent? NO! Here's my reasoning: I used to bring my grandfather here because he loved their soup. If I didn't bring him I would buy the galbi tang and take it to him. And back then the service was amazing, the ajummas were so nice and would get you extra servings of banchan and brisket sauce but sadly throughout the years they've become very stingy and just plain out rude. I understand the cost of inflation and it's very real but I used to get their galbi tang for less than $10. At this rate it's costing me $27 for a bowl of soup and no extra gimme with not even a smile. Will I still be back? Yes but not like before. The interior is clean, newly built, and has a modern Korean hanok-style look. The servers were also friendly both times, so I didn't have any issues with the service or atmosphere. Unfortunately, the main problem for me was the food. I've eaten at the LA location before and never really thought the food tasted bad there, but at this Buena Park location, both visits gave me the impression that the food didn't taste as fresh as it should. On my most recent visit, I ordered the soondae gukbap, and the soondae had an unpleasant off smell and didn't taste very fresh. It almost tasted like it had been sitting for a while. On my first visit, I tried the regular pork gukbap, and the pork flavor was also stronger than I personally prefer. I do tend to like cleaner-tasting gukbap, but this stood out to me because I don't remember having the same issue at the LA location. After the first visit, I thought maybe it was just an off day since the restaurant was still new. But after having a similar impression on my second visit, I'm not sure if this location is consistent yet. The space is nice and the service was good, but for a gukbap restaurant, the food has to be the main reason to come back. Based on my two visits, this location was disappointing for me.

But since I moved out of LA, it's so inconvenient to get to. Enter Kyung Bok Kung -- what a find. I can get a fine dining korean bbq experience conveniently. I've been here a number of times, and this review reflects the few times I've been there. It's become the goto spot to take people from out of town who are visiting and want a Kbbq experience. Things I immediately noticed - lots of white and grey teslas in the parking lot during lunch - you know what that means? Golf Koreans. Yup. Go inside and you'll see incredibly well dressed older retired people with their buddies chatting up in private cubicles. Beautiful decor. It's like the background setting of a korean drama where there's a close-up of the guy and the girl - they're about to say something really serious to each other. The camera does a wide angle shot of them - and this is the restaurant it's shot in. Price points - this place isn't cheap, but they have incredibly good deals on a weekday lunch (cold noodles and meat set). Their dinner set course meals are priced around what you would expect from a quality steak house. This place is not as pricey as AB steak or Cote, but you're getting just as quality. Food - I've had the lunch set meals, the bbq grilled course, and ordered à la carte. One thing is for sure - they don't miss. I never had a 9 budda plate until I came here, but apparently it's like a thing that royals ate during the monarchy days. It was like a korean vegetarian taco. Very intricate (and slightly annoying) to put together but delicious - and a great test of your chopstick skills. Their braised beef (galbijjim) from their lunch set intersects savory, sweet, and tenderness in a way that only Korean grandmas do. I'm not a huge fan of Wagyu beef (just too rich and can never feel after eating it), but I have never felt that way coming out of here. Go here at night if you want to impress someone or celebrate something. Go here during lunch if you want a fantastic meal and want to see what the best korean food can taste like but don't want to break the bank.
