I brought these burgers to a Street Food Cinema event! The line was a breeze. Luckily, it wasn't as packed as expected. We ordered two Shack Burgers, one regular fries, and one fries with cheese. After we got our orders, ketchup, mustard, chili, and salt were on the right side of the picking up area. Once we got to our event, we started munching on the fries. At first, I thought they forgot about our cheese on the fries, but I was wrong. They put the cheese on a separate little container which was a good idea! Our burgers were small but it got me full. Shake Shack does live up to the hype. In'N'Out will probably always have my heart though. This particular branch provides pretty good service. If they have a long line, it goes by pretty fast. Staff is very patient and everyone who helps me takes the time to explain the menu and answers all of my questions! I appreciate Shake Shack because I like how they make the food right then and there. It always taste fresh! It does cost more than most fast food restaurants but I think it's worth the buck. My favorite items on the menu are the chicken shack and the cheese fries. The cheese fries aren't too salty nor too oily. I do wish the cheese sauce were a bit less thick but they're still addicting. I think their burgers are average and I'll never order them unless I'm in the mood for some beef. Came here last week and was my first time at this location and I've dined in. The environment is nice and clean. Staff were friendly and food tasted fine. However my experience was not perfect. #1: I waited a while and no one brought my order to my table, so I end up picking up my order myself at the counter. #2: My stomach got sick in about 30 minutes after consuming the food. #3: After I was done with my food, I went into the restroom to wash my hands. We were supercharging at the nearby Tesla Supercharger and we wanted to grab a bite to eat. It's about a five minute walk from there but we didn't mind; more exercise before and after the burgers! They have a good amount of outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. As soon as you walk into the building, you'll see the menu on the left side of the wall and the order counter directly in front. Pick up and mobile order pickup is located towards the right side of the counter and is clearly marked. They also had condiments and water cups available on the counter around the corner. Restrooms are located towards the back of the building. The place was pretty packed for lunch so we had to wait a bit before a table opened up. They give you a pager that will vibrate and light up as soon as your order is ready. We ordered the cheeseburger and fries. The burgers were good and the bun was soft and fresh. Fries were crisp and hot. Overall, the experience here was pretty good. There was a short wait for a table as well as the food but the staff members were friendly and the food was tasty. Came on a trip through Glendale and decided to stop by Shake Shack. First time here and thought how it would compare to In-N-Out from all the comments on social media. All I got to say is that these two restaurant burgers do not stack up. You're talking different price points and flavors. I like either of these two restaurants separately as they are. This review is based on my first impressions here at Shake Shack. I tried the classic Shake Shack burger with fries and a shake (with whip cream). The burger was delicious in it's own unique way. Fries were nice and crispy. As for the shake it was a nice and sweet, however should have opted for without the whip cream as it made drinking through a straw too thick. Overall the meal was great. I do have to warn you that parking to this location is paid to park so be wary of the amount of time you spend around the area. There are lots of food choices within the vicinity. I have been WAITING to sink my teeth into Shake Shack burgers and fries. I finally got the opportunity to while perusing through The Americana in Glendale today. THE MOOD: The Americana is very reminiscent of The Grove. It is very beautiful walking through the place since Christmas lights are up and everything just feels so vibrant and festive. There are plenty of shops, people watching, and eateries as you walk through the area. I mean, there is a ginormous Christmas tree in the middle of The Americana that you can't help but stop and snap a picture! As we walked to the corner of Brand Blvd. and Colorado St., the iconic green Shake Shack logo was summoning me to it! There was a large menu of items as you walk in on your left and the cashiers keep the line moving, so you can quickly place your order and find your way towards indoor/patio seating. THE FOOD: Single Stack SmokeShack Burger: I instantly fell in love with the Shake Shack burger after my first bite of the SmokeShack burger. I ordered a single-stacked cheeseburger which comes with all-natural smoked Niman Ranch bacon, chopped cherry pepper, and ShackSauce. The burger buns were fluffy and perfectly encapsulated the juicy burger meat, crispy bacon, cheese, and cherry pepper. The burger was so simple, but what really made the burger was the the sour/tangy-ness of the chopped cherry peppers with the savoriness of the crispy bacon. It was literally heaven with every bite. Strawberry Mint: The Strawberry Mint drink tasted more just like super sweet strawberry juice. I didn't really taste the mint, but it probably would be a refreshing drink in the summer - just be prepared for the sweetness. Cheese Fries (Crinkle-Cut Fries): I'm not usually a fan of crinkle-cut fries because I feel like they're usually cut too thick and you end up getting a mushy texture. But, thickness of the crinkle cut fries still kept the crispiness of the fries intact and the light sprinkle of salt and delicious drizzle of the cheese really made these fries a complement to the SmokeShack burger. Invictus Concrete: This was SUPER sweet right off the bat. Concretes are made up of frozen custard with pieces of waffle cone, caramel drizzle, and chocolate. Again, be prepared for the sweetness! OVERALL: Now that I've had Shake Shack burgers, I can't help but have happy thoughts thinking about them. Each bite was more savory than the last and satisfied my carb/carnivore cravings. I enjoyed it so much, I immediately started googling to see where the nearest Shake Shack was near my house. Why are they all in LA?! Can we bring a Shake Shack to Orange County please?? This was my second time coming to Shake Shack because I've been to the one at Vegas. I wasn't really wow-ed in Vegas and wanted to give it another chance here, which I wasn't wow-ed either. Shake Shack is kinda known like the "In-N-Out of New York" but wayyy more expensive. There's definitely a lot more options at Shake Shack but with the price and quality, I would definitely choose In N Out. I ordered a single stack without cheese (because I don't like cheese) and crinkle cut fries. I honestly really just came here because I love crinkle cut fries. The burger was whatevers honestly because there wasn't really anything special about it. It was still good but it wasn't worth the price. I definitely prefer In N Out burgers. All of that came out to be about $8-9 in which something equivalent in In N Out would be like $4-5. I didn't even get to order a drink for myself at Shake Shack. Parking can be a little tricky in the area, you have to find street parking or metered parking. This store is right next to Egg Slut and Philz Coffee and across the street is Din Tai Fung if you want an alternative. All in all, I would definitely always choose In N Out. Maybe once in a while, I'll get some Shake Shack when I'm really craving it. Been here a handful of times, although my first time I think was at the West Hollywood location. Enjoyed the 'Shroom burger +cherry peppers, pickles, & onions, but haven't quite got the cheese pull as the burger cools quite quickly. However, Shake Shack is poppin', especially on the weekends, so seating can be difficult. The boyfriend and I ordered the Shroom Burger, Chick'n Shake, Fries, and a Coffee Shake. Surprisingly, I really enjoyed the Shroom Burger! I'm not a big fan of portobello mushroom, but it was breaded and fried to perfection with great flavors. And, the cheese was amazing! On the other hand, I was surprised that I did not like the Chick'n Shake. It wasn't anything special... It lacked flavoring, it was dry and just boring. Bummer! I was looking forward to the Chick'n Shake the most... However, the fries were delicious and so was the Coffee Shake! Overall, I enjoyed my second first-time experience at Shake Shack! Shake Shack never seems to disappoint. I've been to many Shake Shacks across The US and this one is definitely one of my favorites. Big ups to the kitchen for keeping the flavor profile that I know and love. Cashier was training and hit all the steps of service that made sure my order had everything I need. I consider myself a fan of Shake Shack overall, and I am slightly embarrassed to admit that I have eaten at seven different Shake Shacks located in three different states and DC. With that said, I can't give this Shake Shack more than three stars because it is so inconsistent. Sometimes the shack burger is made well with the right proportion of meat, cheese, veggies and sauce. Other times, the meat is misshapen, the bun is squished and the lettuce leaf looks more like a garnish than a topping. What's always good at shake shack? I liked the sauce, the cheesy goodness, and the crispy exterior of the mushroom. I found the actual Portobello part difficult to chew. Would've preferred the mushroom cut in slices... Buns were so good! Single SmokeShack: Basically, a cheeseburger with bacon and chopped pepper, drowned in ShackSauce. My boyfriend pretty much inhaled it in half the time it took me to eat my burger. Cheesy Fries: I usually don't like criss-cut fries, but yum! These are crispy and salty and topped with cheddar and American cheese. Almost $5, but worth it. I always preferred Shake Shack to In-n-Out when it was exclusively on the east coast but now that it's here I think In-n-Out is better, but it's mainly because of the price point. I actually think the burgers are both delicious in their own way, but you can get an entire meal at In-n-Out for half the cost. Everything at Shake Shack is a la carte. I do, however, appreciate the variety that Shake Shack has to offer. I typically get the single shack burger but sometimes I'll get the chicken burger and sometimes I'll dabble with the shroom burger too. I also love their French fries, because crinkle cut fries are top tier fries. I also love their custards although I don't get them often. Minus one star for soggy bun. The gold standard in California is In n Out so compared to a typical in n out sandwich I'd say there's an extra level of decadence and grease that comes with a price. I loves my sandwich but about 5 bites in I could feel the bun already getting soggy from all the juices flowing out from the burger. The bun is sweet tasting and very delicious and compliments the patty and toppings well but because it is such a soft and fluffy type of bread it soaks up everything even when toasted. The Coffee fair shake was perfect in sweetness and texture. Compared to in n out the shake actually goes up the straw and isn't too thick. Over all the area is bustling with lots of shopping and eateries. I'd go to shake shack again but maybe for a quick option. Just the barebones of our two burgers and two small drinks and we shared a small fries came out to $23 and change. Buck for buck with In n Out it's more expensive to eat here. I've eaten at Shake Shack in West Los Angeles and it tasted much better than this location. It was juicier and more flavorful than this location. The hype does NOT live up to expectations. Maybe I came on a bad day, but I simply did not enjoy anything I had here. However, the service I received was not bad. I got the Shack Stack and fries and that ran me a total of $14.14. Double what my typical In-n-Out would have cost me. A 3x3 at In-n-Out costs less than their single Shack Burger. Mmmm... yeah I don't know. I digress. The fries: Were just your average fries. Overly crunchy, not soft in the middle. Meh. Bland. Compared to my favorite fries places (Five Guys, Phil's BBQ, Woodranch, Popeyes) it doesn't even compare. The Shack Stack: All I can remember tasting is the deep fried mushroom and cheese. I feel like that over powered the burger. While I love cheese and mushrooms, if there aren't enough veggies it just makes the whole burger dry and kind of gross. The mushroom was a bit hard to chew through at times. Kind of like how if you're eating a steak sandwich and you're trying to bite off a piece of meat but you can't cut it clean with your teeth and you end up having to use your hands to pull it away or otherwise just pull the whole slice of meat in your mouth? Yeah. That's kind of what happened with the mushroom. Unfortunately, I cannot recall the flavors of the meat, sauce, and veggies. I just remember it being extremely dry. My friend's vegetarian but she didn't like cheese... so pretty much the only thing she could get would be a dessert item and fries. She ended up getting the concrete with toffee and chocolate or something. I tried a bit of it and it didn't taste like anything special. Just ice cream with some chunks of Heath Bar mixed in. My group suggested we go somewhere else but she said she'd be fine but I still felt pretty bad for her because I think she enjoyed her "meal" even less. Price is pretty important to me but I'll look past it if the food was good or if I had an enjoyable experience but Shake Shack missed the mark toady. I think I'll have to come back on a better day and maybe order a drink or a beer next time. Shake shack is a great burger establishment. For the west coasters, it has had a lot of talk comparing it to the In N out of the east cost. As it finally arrived on the westside, I was able to try it at the various locations that are available. I can gladly say that their burgers are awesome! Not only are their burgers great, their fries with cheese on the side really gives the experience something really special. To top it all off this establishment sells beer. Its very rare when you can go into a fast food type place and grab a nice cold one. My only downside to such a great place is their price. Grabbing a double smoke shack burger, some cheese fries, and one of their shake-toberfest mugs ran almost $30. Kinda pricey for any day eating. VERDICT: Rinse and repeat. read more

Vegetarian Review: Mushroom burger is delicious. Maybe not enough to be full if you're really hungry, but the bun is soft, and the portabello mushroom is breaded and fried, with innards that reveal themselves to be warm, gooey cheese. A slice of tomato and a leaf of lettuce round out the burger. Warm, soft, and delicious. Crinkle cut fries: crisp. Much, much (much) better than Del Tacos crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The cheese fries are not that worth it. Not enough cheese, I don't think. Seating sucks. Boo suck. Most of the time, people have to wait and stalk people, which is never fun. The wait is longer than other burger places, but then again, you'll probably be waiting for a seat, which kind of, sadly, works out. Parking can be pretty bad in the paid parking lot behind the restaurants, but just down the street is a large parking structure (free for, um, 60- 90min?). The walk isn't too bad. read more

I would say one of the best burger place to LA! My family and friends went here for my brother's birthday because he suggested this place. He has been religiously telling us of how good is this burger place so we decided to check it out on his special day. The place is solid for a fast food joint because they have everything you need in a fast food. They even have fast food for dogs; this place is cool. The ambiance looks like a better version of Five Guys. Customers and employees seems to be enjoying to be in here, so the vibe is great! The bun is like a Hawaiian rolls; it sweet and the perfect bread to hold that massive patty. Oh yes, their patties are huge; almost double the size of a regular patty from another burger joint. The quality of the party did not disappoint either since it is juicy and melt in to your mouth goodness. My little brother and my girlfriend ordered a road house double stack burger. It is basically like a double stack burger but this one have cheese and bacon. My girlfriend described it, "might as well call it a lots of bacon burger" since all she can taste is the bacon. They really put a handful of bacon on that burger; it is quite a manly food, fosho. My birthday boy brother and his friend on the other hand ordered their classic Shake Shack double stack burger. The cheese makes a lot of difference in that burger. It became more juicy and creamier than a regular double stack. Of course we ordered fries as well; it is crispy and tasty like any other fries should to compliment the burger. What I really like about this joint is their Coffee shake. Shake Shack Glendale - Great food deserves a nice presentation! - Burgers Near Me - Glendale, California

Finally got a chance to try the famous Shake Shack, and my verdict is - mehh, it's alright. I came to Glendale when it was first opening, and the line was crazy! Came back several months later and luckily there was not a long line. So Shake Shack has made its way to Glendale, across the street from the Americana. You can park at the structures for the Galleria or Americana, or find street parking! There are a good number of tables here, but it seems like there's always people occupying seats, so good luck finding a spot when you're eating during primetime. Order at the front, and you'll get a pager that will alert you when the food is ready. Napkins, ketchup, water - all self serve at the front. Originally we had come to Shake Shack wanting to try the shroom burger. I think we weren't too clear on what to order because when the worker told us that it's vegetarian, we were like "no meat? No thanks." Apparently we should have ordered the Shack Stack. So we just went a double ShackBurger and a Chick'n Shack. And of course two orders of the popular crinkle cut fries. These burgers are not cheap, so I was expecting to be blown away. The double ShackBurger is $8.09, a lot more than a Double Double at In-N-Out, but the burger seemed to be much smaller than Double Double. Basically a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato and ShakeSauce. It was alright, but definitely nothing special about it. Meat was good and the ShakeSauce gave it a unique taste, but if I had to choose - I'd rather get In-N-Out. Chick'n Shack is just $6.29 for crispy chicken breast with lettuce, pickles, and a buttermilk herb mayonnaise sauce. I thought the chicken sandwich wasn't too bad. I'm a fan of chicken, so I think I liked this more than the ShackBurger. The slab of chicken breast was pretty big, with lots of shredded lettuce. Had to add lots of ketchup, but the chicken was tender, crispy, and juicy. I would probably order this again. Crinkle cut fries - they were pretty good! Like other reviewers have mentioned, crispy on the outside, but soft on the inside. Good flavoring, not too salty. And it's pretty fun eating crinkly fries. But I think I prefer In-N-Out's fries to Shake Shack's. They also are well-known for their Concretes and shakes (of course, since it's in the name!), but not a big fan of milkshakes so ended up opting out. Wish I got to try the Shack Stack - I think that's what I will order the next time I try Shake Shack again. tl;dr - I think I had really high expectations, just from all the buzz around Shake Shack opening in LA. Meh, it was just okay for me - I'm glad I grew up on In-N-Out because I'd choose their burgers and fries over Shake Shack's any day! read more

I had to try what the whole rave about this place was. They open pretty late for a Saturday..so we waited outside until they opened. By 10:30am, a line started forming and the restaurant was quickly filled by the time they opened at 11am. I chose the burger with the fried mushroom inside and a side of fries. The total cost was about $13 and this didn't come with a drink! The burger itself was amazing and delicious. The beef patty felt thicker and more filling. The mushroom cap was stuff with cheese and then fried in whole. Every bite was great! I don't really understand the competition between in n out to shake shack. In n out's menu has a few options and shake shack has a large variety of options. In n out still tops the heart but shake shack will be my gourmet in n out read more
