The tacos are very delicious and authentic and with a nice variety of proteins, and the burritos are so yummy and BIG! You can't go wrong with any of the food. The service is great and they are attentive and kind. You can eat in or order to go. Either way, the food is delicious. Cabeza tacos were fantastic. Mild and medium salsa were given upon request. Ordered the Monday special that features a chicken and beef kebab. I liked the chicken, but felt the beef could have used more grilling in fire. Parts of the platter: the green sauce was great, the rice was a bit bland, the jalapeno was giving true LA sun hotness, and the charred tomato was fun. The two tacos were the highlight for me. This fast casual restaurant off the main road is next to the Little Caesars and across from the Arco. Give the Mexican food a try. read more

The food here is bar: FEW. By that I mean, how often, in the ENTIRE city of our beloved Los Angeles, do you come around middle eastern and Mexican restaurants rolled into one establishment!? So obvious and yet, in this vast cosmopolitan metropolis we call LA, known for its proliferation of fusion foods and hip gourmet pioneers galore, Mex-Medi cuisine is SHOCKINGLY far and few (if even that) between, that is, UNTIL NOW... But it makes sense doesn't it? The Arabs colonized Spain, the Spaniards did Mexico, and the Lebanese, while they may not have forced in the same history of intrusive involvement, nevertheless, they introduced Al Pastor, which is now virtually inseparable from what we call in the modern age, PROPER Mexican food. So duh! Given all that Middle Eastern and Mexican food should work and it DOES, ESPECIALLY here. Thank you, MUCHISIMAS GRACIAS señores and señoras for having my quintessential favorite -- the medi taco -- with Pastor ESPECIALLY. The kebob, the falafel, and just about anything among the quality staples of Mexican meats are just as well fine additions. And not only is the food to die for, but the service gives off an at-home dining experience; simply put, here they are very much to the ROOTS. Friendly faces, welcome attention, a REAL mom-and-pop operation, and when stopping by for these homey and amazingly delicious foods, what is better than feeling at home than imagining your sinking into a savory bite of Abuela's cooking while being embraced by her unmatched hospitality? HOWEVER, given what was mentioned about the scarcity of Mexican-Mediterranean eateries, I just WISH that this location was more visible and distinguished from the outside to show for the exceeded potential that the food has surpassed!!! But many would never know, or at the very leastmost, be hinted at. The color-flashing strip lights along the windows make it seem like it's any other Mexican hole-in-the wall or taco truck, just about ANYWHERE in LA, which it is DEFINITELY NOT. As a former CFO in a couple of catering industries with a minor of arts in still photography, I commend the quality but I remain critical of the presentation. In relating to aesthetics, it could do without the tacky lighting (both inside and outside) so as to stand out competitively against the exhausting clusters upon clusters of taquerias and Mexican restaurants painting all over this city of angels. Why reinvent the wheel when you invented the motor? You've already gone this far, as to my knowledge, running the ONLY Medi-Mex restaurant I've come to know, so why not take it all the way?, and let the exterior presentation show inside how excellent the food is provided that now the food has more than spoken for itself. Just my two cents. I'll definitely be coming back. My friends will too, if they can get past their pedestrian socialite vanity, beyond superficial, detached preconceptions, that this is NO ordinary Mexican restaurant. Presentations should be damned, but this is the world we're living in. The food may be good (in this case EXCELLENT), but the bitter truth is appearances DO matter. Clean restaurant, super friendly staff, and very accommodating. The food was so good I completely forgot to take photos. We ordered the chicken kebab with rice and hummus -- the rice was buttery and flavorful, the hummus was creamy and delicious, and the chicken was tender and juicy. The beef lule was really tasty too. Only downside is the small shared parking lot, which can definitely be a challenge during busy hours. Definitely a spot I'd come back to. read more

Great tacos, great kabobs. Not many spots can claim that! The food is tasty (good bang for your buck), parking is spotty despite the parking lot, but above all the staff here is really great. Here are my favorites. Burrito - I'm partial to the carne asada here, and I normally ask for their garlic sauce in it instead of the salsa. Very, very good. Added chips are a bonus. Quesadilla - Reasonably price especially if you consider that they give you both sour cream AND guacamole on the side. Not many places do this. LA Fries - I think the photo on their website is wrong because I received a heaping portion of fries! Love the sauce on this one. Beef Sultani - Very tender beef, we're talking fork tender. I personally think that their tacos are a tad bit stronger than their kabobs, but both are worth a try. read more

I really wanted to give this place a higher rating but here it goes. When I showed up to pick up the order, the place was deserted, not a soul eating there. There was a weird smell I couldn't figure out what it was. Well I had to wait for our order. It wasn't late, I was early. My fish tacos were ok. We ordered some chicken tacos without pico de gallo and there was pico de gallo we had to spend 10 minutes picking out the onions and tomato :(. The co see quesadilla was not great: whole lot of cheese and sat on top of corn chips that got all soggy. The rest of the stuff was ok. The hummus was fine but the falafels were very dry. The asada was tender and did not have any fatty pieces. The pastor had flavor but not overpowering and once I added lime and the salsa they were even better! Upon entering I was immediately greeted by a happy voice from behind the counter, welcoming me in. I told the person I'm a vegetarian and kinda just wanted a burrito, but was curious about the Impossible Kebobs. They recommended I try the Kebob Burrito and y'all... It did not disappoint! The thing was huge, the flavors were great, and it came with multiple sauces all which complimented the overall experience. (That hot sauce with the Mediterranean garlic sauce was ) Generally I'd say the price was a little higher than I'd like ($20 for a burrito), but I get it. Impossible Meat ain't cheap. This is more of a "start at 100% and get points off for deductions" experience. I ordered a Chile Rellano and an Horchata. I was offered chips and salsa while I waited. The restaurant was clean and I was greeted immediately upon entry. Service was friendly. The chips and salsa were fine. The horchata was fine. The chile rellano was huge but just fine, not as good as I've had it at other places. I appreciate the juicy lime wedges, sliced radishes, and charred jalapeño. It elevated the experience to almost what little Mexican spots used to be like where you helped yourself to such items. Slight deduction for blandness but slight increase for the little perks so it's a five for now.
