First time trying out the Harold Square location of Shake Shack! When you're starving you want to know that what you are going to eat is good AND this location didn't miss the mark! I arrived around noon and it was already packed. Once I placed my order on the kiosk, found an open seat at a high top, my food was brought to me in less than 10 minutes! The woman who delivered the food ensured she handed me the right tray by greeting me by name (love that). My only feedback was there were quite a few people at the kiosk having trouble placing their orders (lack of knowledge on how to use) which created a wait time. Not sure of the capacity of the team but having someone come over to answer any questions or help move their ordering process along might be beneficial. read more

I've managed to come across a Shake Shack in the city with adequate service and abundant seating. Something like this you'd only be able to find in the outer boroughs but I've come across one right nearby Macy's in Herald Square. I've ordered my food on the app and to be honest, it was a solid idea because the place even though it's bigger than most locations in the city, was still packed with people. Unlike my last visit at a Shake Shack in midtown which took almost an eternity to get my food ready, it was done 4 minutes before the estimated time for it to be done and the server was courteous and accommodating, something you'd see out of Chick Fil-A. Despite the crowd of people in the large area, I managed to find a seat and went to have my food, a Big Shack, a Smoke Shack burger, fries and soda. I decided to withhold the shake for now and it was a good choice because the Big Shack as a whole, is a massive mountain of meat (Pause) and that along with the fries filled me up. I only ate a bit of the smoke Shack until I decided to have it later. I don't even need to go into detail with the food in Shake Shack, it's always at the top of it's game. I've had bad service at a Shake Shack location, I've had problems trying to eat inside a Shake Shack but I've NEVER had any bad food from Shake Shack so you definitely get your money's worth on that. Can you imagine having a milkshake on a frigid day? Well, I did as I had not had a strawberry milkshake for over a year. Granted I was sitting inside and Shake Shack wasn't particularly warm but this shake tasted delicious. I ate a single Smoke Shack with it. The peppers kept falling and I hadn't taken a fork to eat them. The milkshake took a while to soften but each sip was delightful. Jessica, a six month employee, who was serving was kind to me when I told her that my shake seemed to have tiny nuts inside. She insisted that no nuts are in this shake. A mystery indeed. read more

Came here for shakes on a Saturday afternoon. You can order at a kiosk, but the one we tried didn't work, so we tried to pay cash at the register. My biggest "complaint" is that some customers take seating meant for a larger group. A couple may sit at a table for 4-6 people then the larger group struggles to find seating. They could not have been nicer in here. The food is... shake shack so this is not a review of that. I was craving ice cream at 11pm and was heading back to my hotel in Herald Square. The custard at Shake Shack is always solid so I stopped in. Now the ice cream was good but the reason for this review is that the woman that was helping me had no reason to be as nice as she was she delivered my ice cream and forgot to get a spoon. It was taking like 10 seconds longer than I wanted so I went up and grabbed it, and saw her heading back to my table with the spoon. She was COMPLETELY apologetic and offered to get my anything else. I declined but was just floored by how much she cared. Anyway the people at this location are doing good work at probably the second hardest Shake Shack location in the country (next to Times Square). I have mixed feelings about this location. For that, I would give 3.5 stars if I could. After many hours of shopping with my girls, we decided to get us some Shack Shake for our ride home back uptown. With all that being said some how everytime I make a visit, it seems somehow their is a mishap with my order. The last time I didn't receive fries, they gave me an extra set for free. This time, someone took my order that was made to go to a table that we were not at because we were not dining in. We had already been there for over 30 minutes, and now we had to wait like another 20 minutes for a new order. I will say this is where Shake Shack stands out best in. The customer service is always excellent. They decided to give me a refund for the mistake made on their part and still gave me the new order for free, for all the time waiting and my children and self were hungry. The food turned out to be very good and my girls were happy. So, although the wait time was ridiculous, the customer service made up for some of the inconvenience. This is my favorite fast food burger. When I lived in Miami, we used to go here all the time. I remember going to its first location in Madison Square Park, so it was really fun to try another location in New York. I will say this one gets REALLY busy. So there is a bit of a wait in line and for food to come out. But there wasn't too much issue finding a seat. They have booths and tables that can fit large or small groups. Keepin it real out here in Shake Shack I still remembered vividly the first time I had a Shake Shack burger, it was a random day after high school hanging out with my friends in Grand Central, and it was the best, cheesiest tiny burger I ever had. Back to the birthplace of Shake Shack! It's crazy there are so many of them now when I used to have to go to Madison Square Park and wait outside to enjoy a delicious shroom burger with fries and shake. My friend and I were at Penn Station and after some shopping were famished. Thankfully we were steps away from this location for Shake Shack! Seating looked like it was going to be a challenge but literally right when our food order was called a table became available. The wait time for food was roughly 8-10 minutes - way to go Shake Shack team! My shroom burger was everything I was hoping for and counting on. Shake shack is always consistent in what they do and they do it great! The service at this location was good as it didn't take long for us to get our burgers. The burgers were hot and the cheese was freshly melted and oozing out of the sides. The breading on the outside of the mushroom was perfectly crisp and the mushroom was juicy.
