I recommend going here only because it's one of the two only places in the former San Francisco Westfield mall food court that hasn't closed down yet. It's what you expect from a Shake Shack, I guess. It's pretty good food but pretty expensive. If you have the app, I recommend using it to place your order if there happen to be any promo codes you can use to get a discount on food. Otherwise, your only other option in this mall is Panda Express.

With shake in the name, Shake Shack shakes should be good right? I was in the mood for a sweet drink while shopping and saw that there was a variety of limited edition shakes on the menu. After ordering a Cherry Blossom Shake ($6.99 + tax), I waited for a text, and picked up my shake from a staff member ~5 minutes later. +Hand-spun, it was creamy yet refreshing: Not as heavy or cloyingly sweet as other milkshakes I've tried. +Whipped cream was airy and milky +Sprinkles on top were crunchy +Compostable cup and straw were durable. -Flavor reminded me of almonds. Other items I tried during my previous visit: +Fries -ShackBurger Side notes: 1.) Located on the Concourse Level of the former Westfield San Francisco Centre 2.) Walking distance from Powell Station, which is connected to the mall *Verdict: Not my fave spot for burgers, but their shake was pretty good.

Ordered online and picked up; my order was ready when I arrived. The store is located inside the San Francisco Centre's concourse-level food court. Efficient service and a satisfying meal! Had the Shake Shack burger--Angus beef cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, and ShackSauce on a toasted potato bun--fries, and the Chocolate Yule Log Shake made with chocolate frozen custard, chocolate cake pieces, whipped cream, cake crumbles, and festive sprinkles.

Give SS some love. The Centre looks dismal. SS is still standing. If you have their app, highly recommend downloading it. On their app, you can customize your own burger. Add or not add, lettuce, onions, pickles, or dressing. I asked for no salt on my fries. You get sodas for $1, shakes for $5 (not holiday ones), crinkle fries $3. They are featuring this massive "big Shake Shack" burger with two patties for $9.95. I ordered the strawberry shake, smoke burger (buy one get one free), crinkle fries without salt. Fries were so darn good. Melty in the inside. Once cold, not good. Smoke has real bacon. All good enough for two. What a deal. so fresh. Service was fastish. They have lots of pick ups. I do feel bad. No cashier, so two people were struggling to order on their computer. I used to struggle with their app, but I finally got the hang of it. In the past, I always had to scroll down to all the California shops to find the SF ones.

This is my first experience at a shake shack. received half of a grilled cheese sandwich and seven onion rings for $21.32. Shake shack is a poor value for your money. I did appreciate the grilling of the sandwich and the chocolate shake was OK. I would like to point out all the workers were working very hard.

8:3/2023 Last time I had a shake shack was the last trip in Vegas..(at the airport).. My youngest loves the chicken sandwich.. I just went with a single shack and fries. Different set up, as you walk up to the kiosk and order yourself.. Only interaction is when you go and pick your order up.. Can't resist krinkle cut fries and the were perfect.

Truffle burger and tiramisu shake downstairs. First off, service is super slow....and usually there are a couple of people in line because thus is one of the more popular food court places. My burger tasted like it had been sitting for a while. Cold onion rings on the truffle burger, and a bit oily. Tiramisu shake was kind of coffee tasting with chunks of soggy cake pieces. Shake shack you can definitely do better!

I love their burgers! I always order ahead thru the app so I never have to wait unless I arrive earlier than I scheduled it for pick up. It's always been ready on time. Their meat patties is juicy and moist and flavorful. I just wish the app allowed me to add extra lettuce and tomatoes even if it was an additional charge. I wish they would bring back the black truffle burger but their standard shake shack burger is pretty solid.

I'll tell you an old love story that started in New York. A young man staying in Hell's Kitchen walked into a burger joint. At this burger spot they smashed the patties flat and everything from the burger, fries, to shakes were amazing. He loved everything about it so much, he went back the next day. Even when he went to what was newly built at the time, Citi Field to see the Mets play baseball, that same burger joint was located in center field and he loved it so much that he waited in line two innings just to get his hands on that burger. But in the words of Earth, Wind, and Fire: "Somethin' happened along the way, What used to be happy was sad Somethin' happened along the way And yesterday was all we had And oh, after the love has gone" The chain continued to grow. Expanding throughout the world from Dubai to Singapore. With locations popping up all over the Bay Area, Stanford, Oakland, Marin, to Westfield Mall in SF. But that first love is gone. The burger now feels more like a slider. The shake is more like chocolate milk. Even the new chicken sandwich is just lackluster. It just doesn't have the magic that is had before. It changed when they expanded out of New York. Something happened along the way and yesterday was all we had. And oh, after the love has gone.

The beef tasted fresh, that's all they have going for them. One small tomato in the burger isn't enough. Also overpriced at $10. In n out still dominates with $3 fresh burgers.

Super busy location located in the central of SF. It's in the basement level of the mall right by the food court. No matter what day I come, there's always a long line so I recommend ordered through the app. They have a couple iPad screens you can self-order from. The food is on par with other locations, I usually get the normal cheeseburger and fries.

    Cecilia M.

A very busy location! Be prepared for a wait. But service was very good here. During a busy weekday lunch hour, we ordered quickly with a human (there was other lines for kiosk ordering), and my friend and I enjoyed a hot and delicious Animal Style Burger, a Avo Chicken Bacon Burger and signature crinkle fries -- along with a dairy-free chocolate shake. Everything was great!

I got the truffle burger, it was great i really liked the crispy onions. This location is in the mall. You order at a kioski and then a server will call when you order is ready or you can receive a text message.

The woman at the counter was really friendly. I used to work retail and dealing with customers, even at the start of the shift, can wear you down pretty quick. So I gotta give props to her for being positive during this very busy day. I got the crispy hot honey chicken tacos, which is one of this month's specials. It came with delicious sweet corn, cabbage slaw, chipotle mayo, and a cilantro-lime crema. It's basically the flavors of elote with fried chicken and it yummy! The breading on the chicken was even and crisp. And I enjoyed the spicy-sweet flavor of the honey, which complemented the chipotle mayo. I also enjoyed the crunch from the cabbage and the softness of the flour tortilla. I paired with it the fried Brussels sprouts to get another veggie into my meal. Though I do love very charred sprouts, there was a hint of bitterness. I may have needed more lime to cut that. The jalapeño mayo was good. But I think tossing it in pork fat is the way to go with Brussels sprouts to really pump up the flavor. I'm not sure what oil they fry it in. I think I'll stick to their sweet potato fries, which never disappoints. It's always busy there, but it's never too difficult to find a place to sit. It's shared seating, with long tables inside and large tables outside. But my friend and I took it to go so we can have dinner with the show. The quality of Gott's has been consistent over the years across their locations. So it's a tried and true place to get a delicious meal.
