Love Shakey's.. love Mojo potatoes. Love the lunch buffet.. unbelievable deal at just 8 bucks a person. Especially considering the prices (rather high) on the menu excluding the lunch buffet.. a Large Meal Deal is like $32. What?! Really? Gosh. So gotta love the AYCE (all you can eat) buffet.. They have all sorts of different pizza, tons of roasted and fried chicken, garlic bread, mojos, a simple salad bar, garlic bread, mediocre spaghetti, some very mediocre steamed veggies, mashed potatoes and gravy that are tasty, and seasoned rice.. The only complaint I have is that the pizza sauce is too sweet for my taste. Other than that, I like the rest, and even still like the pizza. It's all good, 4 stars for me.. Would definitely go again. Atmosphere's pretty nice too, and the service is friendly also. read more

Free soda refills / pitcher of beers are also available ( they will ask for ID ). Has several televisions so you have the ability to watch your favorite sporting event. Pricing is fair. Shakeys in Burbank. I went there for lunch today...and haven't been there in over 20 years. The restaurant was clean and wonderfully air conditioned. The cashier, Brenda, was superb...she was very friendly, fast, and just awesome! The food was hot, there was plenty everywhere, and it was all fresh. The tastes immediately took me back to my childhood...Mo-Jo potatoes and pizza...oh the nostalgia! Thank you, Shakeys, for giving me a taste of my youth. Oh, no no no no no. No, no. Being new to the area, my husband and I saw lots of these Shakey's locations and though "Looks like a local favorite. We should try it out." So we went on a Friday evening after from a long work week hoping for some good food and good atmosphere. What we got was the exact opposite. First their parking lot was FULL and then some. We drove down the street and parked in some dark side street. After ordering our food and sitting down with a little flag with our order number on it, we were amazed to review that our meal for the two of us only cost $11.44. Not bad for a personal pan pizza, salad bar, wings and fries. The good mood caused by our cheap bill was quickly dampered when we realized that we were the only ones in the restaurant who a.) didn't have 5 kids running aroung shedding game tickets and crumbs everywhere OR b.) weren't part of a post-game soft-ball team. We waited and waited for our food to show up. The screaming kids and noisy TV's weren't a consolation during our patience. I in the meantime went to "salad bar" to curb my appetite, which was nothing more than a condiments bar, really, with some banana chips on the side. Iceburg letture and shredded carrots it is. Our food FINALLY came after a 45-minute wait. We ate it in a hurry since by then we were in a hurry to get out of the noisy - and quite dirty - restaurant. The food was nothing you yourself couldn't microwave at home or at work on your lunch break. We had stomach aches all night afterward. We should have just spent our $11.44 buying microwaveable pizzas and a bag of iceburg lettuce to enjoy in the quiet of our own home. Ugh, Shakey's. read more

There was a customer who came in for grubhub and he was rude to not only the employees but other customers. I myself got pushed aside by him so he could angrily yell about not getting his food yet. We've all been waiting, they were extremely busy and we all understood that. He harassed this poor woman who worked there 3 or 4 times. Once he finally got his food, the manager told him it wasn't okay and that he'd be reporting him to grubhub. Dude backtracked and tried to act like he was innocent and didn't do anything wrong, probably because he knew grubhub would rip him a new one. Manager told him that he put the safety of his employees and other customers at risk and whatnot. I was just astonished to see that type of amazing action taken by a manager. He was really kind and I could tell he was stressed out about the situation. Just wanted to highlight the amazing service and staff, as well as point out that they really do care even if it's busy as hell. read more

This place is an Awesome old school pizza parlor that I've been coming to since I was a little kid now that I've moved away from Burbank I have to drive far to get here and it's still worth it after all these years I've come here only one time have they did something wrong but they immediately took care of the problem and have outstanding customer service it's nice to come to a familiar place where they continue to have outstanding customer service! Why my girlfriend loves this place is beyond me. I guess the lunch buffet is a good deal. I was only interested in the potato fries though. Nothing else seemed too appetizing. This one location in Burbank has been here for as long as I could remember. Great for sports and school fundraisers...This Shakey's is a little small compared to some other newer locations. Small great food. Perfect Mojos! The salad bar needs a little more TLC and maybe location or options and kept thinking it was missing something. YUMMMMM, I love me some Shakey's. Their lunch buffet is the best. Greasy, check. Cheap, check. All-you-can-eat, CHECK. For about $7.00, you get a variety of pizzas, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, spaghetti, mojo potatoes, salad, and corn. I think the buffet goes from 11am to 2pm, and its usually crowded, but not crowded enough where you can't grab a seat. The place is huge now, after the remodeling! Yay for Shakey's!!! read more

This Shakey's has been around since I was a child, I remember coming here for parties and pizza nights. Now I am able to hang out with my friends and share the same meals, except now with beer instead of sodas. The food is decent, the chicken and pizza are greasy to a point but not enough to be bothered much with, but the chicken is SUPER salty. That was a deal breaker because I just couldn't bear to eat more than a couple pieces when it hit me. It's a bit pricey for what you get, $30 for a "large" pizza with chicken and mojos that left 3 decently sized guys still fairly hungry afterwards. But whatever, the beer made us kind of not care, especially since it was happy hour. Regardless, I wouldn't mind continuing to come back. read more

Worst experience I've had in a long time. My 3 year old and 10 year old niece hated the pizza and mojos were hard & chewy. The place had 2 employees that were able to do the registers, beer etc... all other employees were only able to clean and the place was a hot, disgusting, dirty mess! Half of the games were broken and we stood waiting for a 300 ticket lame, bouncy ball gumball machine toy! This place needs some serious attention or actually it should be torn down and built from scratch a place that families could go to enjoy a good, clean, fun pizza dinner with their kids! ($15.99) total was $30.20 yea for 12 wings and a medium pizza. Pizza Half burned refused it. Cooks forgot to make my wings so they left my pizza on the oven for 6 minutes + until the chicken was ready. NEVER coming here again. Only good if you have small kids. Other then that go to Dominoes. A shout out to Angel (General Manager) and Lorena at Shakey's Pizza Parlor in Burbank. I was having a lousy day and went for lunch there with my parents. Lorena asked me whether we wanted to go for the lunch buffet. Without realizing, I said no and went ahead and placed an a la carte order. When we sat on the table I realized that we had the buffet option (don't ask, I was brain-dead). My mom went over and talked to Angel and Lorena. Guess what... they allowed us to change our order and refunded us the difference! And it gets better.... Angel brought over half the veggie pizza I had ordered earlier to our table, and said that the other half was at the buffet table if we needed more (my mom's vegetarian). We felt so well taken care of! My mom is not a big eater, but even she went over and took several helpings from the buffet table. She liked the pizza and also the macaroni salad. My dad loves buffets and he loved the chicken. Thank you so much, Angel and Lorena! We promise we'll be back for more. read more

Shakey's Pizza Parlor is a great place for not only pizza, but their lunch buffet! Bunch of Lunch goes most days (if not, everyday) from 11 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon. They have a small selection of pizzas, Italian breads, spaghetti w/ marinara sauce, teriyaki meatballs w/ pineapple chunks, mojo potatoes, crispy fried chicken, oven roasted chicken, steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes w/ gravy, rice, a full salad bar, and much more! They have a fair drink selection and the customer service is spectacular. They grab plates for you and clear your table when it's full. The pizza was quite tasty, despite the fact it was a different version of the actual Shakey's classical pizzas. I've been at their Bunch of Lunches since I was a teenager, now I keep coming back! They were very friendly and I stopped by their arcade while I was there. The games are limited, but that doesn't stop the fun. The person in charge of the prize exchange was very patient and was willing to help us no matter what. I will definitely be back for future lunch buffets at Shakeys! read more

Maybe I'm just nostalgic, but Shakey's Pizza is the best in town. Went in for dinner and got a large peperoni and pineapple with extra sauce. Fantastic. The sauce is sweet and the thin crust still has a crunch to it. Add a side of mojos and a pitcher of Michelobe and it's pure magic. I would live to see it look more like it did when I was a kid. Bring back the dark pizza parlour look and the stage with the player piano. Get rid of the lame kids games and bring back the pinball machines. They did recently remodel, and it looks nice but it doesn't resemble a pizza parlour. 4 stars for the food, zero for decor. Still my favorite pizza ever. read more

I came here to celebrate my sisters 14th birthday. But the fact I have to say I regret choosing this spot because we got scammed hard af. We went to the arcade part wanting to have fun. We were exchanging 5 dollars at a time and it wasn't taking the money. We kept trying and it took 5 and only gave us $2 and 75 cents worth. I told an employee and the have us the full 5. It stoped working after that so I told my uncle. He came to see what was happening and it started working. The machine was racist and so were the games. I started playing and most of the games were temporarily out of order which made it less fun. We got scammed about 2,913 tickets. There was no balls in the clown one. When we went to go the exchange our tickets and I decided to confront the employee. I asked her if the games are always out of order of if it was a one time thing. She said she didn't know and they have been out of order for a while.I told her how there was not balls And we got scammed 88 tickets in one game. I had a mom and her son say that they got scammed aswell. I walked out very disappointed and will never come back as you guys shouldn't come either. read more

OMG. I haven't seen Shakey's in years so when i saw this place i was shocked that they still exist. I had fond memories when I was a kid so we tried it. Wow this place is pretty bad. The service was slow and the food was not good. The chicken was ok, but the pizza was probably the worst I've had. The place was messy and loud. I could see why there were so many families with little kids running around, because you could just let them loose and they can scream, cry and make a mess and nobody would care. Visited this location for dinner last night and ordered pizza, chicken and mojos. Everything was great except for the mojos. Not sure what happen but usually they're delicious, but not last night. Tasted old and flat. Potatoes were all thin and hard. I remember when they used to be nice thick cut potatoes, fluffy in the middle. Theses were potato chips!
