One of the best Caesar salads I've had in a while. They have a large menu, pretty sure you could find an option for anyone. Service is straightforward, even the other diners were kind. Shout out to the other customer that heard me debating my options and gave me a list of great things to try. They seem to have a consistent base of loyal customers as they called a lot of them by name. I love seeing that for small local businesses! I know this is random, but there is salt and pepper shakers are so neat! The bathroom, while there's only one stall, it was large and clean. Parking can be challenging, but we were lucky enough to find a parking spot right in front. The time that I went, there were a few parking spaces nearby (this was on an evening of a weekday). Caesar salad (5/5) I'm always on the hunt for the best Caesar salad, and this one definitely competes! This is one of the best stressed salads I've had. I really enjoyed the fine shopping of the lettuce. Everything was perfectly balanced. Shrimp Fresca (4/5) - great portion, and the flavor was great. I really enjoyed the pesto on top. The sauce was nice and creamy with a little bit of tart from the sun-dried tomatoes. Hate that they are so far from me. Otherwise I would be there every week. I definitely recommend this if you're in the area. Plus they're super close to some dessert shops so you can get a treat after your meal. Support your local, small businesses!

June 27, 2023 Came to town for a concert and picked this place. Shandy herself (owner) waited on us; very sweet. We sat at the bar and I just had FF and my friend had a mushroom swiss burger that she loved. The spicy shandy was yummy. My friend liked her specialty cocktail too.

Took me a minute to figure out why the woman working was so short with us. We aren't from the Heights so the demographic that comes here are the resturants biggest supporters. She was kind and talkative to every non-black person (we are the only ones - and she is black). If this is her personality usually that's unfortunate. Being nice to all customers brings you regulars but I digress. .... The food was good, warm, and fresh. The breakfast sandwich was super cheesy, I say more meat on there would be better. Won't be back because I can't stand being treated like that. Our Hispanic waitress however was amazing and sweet. She was attentive and welcoming.

Meh. Nothing special here. Still in Houston, we ordered delivery so can't speak to service or ambiance. The delivery came quickly enough. The turkey sandwich was just turkey and bread and a very small portion. Disappointing. The "chicken veggie" soup had plenty of chicken but little else. Just a few carrots and celery and a little of what looked like fideo pasta. It needed salt and veggies. The "club" sandwich was cut in half, not quarters, and had no layers. It was basically just a BLT, and not a very good one. Mixed fruit had no strawberries nor melon nor pineapple. It was just apples, grapes and blueberries. Salad was mainly lettuce with a tiny bit of tomato. The "German chocolate cake" was most disappointing. The cake was dark chocolate, not german chocolate and not fresh. The icing was mainly fudge icing. There was a little of what was supposed to be coconut caramel icing between the layers but not good. No pecans and no flavor. Probably came from a can. The oatmeal cookie was so bland my husband only ate part of it. Food was edible, but dry and small portions for the price. Definitely not worth going back again.

The fried chicken was well balanced, good brine and a crispy delicate batter. The bread with butter and jam was also quite decent. And prices were not too jaw breaking for an upscale brunch experience. Would definitely come back again!

Seems to be a martini place but I had a Manhattan and really enjoyed it, it was a strong drink but very tasty. The kampachi crudo was very light but also flavorful with fun textures from the toppings. The mussels on bread were savory and buttery, really liked the addition of the large beans. The pappardelle with the wide noodles was so fun and there was lots of parm which I liked, and the lemon zest was a nice touch. The squash was soft and I loved the ricotta. The campanelle was really unique with the crawfish and the spicy sauce, the noodle shape was so fun. The cheeseburger is tiny but mighty, super juicy and cheesy. The fries were perfectly crispy. Mango sorbet was packed full of mango flavor! Really enjoyed this spot, can't believe it took me so long to get here. Probably best to get a reservation. Small parking lot available.

It is tiny and packed tight inside, but they do have patio seating as well. Parking is very limited, but you can find street parking nearby. Reservations are highly recommended but walk ins are welcome. We had a few people taking care of us that night and they were all great. I was between a few items and they were very helpful in steering me in the right direction. We started off with a few bottles of wine to get the night started. From what I understand, their wine list is one of the things they are known for. Your only other option for an adult beverage is limited options of canned or bottled beers. I didn't really have a say in the wine we shared, but what we had was delicious and paired nicely with the items we ordered. For starters, we went with the highly recommended bread service. Get this! This bread was so good. I doubt they make it as ordered, but it came out like it was fresh out of the oven. It was a nice crusty bread with a fluffy interior served on a cutting board with a huge smear of miso butter. We then went with the Crispy Cauliflower which was one of my favorite dishes of the night. It was smothered in a gochujang aioli and reminded me of a general tso chicken or something. Very good. Thai Chili Rubs was next and these were so good as well. I'm a sucker for all the Asian flavor profiles and this hit that. For my entree, I ended up with the Pork Chop w/ Chutney. This was a huge chop on a layer of apple sauce and a wonderful chutney that contrasted the sweet sauce. Every layer worked well together. I will say the pork chop was just slightly over cooked, in some parts. It also came with green beans which was cooked just right. No room for dessert as we had another party to head to. Overall, I'm glad my friends picked this spot for their birthday celebration. I am now in the know about this place and will consider coming back in the future.

The Brussels sprouts were flash-fried perfectly, and I loved the sweetness of the chili honey glaze. The oysters had a nice crispy coating, but I found them to be a little bland. The redfish, though, was absolutely the star of the meal. I cleaned my plate. It was served with Hoppin' John and a lemon butter sauce.
