Worst experience shopping for a wedding ring here. I am beyond shocked at how terrible the whole situation has been. We came in here and placed an order for a wedding ring right after thanksgiving, and were told the rings would be ready in 6-8 weeks, our wedding is in March 2024 and we came here to the store 3 times so far and now they are saying the wedding ring won't be ready until end of March well after our wedding!! This is so outrageous!! I came to ShaneCo for their known customer service but we have had to come to the store 4 times physically to make sure our ring will be ready but I am beyond disappointed that it won't. Now we are told we will know more this upcoming Monday. If our ring won't be ready by our wedding date, I would like a refund and would like to go to another jeweler (like BlueNile that keeps their promise when you place an order and have a date they give you your item on time! I regret coming to Shane co and I really hope they make the ring, or provide a refund) we are so close to the wedding date, and it terrible that they are being this way. Now it gives us less than 5 weeks before the wedding and if this is not ready we have to find another jewler that can make our ring on time. I am so frustrated with this whole terrible experience that I don't want to give them any more of my business. Heck today I came in wanting to buy more jewelry and see that I cna pick up my ring which was promised it would be ready by end of January 2024 and we are in February and the new date is after our wedding! Updating as my last two experiences here were definitely better then a few months back. Despite them being short staffed on the holidays, the staff was super helpful, friendly, and got folks in and out relatively quickly but taking the time to make sure all your appointment needs were met. They still have online appointments, which I found was the best way to go, given there has been a line the two additional times I've gone and been there at opening time. As soon as I walked in the store I was immediately greeted and asked how they could assist me. I told them that I was here to pick up my order I placed on line. I went in early on a Saturday without an appointment hoping to walk out with a wedding band. I arrived 30 minutes after opening and within minutes, was helped. I was able to take my time to try on around 10 different options and was never rushed or pressured into purchasing anything. I sent in a precious piece of jewelry for cleaning--one that my late husband gave me, valued at over $7,000. There was absolutely no communication from their end during the entire process. After waiting longer than expected, I was horrified to find out that they delivered it to the wrong address. When I called customer service to sort this out, I was met with a dismissive and rude representative who showed zero empathy for my situation. Loved our visit 7/5/21. Did not realize there is a line before you go into either showroom, at the host stand. We just walked in and started browsing which was fine too. If I had to wait at a host stand to even take a look, we would've left. Once we determined there were some items we wanted to see, we got back in line. It was fast and we got matched with a salesperson, Danielle. This woman was awesome! Not pushy and annoying. It was such a smooth and comfortable process, and Shane Co has only exceeded my expectations as it's been a year and a half of fast and effective ring cleanings/service. A couple smaller diamonds fell out on my engagement ring after one of the cleanings. It took about a week to replace, and I'm so glad we went with Shane Co to have the worry-free warranty. I recently purchased a pair of diamond bar earrings for my sister in law, and she LOVES them. Her engagement ring and wedding band are also from Shane Co, so I knew she'd have no problem getting them registered under her name for cleanings when needed. I came in looking for a diamond tennis necklace for myself and Delaney approached me and was very friendly. We went through the current selection, and we discussed items that were online but not in store. She told me we could "transfer in" the item for free (no actual commitment to buy) and I was stoked. She said it would be there the next day from their San Mateo store! I've been on a hunt for the perfect diamond earring jackets for a while now and while window shopping online, I came across Shane Co. I called to make sure they had the item in-store, walked in, made an appt. to take a closer look. They called my name, brought out the jackets and allowed me to take my time examining the pieces before buying without feeling rushed and answered all of my 101 questions. Of course, I end purchasing them. The process was a breeze, it was cleaned once again, beautifully packaged in their signature red-ish/maroon box with a ribbon tied bow and all the paperworks. My diamond studs are beautiful as is. But these jackets adds so much more of a WOW factor and it not just only for my diamond studs but also for my pearl studs that I have. Lol I had no idea I would find my engagement and wedding band from here since I used to think the Shane radio commercial was so weird as a kid. I visited Shane twice sometime in late February and March of 2019. We were helped by a few different people from the two times we were there. Everyone educated us on the "C's" and we found it very informative. I'm a simple girl, so I knew I didn't want any halos or anything that looked too gaudy. I think I tried every setting that was similar to my taste until I found the one I really liked. The staff there was really patient and let me spend hours there looking at settings. I told my boyfriend (now fiance) that the setting, diamond, and band were everything that I wanted. I guess he talked to the sales girl after and actually bought the whole set the following Monday. He had to hide it for a few months before he proposed to me back in June of 2019 lol. Overall, I recommend Shane if you are looking for engagement/wedding bands. The reason I went with Shane was because of their warranty. Their warranty includes free maintenance/repair work, free resizing (just in case you gain/lose weight..esp when you get pregnant), free cleaning/polishing, free inspections, and they even replace the main center stone/diamond if you lose it (not if you try to pry it out of course). However, if you want to keep your lifetime warranty active, then you have to get your ring(s) cleaned/inspected every 6 months. Diamonds are so expensive, so just having the peace of mind that it's covered under a lifetime warranty is worth it. read more
