My now fiance(yay!) and I did things a little bit nontraditional. He proposed without the ring, so that we could go together to get one. We went to Shane Co. on New Year's Eve day to get the ring we were warmly greeted by everyone in the room, and congratulated as well. We ended up being helped by Derya. She helped show the ring and helped us pick out a center stone. She showed us two different options for the ring I wanted, one with diamonds along the side, and one with out. I initially chose the one with out. However, after he paid for the ring and we were about to leave, I decided that I really wanted the upgraded one with the diamonds (I know, I know, I was that person. haha) But they were very accommodating and upgraded the ring for me happily. We had to return that Friday to get ring, and again everyone greeted us, and even remembered us from our previous visit. I have bought several things from the Shane Company and have never left unhappy. Of course this was my favorite visit, and a lot of that was due to the fact that they were a part of our experience. It was a very exciting and important moment for us, and I just can't begin to explain how much it meant to have such so many friendly people be a part of that with us. I can not say enough about the level of service my wife and I received at this location and we will be life long customers. Our Shane Co. journey began back in September 2011. My wife bought me the heart shaped engagement ring I had always dreamed of. It was a special order. I was so surprised and loved the ring. We started planning our wedding in 2013 and while we did look at some other places for our bands, we were not impressed with the quality or the warranty offered at any of the stores we stopped by, so we drove back to Shane Co. to look again. In the end, I was not able to find a band to fit perfectly with my heart but my wife found her band and it was perfect. The sales rep who helped us that day was Shalane. She was not the first rep who had helped us look around while we were there, we had stopped by a few times through the years just looking and they had all been kind and helpful, but on this day, she really went out of her way to ask us questions and listen to our story. We had met online while my wife was in Iraq and I had moved from the south east to Ca and she really seemed to enjoy hearing about our love story. She took the time to get to know us and when we explained to her what my wife was wanting, something strong,not gold, something that would not get all scuffed up but also that looked like a wedding band, had at least one diamond and what made it so hard was my wife needed a size 6 ring and the men's bands do not come in a size 6. She said let me take a look in the back, I think I know exactly what you want and hopefully it is still back there. She came back out and we were overjoyed. It was perfect. We soon started stopping by every time we were out that way looking for jewelry for me to wear on my wedding day. We just seemed to be lucky and she was working almost every time we stopped by, so we would wait until she was free and let her help us. One day I found the perfect necklace and bracelet to match and she did encourage me to put a down payment since many of the pieces are the only one of its kind. Regretfully, I was not completely sure and didn't do it. So when we went back, it was gone and while there was one similar, the stone was smaller and the bracelet was gone. So, we had to continue looking. I found a pearl pendant with perfectly matching earrings that she had actually suggested for me after hearing what I wanted in an earring, and a tennis bracelet, again she encouraged me to put money down but these choices but the total of these three was nearly 3k more than the total of my first choices, so I declined. On the drive home my wife told me that if I really wanted them, we would go back the next weekend and put them on hold, not to wait months like I did last time and them be gone. So, we went back and this time Shalane was not there. We ended up being helped by Jordan and he was a God send. As before, the earrings I wanted were gone, we put the necklace and the tennis bracelet on layaway and I went home disappointed about my earrings. Heartbroken that I had not gone ahead and gotten them. Jordan was very empathetic and said he would try and find a pair at another location, as it was closing time...he said he would call me if he found them. Honestly since it was my first time having him help us, I wasn't feeling very hopeful, I kind of thought he would forget but I sure was wrong. He called me the next day and said he had found a pair at a different store and it was the last pair. He took my credit card info over the phone and had them shipped to the store. He saved the day. We were so thankful for the help and kindness that Shalane and Jordan had showed to us that we actually invited them to our wedding. It was at the Sir Francis Drake in SF, they were unable to attend but it just shows how fond we were of them. We even got cards in the mail congratulating us on our marriage. Talk about going above and beyond, the customer service at this location is second to none and we will continue to recommend them and Shane Co to all of our friends and family and acquaintances in the future. So I made my first trip this past Friday for a chance to get a quality ring . I called and spoke with the manager her name was Sarah. She was very helpful and willing to work within my budget. I went in to have my fiancee's engagement ring resize to a smaller size (for the 3rd time). The sales associate who helped me was named Derya and she was such a pleasure to work with. She showed me some styles of men's bands for me since I had no idea of what u wanted and she also showed me the band that would match with my fiancee's ring. My husband and I went to the Shane Co. to pick out my 30 year diamond anniversary band. We were greeted by Omar. We told him what we were looking for and he helped us pick out the perfect ring. I was a little sad that I had to wait a couple of days to pick it up. We left the store and spent a wonderful afternoon shopping and having lunch in Walnut Creek. While we we eating lunch my husband told me he didn't get his credit card back from the girl who rang up our purchase at Shane Co. We went back in and my husband looked for Omar who took us in the back. We waited a few minutes and he called us over. A girl had an envelope that I assumed had the credit card. She pulled out a piece of tissue paper and wrapped inside was my ring. I had gone to the restroom when my husband was paying and Omar had come up and told him that they could size it and surprise me that day! When my husband took the ring from the girl and put it in my finger it was so wonderful. Omar made turned a special event to one of the most amazing moments of my life. Recently I had to get a bangle bracelet as a anniversary gift for my DW at this location(1st time here but 2nd time buying from Shane). The one and only piece on the day of purchase has a huge flaw so we didn't want it so I wanted them to do a store transfer of another piece. After picking up the 2nd piece a week later and wore it for few days, another flaw was noticed. So I called them and explained the problem and they more than happy to transferred couple more pieces from another store for me to choose. On the 3rd visit, we finally choose the piece that was much better than the first two, but not "perfect". It still has minor imperfection but not enough to justify a refund(bracelet design is unique, not something I've seen on Amazon, and other jewelry stores). To someone who is not very meticulous, it could be overlooked. Overall, DW is satisfied with it. In summary, service at Shane was very good and staff always willing to accommodate, and they have wide selection of unique bracelets, not cookie cutter type from other jewerly stores. Only negative is the workmanship of the previous 2 bracelets, in my humble opinion, more quality control is needed so not to depend on your customer to find the flaws. read more

This review is way past overdue. Shane company called me out to do some work on their building and this was the first time ever being in their store. I was really surprised by the variations of settings and unique looks of their jewelry. As I don't need rings or earrings, I kept looking at their pendants. They had a few necklaces that kept jumping out at me, so I settled on a Tahitian pearl setting that I have never seen before. I decided to customize it by adding me and my wife's birthstone to it. It took a few days to be prepared andwhen I came back to pick it up, I was thoroughly impressed by how gorgeous it was. I gave this to my wife for Christmas and she was shocked at how gorgeous it was as well. She has worn this several times and every time she wears it she gets a lot of compliments. Thank you Shane Co. The store was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and the jeweler Who actually customized the pendant did an outstanding job. I LOVE Shane Co! But I have to admit something guys. I have been a selfish user of Yelp for literally YEARS. Consulting Yelp for every restaurant I go to, finding a wonderful and reputable bodyshop when we needed one, places to buy a bed, a rug, and everything else. But alas I have been selfish, and not contributed my fair share, when I could have written hundreds of reviews already. This place deserves the break of my silence and I will tell you the goods! My girlfriend and I were ready to start looking at engagement rings (woohoo!) and being that jewelry has been a particular obsession of mine for years, I had high expectations from the experience. I know my stuff and am not easily impressed by jewelry stores, especially not 'chain' stores. This place was so much better than I expected it to be!! My girlfriend and I were coming in because they have the best selection of loose, high quality sapphires in the wide range of colors that sapphires come in, which trust me, is really hard to find without going online. I knew we wanted to see and compare stones in person before we committed to making a ring with it and we were very particular about the color, size, and shapes each of us wanted for our rings. We've been working with Derya Keles from the first day we checked the store out, and she has been the BEST!! I feel like she is our personal jeweler now! It's awesome! They didn't have what we were looking for in the store at that time, but we found some settings we liked and gave Derya our email addresses. She kept in touch with us about getting stones transferred into the store for us to view, and we returned many times. She was really excited for us and really helpful and she was proactive about searching for what we were looking for. She gives honest feedback and loves gems and jewelry as much as I do, so I immediately felt at ease with her and trusted her with our perfect sapphire engagement ring hunt. We have since found the sapphires we were dreaming of (I haven't seen the final pick for my ring- it'll be a surprise!) and gorgeous,high quality settings. And the price! The price is outstanding! Trust me, the setting I picked in platinum, with very sparkly high quality diamonds would EASILY be 2 to 2.5 times as much even at the wholesale, Gem and Jewelry Mart/Gift Center in Sf type places. Trust me on that. After picking out my setting and falling in love with it, I checked these places and found stuff not even as nice, in white gold and not platinum for over twice as much. I was blown away and so so happy with our experience at Shane Co. I CAN'T WAIT to get my ring! I know it's going to be amazing, and I'm so happy with the price we are paying for such high quality stuff!! Seriously check them out, and try to work with Derya because she is wonderful! My husband purchased my ring from the Shane Co. located in Franklin, TN. After moving out to CA we had to find another Shane. Co. to keep up the maintenance on the engagement ring and also find a matching wedding band. We went in and felt more accosted rather than welcomed, we had a very pushy sales lady helping us. She let me and my husband try on a ring each and had us over to the cash wrap as if were had made a decision to purchase. It was so hasty that we decided not to purchase the band for him there at all. I needed to have my ring reset and some work done on it before our wedding so we left that ring there for maintenance. Unfortunately at that time they were unable to reset the ring so the diamond was still crooked and the rhodium job looked more like a quick polish with windex. Fast forward two years, we just so happened to be in the walnut creek area and decided to stop in since i had not been back to Shane Co. in two years. I literally jumped from the car with my head down, i ran inside hoping to pass by all the sales ppl and get back to the care dept. I was stopped dead in my tracks as a lady asked me how she could help me. I quickly responded with just getting it cleaned...where again i tried to head to the back. After a brief discussion on the hasty sales pitch from the time before and the disappointment i faced when trying to have the ring reset, Sarah let me in on a few things about this location, she was the new manager and they also had some new jewelers there too. She was lovely to work with and really helped to restore my faith in the establishment. I left my ring there and she promised that it would be the ring of my dreams after her and the new team were finished with it. SARAH - you were right! It looks amazing no more crooked diamond, no more ring not matching the band. The rhodium job and the resetting of the diamond made it look perfect! I LOVE IT! Thanks Sarah! We decided to visit this store to shop for a Diamond Ring for my wife. The excitement and anticipation surrounding this moment quickly faded into utter disappointment at this store. After walking into the store, no one made an attempt to assist us. To be fair, the store was quite busy. We were eventually greeted by a young salesman who said he would be right with us. In actuality, he was already working with someone else, so we had to wait. My wife already had an idea of the type of ring that she wanted, but since the rings are "Scattered" about in various showcases it took our salesperson quite a while to gather a few rings for us to look at. At one point he left and disappeared for at least 10-15 minutes. When I took a look around the store, I could see him speaking with another customer and he came back empty handed. This is absolutely unacceptable and very disrespectful to us. When he came back, I told him how we felt and decided to leave. He offered to give us his undivided attention, but we should have had that from the moment he started helping us. I work in customer service and our experience would have been a better one had our salesperson actually known what he was doing and paid better attention to what my wife wanted. read more

Poorest service I ever had. I came back here because I've purchase my wedding bands here 7 years ago but when I came in today, it will be the last. Walked in wife my wife and kids looking for a new band and I was greeted kindly by a man name Lee. Because we decided to look around he decided to help another couple which I do not blame him. The employees had time to stand around and joke with each other for quite a while. As 1 was walking by, he tried to pass us off back to Lee but he was with another customer so he got a band and left it there in front of us and went back to talk to his employees while we wanted to see a couple more I've waited another 5 minutes as the guy saw me from across the room saw me looking for help, made eye contact then left the room. I've just waited for the next person to walk by, and gave their band back. This place is a joke! Do not shop here unless you feel like being ignored. I would give them 50 stars if I could. My husband, our dog and I came in looking to upgrade my ring for our anniversary. From the second we walked in we received excellent service. I had something in mind and they helped me to find the ring of my dreams. They listened to what I wanted and ever so patiently switched the diamonds in the sample setting over and over as I had a hard time deciding. Once I decided, they were able to have the diamond set in less than 2 hours so that we didn't have to drive back another day. When we came back to pick up EVERYONE knew the 3 of us by name! The diamond mount was a little thicker than I imagined it would be and while I could live with it, I didn't love that... The manager Jess took my ring to the jewelers in the back and had them shave it down a bit, without comprising the security of the diamond and it was perfect! We were there past store closing and no one seemed bothered by that. I now have the most amazing ring that I LOVE! The Shane Co in Walnut Creek far exceeded our expectations!!!! read more

I know sometimes its frustrating being stuck with just one customer for a long time but this guy never made me feel rushed! He is an efficient worker too! He walked away several times too when i couldn't make a decision to check on other customers and i dont know what else i just know that it was nice to have some time to think and consult with my fiance in private but he wouldn't be gone for too long because he'd always be back perfect timing like he knew when it was ok to come back. They offer you water while youre there. They also cleaned my engagement ring for free which we didn't even buy there and they knew that because i told them. My ring never looked better! i simply love shane co! my now husband bought my engagement ring here and it is simply beautiful, we also bought his wedding band here and we are happy with both of them. we made a HUGE mistake of going to KAY'S JEWELERS to get an engagement ring enhancer. it was just a total mess, they made us pay for a "lifetime warranty" which is 84 dollars, and totally ripped us off on the price (we checked online and the same exact one was 200 cheaper online) and they made it seem like they lowered down the price to make us feel like we're getting a good deal. and if any of you think 7 days at shane co. is bad, kay's jewelers made us wait 12 days! and they messed up (my engagement ring didn't fit in the just-sized enhancer) so they wanna take the ring again and redo it so we had to wait another 12 days? BS! we're returning what we got from kay's jewelers and getting one from shane co. (i already saw what i want which is so much better than the one we got from kay's, from the diamonds to the price) you got a customer for life shane co... i highly recommend shane co to everyone... read more
