Tried ShareTea for the 1st time in Valley Fair Mall, liked their classic oolong tea with boba so for convenience, I thought I'll give this location a try. Ordered the classic black tea with pearls at 80% sweetness & regular ice. It was on the bitter side with a little bit acidity even for someone like me who enjoy really strong teas. But I can imagine this strong of a brew works well if you get the classic milk tea instead. And pearls was a little too hard. At $5 for a basic drink, I expect more value for my moolah. read more

The only con I have about this place is their customer service. Some of the girl employees display a bit of an attitude at times, which is unprofessional. The drinks themselves are really good. This is actually my favorite place to get a regular black milk tea. At other boba places, their milk teas are either super sweet or watered down. I've been to a few different Sharetea as well as this location quite a few times, and usually I'd say Sharetea is a good option for pearl milk tea. A lot of my friends enjoy the Okinawa milk tea, which is their version of brown sugar milk tea. What I really enjoy getting at Sharetea is their ginger milk tea, because I'm a big fan of ginger, and the flavor really comes through. It's probably too strong for most people, but it's my go to drink here. This time the drink itself was what I expected, but the pearls were a huge letdown. The general consensus among my friends was that the pearls were undercooked, so they were too firm, and they seemed to be lacking any sort of flavor. Pretty much ruining the drink for me, but I know Sharetea can do better. This rating is mostly for this specific experience, but next time I come back, I'll be sure to update! read more

Been here a few times and one thing that I can automatically say is that they're just way too inconsistent with their taste. Each time I've gone I would have a different experience as it can go either way - really good or really bad. Today, my experience just out of wack, which got me to finalize how I wanted to review them on. Because I had already mentioned that I'm very on/off about Sharetea, I will just talk about why today was just plain bizarre. I came in with my boyfriend and I order for us, we got a oolong milk tea with egg pudding for myself and a tarp milk tea with lychee for him. Then he also ordered a taro milk tea with lychee for his brother (separately)... Okay so I thought my drink was just okay, I've had it better before, but nonetheless i did still enjoy it. My BF enjoyed his and I liked it too! Well as we gave his brother his, he had a disgusted face reacting to his drink and express, "ew guys that's nasty!!" And my BF and I were like wth? It's good!! What are you talking about? And so my BF and I both tried his drink and he was right, it tasted nothing like my bf's. Like it tasted like completely watered down taro with a weird aftertaste!! And it was still newly bought too. We also ordered normal sweetness and normal ice for all of them. It's just so weird how they came out way different esp when we ordered the exact same thing and at the same time!! Idk just because I don't wanna take a gamble each time I visit Sharetea, I think this may be the last time I come unless someone I'm with just really really wants to go. Whenever I go here, I always get the black tea with ice cream. The scoop of ice cream makes it creamy and sweet. The tea has a strong flavor to it. Their boba pearls are also pretty sweet and chewy too. However, customer service isn't that great and parking can be hard to find. read more

Since this one has became my fav boba place along with Gongcha so i decided to write a review about it. I heard about this place when it only has one store in sf.When i knew it comes to san jose, i was so excited. The first time I came, they had bogo to celebrate their grand opening and the line was ridiculous insane hella long. My boyfriend told me to go to Gongcha instead so we didnt have to wait but i ignored him since I was waiting for a month to try it. They have the small menu so it wasnt hard to decide what I want. We both ordered the high mountain creama tea and that was delicious. You can either drink the creama by itself or mix it with a tea. I love both. I personally like to go with 30% sweetness and less ice so you still can taste the tea without feeling sugar overload. It's definitely worth the wait for 15 mins to get the order and 45 mins wait. Im more than satisfied. The second time, I ordered oolong milk tea with egg pudding and herb jelly. It was ok, nothing special about it. The service is really quick and the staffs are friendly. I told tje girl to keep a change and she asked her co worker if she should leave it in the cash tray or put it in the tips jaw. read more

Not as good as the San Mateo location but I would recommend Okinawa (brown sugar) milk tea. You can custom your sweetness and ice which is nice. Located in the plaza with Venus, Gen and other food spots so always good to stop by here for milk tea after a meal. read more

Honestly, how different are boba places really? I tried the black tea with cream and it tasted yummy.. just like I've had it other places. This place has a ton of selections and is really cozy. It doesn't feel dirty and run down like some other boba places (Tap-x). Will be back here regularly as my work is close by. read more

Share tea definitely updated their menu when I recently visited. My favorite drinks are winter melon tea and matcha milk tea. I would say their winter melon might be better than gong cha's. Their matcha milk tea was perfect, it was not too sweet and satisfying to my taste. Even my boyfriend liked the drink and he's one of the pickiest when it comes to about everything. read more

Do NOT be discouraged from the long line out the door, all the time. The counter is close to the front door ... there is a line but it goes by really quickly. You always get your drinks fairly quickly. Their drinks can be a little bit on the sweeter side but luckily they allow you to adjust the sweetness and ice levels! read more

I looove Sharetea! I've been to 3 other bay area locations (Berkeley, San Mateo, and Berkeley) and for the most part, they have been pretty consistent across these 3 locations. The drinks at this location were unfortunately not very enjoyable. Drinks here are wayy too sweet. I ordered my drink at 30% sweetness and comparing from my previous experiences at the other Sharetea locations, it tasted like it was 75% or 100%. I ordered the Kiwi Fruit Tea with Ice Jelly. I've had this drink numerous times before at the Sharetea SF and Sharetea Berkeley locations and this drink at 30% was always light and refreshing. The drink I had at this location was loaded with sugar and made me extremely thirsty (they should probably go easy on the syrups). They also mistakenly gave me Agar Boba instead of the Ice Jelly which made me really sad. The ice jelly is supposed to be a soft clear jelly (with similar texture to grass jelly), but I got crunchy clear ovals. The agar boba tasted like it was doused in sugar, so that just added even more unwanted sweetness : ( My sister had the Mango Green Milk Tea at 30% sweetness and said it was also way too sweet and much sweeter than the same drink at the Sharetea Berkeley location. I do understand that this location just opened, so perhaps they haven't had the chance to work out all of the kinks yet, but 2 out of 2 drinks were overly sugary... Not sure if I'll come back to this location any time soon, but if I do, hopefully I'll provide a more positive update. On a positive note, the service was great - the people were very friendly and we did not wait too long for our drinks! read more

I'm quite a fan of Sharetea. This location seems to have opened fairly recently. They have some items in front to try out, and I love their okinawa and hokkaido milk teas, although I prefer the okinawa since the toffee flavor of the hokkaido seemed a bit much. The location is in a pretty nice area next to the ranch99 plaza, and has some outdoor seating. It's fairly cramped indoors though, and there was a line out the door when I visited! read more

I really love Sharetea because of its taste, and especially the boba here. They make it so chewy!!! However, the reason I give this place 3 stars is because of waiting time. 30 minutes for a drink? I think that just wastes too many times. Even thought the store has 4 people to make the drink but it seems not enough. They make it so slow!!! I should've listened to the previous reviews. This share tea is not like the other two locations (San mateo and Richmond, San Francisco). I'm not sure if they're a legitimate franchise. I ordered my normal favorite the handmade taro milk tea.. but they watered it down A LOT and added A TON of ice in. I asked for less ice but they rejected my request. extremely shady. Best hot taro milk tea out of all the places I've been too so far. The cashier was nice and friendly which was probably why my friend tryed to hit on her. This place has the worst customer service ever I don't understand why it takes 20 minutes to get a milk tea and when I tell them that I checked in for the free topping they won't give it to me because supposedly they can't write it down on the paper what kind of bullshit is that you either give it to your customers or not. This is my second time here I came back to give them another chance since it is a new place but the people they hire are truly incompetent. The first time I came here the girl who helped me out didn't even ask for the ice or sweet level so my drink came out too sweet. I'd been to a Sharetea in San Mateo, I think. So I'm excited that this location is so close. I didn't get their famous creama though. I tried their passion fruit with yakult drink with boba. I only recently discovered yakult - I know, I'm a weird Asian. But I really like it and I really like passion fruit so I decided to try it. It was cool. But you need to shake it occasionally or drink it quickly because the yakult will separate a little from the tea or juice or whatever the passion fruit flavored portion of it is. When it was mixed properly, it tasted great - a little flavor from both the yakult and passion fruit. The boba was chewy and fine. Located in a semi- empty and small shopping center. I originally turned into the adjacent and bigger Ranch 99 shopping plaza thinking it was in there but nope, it's next door. And there were other businesses around but this seemed like the most popping. Haha. Will be back for more boba - creama text time. read more
