I have tried Share Tea up in SF and had good experience but this one here is just bad. I understand that they are busy but when I was told by the cashier that it's going to be an hour wait, I walked right out. What I observed was that there were at least 6 employees working, and I saw that they just take orders and stack them next to the cash register. It just seems like they are lacking a good ordering system. I have been to other milk tea places before at a much busier time but it was never too long. I came here for the first time, and I was shocked when the cashier told me the waiting time is 40 minutes. Are you kidding me? What were those worker doing out there? There were 10 of them talking and chatting. Alot of people left because they didn't want to wait for that long. Really bad service. I do recommend the place IN union city ( faster and better). Although there usually is a line and the wait is longer than other places, i still come here because i really like their green milk tea and their black milk tea. They are both reliable whenever i go. Finally Sharetea has arrived in san jose... i was wondering how long it would take for them to open one up. Much similar to San Francisco's and San Mateo's, the drinks here are awwweesome. I love the creamas.... probably mango tea creama the most. Right now it is $2 for all drinks but beware there will be like a 30 minute wait because they're still in training. Mmmmm Share freaking tea. They have awesome drinks such as the salted creamas. They are my favorite as well as the fruit drinks. This is my second time at Sharetea and my first at this location. My first time was at the San Francisco location and I got the Okinawa (I think that's what it's called?) milk tea. It was very milky, which didn't sit well with me since I like my milk tea more tea flavored. I decided to give Sharetea a second chance and was in the area so we decided to stop by this Sharetea. You have an option to customize the ice level and sweetness level and there are a variety of toppings for an additional $0.50. I ordered an Oolong tea creama with normal ice and 80% sweetness. It was good but there was a weird grainy texture to it. I don't know, maybe Sharetea just isn't for me. At the price for a cup, I don't think I will be experimenting anymore. read more

For the most part I usually order their creamas and they are really good with mini pearls. Sometimes they get busy but are still efficient in getting drinks pumped out, but occasionally you will have to wait for the boba to be made if you show up around the time they open. If I were the owner I would knock down the wall of what used to be barcode next door and expand the place bigger with cozy interior and seats. Now my go to place for milk tea. I usually choose drinks off their top 10 list and my favorite drink for now is the matcha milk tea with red bean, I sometimes substitute the red bean for pearls and get 100% sweetness and 100% ice. Pearls are soft and chewy and even overnight, they still taste ok. Sign up for their fivestar rewards and get a free drink eventually. Only bad thing about this place is the parking lot is small. But then I had the regular Milk Green Tea with boba yesterday, which I really liked. Boba is decent. I also tried the Okinawa milk tea, which I hear is one of their most popular drinks -- it has a very unique sweet taste. My brown sugar milk tea was really good, but it literally took 20 minutes for my tea and the place is small and busy which makes it a tough place for friends to hang out. If you are not in a hurry, Sharetea would be an awesome stop if you are looking for a good milk tea and a boba fix. They make each drink by hand with fresh ingredients, the staff is friendly and helpful if it is your first time pointing out new and popular items to help your decision making. Regulars seem like the know what they want and rifle off orders like a boss, but on the night I was visiting, few looked like they were sticking around for a while. Personally, I like tea places where you can linger for a while, but then again, good tea is half the equation. I came here on a weekday when i was the only one in line. Perfect oolong creama with 80% sugar and no ice. The cream floated nicely on top Came here on a weekend when i was in line for half hour. They got my order wrong twice. I wanted the same oolong creama 80% no ice. I ended up with a milk oolong tea that they kept explaining was the crema. They told me without the ice the cream mixes. I never heard that one. From SF to Fremont to san mateo, i always get the crema with no ice. It always floats on top. The person mixed it, dont blame the drink. I asked for one with creama floating on top with ice since they insisted. When i got it, it was this watered down something that was not tea and had no sugar. Tossed it out and called my money wasted. Get your drinks right. People pay extra for the cream on top, and correct your order if u didnt get it right. Dont punish your customers when they just want what they ordered! read more

I've been to this place a couple of times. The first time I came here was when they kind of just opened. The wait to get my drink the first time was almost 2 hours!!! It was RIDICULOUS. I got a hokkaido milk tea and something else, totally forgot. But I didn't even really like the drinks. The second time I went I got something off of their Top Favorites list and honestly did NOT like it.. Haha, I gave this place another try since I was desperate for boba.. Came here on Thursday night and there were a whole bunch of people. I never know what to get from here but my friend told me to try a Wintermelon milk tea. I ended up getting that, (Wintermelon Fresh milktea). I thought it was really good and different from the milk teas I've ever had! I really liked it! I came twice, once during the soft opening and once on their grand opening. I have had the sea foam/cream (w/e they call ya know what I'm talking about) with green tea and boba, the green tea with fresh milk and boba, and the mango green tea with boba. For the sea foam green tea, it was good! It was very refreshing however gong Cha is still my fav place for that type of drink. For the green tea w/ fresh milk, it was good, but nothing crazy. Refreshing, light, with a good tea taste. The mango green tea is probably the best I've ever had just b/c of the fact they use real mango purée. If you don't adjust your sweetness level, I think all these drinks are on the sweet side. I would have adjusted my sweetness but the workers don't ask you for the sweetness level like at gong cha, at least in my experiences they haven't. The boba is really chewy and consistent which is a plus! For the service, It was okay.... The Same guy rang me up the two times I've been here, he interprets orders kind of slow and he gets confused really easily which is kind of annoying but not a big deal. All the other workers are typical boba baristas, smile when they hand you your drink, apologize for the long wait, all that good stuff!!! The BIGGEST downside is the wait. The first time I came I waited 20 minutes and there wasn't many other customers. The second time, I waited an hour but that's understandable because it was their grand opening and they were having bogo free. Knowing the wait is so long makes me hesitant on returning however I know these are new workers so I will probably return in a couple months to see if the wait-time improved. read more

Waited 10 minutes in line so thought I got lucky, it took another 45 minutes for a staff of 6 to make the 2 drinks I ordered! So not worth it, but why do I come back because I'm an official milk tea addict and it's close by to my house. Went back again and there was no line but it took 20 minutes for them to make 2 drinks. 3 stars is fair for their terrible service. My favorite is the kiwi lemon with some special jelly. Wouldn't recommend unless you place your order and go grocery shopping at ranch 99 or eat in the same plaza and come back to pick up your order. read more

I have been to share tea in Berkeley many times and I always order the winter melon tea because it's really sweet and refreshing. When I came to the one in San Jose I ordered it and it tasted like green tea, not wintermelon tea infused with green tea, just plain green tea. I brought it back in to ask why and I was just told that it's mostly green tea sweetened with wintermelon and that you should taste the green tea. I was also told, for future reference, order it less sweet. I don't want a less sweet wintermelon tea. I just wanted wintermelon tea and not green tea. I understand that different stores make drinks different but this time around that wasn't the case. The green tea that I got tasted okay but it still wasn't what I wanted. When someone's orders a soda they expect soda and not water. Besides that, it's pretty clean and small inside. There is also very little parking. On the bright side, their employees are really nice and are quick. 1 star for an okay drink although it was the wrong one. 1 star for a nice store. 1 star for being polite and fast. read more

People are wrong about the wait time not being up to an hour anymore. I arrived at 12:50, and was brought to a mediocre line with 5-7 people. People do not mind waiting in line to order their drink, but it when it comes to waiting to receive their drink, that is a different issue. Even if my drink is good, I will be coming back. My receipt says my order was completed at 1:04, it is currently 1:25, and 2 people in front of me have not received their drink. This is ridiculous. read more
