ShareTea has earned its place as one of my go-to spots for boba in the Bay Area. It's essentially my Starbucks and it has yet to disappoint. While this location offered the same menu, it also served drinks in hipster light bulbs and bottles with color-changing butterfly pea flowers (whatever that fanciness even means...). Miscommunication led me to receive a mango milk tea instead of a mango fruit green tea, but it was really tasty and I was happy for the accident. Sometimes the best things happen unintentionally. It also helped that this boba was free (thanks to a wager at the shooting range) and was enjoyed in one of those light bulbs. The unfortunate part? The bulb was plastic instead of glass like I had expected and cost nearly $6 for an amount that felt significantly less than a regular cup. I actually give this particular location 3.5 stars due to the environment (felt a little disheveled) and the overly-priced novelty bottle. read more

I was introduced to their peach blended ice and let me tell you, for a person that doesn't really like her drink over sweet, I somehow was addicted to this given that everything it in sound so sweet. It has ice cream, lychee jelly, and blended peach sorbet? on the top. You can customized sweetness level of the peach sorbet and I recommend getting half or zero as jelly and ice cream will give it that sweetness already. It is so good! (Esp when the ice cream melts and it creates a shake) They also make this in mango flavor! I've had their bobas and specialty drinks on separate occasion and it was normal. Sharetea offers one sized 22oz cup so a cup of that is pretty filling! I like to indulge in a little sweetness once in a while. Averages $5-6 per drink. They practice social distancing and only allow a limited amount of customers in store. Props to them also in getting large order out in a timely manner. read more

The seating area is normally clean, the drinks are always ordered and served up quick, and this is one boba shop where the boba/pearls are CONSISTENTLY good. Many other places they are often too hard, frozen, mushy, taste weird, etc. but this location is always the best! They of course have a rewards program to earn free toppings and drinks after you order a certain amount of items, and they use your phone number instead of physical cards which is nice too. As with other ShareTeas, the large boba has a nice sweet flavor and just the right amount of "qq". I'm also a fan of their grass jelly and egg pudding and will sometimes order all three with a milk tea ("3 brothers drink!"). Their honey green tea, ginger milk tea, and matcha red bean milk tea have been my perennial favorites. Usually 0% (when the drink has milk) or 30% (if the drink has no milk) sugar suffices. I've been tempted to try the boba drinks that are blended with ice cream--the Oreo one looks seriously amazing. My sister swears by their taro-based drinks. I've been to this location twice. First visit gave me such bad service I'm pretty sure I ripped up the stamp card with 3 stamps. Long story short, the teenage girl gave such bad attitude about pearls missing from my drink and assumed I was only ordering one item. The guy making the drinks was more patient at least. Fast forward to today when I promised my sis & cousins we'd make a pit stop for some boba from my favorite brand. Rainy Black Friday night with no one in line, Vic greeted us cheerfully and made sure to give a farewell to departing customers. This employee was extremely accommodating, informative, and easy to talk to. Total positivity! Apparently, the honey milk tea has sweetness adjustments here whereas other locations only offer less honey. I asked about the QQ Happy Family MT and made sure it had no aloe vera (black milk tea with a combo of small/large pearls, herb jelly, lychee jelly, pudding, and red bean). I asked for no red beans but asked about Aiyu jelly since I'd never tried it before. Vic explained it's a cross between jelly and pudding with a light citrus flavor. I asked if I could add it on and Vic suggested I substitute it for the red beans. Awesome! At least I didn't have to pay extra. I got a piece of Aiyu jelly on my first sip! I could definitely differentiate it from the other toppings, jelly/pudding texture. 80% sweet is just right and by the bottom of the cup, it's diluted. I'm so ordering this again! Other drinks I ordered: *Honey MT *2 Mango Passionfruit GT 100% sweet & 0% *Mango GMT *Iced GT 0% sweet (drink was only sweetened by honey boba) *Classic pearl GMT Sugar levels were entered accurately and Vic asked me to confirm the order on the screen. NOTE:: For those who follow GPS the directions will take you to a different location in the outdoor plaza so you have to drive around and look for it which is unfortunate Walking in this place has quite a few tables for their customers with 3-4 tables that can seat 4-6 people and a few tables that can seat 2-3 people. The place is a little dirty where you can see trash on the floor and in some areas a little sticky (your shoe will make a weird sound). I would also say that tables (or at least my table) that I sat at was sticky too. This place has a lot of decorations where it has cool bubble tea decorations of milk tea, fruit teas, and hot teas. This place has variety of bubble tea drinks that can either be hot or cold, but they do not offer food. When I came in, the person taking the orders did not seem very knowledgable in how the business works and was pretty slow in taking orders which in the end caused a big long line. Just like any bubble tea place, you can change how much ice you want and how much sugar you want. The female cashier with round glasses was extremely rude. There was no need to be passive aggressive towards your coworker in front of customers. If you wanted to make customers aware that the store is closed, you could have easily closed the door yourself. Then address the customers that the store is closed and apologize for the inconvenience. No one would've argued with you and left the premises respectfully. You shouldn't have that behavior in general. We attempted to make the situation less awkward by clarifying the closing time then move the conversation towards a positive direction. We received more passive aggressiveness. We understand that the closing time was 9PM after confirming with her. We did mention that the Yelp said 10PM as well as the physical store front. We recommend crossing out the old store hours on the actual windows and highlight the updated store hours listed on the sheet of paper. If we were in her shoes at our workplaces, we would've been placed under review and sent to mandatory customer service remediation. We understand people have long days but that makes no excuse to be rude. If you have to ask someone if you were being rude, you most likely were. P.S. Drinks were great! Sharetea was my go-to until iTea opened. I usually get the oolong milk tea (not roasted). The first few times, the milk tea was good and had a stronger tea flavor but now it's more milky. Pearl texture is inconsistent too; they're a lot softer now. They have a lot of teenagers working there (just like any other boba shop), but these workers stand around watching Netflix. I have heard great things about Sharetea but never got around to one until they opened one up less than 5 minutes away from me. Since they are still new, I anticipated a little longer than normal wait time because of this. However, both times I have been, with the exception of a glitch in printing the receipt that caused a line to form behind us, the wait was not too bad and they were very apologetic for the wait. So far the workers we have encountered are very friendly and welcoming which is a big plus and the drink selection has a nice variety with fresh milk and cremas. Most drinks allow you to choose your desired level of sweetness and ice but there are some that only comes with normal levels like the handmade taro fresh milk. The mango green tea crema and handmade taro fresh milk were both tasty but I just have to remember to stick with the non-caffeinated ones after 8 if I want to sleep. Finally got to try this Sharetea on the last day of 2015 and last check-in as well. It was pretty busy and after we ordered our drinks. We only waited around 5 minutes and our order was done. I was surprised on how fast they make the drinks. They line just kept on moving which is how it should be. The staff greet you when you enter and are polite. This Sharetea is closer to home so I have a spot to get my fix. At the moment they're using stamp cards. So don't forget to ask for one when you purchase your drinks. The Boba Gods have answered all our prayers and have graced the Manor area with a Sharetea location. Gone are the days of making the trip to Union City to get our cravings fulfilled! This is definitely going to be a boba poppin' area and highlight of the Manor/Greenhouse and I can definitely predict my friends and myself becoming Sharetea San Leandro regulars! Note: This location has not officially opened, but will have a soft opening beginning on October 15th, 2015. I was able to come and visit for a special pre-opening event for this location before its set opening and will re-review accordingly after it has officially opened. This review is simply to set the stage and to let other yelpers and fellow visitors get some info about the atmosphere, vibe, parking and staff. Give you the 4-1-1, ya hear? :) First off, this location is extremely aesthetically pleasing. Honestly, after I was in there a while I didn't even remember I was in the Greenhouse. It felt very modern with wooden tables and a wall with a silhouette of different buildings and monuments with little pins of different countries or cities you can find Shareteas! It's aesthetic and a lesson on Sharetea, Hahaha! Not too sure if they're going to have board games like the Union City location, but it's still a great spot to hangout at with friends or grab a drink for yourself. I came here for a pre-opening event, but nonetheless the positive vibes were definitely flowing. The staff were all super sweet as well and accommodating. Welcome to answer any questions and never made me or my mom (who doesn't even really know what boba is) feel dumb. So that's a definite plus! A+ effort and A+ customer service skills :) I haven't tried all their drinks and can't say much for them beyond the milk teas for Sharetea locations in general. But I can tell you that I really enjoyed my drinks and so did my mom. We got the iced blended drinks with ice cream and thought they were very flavorful and refreshing. If you don't like it too sweet, one should note that ice cream is sweet so you might want to lower the sweetness level to at least 80% if you don't like it super sweet! Parking shouldn't be a problem since the center of the Greenhouse Shopping Center is a parking lot within itself. Hahaha, the only thing is you may or may not be close to the boba shop. But hey, you'd be burning a few calories before getting your boba on so that's always awesome! Thank goodness that this exists in San Leandro! Growing up, we're so used to the basic boba places like Quickly or TapEx, where the quality is not so great. Now that Sharetea is here, I can say that this is probably my favorite boba spot in town. Conveniently hosted next to a dim sum restaurant, you'll be sure to find this hole-in-the-wall simply from the number of Asians standing outside in line for next door. With a one-size cup, everything here is priced a bit higher than the usual chain. However, there's a good reason why, and that is the quality of the drinks.The boba here was not rubbery or chewy, and actually had some flavor to them. My passionfruit/mango tea with boba had actual fruit inside, and was incredibly refreshing. They avoid the powder stuff here folks. I also really liked the decor inside. Plenty of nods to the skyscrapers and landmarks of the world. As a fan of traveling myself, it was cool to see them deck out the interior with reminders that another adventure awaits. There are tons of boba places around my neighborhood, but I am pretty picky when it comes to ordering a special sweet drink as I am mostly a water drinker who reserves boba for special "treat yourself" days. We first tried this place around the time of my sister's birthday and immediately tasted the quality. You can order ahead of time, but we found that their phone was busy. There is only one size drink cup and then you decide how much ice and how much sweetness you want. I like this feature as people like their drinks certain ways. Within the week of her birthday she got to get a drink for free if one was purchased. Service is decent and it wasn't too long of a wait. A modern-looking Sharetea is sittin' mighty pretty between a ghetto laundromat and Delight Garden. Both times I came here I was greeted kindly by this hella cute bubbly girl with braces. I have been wanting to try Sharetea for some time, and when i found out they opened one by my house I couldn't stop coming here. I would say since they opened, I have been here at least 6x or more with my family or with friends. I would have to say they are pretty consistent. So far I have tried: QQ happy family, taro milk tea, fresh taro milk, ginger milk tea, matcha milk tea with red bean, and passion fruit green tea with lychee jelly. I always get 80% sweetness and 30% ice. Out of all the drinks I have tried, my favorite would be QQ happy family and fresh taro milk. QQ happy family is all the toppings in the classic milk tea. I love it because sometimes I would debating what topping I want inside of my milk tea without cost too much. With this drink, it was perfect. I think it's right amount of topping but could use a little bit more per my preference. Fresh taro milk is fresh taro and milk blend with ice. You can't adjust the ice level but the sweetness level. It tasted refreshing and you can taste the chunk of taro. it almost reminded me of the Chinese dessert: taro tapioca with coconut milk. Yummm. Service is pretty fast. They handle the long line pretty well and you don't have to wait forever to get your drink like some places. I think they are used to the crowd now. Great work. read more

I know their drinks are great but during my recent experience I paid close attention to the cashier and his hygiene which is especially important given our current situation with covid-19. I will not be going to this location anymore after what I saw: - Handles cash from customer and goes straight to touching another customer's cup then to using the same rag to wipe down other customer's drinks all around WITHOUT washing his hands or sanitizing after handling potentially-contaminated money! And who knows when was the last time that rag used to wipe down drinks was last washed RED FLAG! I'm a healthcare professional who always washes or sanitize my hands BEFORE and AFTER each patient to prevent the transmission of pathogens. For some reason, I never crave sharetea but when I do get it, it tastes pretty good. You could never go wrong with the boba milk tea and matcha milk tea. On a hot day, I love the mango tea (has pulp in it if you like that) and the strawberry black tea (can't adjust sweetness on this one). I gave it a 3 because of this location. I came in not knowing that someone was waiting to be helped (their social distancing floor markings were confusing). Severely understaffed for a weekday afternoon/evening. There were 2 guys behind the counter, taking orders and making drinks. Ahead of me were several large orders. Just getting through the line took at least 20 minutes. Then, the waiting went on and on. When I finally got my two drinks, I spilled some on the sleeve of my new shirt. I was annoyed and went back to grab some napkins. I carefully placed the drinks in the cup holder, even placing napkins where I thought the leak was coming from. The seal was bad. I supposed they were in a rush and didn't take care to make sure the edge was dry before attempting to heat-seal. Long story short...the compartment adjacent to the cup holder was filled with milk tea after the short drive. That was a rude discovery the next morning. I love Sharetea and I'm so glad they opened one up in San Leandro! This location is inside of the greenhouse plaza next to the laundromat. There's ample parking so you don't need to worry about that. There are about 8-9 tables where you can hang or study. Probably not a good spot to study if you can only study in quiet areas. It can get pretty loud when there are lots of people hanging out. I'm not sure if there are wall outlets. The service is usually pretty good and everyone is nice. Sometimes they get really backed up (not their fault) and it takes a while for them to make drinks. It's worth the wait though! I always forget my stamp card and they always give me a new one. Today I finally brought them all to consolidate them but they said I can only consolidate two at a time. That's fine cause I already know I'll be back. XD I usually order a regular black milk tea + boba or okinwawa milk tea. Both are really good! The boba is always cooked perfectly too. It's been a while since we came to Sharetea. Upon arrival, we were greeted by one of the workers. She was very sweet and kind and also had a smile on throughout taking our order. They got our drinks out pretty quick. It honestly tastes sooo much better than how it did a while back when we came. I'm trying to get my drinks less sweet now than how I use to drink it, since I'm not trying to intake so much sweetness. Even with less sweetness, the drink was still pretty sweet. This gives me a chance to know how much more lower in sugar I need to go, so that's good. I will go lighter on the sweetness next time, but overall it was an amazing experience coming back. They have a stamp card and this location is in the middle of a popular shopping center so I'm sure they get a lot of foot traffic. read more

I love Sharetea and I'm so happy that one opened close to my home. Personally, I enjoy their milk teas and fruit teas more than anything else. I would avoid their ice blended drinks in general. Halfway into it, it turns into a slushy and loses all of its flavor. Drinks I recommend: Ice Cream Black Tea Matcha Milk Tea Oolong Crema Winter Melon (get this 50% sweet or less!) Whole Lemon Black Tea They always seem to have a lot of new drinks and specialty drinks like light bulb bubble milk teas, but don't trust it! It's a gimmick! Came into this place and the music is deafening loud. I asked the cashier to lower the volume and he then asks this other woman and she straight up shrugs and I ask her again and clarify if she's saying no ?! Then she rolls her eyes and says I can try and continues on her way and basically ignores me. Very rude staff here. I can't wait until Happy Lemon opens up and takes this place down and this place closes shop. I now have permanent damage to my ears from the volume. I included a photo of the rude chick that didn't give two chits. I then asked the cashier what her name was and he lies and tells me he doesn't know her name and that it's his first day on the job. Really ? Lies on top of lies. This place is horrible. I can't wait until they close shop. Corporate will definitely be hearing about this. Ordered the peach tea and it's nothing but syrup and artificial flavors. Nasty! read more
