Pros - Decent prices, and delicious lemon chicken dinner. The two sides I chose were baked potato and seasoned vegetables . Very juicy and well seasoned chicken breast, accompanied with plentiful, perfectly cooked broccoli & baked potato with butter and sour cream and a couple dinner rolls. Everything tastes top notch and the cooks are doing their best work. Also, note that the food was packaged well with everything that I would need. Plenty of parking and just off the highway in Meridian. I hear the pies are wonderful here, but I did not choose to get dessert this evening. . Cons - Okay, buckle up! This was 3/18/2026, 8:00pm. I tried to pull their menu up online, but the only way to see their menu was to place an online order. When I chose that option, the screen said that this location was not accepting orders at this time, so now there was no way to see the menu. What a dumb system. I decided to call the restaurant directly. The phone was answered, but I was immediately told to wait as they set the phone down, and I could still hear the restaurant. They never spoke to me again. I was driving to the restaurant, so I kept the line open just to see how long it would take. 14 minutes later, I parked and walked inside to see the restaurant not very busy, one girl up at the host stand, and their phone sitting on the counter. I immediately asked for the manager. When she came to the host stand, I showed her the timer on my phone, and the open line still connected to their phone. Of course, I was livid, and I raised my voice, but I did not yell, and I did not curse, nor did not talk over her. I expressed how upset I was that the phone line was left open, and I was ignored. Words were exchanged! The manager shook her finger at me, and I told her that she had an attitude and she still had failed to make an apology. She walked away from me, and started to correct the server who had taken my call. After a few minutes, I had to call loudly to the manager, and state that couldn't she finish her conversation with the server later, so I could place an order, as she had left me standing up front. She walked up front to tell me that I should leave the restaurant, because I was being too loud. Worst customer service! Our conversation continued, and I again reiterated that I wanted to place an order, so she took an order pad, and was waiting, but I had to ask her for a menu. I guess she cooled off enough to let me stay, after threatening to make me leave. I placed my order, and was taking out my credit card to pay, but she politely said that the order was on her, and she would take care of the bill. I thanked her. As I was waiting, she also offered me a coffee or another drink, but I declined. The food did not take long, and the server who had originally taken my call, handed me the food, and he also apologized to me. I must add that the restaurant smelled of dirty mop water, or something offensive, and I am glad that I did not stay to dine inside. Could be just that the whole place needs a deep cleaning with fresh cleansers. The interior is about 10 years past a desperate need for a serious design refresh. . Conclusion - I'm torn as to whether I would return, or not, as the food was quite outstanding, and delicious, but it was impossible to order ahead on an app, or online, or on a phone call. read more

My roommate and I like to explore breakfast spots around the Treasure Valley, and we've driven by Shari's countless times saying, "We should try it one day." Well, today was that day -- and unfortunately, it'll be the last. When we walked in, it was clear the staff was overwhelmed after a large group of nine came in. We waited a bit before being seated, which was fine, but when we got to our table, it was still wet from being wiped down. I appreciate a clean table, but if you're going to wipe it, please dry it too. Everything got damp -- the menus, napkins, and even our hands. Not the best start. We ordered coffee and water, which a helper brought out. Both coffee mugs were dirty. Thankfully, our waitress noticed right away and replaced them, which I appreciated. I ordered the Shari's Breakfast Sampler and my roommate got soft scrambled eggs with bacon. The menu says: "Scrambled eggs* with ham and cheddar cheese. Served with applewood smoked bacon and a sausage link." Then above that, it says, "Below items served with 2 eggs*, hash browns, and choice of buttermilk pancakes, toast, or English muffin." To me, that clearly means you get the sampler and a choice of side -- pancakes, toast, or an English muffin. When I asked about it, the waitress cut me off and said, "It comes with all of that," and walked away. The food took a while to come out, even though the place wasn't that busy. When it finally arrived, my plate had pancakes -- no option given. I actually wanted toast, but at that point I didn't want to wait any longer. The food itself was average at best. Nothing stood out. Between the confusion, the service, and the lackluster food, it just wasn't worth it. We won't be going back. There are so many great breakfast spots around the Treasure Valley with better food, friendlier staff, and cleaner service. I can honestly see why so many Shari's locations have closed -- you'd think they'd step up their game with so much good competition around. read more

25 yrs ago I went to a Shari's in our old hometown and today came to this location in Meridian, Idaho. One thing has never changed and that's the inside of a Shari's...the decor and everything down to the tables and chairs is the same. Walking in we were immediately greeted by the hostess/waitress Cassandra. She was so polite and friendly and got us our drinks right away. For food I had the build your own omelette with cheddar cheese, bacon, sausage, mushrooms and fried jalapeños served with crispy hash browns and toast. My wife had the stuffed hash browns and blueberry pancake. I am rating this place on what it is and for that they won't get a 5 star, but for our experience a solid 4 star. Our food came out quickly and was cooked and prepared perfectly. The omelette was well sized and all the flavors were excellent. My wife also loved hers and we both left well satisfied. What was the tipping point was the outstanding service. Cassandra was awesome and one of nicest waitresses we have came across in some time. My wife and I had a GREAT Thanksgiving meal earlier today here, including: Roll/Butter, Sliced Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Bread Stuffing, Corn, Turkey Gravy and extra Cranberry Sauce. Followed by scrumptious Shari's famous pie: Wife-Apple; Me-Pecan. Service was good in spite of the fact that they were really busy. Shari's ambiance is warm and inviting. My favorite tillamook cheddar burger came with just a dry bun. Not exactly the comfort food I wanted to treat myself to. The chocolate cream pie slice was skimpy with just a thin layer of chocolate under the whipped cream. I've always enjoyed Shari's. I hope this experience isn't the new normal. read more

This Shari's location is just off the freeway in Meridian and we thought we could have a quick lunch after a morning at the nearby children's museum. It was not quick and a little disappointingly all around. The ambiance was very homey and dated, though it seemed fairly clean. The service was severely lacking -we had to ask 2-3 times to have our waters filled. The food was overpriced and not great portion sizes or quality, but the pie was great! I get it if a waiter/waitress is busy, but ours just disappeared for long period of time and did not seem to be helping other tables. If Shari's had Denny's prices it'd be a lot more reasonable, but I feel their prices are too high for the very mediocre quality of food. Much better food at hole in the wall places with similar prices. I would come back just for fries and pie, the only non-disappointing part of our meal. read more

One of the few breakfast places open on Thanksgiving! Even the local drive throughs were closed. Social distancing ans masks are needed. Lots of breakfast choices, and we settled on the sandwich and skillet with the extra side of pancakes. In my opinion the pancakes were the best of the day. The sandwich was delicious too. My skillet was ok. The amount of meat in it was disappointing. Our server was excellent, on task and extremely attentive. read more

We have been coming to this location pretty often during week, weekends there has been maybe one time things got alittle messed up but it was due to short staffing is all. Which it is a treat to go out and eat right....so have some patience! However the customer service here we have yet to complain every server my family and I have ever had has been really awesome! I went there with my wife. We have been going there for quite some time but the last time was the worst we had to wait approximately 45 minutes for our food. We saw two couples come in order their food, eat and leave before we got ours. when we got ours it was cold, my wife had to pay extra for avocado and the avocado was black, she ordered the omelette with no meat and asked if we could have avocado instead of the meat the waitress said OK, but we were still billed for it. We don't generally eat at Sharis and it's been many years since we have been in one. But I have to say that our experience here was quite good. We were tired, didn't feel like looking around for a good restaurant, fighting traffic and so on. Sharies was just on the other side of the parking lot from our motel so off we went. Amazingly good service. The fries were very good. My club sandwich was "ok".... her burger was good. We were both full and happy for a little over $12 each. Not too shabby. Perhaps Sharis has upped their game or perhaps this particular franchise is very well run. Whatever the case, we liked it! To show that I do not hold a grudge against Sheri's restaurant After the complete trainwreck of an experience in Pendleton Oregon. This Sharis restaurant was clean the staff was friendly and our food was made to perfection. The bread on my turkey club was buttery and delicious and toasted to perfection. Our server Sandi was very prompt with refilling our coffee And was prompt attending to all of our needs. I mean our food arrived at our table quick but the quality did not suffer at all everything was delicious. It's never been my "go-to" choice because the portions are "average" and I used to be (on vacation from) an overeater wanting the big portions. But now I've learned that Shari's has good food! It's a chain, so you're not getting the small town feel, local establishment atmosphere like you would elsewhere. Today I didn't order food. It's the last day of the month so it's... CHEAT DAY! ...and all month I've been craving Shari's pie and it did... NOT... Disappoint! Marie Calenders closed here in town, so Shari's is a great place to grab a yummy pie and at a good value (12.99-14.99). They have lot's of pies: creamy caramel pecan crunch! Banana Cream Dream!! Smores galore!!! Sweet Montana Cherry!!!! Strawberry Rhubarb Delight!!!!! Oregon Marionberry!!!!!! Dutch Apple!!!!!!! Coconut (okay, too many !!'s)! Sour Cream Lemon, Chocolate cream supreme, Peanut Butter Chocolate Silk and Strawberry Cream Cheese!!!!!!!!!!! (yes, that one deserves all the !'s). So good! Our waitress, Julie made our visit beautiful. Her demeanor alone made my day. We looked around for a simple dinner after a long day's drive and was told to come to Shari's since today they offer a free slice of pie. We are from SoCal and are familiar with Corkys Kitchen & Bakery, which seems to be very similar to Sharis. Food was good, the pie was great, but Julie's service was amazing. Just had dinner and was so disappointed. Ordered the "Thanksgiving" dinner sliced turkey, stuffing, broccoli cheese casserole, cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes. Cranberry sauce was not served with the meal and I had to ask and came in a small cup the same size as the butter I had asked for the potatoes. The little bit of stuffing was to the point of bring rock hard in places when I tapped it with my fork. The broccoli was the best part of the casserole as the rice was over cooked and to chewy . I asked for the turkey gravy hoping it might help the meal and instead of it being hot and pourable on the food it was congealed in the small bowl they brought to the table. When I went to pay I asked if they offered a senior discount and was told they don't offer one!!! Unless I'm going to get a slice of pie I won't eat a meal there again!! read more

Yesterday late lunch time. Food was good. Service wasn't bad. But it wasn't great. We had one child come in with her free birthday drink from a regional coffee chain. The other ordered a breakfast plate and I somewhat nibbled on that as well. We weren't super hungry and knew we were going to dinner later with family to celebrate their newborn and my big baby's birthday. Just needed something to tide us over. But I had to specifically ask the cashier when I paid if they have anything for birthdays. That's when I finally found out about the free slice of pie. The waitress just seemed halfhearted toward us after we only ordered one meal. I felt like I had to explain why we weren't ordering more. But my money is still USD and I still tip 15-20% even when the service isn't great cuz we're in Idaho, and their base pay is about half of minimum wage, which is only 7.25 or something here. read more
